Unique is a good thrift store for dropping off your items that you no longer need ranging from clothes, kitchen wears, electronics, books, you name it.You also buy from items donated by others at a low price.Customer service here is also wonderful.I would say keep helping.

A huge place with so much stuff in good condition!

Visited/shopped on a Sunday evening. Place was packed. The place is HUGE. They have a VARIETY of items from binders to furniture. Yes, of course they have clothing . . . Lots of lots of clothing for women, men and kids. They also have so many shoes, boots, sandals! Purses and bags. . . well yes they have those too! They are a bit organized . . However one needs to understand that the place is BUSY. The employees are busy too scrambling to have items on shelves/racks and tending to the registers. Yes, the place has a certain smell. But thats why a mask comes in handy.

I really love coming to this place to shop! I always manage to find great things for myself, and the prices are always at a reasonable rate. The store was a bit messy but that’s what I would expect from a thrift store. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Great place for gently used second-hand goods. Very popular on Friday afternoons.

I actually found some things I liked, including cute leggings. When I got home though, I noticed that the inside of the leggings I bought had a dried period blood stain. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back.It’s a huge place and they have a lot of things, but that’s because they clearly don’t filter through the items (especially the clothes).

While this is my favorite thrift store in the area, I still gave it 3 stars because of the details listed below.The store aspect itself is not bad. You can usually find some good stuff here. Their high-value area often has some cool things (in one case, an old computer from the early 1980’s in its original packaging). However, as stated by some others, the building is poorly maintained, and many aisles are rather disorganised. But overall, it’s not a bad place to shop, and I would still go here.

I really like this store. The reason I took a star off was because I noticed they have been hiking up the prices lately.

I went to check out with a pair of shoes that were $6.99 that I thought were cool. The cashier tried to explain to me that there is a red line in the shoe making the $6.99 price wrong. I buy $1000s worth of merchandise a month from Savers/Value Village/Uniques in the DMV area and this is the first I heard of this. I got home and looked at other shoes Ive bought in the past with red lines and none were over $9.99. I ask her what the real price is and she says she needs to get a pricier over to tell us. At that point, I lost interest in the shoes. If it makes it out with the price on the sticker labeled as something, you sell it at that price. Its like is amateur hour over there. Im hardpressed to go back.

Favorite thrift store in this area! I always find something good. Only thing I would recommend to operations manager is if they could put the tags through a MORE inconspicuous place on the items. Ive gotten a few pillow and clothes type items and the tag was placed in a horrible spot that left a noticable small hole. When there are seams and other unnoticeable areas where they could tag the item. Just please work on tagging items better, other than that this place is amazing! 👍🏽

Parking was available and Donation center was right in front, inside was not clean I saw a lot of stuff on the ground . Staff was out but somehow today its seems everyone was tired. We come here a lot my family bought so many great things we like to see it clean and organized please. Keep up the great work and see you soon

Huge! Very busy on the weekends but you can find great items and their clothing selection is pretty vast. Theres also some vendors there like cellphone repair

This place was disgusting. as soon as you walk through the door it’s musty smelling and the shoe department was absolutely destroyed. the whole store was a mess and gave off a covid concentration camp vibe.

A whole lot of stuff! As they say, one mans trash is another mans treasure 😉 I always go looking for one thing but come out with something else...lol Example: looking for a step trash can but left with four 23 wooden embroidery hoops for $4.99 a piece!!!! I bought them all!..... never did find the trash can 🤣

I love UNIQUE stores they have so many treasures! They have stores in different locations. A perfect place to spend a few hours consignment bargain shopping. Always satisfied when I leave this place.

If I could I would give this a ZERO!!! I signed up for the Membership Reward Program. I got an email saying receive 30% off next order. I go back to use my coupon and was told I would only get $3 off my order because the coupon was really for 30% off up to $10. I told the cashier that I would still make purchase, but wanted to talk to the manager. The manager came and I told him that the email was very deceiving and that the store should have a little more integrity than it had in the email. His response? “Well, that is how marketing works.”As much as I liked Unique when I lived in the DC area and have made trips there when visiting family in the area, I will NO longer be supporting a company that is deceiving in their marketing. I suggest you find a different place to spend your money!

Overall, I usually like this store, that is why I am giving it 3 stars. I went back there for the first time since the pandemic started. I was excited when I walked in because there were signs all over the store that said 50% off for members. I am a member. Awesome, even better than normal. My kids were either me. We really havent shopped for clothes since all this started. We went up to the register and I gave them my phone number, they found my account but no coupon. They said not everyone gets the coupon at the same time to prevent overcrowding in the store. I said, can you work with me since I am standing here with 100s of dollars worth of clothes. They side nope. People have asked all day. We left with nothing. My elementary -aged daughter had enough sense to ask, if she said that to a bunch of people, who is to say any account has any coupons? Those signs could be up in hopes people get up to the register and just decide to pay full price. It seems like they are unfairly pulling people in. I explained, it was called false advertising and it was illegal.

Unique is a fabulous store. Really good selection of everything at great prices.

You guys are out of your minds selling fake designer bags for $100+..if you set a single finger on the bag you know it’s fake so i don’t understand pricing it like it’s some real secondhand stuff..i saw a fake louis vuitton duffel bag for $300..insane lol

Increasingly management / the company is cutting corners with the customer.1. There is no AC, it’s extremely hot in the store, the workers are in this heat all day long.2. The men’s restroom is FILTHY and one urinal has been broken for months. Someone should call the health department on them. I will be adding photos shortly.3. At all other Unique stores records are $2 but at this location they changed it to $4. Maybe someone is skimming money?4. They have money for new credit card readers and a big green blowup using a fan, but no money to properly clean the restrooms.5. This store will sell ANYTHING. I once saw plastic Talenti ice cream containers on the shelf with price tags on them.6. And last but not least, in case you did not know, this chain of thrift stores is FOR PROFIT. The percentage they give to charities is minuscule compared to what they rake in. DO NOT DONATE to this FOR PROFIT chain.

The selections were great. And prices were wonderful.

A lot of things like books and shoes are extremely overpriced for a thrift store. But there are some good deals for other clothes if you look.

Many pearls among the trash.The employees are generally nice. Discounts offered under various opportunities (members, holidays, certain days). Prices are generally good.I dont believe this is A THRIFT STORE, Ive been told by employees that they operate on a profit making model.

Its massive, you will in fact always find something unique even if its the ridiculously filthy bathrooms. Those things make the gas stations look clean.

Unique is a thrift store, but It is NOT a thrift store that is a charity that is dedicated to serving our community. Essentially, when you “donate,” you are basically allowing the owners to resell your stuff and pocket ALL the money they make. They make upwards of 200% profit, and very little goes to charity or to maintaining their facility (no ac and bathrooms are gross) or to paying their workers a living wage. Yes, the treasure hunt is fun if you like rummaging around a store that is sooo filthy that employees wore masks and plastic gloves to work BEFORE COVID-19. My donations go to legitimate charities like Goodwill and Salvation Army.

I always manage to find great stuff there but the staff is rude, there are never enough registers open, and whenever i give them my phone number for the membership they say there is no account with that number, then im forced to waste time making an account ive made probably 10 times at this point because i shop there a lot and i do want to be a member so i can save. OH another thing is that the air in there is crusty as hell. there has got to be some kind of mold problem or something because if im in there for more than 45 minutes i start feeling light headed, nauseous, and like im about pass out.

Always a great place for shopping. Lots of hand sanitizer everywhere in the store for the use of customers.

Used to visit all the time, but this last visit was awful. We found a handful of things that werent broken and/or overpriced, but the only friendly person there was our cashier (a nice Asian girl) - we were ignored point blank at the front counter for 10 minutes waiting to look at some expensive items before we just walked away. Not happy.

Theres tons and tons of stuff you got to come with time add a few bucks in your pocket you give a fine whatever you need right here at UNIQUE

I absolutely LOVE this thrift store!! Bargains galore! If you want value for your dollar, shop here! AND, I noticed, they accept and refuse/ recycle donated clothing in less- than- perfect shape. Yay!!!

Amazingly vast space of clothing thats almost impossible to get through in one go. Items are definitely hit or miss, but if you search through them long enough, youll find some gems

The place was incredibly busy for a Tuesday at 4pm. the place was not properly staffed to properly deal with the amount of business. this causes long lines and customer dissatisfaction. their collection for men is also subpar. I went looking for jewelry and shoes and found neither.

Visited for the first time yesterday and I usually shop at Savers. The store is huge which is why I chose to go but it was very very crowded and overwhelming. It was also a Saturday and a sale day so maybe its not as busy during the week. Definitely plenty to look through, but I couldnt comfortably get around.

Great prices. I asked about the different colored tags and the red line through some price tags and was told by management that it was not my concern. The only reason i asked was because i was told that meant the item was half price. Just rude.

Stumbled upon this place when we had an hour to kill - needed much more time than that! Lots to look at, dont let the retail at the beginning fool you - lots of good deals inside. Great clothes in good condition and lots of named brands. Christmas was 75% off which would have been nice to know - no signage.

Because of the enormous selection, youre certain to find a great deal on something nice that suits you. You have to be willing to hunt for it though. Thats the fun part for me. My only complaint is that the line at checkout is consistently slow. I dont know if that can be fixed and for the good deals, its something I can put up with.

I almost always find high quality items at good prices when I visit. Theres a lot of junk to rummage through but it is worth the effort. It is almost a thrill. I highly suggest that you immediately wash or dry clean anything you buy. These are donations after all.

This is a great place to find a bargain. Sometimes the air is hot, but overall it’s a spot we’ll always try to thrift shop. There are also often coupons given out when you donate boxes of items, which is pretty cool.

Largest and best thrift store Ive been to and Ive been to every thrift store in the universe. It seems to have what I want/need most of the time, but it always smells funky in here. My grandma tells me its from little leprechauns that pass gas every night... I believe her.

I hate how you walk in to a junky flea market. They have no quality control and put out items that are broken, stained etc. And, they price everything way to high. Goodwill is so much better!

This location and store is huge, clean, has a great variety and selection of nice used clothes and home goods in mostly good condition. However Ive noticed the usually fair prices have gone up lately, and staff can be quite rude. Coupons are granted by the amount of clothes you donate and buy. The sale days and member discounts are pretty good too. Be prepared for the lines, its usually busy, but the hassle is usually worth it for great finds. Always fun👍

Wonderfully organized thrift store with a broad range of clothing (organized by size), household items, books, and misc. Ample parking located on Gallows Road, just outside the beltway. Bring items to donate and get a hefty discount on your days purchase. We always leave happy with several good deals!

I just love to shop at this store! The merchandize is just top rate. I always find good bargains. The last time I was there this very helpful check-out girl was working, Selma, she was very fast but efficient. Selma has such a pretty smile and that really made my day.

I was blown away when I purchased some cushions and I found a label with the day it was inspected and sanitized !! not all the other Good thrift shops go to that length to ensure the quality of their merchandise. Now I shop with confidence. Thank you Unique !

Incredibly well organized and spaced out which provides for a very relaxed and low stress shopping experience. The staff are all lovely and the prices are very reasonable. Unlike most thrift stores this branch of Unique does not have a lot of chemical fumes from cleaning overwhelming the air thanks to the open space - which is great for accessibility for people like me with allergies. Also they have ramps at the front so wheelchair access is pretty decent!

You just have to see it to believe it - a giant, well organized thrift store.The other customers can be extremely rude and do not hesitate to grab something out of your cart and the majority of the staff do not speak interest - go for the giant selection at thrift store prices, its worth it!

Usually a good time shopping here people are friendly. Selma helped me at the check out. The customers before me didnt have theyre coupon for friends and family and they were not in the savers club...I am, and I also did not receive the coupon. She gave the discount to the 2 customers in front of me, and when I asked about it she did not give the coupon to me or my friend. Not happy with my recent shopping experience here, and its because of the clear bias of Selma.

I went on a Saturday after my roommate warned me against it - should have listened. The crowds were kind of overwhelming and it smelled awful. However, the selection is massive and it was a fun thrifting experience. It almost feels like a store in another country. Go with a big chunk of time - I was there 2.5 hours and had to leave, but probably could have stayed another hour. Ive heard it can be a little quieter on weeknights so thats when im going back next.
