Lively with music, stopped here to buy some cables.
Don’t bother, you could kill someone in this store and the employees wouldn’t even look twice. what was once a place of community, is now a soulless pit.I mean look, if you want some guy to lazily check their website on their store computer when you ask some questions by all means. This is your place. But don’t think you’re going to have any kind of conversation, less these gentlemen have to look away from their magazines.
This store is always a joy to visit, the one in Alexandria is ok at times, but this store really has a good vibe and let you try anything, especially when you show them you know your stuff.but really always leaving with a smile on my face.
Stood around for a solid 30 mins trying to get someone to help. Had enough time to look up the questions I had online. Still couldn’t get any help. First thing I heard from an employee was to have a good one as I walked out the door. Same guy that I heard bark at another customer because he was too busy to help. Thanks for nothing.
Ordered a guitar, came broken. No problemOrdered it again, came broken and late. No problem.Ordered a 3rd time, the guitar never came, no one called me to tell me anything, management was aware but didnt offer anything to make up for it. I had to ask.. Nothing. Will not do business with Guitar Center again. Amazon from now on.On the bright side everyone was polite.
Always helpful and happy to work with us on financing and getting the best price. Oriented more toward rock and pop instruments and DJ gear. Little coverage of band and orchestral instruments.
I ordered a used tube amp from this store. Not only was it well packed, but they also removed and labeled the tubes separately before shipping. Excellent attention to detail and customer service.
Bought a Squier PJ Bass pack for my son. Before buying it I asked if they would adjust the bass if needed after unpacking it. I asked TWICE, both on the phone before I bought the bass and on site the day I bought it. The bass needed adjustments. Accordingly, I brought it back to the store only to be told that they wouldnt do the adjustments and that I should do them myself at home watching YouTube videos or pay an extra $50. This is NOT how you should treat customers and it is certainly not how you keep them.
Been after a couple of years and they still have delicious food and excellent costumer service!!!
Great storé. Great prices.
Kept my guitar for a week to repair, told me it was fixed but they hadnt even looked at the right issue. Idk if its the management or the repair team there but they clearly dont know what theyre doing.
This store has always had exactly the level of customer service I prefer. I am a musical novice, and I often find the customer service in music stores intimidating and judgmental. I often want to be left alone to browse and experiment. The staff at this Guitar Center has always allowed me to feel comfortable doing that, and then has been very helpful when I do have questions and need help. They also have consistently done a good job of stringing various odd string instruments I own.
Great people. Wonderful products. Low prices. Very good experience. Highly recommended
Brawner was great!
Due to the virus, guitar center is still doing pretty good I was able to get answers to all my questions promptly and although there was a unit that was cheaper than the one I would suggested as the bargain it was $50 more than what I was shown so I got to give them a break on that. But I did pick up a boss pocket GT multi effects processor and recorder. Had terrific service and found everything I needed.
Acquiring an instrument online might be Cheaper but I get a kick out of going into guitar centre pulling almost any kind of guitar off the wall plugging it into almost any kind of amplifier and having a little fun and these guys Just stand there tapping their foot suggesting they like my playing better than my neighbours do!
I once bought something from here and accidentally left it in the store. The next day, I realized I left it there, but had the receipt. I called the store, explained it, and the manager said, come get it, no problem. Good people.
Emergency...... Big LGTB show at Mi Pueblo Restaurant and the audio mixer just die. We stop by to get a new mixer very fast service base on the emergency fast and clean transaction and support. Also we got some disco LED lights and cables thank you for the help guys
The stor is great but the repair service didnt work for me. They kept my guitar for 9 months and never fix it for me, even though I had purchased the insurance offered to me by then.
I walked in to this store well researched and prepared to make a specific digital piano purchase. There were many men working. Several of which passed by me multiple times and never once spoke nor even said hello. Even as I was exiting the store no one spoke to me.I am unsure if this location dislikes serving customers or if perhaps women are viewed as a lesser quality of customer therefore I was not assisted?I will not be returning to this location. I milled around a bit in hopes that the men that passed me by would see that I was an interested customer. However, I still was not approached.Again, I do not anticipate returning to this location. No sales pitch was needed in my case. I just wanted to purchase the item I entered for.
Great customer service. Friendly staff. Huge selection.
Jesse at the Fairfax store did an excellent set up on a problematic guitar that now plays and sounds excellent! Thank you Jesse!
Great place with good deal on a bunch of different types of instruments for different type of musicians
Great knowledge of their products and good customer service.
Very impressed with this store, courteous and knowledgeable staff
Great people and the store is laid out nice. Friendly people and very knowledgeable
Not to many guitar pedals here but staff was helpful and polite.
Really nice staff
Neighborhood classic! Knowledgeable staff and friendly service.
I found the staff to be helpful, positive, and knowledgeable. However, Ive had consistent experience with this location not taking care of their guitars. Its a free-for-all, and the guitars are in rough shape, even the higher end premium guitars. No one should pay $2000 for an American Tele that is chipped, dinged and has flat strings.
Love to visit this place. They make sure customers are satisfied till they find the right product. Love to visit the store for any music needs
Great staff and selection. Cheap clearance drumsticks too
Underwhelming in comparison to Sam Ash.
It was my first time at Guitar Center and I felt welcome. I didnt have any problem with the employees and they provided me with all the equipment I wanted. I wasnt judged for being a beginner. I would come back.
Very good
Cool spot for buying a guitar
Thanks to one special professional who manages this fine guitar establishment, this particular Guitar Center in 7 Corners (Fairfax, VA/Arlington, VA borders.
Had a great experience buying an acoustic guitar here. I came from out of town (no large music stores where Im from). I cant really rate the whole staff, but Ben was awesome. He really knew his stuff and didnt hover or pester while we decided, but he was there when we had questions. Price was right, selection was great. I highly recommend this guitar center if youre in the market for an acoustic guitar.
Wow thats a nice place I liked it
Guitar center is guitar center. The difference is always the people working there. I went in to see if there wasnt some poor decisions to be made during Guitar-a-thon. There were but my money conscious side decided I didnt need another guitar. The people there were amazing and I never leave thinking Ill never come back like other Guitar Centers in the area.
This is a solid music store. They know their stuff. Thank you for helping me pick out an awesome keyboard for my daughters Xmas present. Very happy customer
Fantastic selection of drinks, guitars, and pianos that you can try before making your purchase. Also had a large selection of accessories like guitar picks, straps, amps, and everyone youd need to ensure that your are able to practice at home or perform. Different music items have separate sections which sadly lack dedicated employees which limits the ability of novices to discover the right equipment. That being said the employees are helpful and while a little pushy about selling the store warranty they dont detract from the experience. Id recommend guitar center to anyone looking for musical instruments are accessories.
Previously I wrote a review about the Guitar Center in Fairfax, Virginia...I have them a 1 star rating because 0 stars was not an option. However, the store in Falls Church, Va is much much better. Specifically Matt. I told this young man about my experience at the Fairfax location, and he immediately validated my concerns. He was kind, made eye contact, even added personality to my visit. Without Matts wonderful and accommodating service, I would never shop at Guitar Center again. Thanks to him, I will go to the Falls Church location from now on as long as he is working there! Huge asset!
Have the best price. If they dont they will match any better price.
Great friendly staff!
Went here to help my brother pick a guitar for my nieces 18th b-day. The staff member who helped us here was great! He even sat in and jammed with us to help us decide on a guitar we liked. We had a great time and my niece got an awesome new acoustic!
Biggest and only guitar store in the area. Most of the staff are helpful with a large variety of guitars and accessories. Good location with free parking.
Second time coming here. Ordered a Gretsch g5220 and picked it up with absolutely zero issues and incredible service
One star is too much for this company. They sold me a hard to find item over the phone. Told me it would arrive to my home in a couple days. I never received email confirmation or tracking, so I called back a few days later. Turns out they sold the item to someone else after I bought it. I will not be giving Guitar Center another cent of my money.
Great if you want a good cheaper guitar. Good service. Lacks a local business feel
Bought a keyboard piano. Super helpful staff that help you find what you need and arent super pushy salesman. I was helped find what I need by a very courteous and friendly staff.
Had an ok selection. No violins.
Cool stuff but this branch is so busy with guitar fixes and the wait to have a simple restrung guitar is 2 days. That sucks. Plus I had to call them to know if it was ready and not vice versus.Kinda upset.
Great place for any and every musician. Friendly, helpful staff, reasonable prices.Lots of great instruments to play.I love this place almost as much as I enjoy listening to and playing music.
I wanted to take a chance to say thank you to Eric, the guitar tech, for excellent service on a repair I just picked up.
They have the best in recording and any studio equipment needs. Setting up a new studio for my friend and Ill be shopping again soonThanks
Everything was fine but Cedric who assisted me was really rude. He was making noise and making me feel that i wasnt welcome on the store. He even threw one of the items in front of the guitar that i was buying..
The best customer service
They had what I needed in stock. The sales associates were efficient and friendly. Good experience.
Good service
Greatest of the great in customer service! Lots of wonderful finds in stock and ready to go.
I go there pretty regularly and they are helpful and courteous. I brought my new mandolin for repair, the tech was knowledgeable. He told me the part was defective and although it was past the 4 week warranty I shipped it back for a new one free of charge. And no they are not paying me for this review.
Great place to go in with my son to try out and play with different instruments. The staff is very nice and helpful. They now offer lessons too!
Wonderful Experience at this Guitar Center. They were very helpful and supportive to my needs. 10/10 would do again!
Good for a guitar center, good choices. The person that was helping me was kinda speaking out of his *** with marketing lingo. As long as you know what youre going there for and know what the people are trying to sell you, this place has the best selection of good guitars.
Best place for guitar gear in Arlington! Staff is friendly and helpful. This location in particular really seems to have their act together.
Great service, great prices, helpful staff, nice setup, massive selection. This place is hands down the best place to get any sort of musical instrument. The selling system is also good but only if you really want to get something off your hands as the price they give you for your gear can sometimes be very low but overall it is fine. I love this place.
So many musical instruments.Nice store rep let us try a couple of fine Taylor guitars.
Great return policy. Even for online used guitar purchases. I wont hesitate to buy there again.
Friendly, helpful staff. They prefer to let customers browse without bother instead of pestering. Thats appreciated.
My favorite place only. Assistant take. Time to help
Stuff kinda very helpful and understanding in general like everytime
Good, but they need more Classical Guitars and professional accessories.
You can find all your musical instruments, tutorials and band openings at this amazing place. The staff is friendly and will get out of their way to assist you. It is worth the visit.
Best guitar center Ive ever been too! The drums were actually set up logically and they had the k sweets that came out within the past week!
One of my favorite places to pick up musical instruments and accessories!
Guitar center used to be one of my favorite stores to go to. But now? No loudroom, and the selection of amps is pretty terrible. All generic stuff. Staff is fine, just disappointed in the direction of the store in general.
If you run on their Sales associate name ‘SHANE OR SHANED ‘ YOUR SCREWED !!! I call several Guitar Center to ask for quote for my gear that I liked to trade-in and all of them are consistent of the price quote that they gave me except for this Dude.he told me 50% less for all the quote I got for other branches. I told him I called several branches already and they quoted me for this value and he said NO and my gear is only value for this number vs the number on the 3 associate that I talked before! Be aware on this name and I’m just trying to help future customers that don’t have much knowledge about their gears. This type of employee I called FLY by Night . bad for the business, waste of money and just a low grade hired you fired you next day type of employee!
This guitar center sucks plan and simple customer service does not exist.
AMAZING store! Went there for my first time expecting to see a few keyboards, I was wrong! They have a fantastic variety of synthesizers and keyboards, pianos, controllers. Everything you could imagine! Great Place, you really have to check it out for yourself.
Amazing store. You are likely to find anything and everything about music making here
I had another guitar on hold at another guitar store for my daughter, but I thought we should check what else was out there for the spec she was looking for. I called the Falls Church Guitar Store, and Patrick quickly listed guitars that they had in stock that he thought she might like. When we were at the store, I told Patrick about the one I had on hold for $1,100, and this Schetcher here was for $759. While my daughter was checking out the guitars, Patrick came back and said he check into the one I had on hold and said it was an excellent quality guitar that used ebony and walnut wood. He advised me to go back and get that one. Patrick shared a wealth of knowledge with us, and I will definitely be going back to his store in the future.
Great place for music lover, manager is very friendly and knowledgeable, Ben is the best he had been giving me great advices over the year, we call him Yoda sine of electric guitars.
Love the staff and veriiaty music production tools
The guys that work here are actually into the guitar and know their stuff. They have a really great variety and are not stingy about letting you try them out. The climate controlled acoustic guitar section is amazing. Their selection of mandolins is pretty worthless, but then again they are not Mandolin Center. Good selection of ukes. I understand the complaints about chains running smaller shops out of business, but thats politics. Rating the store, its pretty darned good.
When this store opened in the early 2000s I LITERALLY was one of the first people through the door. The staff was great & I knew all of them. Over the years Ive spent a Kings Ransom in that store....but they changed. The have a HUGE turnover of staff & they have the rancid corporate vibe. I took a $325 Drybell Vibe Machine pedal into this store to sell to them. Used this pedal sells for $220-$230 on EBAY & Reverb. Guitar Center offered me $100. I guess I look stupid. Because of the creepy vibe I only use to buy strings from this store. Now I no longer do that, I buy my strings at The Music & Arts Store a few blocks from my home. All my major musical purchases for the last 7 years have been made through Sweetwater Music. Guitar Center is just hard to deal with. I heard they were in financial trouble. Frankly I hope they close down. The vibe, the arrogance, the used gear policy, all of it stinks. Frankly they dont even deserve 1 star....
One of the nicest Guitar Centers. The employees were incredibly helpful and courteous, the gear was very well maintained and accessible.
Great for beginning musicians. Awesome acoustic guitar room and friendly staff.
Average or below second hand stuff. Not a lot of guitar and bass higher end stuff. Lots of entry level
Great staff. Nice service. Staff helped me find exactly what I needed.
Great selection of instruments, and likely the most judgement free guitar center Ive been to. Everythings easy to find, and the staff is knowledgeable.
Always a pleasure to shop there, if the staff is busy it is worth the wait.
I was able to find what I needed and the personal was friendly, and knowledgeable. When I am in need of another music item, I will return.
Not quite the neighborhood mom & pop, but better than a big box store for sure. Ive been appalled at times by the lack of knowledge by someone or other on the floor, but impressed at other times. Usually pretty pleasant about it, regardless. Ive hung around a lot of music stores over the years, and wherever you go, there is a certain amount of attitude. Its never a perfect retail experience; the people who work there are mostly musicians! What do you expect? Reasonable selection, decent prices, you can usually find someone knowledgeable enough, and they let you do whatever you want with the stuff on the floor.
Adam made everything perfect during our guitar purchase. If you are buying a guitar Id recommend him. Thanks Adam!
Got some great advice for guitar care from their expert. Between the selection and good sales for Christmas and the knowledgeable staff, I will probably be a repeat customer here.
The best musical instruments store chain! Wide range of acoustic and electric guitars, a lot of accessories.
The staff was very helpful in purchasing a guitar as a gift. I know very little about guitars, but they have a good return policy just in case!
Ive never had a problem at this (or any other) Guitar Center. Ive bee to this one and the one close to Baltimore and the both have been great. I think they cater to the rocker type but they have a LOT of guitars and their prices are fair. Also, someone mentioned Musicians Friend...they are a wholly owned subsidiary of guitar center so its the same company.
