Let your inner nerd come out by visiting Comic Junction- cuz boy did mine!Comics upon comics upon comics. This is what you see once you find and walk into the store. You have to go inside and up a set of stairs, then down the hall to Comic Junction’s suite. It’s very low grade and nothing at all fabulous so it’s easy to feel like you’re in the wrong place.But what Comic Junction lacks in visual appeal it makes up for in the many different comics and knick knacks it sells, and the super sweet owner. He is totally a big comic nerd and it was awesome. I had so much fun looking through everything and chatting with him about some different issues and hero’s and such.He really lights up when you start talking comics- you can just see how much he loves everything comics and his passion and enthusiasm for what he does. He’s in the right business, that’s for sure. And definitely check out the extremely special edition comics he keeps behind the register- sooo uber cool. Like I said, my inner nerd really showed out here.One last thing he mentioned is that Comic Junction does no kind of advertising— the customer base is all by word-of-mouth, so consider me spreading the word to go support him!! For the love of comics!

Kip runs this comic store on his own. Great hidden gem and he has everything you can possibly want. I had a great chat with him and he tells me that this is his joy. He is very passionate and knowledgeable. A lot of stuff to look at. Everytime I come in I always feel like I’m looking at new things.

You have to climb a set of older stairs to get to the store and you might question the location. While the store isnt glamorous, it has wide selection of comics and a fair amount of collectables. Bring cash because you get a discount. The owner will charge an up charge on credit cards due to fees he has to pay. Friendly service.

Legitimately a real Comic shop not a gaming shop with some comics, cool collectables, manga, actual comics and Graphic novels. The staff was super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They offered special orders for anything they didnt have. The establishment is well lit and not crowded. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a real Comic store that deals in classic and newer books. Ill definitely be back when Im in town. 👍🏼

The location might not seem that appealing or ideal but this comic book store has been in Fargo for over 30 years and they still have a good selection of comic books, graphic novels and even have some Japanese snacks in stock, theres something for everybody at this place.

Great place. Friendly owner and employee. Started going there when covid hit to get back into comics. Cool old school feel. Reminiscent of the 90s shops I grew up around. Informative and resourceful. Definitely recommend to friends. Also he keeps the shop as clean as possible from what Ive observed.

The staff was well attuned to the wants and needs of each individual and group, which is perfect for a store with such a diverse patronage. Introverts were left to browse after a polite offer to assist where needed. People that were new to the store were assisted to the nth degree. Adults and children were treated with respect. Everyone I wintessed walk in the door was treated like a VIP...This is a comic store that looks and feels like its been stuck in a time loop since 1997 in the BEST WAY possible. I visited once half a decade ago on a trip, then again this week. Its like they had the perfect Comic Book Store vehicle in place then and fine-tuned the vehicle ever since..One piece at a time!

This was my first experience in a store of this genre and I think it was one of the absolute best places to experience what a store like this should be! A friend (R.I.P.) brought me here with another friend (R.I.P.) and it was impressive to say the least with everything you would want and expect plus more! I really loved and was surprised by the collection of used books for sale as well at the time and actually spent most of my time there surprisingly! It was reasonably priced for poor kids like we were and I hope to get back here soon since its been around 10 years since I visited since I used to live a couple blocks away then. Definitely going to bring friends when I do to pass on the good vibes that I was grateful to receive once upon a time. Vast otaku selections and fun stuff... could spend hours here but I dont want to be too creepy lol!

This is what a comic book shop should be. Lots of cool things to look at and tons of books. Owner is a super nice guy.

The store was kind of cramped with merchandise but was empty of customers so it wasnt really a big deal. The owner was willing to make me a deal because of the amount of items I bought and the series I was after is not sought after much. Lots of shelves and boxes to look through.

Been going here with my girlfriend for over 3 years now - owner is very personable, and pulls comics for those who signup for it, always asking if they want only one cover art or both, which some stores dont do. Also doesnt charge for sleeves or boards when buying comics.Overall depth of comics is impressive with gems even big collectors will enjoy.

This store is exactly like every comic store I visited in the mid 90s. This sounds like a back-handed compliment, but I mean it as high praise. The facilities are a bit threadbare, but the stock is correctly priced (not marked up), and the staff is very friendly to newbies and old-salts. My young daughters have been very welcomed by the staff, and feel like a part of a larger community when they go there.

This is an amazing comic/manga book store. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff and lots of material available. Great atmosphere. Really love this place and would highly recommend!

Been going to Comic Junction in all its incarnations since the mid 80s! Still go there at age 53! It is always great!

One of the best shops Ive found in my travels. Great selection of new comics from practically every publisher putting out comics today, along with a vast and expansive selection of back issues, expertly organized by title. There is also an impressive amount of trades, as well as collectibles and other miscellaneous comic book related items. Highly recommend. I will definitely be back to this store again in the future!

Best stop for comics in F-M area. Kip is a awesome guy with tons of knowledge!! From the major publishers to the cool or unknown indy comics, if they dont got it, they probably can find it!!

Store is never open on time. Walked over in rain today. 11:15 - still not open. Hours posted say 10:00am - 8:00pm.This is not an isolated incident. Basically never open on time. Frustrating, when I have money to spend at your store.This reputation is unfortunately spreading.

Crowded and uninviting aisles under a harsh fluorescent lighting greet you as you enter this inconveniently located comics shop in the upstairs of a strip mall. Id make a comment about the service, but the staff do their best to ignore you, even when you come in with a small group of people who are clearly struggling to find the thing they came in for.

The tour was amazing! So much history & lifetimes in there. Theres something for everyone. Cant wait to return again & again!

Best comic store in fargo. Nice back issue stock of many publisher, few wall books, biggest manga selection Ive ever seen. Also stocks board games, Figures, statues and various other collectables.

The Comic Junction is a great place with a huge selection of all types of comic books, graphic novels, paperbacks, etc, and the owner Kip is a great guy who knows his customers. Youre welcomed like family whenever you go there.

Ever since i moved here over 20 years ago, Comic Junction has always had a great selection of old and new comics, figures, videos, and gaming supplies, and theres ALWAYS something new to explore. Friendliest staff in the world, this place is a treasure!

If youre looking for comics and collectibles, look no further. The selection is fantastic. If youre searching for back issue comics to fill in gaps or start up on a prior series, they have a huge selection with fair prices.

This is the only comic book store in the area where I have found the Sonic the Hedgehog comics, for that it deserves five stars.

They have a great selection of older comics. If I cant find it at paradox this place normally has it. Plus ive never had a hard time touching the books not sure what other person commenting is talking about. Gone there a hundred times never been told not to touch books.

I dont think this place gets as much love as it should. A really nice selection of books, (A larger manga/anime section than Paradox, if youre into that). The guy there is pretty nice and will work with you if you give him legit business! Definitely worth your time!

Stopped by out of curiosity and was nicely surprised. Its somewhat disorganized and the building smells a little weird, but they have a good selection of stuff.

Great place for used Sci-Fi books. The graphic novels are really great and there is a nice selection of stuff for my 4 year old daughter especially the Hello Kitty comics.

Guy at cash register refused to look in the back for comics because he was feeling flustered because he was in class all day. Also refused to get me and bag and board for my comics because he didnt want to look in the back for them so he just wrote me a IOU. No joke he wrote me a friggen IOU for sleeves and boards for when returned. He wasnt really helpful at all. Was mean about it too. Wasnt friendly just took my money and told me to come sometime. He was very lazy.

Prices here are fair, and there is a great discounted Manga section.

Comic Junction... what a fantastic little niche store to have found. Ive lived in Fargo for almost 20 years and was unaware of them initially. While they dont do this anymore, they used to rent Anime which was great as selections at normal video stores were horrible or non-existent.Over the years things have changed, mostly in that they now only sell Anime vs. renting, but the Kip (the owner) does a wonderful job of keeping things in stock. Hes also very accommodating when it comes to special orders or trying to order in back issues of comics or graphic novels.Currently, the stock that I remember is DC, Marvel, Dark Horse and Image comics. Several Graphic Novels (Manga) are on hand with new volumes coming in and back issues being ordered. Various collectible figures, toys or other display pieces (as an example, Gargoyle themed sconces come to mind). Many used books are in stock, older titles; sadly there isnt much variety in these mostly because not many people realize these are available.Older comics are available as well; theres a great selection of back issues, some collectible. There are some old VHS tapes available too, as well as some clothing (shirts and hoodies mostly, some hats have been in as well).They are also looking to get into a few different collectible games. One themed on Star Wars miniatures if I recall correctly, and an anime based card game - one that crosses series rather than being for one specific series.All in all, I would say Comic Junction is a great store, one that more people should visit. They provide an alternative location to pick up mainstream comics as well as providing several other times that (last I knew of) other stores in town do not provide.

Place is a joke. The lady working said no one was allowed to touch the comics because they are collectors items that they are selling for $2. Guess shes not going to make her $2 from us today.
