This was the 7th Harley Dealership we contacted. They have new ownership and were willing to make everything just right to make us a valued customer. We live 6 hours away in another state and drove the entire way to bring home our new bike. They gave us a great deal. Hogan was the best and has an awesome crew, Yoshi, Tommy, Damion and Abby.. We inquired about a used and ended up buying a new 2021 Road Glide Limited. We also purchased extras and we couldnt be happier. You all treated us fantastic. We danced celebrated to Mississippi Queen when we bought our bike. Be thinking about the song you want them to play when your buying your new ride.

I found a bike I liked online and MotorCity Harley brought my dream to life. Yoshi Rivera was my main man during the whole process. I just recently purchased a 2017 Dyna Street Bob. I am new to the Harley Davidson family, & welcomed with open arms. Jeff & Tahoe were extremely helpful in my purchase. Most of the sales staff are great.The problem is with the motor clothes manager. I was there during their customer appreciation weekend event and watched the manager go off on another employee for asking about buying shirt. Having worked retail, my employees were some of our best customers, and if management treats the employees that way, it shows that they dont actually care about the customer experience. Especially when she was walking around the sales floor while eating.Being a rider, youre limited on places that offer fashion and function, but I will never step foot into the motor clothes side of this dealership ever again. Ill drive further to a different dealership.

Went there to just sign some papers for my endorsement safety class. Well, something may have went wrong.. I signed papers for a brand new Harley 883, but, it was simple and easy working with Zach. Told them what I had for a down payment on hand and the amount monthly I was looking to pay. After a couple hours of labor, watching two semis show up like Christmas with brand new bikes, coffee, jokes and just sarcastic remarks. I walked out owning a brand new 21 Harley 883 sportster.

Took a riders training course here and had a really great experience. The showroom is modern, with a lot of seating and space. Excellent selection of clothing (especially shirts!) and accessories. Full parts and service center on site. Friendly, helpful, informative staff.The parking lot has awful drainage, though, so if youre going to be there during the rain, park near the end of an aisle, not in the middle, to avoid dealing with high water/flooding during heavy rain!

Didn’t even make it to the dealership. I called regarding a bike I was very interested in and kept getting pushed into coming in and looking at other bikes. He couldn’t answer any questions regarding the bike. They push you into using their financial institutions. I was told by Tim that 11% interest rate isn’t to bad and that I was making the buying process more difficult than it needs to be considering I wanted the vin number(if you check other dealers, they have pictures of vin number) of the bike so I could explore my own credit unions that offer 5% interest rate. Not only insulting but unprofessional. I don’t know if all the sales reps are like that but it only took Tim to ruin it for me. He had a chance to sell a bike but instead chose to not listen to the customer. I will go elsewhere. Hope others have better luck.

I had wanted to do business with you and I was forward to another department to which I was placed on hold only to be answered by a machine. Very much of a letdown. Then when I left the message no one has not bother to call me back. Its been 24 hours. Dont bother calling back. You lost yourself a customer. Such a terrible way of doing business. Glad I didnt waste my time nor money to purchase something from your business. Escepially since I told your receptionist I was handicap and needed to know if you had an item for a birthday gift.

First I called 6 times and no one in sales would answer. I left a message for the sales manager and got no return call. I went online and found the bike I wanted. They said they had 5 in stock. Someone called me from my online inquiry. He said they had the bike on the showroom floor. I went to the store in rush hour traffic. Not only did they not have the bike as advertised, they only had one CVO and not in the model I wanted. I asked to see the sales manager. I explained all this to him and he said they have 18 stores and advertise what they have available. I asked why the online person said it was in stock at the Farmington Hills store. He had no answer. I asked for a price and he came back with a price $2,000 over msrp. I was in the store to buy the bike I was looking for and another one. I had a similar experience at their Pontiac store on Telegraph. No one in sales would even come up to me to talk to me. I bought my 4x4 at another store. I will never set foot in any of their 18 stores. They have lost me as a customer. I hope the new owners are smart enough to look at reviews.

Anthony, Paul, Abby, Dusty, and the nice woman in service dept. are some of the nicest people I think Ive ever met, at least in the passed thirty years. I would, if you please, tell them that because of them I would never go anywhere else for service. I almost want to stop by just to say hello. Any way thank you very much. Had an enjoyable experience at this Harley-Davidson dealership. I was there for their swimsuit contest, and was really impressed with the spaciousness of their new facilities. I have been at this Harley dealership when they had a smaller place on Grand river, and was very pleasantly surprised at how much room they now have to operate and showcase their wonderful harleys. I think anybody in the Metro Detroit area should go take a look at all of the different types of Harleys they have, and engage with their staff. Really nice people, so if you are looking for a harley, you take a gander at all of their bikes.

Can I do half a star?? Went yesterday to see about trading in our Harley. We got there and JJ is no longer there; we have bought all our bikes with him. In fact it looks like all the employees are new. We started the process and waited and waited and waited. Doug got called into work so we had to leave and told our salesman Chad and manager Tommy we were still interested and keep the process going. No response last night and can’t get anyone to return our call today. Called and spoke to finance with no results. Cancelled our application and will be looking for a new dealer.

Very positive experience! Did the new rider course with Johnny L. He is amazingly patient and knowledgeable. Id recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn or refresh their skills. Set up an appt to pick up bike for service on Friday. Driver called in am and said he would be there between 3-4. Got a call from their dispatch at 430 saying they can’t make it because the driver got sent somewhere else. The woman on dispatch informed me that they are closed tomorrow and don’t have a driver on mondays. When I told her that I work outside of the business hours outside of that time, she said she would attempt to set up a pick for today and call me back. She never called me back.Outside of the fact that my business apparently wasn’t important enough to not reschedule…the lack of professionalism is amazing. It’s like they are doing is a favor by bringing them business. Do not recommend.

Went here seriously considering a bike, a first bike. JJ was my salesman. Good guy. Not hard pressure, right amount of info. I ended up going back a day later and bought a 883 Iron and LOVE IT. After sale, met the staff at each department. Everyone was honestly very friendly and helpful. Not in a sale-y way felt more organic. These sales guys/gals love to play games. Price on a new bike is XX,XXX on the HD website, but when talking numbers, they have already upped the price by several thousand dollars. Take for instance a brand new 2021 Road King Special. 22,999 on the HD website without taxes, title, doc fees, etc. Puts me around 24, maybe 25k. These guys wrote it all down and came up with 32k for just the bike! How awesome is that? Service dept is very helpful though and have some very knowledgable people working.FYI, I refuse to purchase a bike from this dealer that marks up their prices so obnoxious. First time Harley owner here, this was not a good show from a dealer from the sales end.

Worst dealership I have ever been to, we were looking for a 2021 CVO Limited, called the dealership a dozen times was put on hold each time and nobody ever came to the phone, left a message for sales, left a message for Mike the general manager no one ever returned our calls. Went online to their website and saw they had five of the bikes we were looking for available, spoke to one of their online sales people and he confirmed the bike was there, drove 40 miles to look at the bike and most likely purchase it, got to the dealership and was told that they didn’t have any bikes available at all there, asked to speak with Mike the general manager, after waiting 10 minutes with nobody else in the store and him sitting up in their showroom perch staring at us,he finally came over to us and said that they didn’t have the bike!!! But……could have one in two days if we wanted to pay $2000 over MSRP. This dealership has no idea what’s going on and then tries to rip off the customer by charging $2000 more than they should. Save yourself time,headache and hassle and go somewhere else!!!! If I could give negative stars I would but 1 star is the only option, I don’t believe they even deserve that. What is really sad is the sales person that we talked to when we got there is the one that suffers because the place can’t be managed. TRUST ME GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Amazing customer service. I kid you not, amazing. The employees here work great together and made my purchase easy to do over the phone so I can run in and run out. They even cut up wrapping paper and placed it inside so I can wrap it later. I had everything I needed for this Christmas/Birthday gift for my sister. After admiring my gift for my sister. I wrapped the gift up and couldn’t have been more happier with my purchase. It was a rush of people, but I was able to run in and run out. They made that happen, the employees. Great staff. Took my 2014 Street glide special there for repairs after an accident. 21 wheel upgrade was done with a new Klockwerks fender and fender adapters. I had Ohlins suspension installed front and rear. Bike looked great. Rode it home. Noticed the front fender was smashed. So after a few days riding the bike was bottoming out like crazy. Constantly hitting the fender. So i take it back. They tell me my crash bar was the problem. Lindby Magnum bar 1.5 diameter compared to 1.25 diameter stock. They tried to say they told me that would be a problem. Thats a lie! So I change the crash bar back to stock diameter. Still hitting the fender. Took the bike to Georgia. Bottomed out so bad the fender smashed into the bottom of the triple tree stamping the serial # in my fender. At this point I start looking a little closer. Someone mentioned the fender bracket might have to be adjusted. Thats when i noticed the bracket has a flat side and a curved side. The curved side was up flat side down. That didnt seem right to me. So I decided to flip them around. Guess what? Problem solved. No more hitting or bottoming out. The suspension was finally able to work right and the ride was amazing! Feeling happy and disappointed at the same time. I went back to the dealer to inform them of the problem. They refuse to take any responsibility. They tell me its not hitting anymore because I already smashed the fender. Once again. All my fault. You rode it they tell me. But they wont admit that they did anything wrong. The service manager wouldnt even come talk to me. Ive spent over 70k in this dealership but Id be hard pressed to spend another dollar.

Pro:First Ive Ive ever been in this shop. I hate going into dealerships very much. I came in to get an in the tank fuel line for my 07 Ultraglide. Joe at the parts counter looked it and the computer said they were out of stock, but Joe went the extra step and checked in the back anyway, and low and behold, he came back with the part I needed. Im always apprehensive about going into dealerships for anything, and Im not one to write reviews about anything. But Joe and Motor City HD have made me a customer. Ill buy here again, and If I ever buy a new bike, they will be the first place I go.Con:$55.00 bucks for a 6 fuel line. (But Im happy to have my part)Thanks again.

Worst Harley Dealership experience Ive ever had. Purchased a 2012 Heritage Softail Classic back in Mid May with only 1300 miles on it. Nothing but problems with it since I bought it. Service department, Service manager and General manager do not return phone calls, voicemails or emails. Found Craig the General Managers email on here from other reviews and wrote him an email while Motor city had my Harley for 11 days. Took them 6 days to even look at the bike and still couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Since purchasing the bike it has already had a new battery, new regulator, new fuel pump and fuel lines. What was the 600$ inspection and setup fee that I paid for when purchasing the bike if it had all these problems? Put 5k down on my bike and financed the other 10. Very upset. Called Wolverine Harley and they had my bike in and diagnosed the same day. The owner even called me to let me know the bike is in good hands and Ill be taken care of. My business will be with Wolverine from now on. Ive contacted Harley Corporate over this as well. If you purchase a used bike, pay attention to the financing. 600$ for an inspection fee and 300$ in administrative/documentation fees. Almost 1k over the price tag of the bike.Update: Received 1 email from the general manager 17 days ago stating he would look into this and contact me back. I responded and said I look forward to speaking with him. Have not heard back since.

We just picked up our 2021 Tri-Glide. As promised, JJ was able to track down our new Harley in our desired color within a few days. We found it was well worth the trip from Indianapolis to MCHD, and we were treated fairly and like family. The crew at MCHD was courteous and very friendly.We will definitely recommend MCHD to any future customers. Before heading home, JJ was especially helpful and made sure we were totally satisfied while assisting us in loading and securing our new purchase for our return trip.

Incompetent parts dept. Ive had to drive up 3 times now to get the right light for my luggage rack, dispite me having the part number, name, and picture of my harley davidson luggage brand air wing luggage rack they still cant understand that I dont want the tour pack light considering I do NOT have a tour pack. This time Ill just return it and order it online, im done playing this game with a staff that doesnt know the parts theyre pushing.

They had my bike for 5 almost 6 weeks keep getting the run around with what was going on with it. Never a return call!!.. When i spoke with the Service Manager he stated they hadnt even started on my bike, and the advisors keep saying its on the lift and should be soon. Poor communication with customers and if you dont call they never update you on whats going on.

Bought a sportster at another harley dealership, wasnt happy with it. They swore it would take months to trade it in. Within 2 hours at motorcity I had no issues trading it for a bigger bike. The other dealership charged me way more than they should of, but motorcity fixed it and got me on a way better bike. Ask for JJ he was awesome but everyone in there was great and pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them

MCHD posted an ad for a bike that fit the bill I was after. Since I live in Chicago, all of my initial dealings were via email/phone/texts through one of their sales guys - JJ. I only have good things to say about him. He was professional, straightforward and a nice guy. When I traveled to MCHD to sign on the dotted line, I found that the bike was just as advertised and my test ride checked out. The paperwork was ready and in order and I was on my way in about an hour or so. Good experience all around.

A dealership is a building some big some small, some real nice, some need work, what makes a dealership truly special is the people and the relationships, forged between customer and employee, I just cant say this enough, the staff at Motorcity go above and beyond everytime, they have a big dealership loaded with bikes, parts, accessories and motor clothes, but the biggest thing is the sole, you can feel it, this is my Harley Dealership

I bought an Iron 1200 from these people and got a terrible rate, 9%, even with a 750 credit score. When I went to refinance through a credit union, they told me the buyout price was MORE THAN THE VALUE OF THE BIKE BY $2,300. Take your business elsewhere, theres a reason that place is always empty. Go to Motown Harley instead

I went in just planning on looking at new bikes, and JJ found the perfect fit for me and my wife, had a price we can afford, and we couldnt be happier. I cant write enough good stuff about the guy. Not to mention all of the incredible staff that they have there. you cant go wrong buying a bike for motor City harley.

My husband and I shopped around for a new Harley for us after owning several. Many dealerships were rude and pushy with bikes we didnt want. The staff at Motor City was amazing! We knew what we wanted and Dylan found the exact one for us. The finance department made everything smooth and easy. Thanks to Bob and Kurt. You guys definitely earned our business and we will refer all of our rider friends!! If you go anywhere else, youre making a terrible decision!

Let me start by saying people at Service counter are awesome especially Justin. The service techs though are a completely different story. Incompetent is putting it nicely. They dont pay attention to what they are doing. Just one example is i had a after market clutch installed that burned up within 600 miles. Why? Cause they didnt pay attention to what type of clutch and used the wrong lubricant in it. Another one is tire pressure. Dunlop which is Harleys stock tire runs at 32 psi in front noted 36 psi in rear. I run Metzler tires on mine which require 42 and 46 because of softer compound tires. The techs HAVE NEVER got this correct. Even when I have specifically had it noted on service order. I could go on but I feel as though that is piling on.

I know nothing about motorcycles, but my husband really wants one. So I went in just looking for something shiny, yet manly. Dusty took the time to explain the difference between each bike and offered suggestions for my tall handsome husband. Great customer service! I’ll be back with my husband, to get a bike for me, not him.

Got new grips, fluids changed and picked up a little gift for a friend.. all good here

I visited Motorcity Harley Davidson Oct.18 2020 expecting to trade in my bike for a decent used bike but rather than that happening Scott Bradley made my dreams come true!I left with the bike I’ve wanted since I started riding. My very own BRAND NEW 2020 Street Glide!!!To say the least him and his team worked very hard an got me on the bike I was meant to be on I couldn’t be happier with my experience.I will absolutely return an refer anybody to him for a great sale!!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

In Detroit for a show and stopped in to grab a cool shirt. I was surprised to find an upscale selection of popular Harley models and way cool gear. The bikes were tricked out with OEM goodies, showing off new paint and polished surfaces really well. They have lots of sunlight coming in and the staff is top notch, shining bright too. Thanks!
