The staff was great. I found some great snacks but they dont sell whiskey, bourbon, etc. at this location (VA). If wine, beer and mixers are on your list, this is the place to go.

First of all I love that this place has pretty much all the wine that I can look up online and find it here. Secondly, this place also has a section where the top 10 popular wine selection that you can try out that changes every do often. I love their recommendations and pricing is reasonable as well. Finally every section is very well organized and clean so this is awesome if you want to spend your time after work with a glass of wine. I recommend it! =)

Great prices, selection and service. I picked up beer that was sold out at the the location and they honored the same price. I was concerned that name might not honor the sale price when I arrived but I talk with the manager and he was very accommodating.

Staff here are mostly knowledgeable and always friendly. As long as I can explain what I want, someone is always able to find me the right item. Small tip: Its also a great place to pick up an empty carton if you need one.

Absolutely wonderful selections. The employees are really nice and can help you find anything or help you find something to try. There was even a set up for wine tasting. Pretty neat. I couldnt get pictures of everything. Dont be folled by the exterior, this place is a grocery store of wine. (Theres some other sfuff too like craft beer. )

I normally enjoy this store at the other locations because of there huge selection and helpful employees. My first time here, not only did I walk past multiple associates but NONE of them asked me if I needed help. I felt invisible although eyes were keenly directed my way. I witnessed other customers where these same employees intentionally approached them and were overly concerned about how their store visit was going. I wont be going back to the Fairfax location.UPDATE: I was contacted by a representative from the company on the same day of this post. The representative apologized for my experience and said that it will be addressed with the store. I appreciated the time, attention and speedy attempt to resolve the situation. Thank you.

I was at the Fairfax store yesterday and one of the employees, Erin, took a substantial amount of her time trying to find me some more bottles of a German import beer that inventory listed as being there. A LOT OF TIME. I really appreciate her customer service. If it were up to me, I’d give her a raise!

The store has everything you could want, but thats to be expected from a company called Total Wine. The clerks were rude and looked at me as if I were a thug. I wont come back again because the associates here lack people skills. The Total Wine in Springfield is better.

This is one of the best places to buy both beer and wine they have almost everything. I went there to see if they had a beer I discovered in France and sure enough they had it. I was very pleased and picked up a bottle.

Seems odd that a store that is in the business of selling wine would fathom the idea of harassing customers until they choose a different wine selection. If these people are that against a particular wine they sell at their location, then why bother keeping it in your inventory in the first place? If the management team is going to harass me by insisting I not buy the particular blend I specifically want, I am going somewhere else and never coming back. Otherwise, typical store, ok prices. It’s certainly not the best, but if you’re in need of wine and it so happens to be a blend that management agrees with, then I guess it’s worth shopping here.

Ordered online for delivery to family in Fairfax. Order inexplicably not delivered (6 people over 21 at home at time). No explanation on email saying not delivered, but told would forgo $20 in delivery and tip. Phoned to ask and awaiting redelivery. Will update review if successful outcome.UPDATE: after two telephone calls and three emails (all initiated by myself), wine is finally delivered.

I love coming here to grab some seasonal craft beers and rare ones you cant get at the grocery store. I love that I can check if something is in stock before I come by checking online. They also have a huge selection of wines but to be honest Im normally here for the beer!

I had an excellent experience with this store. The staff were very friendly and were always willing to help you find what ever you wanted/ needed. They were very knowledgeable about their products and were willing to share their experience about what they had tried and what others had said about their products. I would definitely recommend this location and store to anyone who is interested in buying these products. Definitely worth the 5 star rating!

Terrific store. Good prices, great selection. Staff is always willing to help. Usually 15% discount on 6 bottles or more and other specials - see your local ads. Conveniently located right off Little River Turnpike.

If you cant find it here, you might as well stop wasting your time. They have everything and reasonable prices. If you visit often, join the frequent shopper program. They respect customer loyalty.

You have to shop the bargains and read the coupons very carefully. For everyday wines I would opt for Costco or Trader Joes. There are some excellent wines.

My first time here. Received very good customer service to find the two specific wines for which I came in. Prices were decent. And found an unexpected treasure: Mrs. Renfroes Ghost Pepper Nacho Cheese Dip. Who knew?

They have everything ranging from inexpensive to expensive beer and wine. the highlight of the trip is always being able to buy the game of thrones beer because it is one of the very few places that I have found it but it is always here. We love our total wine in Fairfax, VA. We adore the vast knowledge from the wine associates and their recommendations! However, this past Saturday, 2/8/20, we had stepped into the store to be welcomed by Dominic. He has always been a fresh breathe of grape wine ideas - resulting in excellent selections for our home! During our 2/8 visit, we were talking with Dominic about the tasting wine - the double oak cabinet- when a tall man in a white shirt came over and with saying “EXCUSE me, Dominic, do you have a moment to assist this couple” INSTEAD - this man was COMPLETELY RUDE and these were his NON CUSTOMER words- “Dominic COME WITH ME.” I STOOD STANDING in DISBELIEF! The WHITE SHIRT TALL man was completely rude to us and His colleague, Dominic!! STOP TREATING DOMINIC in such a disrespectful way- AND HIS CUSTOMERS! Dominic is a brilliant and knowledgeable man in your store!! Have respect for all - RUDE TALL WHITE SHIRT TOTAL WINE MAN!! Very disappointing experience for my husband and myself!!!

High rating for the wine of course. Service, not so much. I usually go to the one in Chantilly, but tried the Fairfax one. Will not do that again. The civil engineer that designed the parking lot, service roads and traffic lights beeds to be fired. Added 15 minutes to my stop. But worse to me, none of the sales people asked if I needed help or had questions. When I did ask an associate a question, she said oh I dont think we we do that anymore. I pointed out two of the signs, and she started to say something and just walked away. I thought she was checking with some one. But no, she was looking out the window. I walked up to her again, and she literally put a hand up, shook her head and walked away.

Incredible selection of wine, beer, ciders. Very good prices, particularly on wines. They have tastings, sometimes the winemaker is there. The rewards program gives regular discounts for winery direct wines. Sales staff are usually very helpful and knowledgeable. They sell liquor in states that allow it. I recommend the Mclean, Fairfax and Ballston stores in that order for size and selection. If you decide to use them, be sure to enroll in the rewards program. They have regular coupons winery direct and occasional for beer.

I come here once in a blue moon. I dont drink but I know a lot of people that do. And so whenever Im looking for gifts, this is the place I come to. They are very organized with the store and the staff is very friendly and approachable!

Something for everyone here. A bit pricey but thats to be expected in a state with crazy alcohol laws. They even have a kosher selection of wine. The neat thing is you can try just one bottle of almost any beer.

The variety is great! However there customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. Two Associates guided me to the products I had questions about and picked them up. The third associate, a female, verbally guided me to the location Then followed me and pointed to the item and said here the way I talk to my dog. I have other locations to shop at wont be returning here by choice.

Amazing selection of wines, particularly my favorites from Germany along the Rhein and Mosel.Somewhat disappointed to see they are cutting back on their supply of one-off porters and stouts. I have really loved being able to be selective and try different dark craft brews, but the last couple months they seem to be cutting back on their stock.

Signage in aisles was too high, in too small a font and products were not placed accurately. Could have gone to a vinyard and back in the amount of time it took to find what we needed.

Great place to find just about any kind of alcohol you fancy. Prices are often cheaper here than going to a grocery store or ABC.They probably have anything you are looking for, if you have the time to look through the thousands of brands. The staff is usually pretty knowledgeable and can help point you in the right direction if you ask them for something similar to a particular beverage you like or need a recommendation.They dont have a wide selection of drinks that are already chilled, so its best to hit this place up earlier in the day to allow time for your beverages to get cold before having guests over later in the evening.A big down side of this place is the location, and more specifically, its parking lot. Parking is usually hectic here, and getting out on to the main road and can be tricky when traffic picks up.

I am writing only on my experiece here as a customer, the store itself if clean, plenty of good wines and is well stocked.I did not like the workers here. Poor customer service and making me feel like I had a fake ID. I am about to have my twenty-second birthday next week and because I am between the age of 21-22 they need to get my ID checked my a manager before they can sell to me. I did not like that I was given a hard time about my ID as I am above the age of 21. The guy asking about my ID was rude and I did not need to be treated like this.On another note- the wine selection here is very good and there is a wide selection of beer here as well. They have free samplings of wine, which was fun, in the store and it was funny that they didnt give me a hard time with my ID for the samples but they did at the check out.

Consistently awful customer service. Management cant staff this place properly to save its life. The growler station is a waste of time. Even if you know what you want when you walk in. Youll wait 30 mins (not exaggerating, happened to me twice) just for someone to walk up to the growler station to take your order. If you place an order for a keg from a local brewery, plan on hearing the staff say 3 times as you fill out the special order form Im not sure we can get that. Well no kidding! Thats why its a SPECIAL order. How about thanks for your order, well see what we can do? And dont be surprised if they never call you back as promised. Avoid at all cost.

A lot like a warehouse type store. Large selection of craft beer and large variety and selections of wine. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable. Prices better then the two most common local grocery store chains in the area. Not sure wine prices much or any better then some of the other newer grocery stores in the area such as Wegmans, or some of the local wine outlet type stores. Parking lot and getting in and out of this location can be tedious and difficult at busy times. There is a Trader Joes next door.
