I come in here at least 2x a month. I love this place. I love the staff! They are always so welcoming. They remember me and always give me the best service I’ve ever experienced. Monique has always been so friendly and someone I would love to help me with my shopping all the time. They need more workers like her she represents the company extremely well. She makes walking in the store feel like home and I wouldn’t want anyone else helping me!

Another great visit! I’m very glad that the store was able to stay open during the various closures in the state which were caused by the pandemic. The reason is clear- they support the essential workers and they take the necessary COVID precautions seriously. They meticulously maintain their store and take care to keep things tidy.With each visit I’ve found the staff to be very polite, professional and courteous. Each staff member demonstrates in depth product knowledge and is quick to provide solutions as I work through which item will exactly meet my various requirements. Today, Monique helped me with a solution for securing medical gear in my Jeep. She was very professional and helpful.If you need good gear or gear advice from knowledgeable and professional folks, this is definitely the place!

5.11 offers very good quality apparel for a fair price. This store has a nice assortment of product and the staff is very friendly. The Rip Stop pants are a great buy for those in need of a pant with a strong material that will not tear. I usually order from 5.11 online, but it was nice to see and feel the quality of the product first hand. Stop in and take a gander.

No... theyre not going to walk you by hand to thru each section of offerings but Ive had nothing but quality customer service (15+ visits) and I will be back, without a doubt! Best selection of any 5.11 store Ive ever seen! Bigger store than Rockville or the others. Good folks in the staff, the fellow with dreds helped demo EDC draws with the pack I was considering, and even pointed out obscure features I wouldnt have known about. Good spot! I sometimes chuckle at the hypermasculine videos playing of tactical shooting and Scottish strength games, but its all part of the fun experience. 😊Wish they had the Cable Hiker boot in stock, corporate seemed to only send 1 demo pair to stick on a manequin and none to sell. And thats what I actually came in to check out in person.

For all tactical apparel and toys make sure to check this place. They have a excellent selection of pants, both nylon and denim. Tshits, polos, and button downs. They also have tactical shoes and boots. The staff is super friendly and helpful!!! The store is really clean and organized!!!!

Monique listened to my needs for a bag, and showed me multiple options for something suitable and tailored for me. She was very knowledge in equipment and what to look out for. Dave, the store manager, also helped me with a few decisions.Will return again!

I was in your store today as I entered the sales person was talking to a lady about product and he was saying if you buy xx amount you getting a free hat or patch i purchase around $140 and when i ask about the free hat or patch the lady in cash register told me they are out if they are out it is ok but why they offered it to her i have been using 511 product since 2010 day in and day out i shop in Atlanta store and in fairfax and online unfortunately today it was a very bad experience never buy from this store again because of their double standards

I usually go to the Rockville 511 where I receive excellent service. However- I needed to make an exchange for a larger size that only the Fairfax store had. Terrible experience. “Monique” should not work in retail as she is rude, argumentative and unable to provide 511 quality customer service. Turns out-without my receipt- I was able to exchange. I won’t be making any purchases at this location anymore due to her lack of assistance. Monique should have more training in how to deal with customer needs and to learn that the customer is always right. Only reason I am giving two stars is because the manager was nice and corrected Monique’s mistakes.

Monique and the staff at the Fairfax location have always been very helpful . Great customer service if a certain item is not in stock at the store Monique and the staff always check to see if another location nearby have it stock. Always like going to the store new items are constantly being displayed.

I wear 5.11 Tactical for work 90% of the time and it was great to find a standard brick and mortar store to visit and try on clothing. The store was very clean and well organized/displayed.Unfortunately thats where my pleasantries and praise end. I have no problems with the 5.11 brand or its products. The problem lies with its employees.I have visited this particular location 4 times over the past year and half. Each time I hoped the staffs customer service had improved over time, unfortunately, I found that the extact opposite happened. Customer service and courtesy was practically non-existent when staff interacted with customers. When staff did approach, the experience was often unnecessarily rushed, hostile, unhelpful, and judgemental. Its saddening to see how youre staff treats customers (let alone industry professionals) with unsolicited comments and brash disregard or respect. I shutter at the thought of visiting this location again and being forced to deal with a truly unwelcoming place and its staff.

If you are into 5.11 this is a great place to shop.

Staff is really nice and helpful. Id say they are a bit over priced on a few items. Boots are fairly priced though and that is what I bought.$130 for a backpack.... Maybe...$30 for a cap, nah that obscure.Since its the only one around they know they can get high prices. If you are in need of something you want to put your hands on. Go here, otherwise look online for better deals elsewhere.

These guys know their gear! I was educated on a pair of tactical pants that had a lot inside that blew my mind. The price is high, but so is the quality of the products they sell. Yes, I would shop there again.

Very cool store if you are looking for this type of year. I was in the market for a good backpack and there were a number of excellent options. Prices are high, but quality is also high.

Would give negative 5 stars if i could!!!As someone who wears this apparel for work everyday I appreciate having a retail store to go into. Unfortunately when I stopped at Fairfax store the staff were ignorant (cashier), hypocritical (manager) and rude (both of them) so I left. Looks like I will have to drive to the Springfield (which is amazing) store from now on.

ALCON;It really doesn’t get any better than this. Really great sale’s staff and a great selection of clothes from those that are out in the field and down range; to those of us riding a desk. Also, they sell black rifle coffee. The only thing I want them to do is sell those awesome sandals/slides for post workout recovery. Bring back the sandals!

Think twice before buying anything from 5.11 especially anything on clearance. Unfortunately I bought a clearance anorak online that I wanted to return or even exchange for a smaller size, only to get told no returns etc and they would be doing me afavor by letting me pick out something at the same price. That would be better than nothing I suppose, but this wasnt what I needed so I doubt I will buy from 5.11 in the future.

Great place and staffs! Hope they have 2018 new releases soon.Make sure the destination is actually in front of building before you start. Somehow it leads me to backside of building and my friend to 66 so he had to go all the way to Centreville and came back.

I am so happy this store came into my area. Went during the black friday and cyber monday weekend and got some amazing deals. I got exactly what I was looking for an affordable price. Seems like items that arent on sale are expensive but honestly the quality and fit speaks for itself too.In addition the staff could not have been friendlier. Really a wonderful group of guys who were always available to help but werent pushy either.Will definitely be coming back to see the different things they have on stock.
