Ive been putting off doing my kitchen floor for 15 years! I have shopped at at least 20 establishments and have gotten a few estimates over the years. I never really found a floor that I was completely happy with. I decided to stop by Flooring America in Fairfax and there selection is amazing. Roggie was very helpful in helping me find the tile that I had been searching for. He checked on the tile I had chosen to let me know if there would be any delays on delivery. He even helped me choose a grout color. Mark came to our home to measure and explained what work would need to be done to install the tile. He made sure that the contract was complete and I that I was informed exactly what and why the charges were necessary. The installers were on time and didnt need to be babysat. They were very knowledgeable and did an fantastic job, paying attention to fine detail. The entire process went very smoothly from the contract to the installation. Im saving to get my wood floors replaced. Flooring America is amazing and I would definitely recommend them and use their services again.

We reviewed hardwood flooring options to replace carpeted floors in a second level hallway and two interior bedrooms. The sales representative was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful, and provided a timely quote for product and installation. Being a bit of a contract buff, I asked that the proposed contract text be modified for specificity and the request was honored timely (contract language was changed to be more specific regarding installation). The follow-up, in-home review and measurement was performed timely by a friendly and professional individual. The install schedule was set, and the installers arrived timely on the install date. Installation took all of one day (early morning through about 5:30 pm). The installers were constantly busy and I reviewed the progress 3 or 4 times as the install was ongoing - the attention to detail of installing the hardwood around both a straight hardwood rail base and a long, curved hardwood rail base was EXCEPTIONAL. I was extremely impressed with the perfectly tight seams around those hardwood rail bases. A few days passed before a separate carpet installer stopped by to finish streching the carpet at the both ends of the hallway where the hardwood install met the carpeted end bedrooms, and that work was also excellent (work took about 10 minutes). Overall, we are EXTREMELY pleased with both the product and all aspects of the service received from Flooring America in Fairfax, VA. Ive done business with FA for carpet, hardwood, and marble and ceramic tile over the past 13 years and have never been disappointed. Price and product, and especially service at FA is outstanding.

I decided to remove my wall-to-wall carpet in my condominium and replace it with rigid luxury vinyl tile flooring. Could not be happier with the results.I visited several flooring companies and chose FlooringAmerica in Fairfax, VA. They had an extensive selection to choose from and they allowed me to take home several samples for one week.I decided to go with Karastan pickled curated grain white oak. I wanted a light wood like look, and it was the best that I sampled. Judge for yourself, see attached pictures.The team did an amazing job in two days. I am incredibly pleased and satisfied with the outcome. Cannot beat the quality at an affordable price. It was delightful working with Yamah and Vivian, an exceptional team of flooring consultants at the Flooring America Fairfax. Both were very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful with floor covering ideas for a recently purchased two bedroom condo.I decided to go with the luxury vinyl planks (LVP) in the living/ dining room area and carpet in the master and kids bedrooms. I would highly recommend Flooring America. I worked with Yamah, at the store and beautiful showroom for the selection and sale. He was very kind and competent. I am very pleased with the hardwood floor refinishing, the new carpets for all our bedrooms, hallway and stairs as well as a den. the quality of the installation was very good and my floors look fantastic.

FA went beyond the call at every point: 1) Tile sample - Dal Tile couldn’t get locally, FA stepped in with their contacts and had it shipped from Dallas in 2 days. 2) Install - arrived at appointed day/time, masks on, and completed the work in 1/2 day less. Everything was moved or protected, and installers went over all previously made decisions just in case there had been a change. 3) Finishing pieces - we didn’t have the floor stain for the transition strip, but FA went to a nearby store and matched the color, so we didn’t have to wait a week for the job to be completed. 4) follow up - we noticed a few blemishes on the wood base re-installed, and FA manager came out and sanded/painted himself, made sure we were happy.

We selected Flooring America Fairfax to replace our W-W carpeting with hardwood flooring on the entire second floor of our house. Vin, our salesman, was very knowledgeable and accommodated all of our requests. He kept us informed and up to date through the entire process. Marks installation crew was top notch. They worked well as a team and did a great, and very quick installation. We expected a 3+ day furniture move, carpet removal, and new flooring installation. I looked at three other companies before choosing Flooring America. They were the only ones that had the tile I wanted in the color I wanted. The flooring team did a great job and finished in one day!! Since this work was the kitchen floor, that was important. There was a charge for work that needed to be done that I hadnt been told about, but it was straightened out to my satisfaction. Vin was a big help. I would use them again.

We used Flooring America Fairfax when we recently re-furnished the floors on our upper level. Overall our experience was very good from start to finish. The Sales Specialist we worked with, Yamah, was very responsive and helped us a lot when we were picking out our luxury vinyl plank flooring. Pricing was competitive with other places, and there werent any hiccups with installation either. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were interested in having almost the entire flooring, stairs, and stair railing in our townhouse completed by Flooring America. Went there in late May to discuss this with a sales representative, Yamah. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different materials and was very good at answering our questions. We scheduled an appointment for the floors to be measured for a quote and that appointment went very smoothly. We were told that we would hear back within 48 hours. We didnt receive any emails or calls, so we contacted them 5 days later and were told that they were waiting for us to come in to finalize the material, but that was never relayed to us. We went there and finalized the flooring and railing design for the quote and were told that it would be about 3 days until we get a quote. We never had any direct follow up. We have contacted them atleast 5 times via phone and atleast 4 times via email all with responses saying that they will get us the quote by the next day or two. The follow up has been horrendous and very discouraging. We were already on the cusp of a price increase for the materials, so we are now paying more than we would have if Flooring America would have been timely with their follow up. Its been atleast two weeks now trying to get any straight answer from Yamah and their team. If they are too busy to accommodate their current load, they should have informed us. This area is not hurting for contractors, so if they want to stay in business, they are going to have to do a much better job.

We have done a few projects with this store. I am always pleased with the range and quality of the products and the attentive service. I really like working with Roggie.

The quality of the carpet is strong. The sales process was impressive. The showroom was, too. But the install, follow up and resolution to issues- I cannot say anything positive. After spending more than $11k, one would think we’d not have issues. Simple communication could have resolved much of the issue. Completing the job (reinstalling doors removed, checking that other doors would open and close... making us aware that there were loose floorboards and now they will squeak).... the very basic things...these things were not done. When you invests in a project, you expect service to go along with this. The safety protocols of the contractors- there is room for improvement there, too. I understand that masks are prohibitive when performing heavy manual labor, but when you come back to look at the areas we have concerns about- we should not have to provide a mask to you to enter our home.These observations and comments are not a surprise. We communicated this to both the sales person (who was a very nice and professional man), as well as the OPS Mgr, who was also very nice add professional but lost another $6k sale over a $400 fee that we agreed to pay because we believe paying for services performed. My wife and I are both small business owners and know the power of reviews, and the follow up and service expected by our respective clientsI very seldom write reviews that are not positive; however, I’m writing this as I received an email asking me to share my experience. Transparency? Or a lack of internal and quality control? Other reviewers have positive experiences- maybe this was a one off. Unfortunately- this was not a match for us.

I contracted Flooring America to do take out and installation of new hardwood flooring in a relatively large area. Every process and team member was professional; from the quoting, to tear-out, to installation. They provided a schedule, met the schedule (actually 2 days early) and the workmanship was excellent. This was my first experience with their company, and I would certainly recommend based on my experience.

If you want fabulous floors, installed perfectly at a very affordable price you need look no further than Flooring America Fairfax. In addition, their customer centered approach is professional and exceptionally friendly and competent. We chose the Armstrong rigid core for the interior and large format tile for the terrace and couldn’t be happier with the final result. Flooring America also has a team of workers who can take care of some other renovation work including electrical work, hanging lamps, installing appliances and putting in wardrobes. We took advantage of some of these skills and were pleased with the quality of the work performed.

From scheduling, home shopping appointment, and installation, each of them were very concerned that we were pleased with their service. The two men who installed the 5 area rugs worked above and beyond our expectations, cheerfully lifting beds to slip the rugs under until we were satisfied with their placement. We put in deluxe vinyl floors in our finished basement and are impressed by the result that Flooring America delivered. The installation team completed the job in one day (two large rooms and corridor) including removal of carpeting and correcting a few spots on our cement floor. Back at the showroom, Kelly Knight had skillfully guided us through the selection process and patiently helped us select several floor material candidates, letting us take samples home to try them out in our homes light. Flooring America Fairfax provided exceptional customer service and high quality work at a competitive price and on schedule. My positive experience with this company began immediately, as Kelley--a design consultant and sales rep--contacted me within hours after I posted an online request for an estimate. She was great at responding to our tile flooring questions, politely offering things to think about, and expediting multiple estimates based on different options to assist in our planning. Marc was excellent as the project overseer, regularly inspecting the work and making himself available for questions. And the foreman (sorry I forgot his name) who did the majority of the tile work was fantastic; he was precise, diligent, and professional and did a superb job. His crew was excellent as well. Everyone in the company was very pleasant to interact with, regardless of their role in the process. All in all, I would give Flooring America Fairfax my strongest possible recommendation and I intend to use them for any future flooring needs.

Replaced carpet with hardwood in MBR. Flooring America did a great job. They arrived on time, worked fast, cleaned up everything and even were able to work around a large bed and dresser that were too big to disassemble and move out of the room. We are very happy with their work.

I had a wonderful experience with Flooring America. I went to their store needing carpet installed asap in a townhome we were preparing for rental. They were able to promptly get me scheduled within days of visiting the store. They worked with any schedule changes I needed to make, were very responsive and easy to get ahold of and overall did a great job. The carpet itself looks great and I would use their company again.

We are very pleased with FAF; the estimate was done as scheduled, their prices and products were very competitive against the other prospects, and after selection, their crews worked into the evening to complete the job to our total satisfaction!

I am very happy with our experience with Flooring America. Honestly, I didnt get a second estimate from any other company. This is due to the fantastic customer service I got from Flooring America about 10 years ago on a VERY small project for my kids bathroom. I thought then that if they gave that kind of service for a small project that I would definitely look at them when it came time to do our carpet and hardwood. Kristi and Robbie (?) came to the house for an estimate and to review the job and were very friendly and helpful and it just continued in the showroom with Kelley. She was a great help picking out options and didnt bat an eye when I completely changed my mind from luxury vinyl plank to having my hardwoods refinished! She was also very patient as I continually peppered her with questions about the difference in the carpets. They allowed me to take samples home over a long weekend to look at them in the house. Etc. Etc. Etc. The installation was timely scheduled and completed. There were very minor hiccups but nothing that they didnt come out and address right away. I would absolutely recommend Flooring America.

The floor itself was nice, but I was dissatisfied with everything else. It was delayed 2 weeks because they erroneously thought there was asbestos under the carpet. I couldnt get my phone calls returned. I had to repaint the floor molding because they left it in bad shape. They didnt put things back where they were, and they left the bathroom filthy.

The sales team, operations manager and other staff at Flooring America are top notch. Im very pleased with their efforts in serving the customer. Excellent follow up and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this firm to anyone looking to purchase and install flooring. They are the best!

Let me tell you what a nightmare this has been. I went to the beautiful show room. The sales people are wonderful very knowledgeable. Their scheduling dept didn’t have any information on me yet. So I called back to my sales person. I was told oh because we didn’t send it yet. That was a couple of days later so I was given this information. So I was given the number to the person who did the scheduling and set up the scheduling myselfThis is when the fun started, a job that should have been 3 hours turned in a 7 hour ordeal. I need pieces of sub flooring. The person said they were going to go get it from home dept. took them 2 hours, I had to keep calling so I called the store and my sales person had to stay in touch with the person. They left 2 young kids at my house who were sitting in my window seal. Which I gave then towels to sit on. They broke my light fixture in the basement, the I was told I have to go buy the fixture and they will reimburse me. After all that time I had to go to church. When I came home my husband found a lot of marks made by a machine in our beautiful new floorI have a lot of work for them but this is not a professional way to treat a customers house. I don’t like getting the run around nor should I go buy a light fixture.The flooring is beautiful I just don’t want to go through something like this again. The showroom is clean and beautiful. I just hope I get everything corrected.

They have a nice assortment of products that fit my budget. The sales associate was a pleasure to deal with. I shopped around for quotes from Home Depot & Lunas, but this contractor not only beat their process, but did the work in a timely and outstanding manner. They event remedied an issue I had with molding in the bathroom. I highly recommend them.

I went from store to store looking for our home flooring options. I wasnt happy till I found out about Flooring America. Great selection at a very reasonable cost. We had an extensive water loss and it caused the first floor wood flooring to be replaced. I worked through my insurance company and was referred to Flooring America. My POC was Kevin Yohey. He was very responsive to any questions, he coordinated the other vendors that needed to be involved which included a moving company and kept in contact even when he was on vacation. After the job was done he checked to make sure I was satisfied which I was. He was great. Very happy.

We worked with Kelley ordering our new engineered hardwood floors. Kelley was knowledgeable and patient with our decision making process. Initially, we thought we would install some hardwood and some carpet in our home. She showed us the carpet options and wood options, as well as, completing cost comparisons for our best pricing and material. Because of her expertise and deligence, not only were we able to order the wood for some of the rooms, we were able to complete all of our bedrooms and closets as well. We decided to install the wood floors ourselves, and it took less than 3 weeks from start to finish for us-we had never installed wood floors before! The floors are gorgeous and we love them. Now we are debating whether or not to complete one set of stairs. We would definitely recommend Kelley to our family and friends for her flooring expertise with Flooring America in Fairfax!

We price shopped for carpet and ended up choosing Flooring America. Doug Hernandez worked with us and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I was concerned about the installation; however, the two guys that came were amazing! They did an excellent job and were extremely fast. I will be going back to Flooring America when I need carpet again.

We had a fantastic experience with the team at Flooring America. We had originally picked out flooring and were starting to set up the installation with a big box store (big mistake). Thank goodness we found Roggie at Flooring America. Roggie answered all of our questions and spent a long time picking out samples that would work for the countertops and cabinets we had in our house when we visited the showroom. The end product is amazing! The installers worked through the weekend to get the job finished. Were still finding little things they did to make the project look great. I have recommended Flooring America to one of my coworkers who is looking to have flooring replaced in her house and were going to schedule an appointment with Roggie to look at adding a tile backsplash as well.

Great place to shop for you’re tile needs!

We had a great experience with FAF. We installed an LVP in our basement and replaced the carpeting on our stairs with wood. We also installed rubber flooring in our home gym. After exploring a couple of options, we chose FAF to install their Galvanite brand of LVP. All of the crews were great, from the person they sent to measure the rooms, to the guys who did the installation. All were very knowledgeable and hard working. Weve had many compliments on the Galvanite LVP. It is a thicker and wider plank than anything competitors offered. I would definitely use this company again for flooring jobs.

Our experience was horrorible!! The Scheduler did NOT schedule us; and when he did, nobody knew were the paperwork was to tell us what the schedule was.Also, Flooring American keeps asking for our comments and review even though we said to stop sending these request. Thus, this is proof nobody at Flooring American read the review for its customers or e-mails to them.Also, they do not indicate that in order to publish a review you have to highlight one or more start prior to pressing the Publish button.

Kudos to Doug Hernandez as a sales representative including the Flooring America team. After soliciting multiple bids, Flooring America offered the best value for my dollar. I purchased and had Armstrong Lux Vinyl installed in my town home basement…exceeded my expectations. Looks and feels like wood and water resistant. Ideal for basement or high traffic areas. Great experience. The installation team led by Franklin Lavato arrived on time and as performed as promised. Appreciated Doug Hernandez and the Flooring America patience, professionalism, and knowledge. I will definitely consider, perhaps use Flooring America for future home flooring projects.

We LOVE Flooring America, on Golansky Blvd. We were in need of carpeting for 2 bedrooms, back in October, and there was a COLUMBUS DAY SALE going on. We were able to purchase the carpeting, for the 2 bedrooms, AND our master bedroom, AND the hallway, livingroom and stairways as well. We got the sale price, and because Flooring America had the option, for THEM to store it for 4 months, we were able to BUY it on SALE, and have the carpeting installed in 3 phases. When we had that all installed, we ordered the vinyl and it was installed this past week. William Hill, was our sales rep, who is very PROFESSIONAL in helping to make our selections. The carpet installers, were PROFESSIONAL, in every way, AND SAM our Vinyl expert did a REMARKABLE job installing it.
