I took a set of heads here they did a great job. They were reasonably priced. They did a quick turnaround.

I took my engine to them out of my 1997 mustang cobra after being stiffed and robbed by a shop called Raes Auto in Hiram Georgia (dont use them for any mechanic work). After a couple weeks, they had my engine rebuilt for a great price and didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. I had the engine installed and it ran GREAT!! I was very pleased with the results. I had the engine installed at Pleasant Grove Auto in Pleasant Grove, Alabama and they did a great professional job, even repairing items that were out of place or wrong. Thanks to Johnny, Mike and company at Cylinder Head Service for a great experience and great work!

Had them redo and shave a set of 5.3 liter gm heads for my Yukon about a year ago. Ole girl still runs like a top. Next Im going to turn in some 3.5 heads from a Sedona and see what kind of magic they can do. Yall are awesome!

If its a cylinder head they service it and do a very good job.

Motor been there for months and hasnt been touched. Now they cant locate it.

Slow

Nice enough guys if you can get them on the phone. Prices were reasonable and I was pleased with the work they did. But they took six weeks to do a job they quoted me two for, and when they returned it to me they neglected to include some key parts that are very difficult to replace (rear heater outlet and coolant temp sensor). I tried for two weeks to get them to find these missing parts, but they never called me back when they said they would, and ultimately just stopped taking my calls. Upshot is I missed a race I was scheduled for, and have spent weeks tracking down the missing parts, and more money out of my own pocket. Will not do business with again.

Great service great pricing

In 2014 it is very difficult to find people who take pride in their work. Cylinder Head Service takes pride in their work and the work they did for me was exemplary. The head was a cast iron vintage head from a 1948 Norton single cylinder motorcycle. The valve guides were worn and are difficult to find and expensive. Cylinder Head Service sleeved the valve guides with high quality bronze valve guide sleeves. The clearances were restored to factory specifications and the head cleaned and refurbished. Nothing was less than first class and their fee was quite reasonable.

Ifi could leave less than one star i would. The only good thing this company did for me what get me a better price on a rebuilt head.tje service was terrible, everytime i went in therei waited 10 plus min just to be greeted and most people were just standing around looking at me. I dropped a 4.0 jeep block off to them to get it bored and vatted and have cam bearings put it, he told me if would be 2 days. 2 weeks later i finally have to drive from alabaster to midfield just to see if the block was done due to them failing to ever answer any phone call of mine. I get there and was told buy( i believe his name was johnny) that it had not been done yet and that they didnt know when i was going to be back after they had already quoted me 2 days. I told him i had tried to call several times at which he replied i cant do anything about that and its not my problems even though he is the person in charge. I gave them another chance because i had no choice and i left my block there and he said he would have it ready by the next day. I gave them 2 more week and tried to call multiple times agaim with no answer. I drove down there and he saod he had just started on the block but wasnt finished, i asked what he jad done to it to which he explained he cleaned it and knocked out the cam bearings. I decided to go ahead and take the block to a dofferemt shop due to his horrible and unprofessional attitude, i back my car to their bay door to pick it up and the only thing tjat had been done to it was the bearings were knocked out, je jad lied about the washing it. I loaded up the block and took it to precision automotive in birmingham where i have had superb service. The service was at cylinder head service was unprofessional and a down right joke. I definitely wont be going back

Johnny and his team always get it done and done right. And we bring in everything from very heavy diesel engine heads to train horns we need blasted and aluminum welding work done for restoration work.
