Well organized and lots of products to choose from. Cutting counter staff can be understaffed or overwhelmed with orders at times, so you may have to wait a bit (make sure you get a number!). Even still, i prefer to go here vs the smaller Joann stores in the area.

Good place to get the stuff you need to sew before the end of the day, not for a lot specialty things but usually a decent place to pick-up what you will need.

I LOVE this JoAnn. It is, by far, my favorite. I dont know if it qualifies as a SuperStore, because its HUGE. Theres so much fabric. So many notions. Theres just everything here. What I love about this place? The people! People come up to you and ask, Can I help you with something? They dont do that anymore in retail! It is so refreshing. The cashiers want you to save as much money as possible with your coupons - either the ones printed with your receipt or the ones mailed to you. More than any of this - ample inventory, stellar customer service - they have organized pattern bins! Clean. Organized. Neat. Every pattern is in its proper place. It really doesnt get any better than this place. You wont be disappointed.

Lovely products and beautiful and neat store. Only one note is that make your thread products easier to unravel and to starts sewing with. Extremely hard to pull out the thread from the cut on the plastic holder.

I had to pick up an online order. Line to the one cashier they had was very long. Not only the cashier had to tend to customers she also had to answer phone calls. I usually have a good experience with this place but not todays visit.

First time in this store. Was looking forward to getting some fabric and other items. Employees may be helpful, selection may be good but I couldnt get that far to find out - the music was SO LOUD that it was a complete distraction and I left. Never understand why stores need to play music SO LOUD. It does not enhance the shopping experience.

Guess everybody is sewing these days. The store was pretty crowded, even with 4 cutters waited almost 30 min to get the fabric cut. Tip - get a number for cutting when you go in. The checkout line was fairly long, too. Everybody wore a mask, but some did not observe distancing.

Just had the worst customer service experience on the phone with their associates. Made me pretty sad because I am frequent shopper and was preparing to spend a very large amount of money on one item. I was asking about specific information about a bundle purchase that was not detailed on their website. Needless to say I was hung up on! I understand that people may be having bad days but if I am being very patient with your bad attitude the least an associate can do is answer my simple question! I’ll be contacting corporate.

Great selection of supplies and good coupons but honestly thats about all that is good about the store. Store is messy, cluttered and be careful because price tags are often not in the right place or with the right items. Managers are also reluctant to honor prices when it is brought to their attention even with picture proof.

Covid-19 review: There is a long line outside each day so be prepared to wait. Looking at their website they say that you can order online and then pickup at this store, I didnt need my fabrics right away so this seemed like a good option. I waited 4 days, then received a text that my order was cancelled. So maybe it would be better to simply not offer online ordering w curbside pickup at this time. My order didnt include mask making supplies or anything else you might expect to be in high demand at this time. Sigh.

I love this store. I shop here about 3 times a week. They have all kinds of fabric. I love their flannels to make bandana bibs, and they always have coupons available. Nice selection of upholstery fabric, too!

Excellent collection of quilting fabrics. I was surprised at the variety of soft flannels appropriate for childrens blankets or quilts. Only issue was they were slow with both the fabric cutting and check out. Could be because it was close to closing time. But the store offerings were excellent.

Heres the deal. Selection? Five stars. Staff? Five stars. Location? Five stars. Length of time it takes to check out? ZERO FREAKING STARS. It doesnt matter what time of day or what day of the week you go. 3 PM on a Monday? Theres one dude checking out 15 people. Busy Saturday afternoon? Theres three people checking out dozens. I know brick-and-mortar stores are suffering and have had to cut back on staffing but man. If it wasnt for the camaraderie of crafters stuck in line together, it would be a really unpleasant experience. Maybe its time that Joanns got some self checkout kiosks...

Always have a good experience here! You can hear some of the movies from the theatre next door pretty loudly sometimes, but otherwise their selection is good and their staff is awesome.

Watched people going through counters no staffers ever sanitized. Staff took off the masks to speak. Extremely crowded. I came her for supplies to make masks but was completely scared to get it at this store.Horrifying place.

Somewhat disorganized but well stocked and busy. Lots of good prices on sale items. Take-a-number system for getting fabric cut worked okay. Totally possible to spend ones whole allowance here (in a good way).

No one knows about types of fabrics or where things are located. Over priced and as I have been moving after family illness couldnt find coupons. No cashier would give me a discount, terrible.

I was a little concerned, because I was arriving near closing time, and wasnt sure where to look for the item I needed. Within a few steps I spotted an employee and asked for directions. She was very kind and helpful, pointing me in the right direction. I went to the designated area, where I spotted another friendly employee, who was able to take me to the exact item I needed, and even told me it was on sale.

This place is huge with a really large selection and great staff. I was hesitant to drive 35 monies from Alexandria, but Im so glad I did. They had fabric/parts for my costume that I couldnt get on Amazon, Target, Michaels, the Goodwill, or home goods. Would definitely visit again.

Expect to wait 45-60 minutes for any cutting, and then another half hour to get through the line to pay. Severely understaffed. Online orders have been purposely double charged, and the second hold is released several days after pick up. Terrible service!!

The worst shopping experience ever!over a month has been passed since I placed the order through your website.I didnt do anything wrong, I went to the store and my order wasnt ready. That is the reason I told the cashier to cancel it, he said he did but I never got any proof of that, I called to your customer service over 3 times during a month waiting in line for more than 30 minutes, and when someone gets my call they do nothing about my inquiry!!!This is driving me crazy, Im trying to be patient and comprehensive but this is too much!!!! I just received a report from a co-worker of an incident of blatant racism and profiling at this Fairfax store located in Fairfax Town Center. This is 2019 and there are still issues with groups of people thinking that they are above others based on gender and color. I have lived in Fairfax County myself for 15 years and as a hispanic male born here in the states, I have never heard or experienced anything like what Ive just heard. My co-worker was brought to tears, she is a military active service member 15 years and having served her country and as a pastor, should she be treated in such a manner. I plan to contact management of this store, the property owners and the corporate office to determine how internal training has failed a customer and why she was treated like this.

This Joann is awesome! Its one of the newer ones so it doesnt smell musty and their selection is pretty complete. You cant go wrong with Joann. Super bonus, the all accept coupons from their competitors (AC Moore, Michaels, Hobby Lobby) and you can use as many coupons as you have in 1 purchase as long as they have diff bar codes.

Well seeing how ya spend over $150.00 in material plus other sewing notions. There is one cashier 7 people in line and well no big bags I just have these small bags. Really. Are you kidding me!

Joanns has a little bit of a lot of things, mostly in the mid quality range. Unfortunately theres not a lot of craft stores to choose from in this area, especially not with higher end products (high quality dressmaker fabrics & trims, natural fiber yarns for example). I find that many times I have to make do with the limited choices I have there.

Jo-Anns has been a pretty good place for me to hobby out. I do leather work though and its actually been kind of frustrating to try and find things.The staff are always friendly and helpful. They have a great system for serving people at the counter.Here are my complaints:Stock more zipper stuff. Stock more repair stuff. If I am fixing a zipper, I should have to buy a $14 Assorted Zipper Parts item in order to get one little brass clip that I need. I will probably never need those other parts, because I probably wont ever have those very specific brands of zipper parts to repair. It doesnt justify the price.This and a few other irksome things make me drop a star, but overall a great entry level hobby store.

I had a very bad customer service in Warrenton store so I stopped buying fabrics from that particular location for a Long time, but I needed some fabrics so I drove to Fairfax store. The store is very big and they had what I wanted, but the customer service was the same and not friendly. I will not buy fabrics from Joann any more.

Its a Jo Annns, its average. The store is clean and as about as well kept as you can expect with entitled and careless shoppers coming in the door. Id like to see shoppers focus a little more on how niche it really is a and cater a little more to that.

This store is fantastic. They have all of the craft supplies Im looking for and sometimes those I am not looking for. The staff always reminds me to check for coupons and each of them is always kind and attentive. I really enjoy shopping at this Jo-Ann Fabrics!

Always a super long line. They never have enough staff to accommodate the long lines. They need people on the floor to assist customers. You can never find anyone if you have a question or cant find something. Excellent selection though. Everything youd ever need. Just not a quick in and out place ever. Lots of good supplies but often found store items not organized well especially in jewelry accessories sections. Big carts blocking the items and could be dangerous to many shoppers who would look for items in that aisle. One star off due to one Male cashier staff who always seems careless to his customers or job. When I was in line waited to be called as there was nobody infront of me, he didnt help right away and then giggling..so weird. He also didnt even tell me about special deals or coupon books when I spent over $50 at once. He then asked me how much I just spent after I asked him about black Friday sale and handed me the Calendar.

If your doing curbside pick up don’t expect to get anything in a reasonable time because they’ll just let customers come in the store grab everything then the stuff you ordered is now out of stock because they take over a week to even fill the order and the customers in store took it all. ridiculous. awful customer service. not shopping here again

I was recently looking for ribbons to wrap holiday gifts. A friend suggested I go to Jo Anns Fabric shop. I did and could not believe the large selection I had to choose from. I briefly wandered thru the store.They had the usual items I expected like threads, sewing machines-, a multitude of fabrics and sewing tools. I also found quilting supplies-, storage bins-, yarns, knitting supplies. Take your child to see possible new hobby possibilities. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. There is ample parking at this location off West Ox.
