He’s very passionate about what he does.Troubadour has the best pour over around. I know some people think this place is expensive, but you’d pay the same for a pour over anywhere else. And the baked goods are cheaper than most others spots. I’m obsessed with the banana cake!I love that troubadour has a patio option too and it’s never busy or loud. (And I come here frequently)I love it!! So happy I discovered this coffee shop!

This is a nice and chill coffee shop that has quality coffees and teas. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of all their coffee and tea selections. They do not offer flavors for lattes or creamers because they focus on the flavor in the coffee beans and believe that’s how it should be consumed. But they do have almond milk and soy milk to go with your lattes or cappuccino. The atmosphere is nice with pictures of the owner traveling overseas for coffee beans. And the music is chill lo-fi which is great for working. I recommend this place if you’re looking for quality coffee flavors instead of sugary frappuccinos.

The coffee is pretty good, quality and roast wise. I just get an off vibe from the owner and the people that have worked there. As a person in the specialty coffee field myself, I pride myself on both being extremely knowledgeable and kind. I feel like it could be better.

Traveling. Wanting to avoid corporate coffee. Decide to try Troubadour, despite reading a review commenting on the unkind vibe. Wife and I went in. Chose and ordered two pourover coffees. Waited. The barista made and served our coffee. We looked around the store for cream or half and half. Finding none, my wife asked. Was told, shortly, that they do not serve pourovers with cream. Okay. Fine. Can we get some? Barista repeated that they do not serve pourovers with cream. Insisted that he had told us this before we ordered, though neither of us heard this, and we would not have ordered these coffees had we known. We heard no such thing, we said. Then you were not listening, we were told. So youre saying we cant get milk? asks my wife. I didnt say that, replied the barista testily. He went on to serve another customer. We were incredulous. I noticed another man ordering a pourover and it was obvious hed never been there. I hope you dont want cream in that, I said loudly, as you cannot apparently get such things here. All of this when clearly, since this shop also sells lattes and other espresso drinks, that the mixing of roasted coffee beans with the lowly daily products is not wholly unacceptable, and there is clearly dairy on the premises.Imagine: this young man thinking he can dictate our preferences for us, here in these polarized and highly-stressed times when people are more on edge, and more in need of comfort and kindness, than ever. We left. I dumped my high-priced high-quality hoity-toity coffee on the ground in protest and left in search of a kinder cup. I shall not return.

Quite simply, I cant think of a better place in the Cleveland area to get a cup of coffee. The owner is passionate about his trade, and it shows. All of the coffees are excellent, and roasting is done onsite in small batches. The cappuccinos are my favorite, and I cant recommend the freshly baked banana bread enough!

Really high end coffee. Directly from growers around the world. They dont let you add cream or sugar to your coffee and they only have one size. This is so you can experience the unique flavors of the actual beans, and they will happily explain to you why high quality coffee doesnt taste burnt when made right.

Went to this place for the first time a few weeks ago for a good place to study. At first when the owner told me there was no cream or sugar, I definitely thought about leaving haha. But I got a latte and it was SO GOOD!! You could really taste the espresso and it had a layer of cream on the top that just satisfied your taste buds. I will definitely be back. At first, I thought the whole experience at this coffee shop was a bit annoying. Didn’t have any sweeteners for the coffee, there was a lot of talking about the beans and where they came from and how there is no need for sugar. But after I left I could tell the guy is very passionate about the coffee that he makes. He goes to different countries and pick the beans and makes the coffee the way it is meant to be tasted.I didn’t really get the full understanding about all the information given to me in a short time. Once we got to the car and I tasted it. It was amazing! Then I felt everything this guy was talking about in our short meeting. I would go to the place again but I wouldn’t want to lecture on coffee beans unless I had time. However, I wish the guy would have coffee making classes or classes on the differences in the beans and so on.I still remember a lot from my first negative experience that turned into a big positive!He also has speciality tea!

People who can appreciate a great cup of coffee need to try this place. Tony only serves his coffee black, which is appropriate for how good it is. If I dont roast up a batch of beans myself i get my beans from Troubadour. Everyone there is knowledgeable and friendly. Try a coffee flight if you want to see how different the coffee tastes.

I have been visiting this independent neighborhood coffee house for some time, on a regular basis, with my husband. We have found consistently good, friendly service. The high quality of the coffee and tea makes this place stand out from the chains. The pictures from Central America, the coffee plants and burlap bags land an air of authenticity. Great hand selected coffee beans. This is where I go to spoil myself on coffee. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I have yet to have any beers they serve here, but I will in the future. I feel the prices are pretty fair for a high end product that I always thoroughly enjoy.

I tired this coffee shop on its first day opening. I was very excited for a new specialized coffee shop in Fairview Park. I was waiting for months watching them fill the building with all of their things. I was so excited when they opened and now I visit as often as my budget allows me to.I am very picky about my coffee drinks but I have to say, this shop makes THE BEST beverages around! I have had the mocha and recently switched to the Lady Jester (dark chocolate and raspberry!) it is so unique and delicious. Be sure to make this a regular stop!!

Small batch roasting, a varied selection of beans and processes, and a knowledgeable barista means I get amazing coffee every time. They also have bakery items including biscotti (cherry one is awesome) and banana cake which was so good! Quiet place to relax in, too. UPDATE: attended a coffee class there on 1/12/19 - Great information (Tony is a self proclaimed coffee nerd and proved it!). Wonderful tasting menu and got great tips for brewing better at home. Give the class a look even if you think you know coffee - well worth the time and price.

This is the best coffee I ever had in the whole county. They use grade a single source coffees. You can get a different coffee every day of the week or one you like while it is in stock. It is pricey but if you have a fussy pallet it is worth the price.

First and last visit today. All we wanted is a nice cup of hot coffee and we instead got a 10 minute speech on how ignorant coffee drinkers are. I get the passion but dont insult customers who would like a little cream in their coffee. We were guaranteed a smooth cup of coffee and frankly it was very acidic . No music, very small selection of food.

Hot chocolate was not that great but this place was really nice for having a conversation with a friend. Its nice and quiet, not too crowded, and had a nice view of the snow outside the window.I actually hope to come back and try their coffee and dessert at some point. Would recommend if you want a quiet, small coffee shop.Edit: this place has quite literally the best coffee I have ever had. I strongly suggest getting it black, even if you dont normally drink black coffee. They put a lot of thought, work, and care into their ingredients and it really shows. Look for yourself at other negative reviews and see how many other people gave those reviews a thumbs up. Now look at the positive reviews and see how many people gave those a thumbs up. The worse and most expensive almond latte in Cleveland area. The coffee tasted like grinds of coffee, very unpleasant taste. I respect their philosophy of drinking coffee without any milk or added products, but not the type of coffee they offer there...hope this helps.

Troubadour makes the best iced mocha Ive ever had! I try to make it out there at least monthly as a treat for myself. Im always surprised to see it pretty empty because the coffee is fantastic!

If you are into specialty coffee, this place is the place for you. By all indications it is considerably better than Starbucks. If all you want is a quick cheap caffeine fix this place is not for you.

First, Im a little spooked that the man is gonna read this and respond bc i saw that he does that to every comment. Second, if you like anything other than black coffee dont come here. I understand the concept, but this IS NOT a wine tasting. I felt bad by the end of his long speech, so i bought something, drank a few sips, desperately wanted some sugar, and left. Also his definition of dark roast coffee was completely wrong.

I go here as often as possible. You cant beat the experience of the coffee, there is nothing else like it. Im always impressed how the flavor notes change while I sip my first cup. When Im in the mood for something a little sweet, I get either the Mocha or the Chai Tea. The iced chai tea is great on a hot day.I would highly recommend stopping in and giving it a try. The banana cake is perfect every time I get it.
