Very nice and earnest place, they answer all of your questions sincerely which not many auto places do, and state clearly what they are going to do. They also asks for permission if any extra works needs to be done and explain why it is needed.I took my car to many places before and this place indeed is few of the best.

Tae’s been taking care of my vehicle for LONG time. Thanks to his professionalism and knowledge, my 2009 Honda Accord still runs like a brand new car.Got some brakes and rotor works done by Tae recently, oh man, my car runs and brakes so smoothly. Highly recommend for his honest opinion and great work.

As a deaf customer, this place is a top-notch! they really take their time to communicate with me effectively, he writes everything i need to know and understand of whats happening with my car. he did not take advantage of me when i thought i had a problem with my car, he was very honest and open what he knows and understand and shares it with me. they are amazing and i definitely will come back and recommend this place in a heartbeat :)

Tae and his group are definitely not hi-techs. Could not diagnose an oil leak or wheel vibration cause. Lied about about fluids that were filled in car previously. Waste of money and time. These guys are crooks and shouldnt be changing wiper blades.

The most honest mechanics I have found in Northern VA! I have an old Chevy 2001 and have lots of wear-and-tear issues throughout the year. These mechanics are knowledgeable, skilled, and honest, only encouraging me to fix what is necessary. They never take advantage of my business and their prices are very fair. Highly recommend!

They try to get me to pay 800 dollars for something that could be 200 dollars. For an oil change and to connect some wires they charge 150 dollars for a 14 year old car. I wouldn’t trust them even if my life depended on it.

Brought my car in for brake pads and rotors + minor electrical work. Got my car back in a short time with all issues resolved. Staff was courteous and efficient. Service was cost effective (relative to neighboring service centers) I felt my time and vehicle were valued. Worked with Tae primarily, he is very professional and communicative. Will be taking my vehicle to TJA regularly. They have earned my trust. Cannot reccomend highly enough. 10/10 experience.

Great place for odd jobs and probably maintenance jobs as well. I had picked up a trailer for my car and got weird looks from two places when asking them to help me wire my lights, but the fellas at Top Japanese Auto actually asked me questions and we figured out what needed to be done. Always communicative and helpful, and not your typical I know everything car-guy kind of vibe which I always appreciate! Go here!

I came here for a second opinion because I felt the first place I took my car to was ripping me off (they were) but Tae was friendly, helpful, and very understanding. He did a variety of diagnostic tests, gave me more information than the first place, and didnt charge me anything. He knows what hes doing and I will ONLY be taking my car here from now on.

Brought my Ford in with transmission issues earlier this week. (They’ll do work on non-Japanese vehicles too!) Tae was really helpful and very up-front with me about how they were going to work on getting my vehicle up and running. And when it turned out the problem was more minor than we’d thought, Tae was excited to give me that good news (even though it meant less that they’d make on this fix). Honest work done quickly, I was in and out same day.

I brought my car here couple times recently for check up. Each time, service was quick and workers are all very friendly. The manager made sure from the start to end all work was being done properly and came to inform me every detail. They are all hard working and honest people!

I never come here. Its very expensive and the owner is not honest. Know what you need to fix and buy your own parts and hire mechanic on craightlist. You save a lot of money. Everytime you bring your car here, its always above 300 bucks even it you dont have a problem

Professional services and very friendly people.

Brought it in for work on the wheels and brakes. When I go to pick it up they decided to tack on a bunch of unauthorized worked. I had to argue with the guy to take out a $40 air filter that I didnt ask for, $10 installation charge. The worst though was a $5 charge to fill my washer fluid and $5 for the fluid.Owner said that it was an oversight and mixup. Doubt it.
