Beautiful instrument and amazing craftsmanship. I have been wanting to order a Halo for a very long time and finally made the decision. I went with a Halo + in a Pygmy XI scale. The sounds are mystical and introspective and I could not be happier. The new layout is great and I appreciate the extra notes as it offers endless playability with so many ways to create sound. I play it everyday and could not be happier.. such an expressive instrument. The order came sooner than expected and the Pantheon Steel team checked in with me, which I really appreciate. The carrying bag it came with is of very high quality which can be carried with a handle or used as a backpack. I highly recommend Pantheon Steel... from my years of research they are the top of the game when it comes to pan drums.

Pantheon Steel makes gorgeous hand pan drums. I bought a Halo as a gift for my son and the owner of Pantheon, Kyle Cox, could not have been more kind and helpful answering all my questions. The Halo has a gorgeous, resonant sound and it came packed in a well made case along with a smaller hiking fanny pack. Kyle even sent a tee shirt in my son’s size. Kyle Cox is committed to quality, excellent customer service and bringing goodness into the world. My son LOVES his Halo! I recommend Pantheon Steel without reservation. Thank you, Kyle!

Highest marks possible! Its hard to write this as Im personally a tad suspicious of over-the-top reviews. Well, so Ill give it my best shot. Feel free to contact me if you want more info.If you have any doubts about Pantheon Steel, or the quality of the product they produce, you can let those doubts fall by the wayside, and good riddance. These people are truly passionate about their craft, their product, and are genuinely committed to making sure that you LOVE the Halo that you purchase from them. You can be assured that you are getting a product made with extreme attention to detail, skill, the result of countless hours of engineering, and a superb, nuanced ear for tuning with years of understanding and experience, which is a huge part of the magic that leads to a unique instrument. This is art, indeed. When you contact them, you very quickly realize you are talking to someone who is doing this because they are doing what they do because they choose to be doing it, and they love what they do. This translates 1:1 to the quality of their product, and of course also enriches that product as the relationship does not end with the exchange. It makes a huge difference and that sadly is becoming a rarity these days.About my Halo: I have a B Ursa Minor 23, made in winter 2020/2021. It is incredibly responsive, with delightful sustain, intriguing overtones, and a depth which is really hard to put a finger on, as I have not yet fully explored it. Part of the problem trying to relate to you what this is all about is that when I do it, I get a hankering to go play some more (as research) and then things like words, I find, are insufficient to express the subtleties. As a newer player, I could not hope to do justice to it by recording, but I will say Im delighted to use the reason that I get lost when playing as excuse for not sharing such as yet. Go figure. Some of the joy Ive found comes from the sustain, which I think is a result of the thicker steel in this model. Ironically, its not sustaining all the notes all the time as I play that gives me this joy, but rather, the interesting tonal effects created by damping that sustain, and playing faster in some cases. Its almost like bonus tones or something. As for the scale, Ursa Minor .. well then, figuring out where to start is very hard. Ursa Minor is a great place to start if you are looking for something that balances minor tension with major openness, and a pleasing touch of the exotic. It is not too happy or too sad nor too mysterious. But it has elements of all of those, and this makes it a very useful scale indeed. This is something Ive determined pretty recently, and it will be interesting to see what I think of these words in a few months or so.The Halo is very solid feeling, yet ultra-responsive. I love this, as between the very solid, perfectly-tuned fundamentals, there are a seemingly endless variety of harmonics and (frankly I dont know what you call them) dynamic relationships between resonant notes and harmonies that somehow evokes something much more than the 8 tonefields present on this instrument. Are you still reading? If so, then you have the interest, and the ability to make the purchase (lucky you!), I can think of no reason why you are not contacting Pantheon Steel and making a purchase. Do it!

I am very pleased with the performance of klezmara in B recently delivered by Kyle and his team. Each tone field projects equally with a clarity that is impressive and the uniform surface treatment is immaculate giving a strong statement in itself for stage presence.

Hello Kyleever since I started making music in 1983 (drums, percussion, cajon) I have never been so touched by an instrument as a handpan. In addition to my PanArt Hang Bal, PanArt Gubal, PanArt Hang Gudu and ECS Blue Steel Pan, a halo has now found its way to me.Ever since I got my Halo (end of May) I play it almost every day. The harmonic sound and the hidden overtones (I always find new ones) touch my soul every time to the new. Thank you for this fantastic artwork and thank God for allowing me to play Halo.Greetings Wolfgang

I couldn’t dream of a more well crafted handpan. You can really tell a lot of love for the craft is poured into every one of these, and they are masters of the craft. Words don’t do the quality of the halos justice. Instrument aside, Kyle’s customer support is amazing as well. The slightest concern and he’ll talk with you through email or phone, and do his absolute best to find a remedy or even simply answer questions. I’ve never felt so reassured with a purchase. I’m very grateful for the whole experience, and I definitely recommend this maker. Thanks again!!

Wow! My halo is one of the most beautiful instruments Ive ever seen (and I own and have played quite a couple of different kinds) - both in outward appearance and, even more important, in terms of quality of sound. Despite the general opinion that it is so difficult to obtain one of these beautiful instruments I actually did get one. And Im absolutely happy with it.I have to say that I was also very pleased with the customer service at Pantheon Steel because they were really kind and helpful!Thank you everyone at Pantheon Steel for doing such an excellent job. Keep up your great work!!!

The most fantastic handpans in the known universe. I recently had the experience of playing my new Gemini Halo alongside a freshly tuned 1st generation Hang. Usually the hang rewards the player with the light touch, but the new Halo does it one better in purity of tone and responsiveness. These are truly advanced expressions of the makers art.

The Klezmara Halo has stolen my mind!As soon as I opened the box and picked up my Halo I knew I was in for something beautiful. My softest touch brought echos of harmonics that brightened up my room. Ive had my Halo 23 Ursa Minor for a few months now and I can say that Ive enjoyed every session with it. It appeals to me on a lot of different levels. Im a mechanical engineer by profession so there is absolute respect for the science and craftsmanship built into your product which is top notch on both accords. Im also a musician at heart and to be able to pick up an instrument like this and discover new things about it every time is unique. My primary instrument has always been bass guitar and the parallels between that and the Halo are strong as both are creating links between tone and percussion. I have enjoyed every minute of it. Everyone that see it for the first is interested and then blown away once they hear it. My only struggle (if you can call it that) is actually forcing myself to try and write a structured song with it as free style improvising is too much fun. All I can say is keep up the amazing work and thank you for driving for the quality you have achieved.

There are many reasons I love my Halo - its far more than an intuitive instrument. Behind Kyle and the team, there is a history of fine craftsmanship, innovation, dedication, connection, care, and community. All of these qualities are embued energetically in each instrument to the point I believe gives each handpan a consciousness of its own. The Halo has a range of harmonics that oscillate between the sweetest whisper to the rumble of deep tones. Each time I play I witness the unfolding beauty of the infinite, a journey of newness, beauty, and heart-soul union. So grateful.

For about 10 years or more, I have been hoping to have a Handpan. It was at that time, while attending the Himalayan Festival in Berkeley, I heard the more than colorful sound of the instrument. I was just involuntarily drawn into the instrument. It was being performed by an amazing musician named Laura Inserra. So now I am a proud owner of a Klez!I am having the time of my life exploring my creativity. Thank you Pantheon Steel for making a more than beautiful instrument!!!

For a person who has no musical knowledge, no musical gene and the disadvantage of having only 9 fingers(due to an accident), I have given up hope of playing any instrument until I discover the handpan. Playing other handpans gave me great joy of freedom, liberation and satisfaction. I determined to acquire the Halo, if all possible; because of the sophisticated workmanship of Pantheon Steel and the generous sharing philosophy of Kyle Cox. I am fortunate to be able to purchase 2 Halo 23s, a Deep Elysian and a La Sirena. They both exceed my expectation; two pieces of art in shape and sound. The Halos are so well built that they require least effort to produce great sound, resonance, and sustain. It is an instrument for anyone who has a desire to make music, even if you don’t consider yourself a musician. Thank you Kyle and the Halo Team to bring the world a gift.

Pantheon Steel has been a pillar of the handpan art form since 2009. Their handpan, the Halo, holds true to its original and intentional purpose. Its remarkably simple and so satisfying to play. I recently purchased my New Era Halo (22 inch version) in the Ursa Minor sound model. For a bit of context, I own an original PANArt Hang and 4 other high-quality handpans, yet, Im pretty sure this Halo is my favorite handpan to date... Its clearly the result of 10 years of craftsmanship, design and engineering. If youre looking for the best sound, I highly recommend Pantheon Steel!
