Asked guy at counter cost to fill 1CCF tank with helium. Without looking up anything said, $100. Yes, $100!!! Checked a few other places and got price $20 to $30. Obviously guy priced at, I dont want your business. price. We will never go back for any of our gas needs.
Not sure why there are any bad reviews of this place. Everyone is very professional. The guys at the counter helped me upgrade to larger tanks when I was refilling my small tanks often. I’ve never spent more than 5 minutes unloading, paying, and loading tanks. Fair prices as far as I know.Experience level: I refill/exchange my oxygen/acetylene tanks a few times a year.
My son moved back here from the West coast and was busy so he asked me to take his oxygen tank here to exchange it. I explained to them that this is for my son and I am really unfamiliar with the process and pricing. The guys were all very nice, but after my son saw the invoice and pricing ($47.37 plus $10.42 Hazmat fee for 249CF tank) he said that was the highest he has ever seen anywhere in the US. To give you perspective on this, he has lived in North Carolina, New Jersey, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, and now North Dakota. After he told me that I decided to call around and check a few other places. Airgas was $29.50 and A-OX Welding Supply was $31.00 - both said they also had a small hazmat fee. I would NOT recommend Praxair at all - unless you like paying more and getting screwed.
The store had a sign that said 2 customers only went inside & failed to see a second customer the guy behind the counter yelled wait outside really rude like manner plus couldnt believe the high prices will never go there again
Helpful employees with a decent selection of welding and cutting accessories and machines
Wow
