I own a small seasonal business with 20-40 employees, depending on the season. Nothing about our business is technology-based, so we are not tech-savvy people. Historically, weve gotten away with 3-5 workstations, a few printers, and a VoIP phone system. A bookkeeper working remotely and an occasional hard drive failure were the extent of our technology needs. Although it was becoming clearer that we couldnt cut corners the way we did a decade ago, with shared passwords, generic workstation logins, and electronic files accessible to anyone with the patience to dig deep enough. More and more, double authentication security measures were limiting who could log into critical accounts with a shared password, and how a few key people were really bottlenecks to our processes. We knew we needed to change, but didnt know how. Then COVID hit. And we had to pivot to working remotely, sharing files on the cloud with greater restrictions (and greater access), setting up a remote office, and getting our phones to ring at the right location. Redline Networks was instrumental in this major pivot.While we have had local service providers in the past (likely the ones who recommended generic logins, and other shortcuts), and Redline Networks was very clear The client will get what the client wants; it is up to us (Redline and local providers) to figure out how to make it work! This changed the tone of every conversation from there on. I felt I had a trusted partner who heard my needs and would advocate to find ways to implement them, versus being at the mercy of other tech support who seemed to have an our way or the highway mindset. I was constantly giving in to half measures because it was faster or easier for the local provider but not a scalable long term solution. Redline put an end to those passive/aggressive conversations.We have our share of competitors, and I observed that none were any more technologically advanced, and I suspected we could have some minor leg up on the competition if we could use technology to our advantage. Remote workers helped save many costs and we found many of our apps could be run on cloud servers reducing the risks of a local machine failure and making remote support more accessible for the tech team.I feel Redline is a valued partner not just in cloud storage, networking, and VoIP, but in their understanding of how our small seasonal business can operate very efficiently, while us not-so-tech-savvy people do what we do best.I suspect a lot of small businesses are in the same boat; theyre very good at what they they do, but not good at the technology side of the business. Even having an internal IT person who may be a Jack of All Trades (and master of none) has many shortcomings. Redline Networks is both focused on the customers needs...and focused on results. As such, Im very happy to recommend them for any small business trying to adapt to ever-changing technology needs!
