My wife and I stumbled in while we were traveling and LOVED it! Reminiscent of an old general store, this place had a little of everything: Jerky, candles, snacks, records, trading cards, craft sodas… it was fun to just peruse their collection! The owner was very nice and explained everything we had questions about and gave us some helpful directions and local knowledge. Wished we lived closer!

Best snacks in Fairfax! Treat yourself to a cold Cheerwine or RC Cola from a glass bottle. Cool vinyl. Great t-shirts. Delicious coffee and beautiful mugs to drink it from. The best smelling candles. I just can’t say enough about how fantastic this store is. If you don’t shop there, you’re doing it wrong.

This shop is a perfect fit for the area and really fills a void. They have great sodas, chips, and other snacks but also have records, cassettes, local coffee, and much much more. The owners are great people and super friendly. Best of all they sell a lot of products from veteran owned businesses. Three thumbs up from this guy. Stop by and spread the hay!

Great people, great local and not so local products!

Owner sold me $30 candle that gained me entrance into an exclusive event. He then committed fraud by opening it to the public for free. For someone that constantly brags about how much money he has, Chad (owner) has no qualms with stealing a few thousand dollars from his customer base. I just reported Commonwealth Dry Goods to the better business bureau and provided receipt and screen shots of Chads tweets as proof of the fraud.

Had a wonderful experience. This is a charming store that offers a little bit of everything, and I will be back soon.

This is a great little store to get nice gifts for people or just something good to snack on during the day. Anyone who wrote a negative review has to be a pompous a-hole with an underlying agenda. Nothing negative to be said about this store at all. Will be back.

Just a great place to get lots of stuff thats not the same brands you see in 7-11 or Sheetz. Awesome assortment of gift items too.

First time in the store today nice selection of dry goods and miscellaneous items from the Vintage cards to the candy cigarettes to the records. Owner was very polite and fun to talk to. Youre go-to to place to get Cheerwine.

CWDG is a great little shop in the heart of Fairfax offering a wide selection of tasty local snacks, beverages and more. You can stock up on everything from beef jerky, to peanuts and pretzels, to old school sodas like Cheerwine and Sun Drop! They always have a great selection, most of which are from Virginia and Maryland companies, and there are always new items being added. Take my advice and skip the typical souvenirs and crappy snacks from chain stores. Buy yourself some delicious, local snacks, candles and trading cards from Commonwealth Dry Goods!
