Love the staff here, especially the folks in the furniture section. Abdul and Mehdi are incredibly polite, supportive and go out of their way to help and accommodate customers. The senior management can sometimes sound a bit contemptuous, but nothing to worry about!

Great for this and that. Good christmas stop! We always come here for the holidays. Good for kitchen stuff as well.

**Update: Come to find out this store suffered a power outage lasting a while which happened to be during the same time I tried calling. Store is nice and has a typical Big Lots set up/layout. I walked around for a bit and they seem to have a decent selection. Furniture department is pretty large and has a wide verity for you to choose from. Would recommend.Phone doesnt work so you cant call the store to see what they have in stock... Theres 3 options, option 3 is the only one to speak with someone. When you select it it says its unavailable.

The store is good it has low prices and you can usually get in and out of there pretty quickly! You can sign up for email coupons and that sort of thing if you like to do that. My only complaint is its a little bit disorganized product-wise as far as finding a particular item on the shelves. Usually items are not where they were before the last time you found something you wanted to buy

They have good stuff. I go here for household stuff and furnitures. Their bedding selection is good, and so are their seasonal items: Holidays decors, patio furniture etc

We bought an out door dining set from big lots. The sales associate was as helpful as he can. For businesses like these (big lots, Walmart, Target, Kmart), helpful sales associates are hard to find.

A true discount store. Remember to check their discount bins for great prices. Also get a big lots card which gives to great bonuses.

Great selection of merchandise at this location, actually the store is quite spacious. The cashier on duty was extremely pleasantly.

The Fairfax location is CLOSING! I asked the manager when would be the last day, and he said the end of the month, the way things are selling. Currently the discount is 30% off everything in the store.There is still foods, beverages, clothing, pots and pans sets, hair accessories, detergents, car stuff, kitchen utensils, bedding sets, candy, batteries, electronics and nic-nacs.There were few Christmas decorations left, but not a large selection to choose from.The will be selling store fixtures too.Items will be reduced to 50% off, but he said he did not know when.The store is next door to Walmart and Walmart is supposinly expanding to that space.Sorry to see them go, when I just found them!

A discount store. More food than other Big Lots locations I have visited.

Big Lots off Jermantown Rd in Fairfax provides easy access, great parking, & a clean, organized store. Employees are helpful & friendly. Shelves are well stocked & prices very competitive with its adjacent neighbor, Wal-Mart. STAHLS Exotic Veterinary Clinic with its own parking area is located next to Big Lots.

Often can get products and flavors not offered elsewhere locally. Easy returns.
