This store has a wide array of oils and vinegars to try. It would be nice if they offered some suggestions of what to do with the oils and vinegars besides just using them for dipping bread. If you havent ever tried ages or flavored vinegars it’s really worth checking out. I was here a while ago and they had a very good cheese and meat selection but on this new visit they had two cheese options so it was disappointing.

So fun to sample the oils and vinegars. A splash of either or both transform my home cooking to gourmet. Theyve moved from downtown Fargo. A little difficult to find. Off 32nd Ave in the strip mall. AND the service is personal with great recommendations for flavor mixing.

I was introduced to this unique store that specializes in balsamic vinegars and flavor infused olive oils. I LOVE this little store. You get to try before you buy and they have an amazing collection. I shop in there every two weeks when I come into Fargo. The young man who works there is a wonderful help and it is, by far, my favorite food place, as I love to cook. I totally recommend shopping in there.

After checking store hours (listed as 10:30 AM-6:00 PM) online today, July 24, I arrived at the store around noon to find a sign on the door indicating that the store was closed. The sign provided a phone number to call for service, which I did only to receive a voice mail requesting a message be left. VERY POOR BUSINESS MODEL!! If the owner and/or employee can not or does not want to work on a particular day that the store is scheduled to be open, at the very least that information should be posted online along with a phone recording indicating the same, should a customer call. This approach would demonstrate consideration for the customer and preclude the frustrating scenario described above. The one * is generous given what little effort is required to avoid having customers arrive at the store during scheduled hours to find locked doors.

I go there for the flavored vinegar. Its actually cheaper than some other stores carrying the same type of product. I had bought some thing the salesperson forgot to put in the bag and called to let them know. No return phone call but when I went back in, they gave me what I was missing.

Wow! What a wonderful addition to Fargos food scene.I met the owner Julie this morning, she is a fantastic lady and very passionate about her business. All you have to do is walk in the door and your greeted with a beautiful store and amazing products! The whole place is Eye Candy.I cant do justice to the Off The Chain selections of olive oils, and vinegars. If your a hard core foodie like me or just starting your journey this is a Must Go To store. The attention to detail, I cant describe you have to see it for yourself.Just the care in which the cheeses are wrapped is testimony to the care, passion and the attention to the details of the owners. The MAJOR financial investment in the Italian pots alone that hold the oils and vinegars is staggering!Do Not be fooled by what you think Balsamic Vinegar is. Its not that garbage at the local stores. They have the Real deal stuff. What absolutely blew me away is, not just the unparalleled quality, but the prices! Its beyond a bargain its a steal. Also Real Deal cheeses again not the junk you by at the store. These are true artisan products from around the world handmade by people doing them for generations. If you want your food to taste like a pro invest in the products that make them taste that way. Also dont be fooled by the size of the store. This is the way its done from where my parents are from Europe. The amount of time, travel, and money it takes to have a shop like this is Huge. Albeit its fun tasting new oils, cheese, and vinegars, you also have to know what the H&#@ your doing to be able the stock these kinds of products.Thank you so much Julie, it was an honor and privilege to have met you. And see the work of of someone passionate and dedicated to quality. You really raised the bar in Fargos food sceneIll be back very soon.JamieOh ps if you really want look like you know your way around the Foodie worldDo not pronounce Gouda Goo-DaIn the Netherlands its GAU-Da
