Awesome customer service and top notch installation. They installed my remote starter and walked me through the features. If I had the ability to give them more stars I would.

After having sound put in the SUV the car continued to cut off while driving. Once during a merge onto the freeway and another while accelerating to merge onto 8 mile. Both situations were very deadly and dangerous. We had the car towed to ‘mickey Shorr they claimed they would not find another wrong. The very next morning same thing happened except this time the car cut off only blocks from the house and it was in a less deadly situation. This time we took it to another shop where they repaired the car. They stated that the previous shop ran wires to the amp and not the battery etc. we tried to get Mickey shorr to pay for the repair they refused. We intend on sueing. Do not trust them poor service, poor work, you will have to pay someone else to fix their work

I wouldn’t suggest going to this Mickey shore for 2 reasons they talk to you like you don’t know what kind of service you asked for and I have been to this location 3 time for a service that I paid for but was never fixed, I paid to have my defroster function added to my remote but they seen the wire broken on my defroster and told me that that my defroster wasn’t working, I turned the defroster on this past week to see if it actually work and it does, I asked the owner to show me on the remote how to use that feature on my remote he was unable to, I did that just to see if he was going to be honest,And he failed to do so. I have been to this location 3 times for the same problem and still no help I was charged for the service, when I go to the function on my viper remote it says feature not active. I’m disappointed in this store service and lack of product knowledge you can find better else where

Had a remote start installed by their competitor and was a total disaster. Installed a cheaper unit than the Viper we wanted and we only received 1 FOB. We had an extra key programmed at the dealer and needed the remote start reprogrammed. Other place wanted $80. Bobby and his crew did it less than $20!!! Never go to the place on 7 mile in Redford. Make the trip to Grand River. You might have to wait a few days to get an install date but well worth it. Hats off to their good and honest service.

Imagine paying to have a stereo and speakers to be installed and having great sound... now imagine that being done without having the parts pulled out without being put back... thats what Im dealing with. I had to ask the man (Randy) to have his guy come and put the panel back in for the my passenger door handle... but, I get home to find the port where I plug in my phone charger is hanging out. I wasnt going to be petty about it but there are two problems...1. It now wont go back into and look in its spot2. I PAID TOO MUCH MONEY TO GET MY VEHICLE BACK IN WORSE CONDITION.As small as a thing as it is, it is highly disrespectful to treat anyone, let alone your paying customers like this. Put the vehicles back together when youre done.

I have been a long time customer with Mickey Shore and it’s nice to know that customer service is #1 with them. They go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. When I came in the last time to purchase a starter for my other car the representative explained Everything in great detail upfront. There were no hidden charges and the work was done in a timely manner. This is my go-to for all my stereo and remote start needs!!

Hard to understand ADVERTISING. There is a advertisement for a radio & backup came for $199 and automatic start for $99. I went check it out, and the store manager named RANDY was there. Heres what he tells me.1. Regular labor is different than extensive labor. This means any adapters, or kits for anything is a extensive labor. This means your $300 plus tax, goes to $600 to $700 with extensive labor. Crazy part was that RANDY couldnt fully explain what is defined as extensive labor.2. If you bring your own radio or speakers, we charge you more. RANDY said this after not explaining the labor subject good. Every aftermarket radio needs a kit to fit in the dash right? Thats considered extensive labor.👎🏾👎🏾Updated: District manager contacted me after I expressed my concerns. He explained installing items with no extra is labor included, but if other items and longer labor is needed in connection with the purchase, thats how the price rises. He also worked with Store manager Randy to work a deal out for me with a radio and back camera. Good customer service here. Also, Im a 4 time repeat customer👍🏾

Brought my 2017 Pacifica in to get a remote starter put in. Randy calls me up an hour later and tells me there already is one built in (we asked the dealership three times if it had one and they said it didn’t ). I really appreciate the honesty. Easily could have installed the one we agreed on and I wouldn’t have known the difference. Definitely would recommend them based on my experience

Good price, but they need to inform the sales people on what theyre selling. I had to explain to my salesman what I needed and inform him I did not need the extra parts he was trying to sell me. Nor did he know the specifations on the product I was buying. But all in all they were friendly and had a good price for what I was looking at. Bought a sub, installed it and am happy 😄 with my purchase.

Staff was really friendly but that’s about it i had subs installed on my birthday in a 2019 Cadillac Escalade not only did my subs wire come lose the first day they always sound wavey ever since and they broke 2 of my side panels in my car ($500 a piece) The worker there told me they would order new ones (they did not!) The manager informed me that they would be a little bit on delay because of the GM shut down back in September I have yet to receive a call and I have called every time and they have BS me every time not only did I pay too much for cheap subs I am 1000 lost because of my side panels and my lease is going back and I have to pay that be careful of this place they are scammers!

Great service, were honest about the cost and time needed and did a great job to make sure that everything would be completed properly. Now my off-road spotlights actually light up and they even used my switch. Nate was easy to work with and professional.

Jason and Alex took excellent care of my vehicle. Took the car in for a minor fix after they installed my backup camera and new navigation system. (More of a special request because I wanted my usb connection to be routed through my glove box) I would highly recommend their service since they were so willing to let me come right back in to quickly fix the problem. It’s obvious they want their work to be top quality!

Did a Great job installed on my radio

Got a new head unit and speakers from them. The first time they installed it one of the rear speakers werent hooked up, and they broke one of the door locks so it wouldnt work. The second time after being the first one in for the morning (they dont take appointments, and watching two people pass me in queue to get their car fixed because they knew people there (and my truck issue was under warranty, so they werent making money off of me) I left to have them call me when it was done. Called back at 5 PM and they told me it wasnt even in the shop yet. Barely got it in before they closed for the day, after what should have been the first vehicle in the shop. Door still isnt really fixed, but I just gave up.TLDR: Please save yourself some time and money and get better quality work at a different place (like Impact Audio or Best Buy).

After purchasing speakers for my dads boat from the assistant manager Justin, we never have to compete with sound ever again! He gave us a great deal, answered all of our questions and even came to US to do the install! I will never go anywhere else for any of my audio, alarm or remote start needs ever again.

These guys did a great job. They were super booked and still got my install completed. I really appreciate that. Only error is that they only gave me 15 minute notice to come pick up my vehicle before they closed. Since I had to Uber, this was a little tricky. I hope to use them again and change my rating to a 5.

BIG mistake going here dont know how they got so many 5 stars go to corporate and they have more 1 stars than 5 ABC Warehouse owns them there the one paying Mickeys bills so the doors stay open so go to Abc or somewhere else youll be glad you did bought a new bike in February not yet 3 months old put 400 miles on it took it here to get a audio upgrade after leaving the shop parts falling off the bike on my way home Randy the manager said I got my bike back the same way l bought it in l didnt have nothing falling off my bike until they tore it apart and put it back together so your good deal may cost you more when its done so dont shop the Mickey Mouse Club youll be sorry🔇

I had a remote door lock that stopped working and took it in to have it looked at. They looked at it right away and within 1/2 hour had it repaired. Everyone was very pleasant and I enjoyed the experience. The charge was reasonable and the work excellent.

Alex and the rest of the staff were extremely polite and helpful. They squeezed me in to a very busy day because my schedule is difficult to get around, and they made it work. They got it all done without any further purchases that other stores tried to get me to buy. I went for a speaker system install. Bringing my speaker system in, there was an issue with my speakers that I didnt know about (under warranty), and they swapped them out for me with absolutely no issues. They did a great job and I will continue to go here for any car audio I purchase in the future. Thank you guys.

I thought they are the fixers but the way they work really amazed me!!I took my Audi Q5 to check if they can install an Backup Camera, LCD Mirror.. without a second thought they went to my car opened my center mirror and now they cannot fix it... they called few guys from inside store.. they were literally punching the mirror and all the sides to get fitted... For heaven sake it is not a 500$ car which can be hammered..If you love your car, avoid this place...

He has always given me great customer service, and fantastic items.Ive built 3 different systems (al la carte) and they have lasted for years.This location installed a remote start, and alarm on my work truck. The installation and performance is flawless.This Mickey Shorr has my business for life.

Came in asking for a sub that would handle the 1500 watts that my amp was pushing and was sold a $240 Rockford that only took 500 watts. After driving around for 1 hour I knew it was being over driven and was going to blow. I called right away wanting a return and they wouldnt do it. I feel like I was scammed. Had to sell the sub and buy a new one...lost a ton of money.

They embarrased me infront of my ppl car went off in royal oak due to a faulty wiring job had the nerve to chargge 250 to install a type s underglow kit against my better judgement even after reading the negitive reviews assumed id give it a shot but now im out the money for the lights and the interior lights in my dash board that lights up the gas lights speed ect went out

I had them install a car radio. They didnt plug in the speakers correctly so their was a lot of distortion. They didnt hook it up correctly at all. I had my friend look at and he put it together for me. Once he finished everything was working great. So I do not recommend this place at all. Lack luster work and they dont care about your complaints.

Randy hooked me up!! Rockford Fosgate P2 with a pre-tuned box and 500w amp for 380 out the door with the wire kit! definitely satisfied and had everything to hook it up in a matter of two hours right after purchasing it! got the warranty too so overall about 450 for the package. very pleased and will recommend anyone to come here and try it out

This location is my GO 2 Spot! Anytime Im wrenching away on my truck audio and need something off hand, they are always extremely helpful, nice to talk to and quick to get you what you need and back on the road. The Rockford Fosgate equipment they use is always a great buy and a great addition to your vehicles audio. Its such an awesome experience everytime I go in and everyone knows me and is ready to answer my questions. They also do not try to jam merch down your throat, everyone there is a straight shooter and will not sell you something you dont need just to make a few quick dollars. Expert people what it comes to audio, remote starters and radios. My transaction was very very very smooth. They respect the appointemt time up to the second. I was given an 830 AM appointment, I arrived at 815AM, by 830 AM EXACTLY I was called, handed them the remote starter that I had bought the day before and the car keys. They told me the car will be done by 4 PM. I was constantly getting phone calls to update me about the progress of my car. By 4PM, I received a phone call telling me my car is done and is ready for pick up and good to go. I really appreciate the guys at Mickey Shorr, they worth every penny I spent there, especially with the brutal cold winter we have had this year. I definitely recommend this place for all ur remote starters, audio, and radio needs. They are the greatest.

I was more than impressed with my remote starter that I had installed this weekend! I walked into the office around 930 to drop off my car and was told to expect a call around 1-130, and an hour later they called to have me come and pick it up! Great customer service and a great deal Justin A was a big help and I would reccomend him to anybody that asks! I will be using Mickey shorr again in the future for sure,great job guys!

Great install on a Kenwood X801-5 amp and 8 inch JL audio subwoofer. I was worried about space, and they put the amp on the back of the seat with the sub placed a few inches in front. It really doesnt take up much space and will be easy to work around. Sounds great too, big sound from an 8 inch, and my aftermarket door speakers now have the power they needed to work properly. A few minor adjustments to the crossover on the amp and I had my sound almost perfect. Ill toy with it some still of course. Clean looking install also. And a good deal too thanks Randy for that.

It stopped working after one year of purchase! The Remote button battery remote don’t work.... its a piece of junk, waste of money...

The people that work here are extreamly slow boarderline downsydrom patients they are friendly but when it comes time to do the actual work cross your fingers and ur toes they make you sighb papper work that makes them unaccountable for theor mistakes and allows them to pass their mistakes on to your shoulders with a heaftty bill of course

Got my car in the morning and was first in and then they said it would be done by 11 and I would call them throughout the day and they said they were getting to it and now it has been the whole day and its almost done...while every other car was in and out..Never going there again.

My daughter got her radio installed at this Mickey shorr on 2/5/18 and on 2/26/18 I had to take my daughter truck to the shop due to gear shifter not working. It cost me $907.00 dollars which was $107.00 for the tow and $800.00 dollars for the repair my daughter dealership stated that her gear shifter was electronic and whomever installed her radio left wires exposed and they cut her wire to her gear shifter her truck couldve caught on fire. On March 3rd I took all paperwork to Mickey shorr and gave it to the manager I never heard anything from the manager. On March 17th I sent an email and corporate and they contacted me that following Monday and I explained everything that I explained to the manager and provided the same paperwork. Today the 21st of March they had me bring the truck up there they give me some lame excuse saying they didnt do it but they didnt show me any pictures of the wires of the work once it was done on 5th of Feb. as I explained to Sean from corporate there is no reason for the dealership to lie. I instantly contacted the dealership and they stated no one from Mickey Shorr contacted them to ask them about my daughter truck. I recommend you not to go here because they dont appreciate their customers. The manager knew they was liable for the damage because he never reached out to the dealership or followed up with me after I gave him the paperwork on the 3rd. My daughter couldve been riding in her truck and then a fire couldve happen and she couldve been seriously hurt or died on the count of this place not installing her radio correctly. The dealership stated the gear shifter wire was cut and exposed and another wire had slipped out from the clamp that they had put to hold all the wires together. There is no reason for the dealership to lie they placed all the information on the receipt. They attempted to pay with my intelligence by taking the radio apart and showing me the wires for one like I know what Im looking at and for two the wires was already repaired by the dealership they did nothing but pissed me off and wasted an hour of my day and time that I can never get back. Looking at reviews they have had alot of bad installation and wire issues so that means they are liable for the damages. Sean came running out asking was there something he could do they could pay for these damages but they refused to.

THIEVES!! Had $60 cash laying in my center console that I forgot to take out before dropping off my car. When I came back to pick it up all of it was missing and the center console was a mess. Obviously it didnt turn up and I didnt expect it to but beware and be careful with personal items and cash laying in your car!!

Dont know how to rate the service because I didnt get any.. walked in at the same time as another customer only one salesman on the floor went to him first 20 minutes later still no help. there was one guy behind the counter on a computer but it was like I wasnt even there he never acknowledged me not even a greeting. Then they both walked out the store and went to the customers truck so I decided to leave and as I was backing out the salesman tried running over to my truck to get my attention but I waved him off and said no thank you and left. I Will never go back there again

The only reason Im leaving a 1 star is because the system need something this place should be closed down .and I cant believe they have the name mickyshorr or or should advertise car audio I took my surburban in for a simple install the told me about 4 hours they took 6 hours....when I picked it up something didnt sound rite come to find out they didnt hook the speakers up or the video..so I called went back in again mind you Im busyer than most running two businesses that have a 47.ratingthe manager or owner should be ashamed of him self one not one Im sorry or anything .the one employee said they moved the guy that didnt do the job correct to another store instead of firing himTHIS PLACE IS A BAD BUSINESS THAT SURVIVES ON THE FINANCING I THINK STAY AWAYTO THE BUSINESS IF YOU DONT LIKE THIS IM NOT HARD TO FIND GO BACK TO SCHOOL TO LEARN HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS

Staff here stole a gps and change out of my car

Ruines a 20$ cable i just bought told him not to cut it and he did. I still had the receipt to return it then he assured me it was okay and theu would take it back. Nope. Theb wanted 120 to hook up a radio the was already gutted only work needed was connecting wires. Then tried to get me to pay 30 dollars to hook up wire. Told me i dont know how but we will make it work took me 10 minutes and i dont know much at all about it. I will never go to a mickey shorr again. That was my first and last time. The guy tried to get whatever he could out of me wallet and ended up costing me 20 dollars for nothing.

I give zero stars to the Farmington location and five stars to the Livonia location.After having a car starter and door locks installed, the starter stopped working after two weeks. They fixed the starter but the door locks stopped working. The next day, I waited another three hours and finally got the locks to start working. However, the doorlocks had a malfunction whenever the engine was turned on. I went to the Farmington store again and the store manager, Randy, said to come back another day as they are too busy. There are no appointments as it is first come, first serve basis. Now frustrated, I asked to take all the parts out and get a refund but he said there are no refunds. I made multiple attempts the following week to get my car evaluated, but they were always too busy. Then I decided to bring it into the Keego location and they diagnosed the problem as a wiring error; they did nothing and then sent me back to the Farmington location. I spoke to Randy again to be seen but they are too busy again. This was a 1.5 week struggle. Desperately, I finally went to the Livonia location and they fixed it under less than one hour. If you choose to go to Mickey Shorr, I highly recommend getting an extended warranty or else you will be charged $42 every time they evaluate it. And make sure you do not go to the Farmington location.
