Bob came to our residence to give estimate to refinish and reupholster 6 antique dining chairs. We are so happy with the results! The chairs turned out beautiful! Price was reasonable, highly recommend.

They just completed refinishing a 100 year old oak dining set that has been in the family and used daily. My grandfather purchased this in 1918. The set showed that wear and tear. The job was completed in about 4 weeks and although not perfect (but better than I could probably expect), they did a real nice job and I would use their service again.

Initially hesitant as reviews are either 5’s or 1’s... all based on timeliness. Great work...fair price...and work was done in 10 days as promised. Explain your expectations and Bob follows through. Couldn’t be happier or more satisfied. Thanks Bob!

Just wanted to reply to Steves post. The exact same thing happened to me although it was several years ago. Took one chair and loved it so I asked him to do another one. Months and months of calling and even going out there. Never got my chair!!

So...where to begin. Bob did great work for me on one chair. It took him a few months to get done but the work he did was amazing. Which led to me wanting him to do another chair of mine that was my grandfathers. The first chair took about 4 months to complete. I was good with that since there was so much detail that went into it. I had to call a few times to get updates on the progress but again, no big deal. Now that I have my 1st chair back, I cant wait to have my 2nd one done. Well, Bob has had this chair for one year and two months now. I call him almost every other week now to check on it. Most of the time, nobody evers answers the phone and I have NEVER had a call back to give me an update. When I do get thru to him, he has told me he will have it to me the next week. This has happen at least 10 times now where I have stayed home waiting for delivery and then, no call, no show. Last time I tried to get ahold of him Common I offered to come out and pick up the chair in completed. He told me that I could not come get it because he had snagged it. It is now been 4 weeks since he told me that it would have the chair back to me, of course one week later. Still nothing. I just want my furniture back. I would like my money back that I already put down on down payment on this chair and I just want this to be over.DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS IF YOU VALUE COURTESY, COMMUNICATION, CUSTOMER SERVICE! I dont know what to do to get my chair back.

They re-upholstered my moms chair and it looks fantastic!

Called for a estimate and was at my house 45 min. later. Estimate was reasonable, cant wait to get it back!

I guess the guy that runs this company is independently weathey. Saw from the reviews his name must be bob. I Never got that far because he doesnt answer the phone or return phone calls. I need work done. im not going to keep calling to get it done either. Their not the only reupholster around.. doesnt seem like he needs the business anyway. Very unprofessional.

Bob came out and gave me a quote on my chairs. He took his time and helped me pick out a nice material. He returned my chairs 9 days later and they looked fantastic! he was $300 cheaper then a few other places I called.

Great Lakes just completed redoing 6 chairs that were given to me and are no less than 50 years old. I needed the seat padding replaced on all 6 of the chairs.When I called Great Lakes they were very professional and came out to my house almost immediately to give me a quote. Because it was around Christmas he let me know that he could not get to the chairs until the New Year, which of course was fine with me.Bob then reached out to me, picked up the chairs and had them completed in less than a week and they are gorgeous.I plan on recommending Great Lakes to my entire network that needs reupholstery work!

They refurbished a couch and loveseat for me and they look great! they replaced the cushions and now its really comfortable. I would recommend these guys if you want something done!

Just got my 2 antique chairs back from Great Lakes Re- Upholstery. They are absolutely gorgeous! My father was an upholsterer for over fifty years and I was afraid to have anyone else work on my furniture. Bob knows what he is doing and definitely had the skill and expertise to work on my very special antique chairs. I would strongly recommend him. There are very few people out who are true upholsterers. Many people recover furniture, but very few are the true craftsmen like my dad was and like Bob is! Thank you Bob!

Ive known the family owned company for years. They are the most trustworthy people around. Theyve re-done multiple things. Tho sometimes dates are not met, their product is guaranteed and always comes without a flaw. I had my couch cushions done five years a ago. My dogs wore holes into them. Not their fault but they re did them for free. Now that is quality dependable service. Every person Ive turned on to them has always gone back for more with zero complaints. For the people giving them a bad review, Im sure they nickel and dimed the company to the point the owner does not care if their business is liked. He takes care of those people that are loyal and respectable. If you owe them money, pay your bill and you may get the outcome you expect.

They did a fantastic job on my recliners. Bob really knows his stuff!

We had Bob re-do 11 cushions of our Lloyd Flanders patio set. We got them back just as Bob promised but realized the supply company sent him the wrong material. Bob came back immediately, took back the cushions and re-did them in the correct fabric. We got them back in just 3 days. Not only does Bob do what he says hes going to do, but the workmanship on the cushions is absolutely top-notch. My wife and I will send our best friends to Bob without hesitation. Beautiful work. Beware!! Took my furniture and payment months ago and has not returned my furniture. Owner refusing phone calls.

I sure wish I had read other reviews before writing a check for $ 350 and giving them my recliner! Same bad review as others, promised in 3-4 weeks, it has been over 2 months. Will not return phone calls and when they do answer the phone I get excuse after excuse. It should be ready tomorrow, Thursday by the latest. About ready to show up with the police (I know a few who owe me some favors).

Very unprofessional. They took my couch cushion 4/11/17. Ive called over and over. They still have my cushion. I called again today, 8/11/17 just asking for my cushion whether its done or not but I havent heard from them. Its been 4 months. So far they dont deserve a star but I couldnt post this without marking one.

Would never recommend this place. Terrible customer service, owner Bob never keeps his word or returns phone calls. Waited 15 weeks instead of 6 weeks for my dining room set to be refinished with excuse after excuse why it was taking so long. Come to find out they stained it the wrong color not the color I had picked. So instead of being honest and telling me the mistake they avoided my calls and when Bob did talk to me had different excuses why it was taking so long to get my set back. When they finally delivered my set that’s when they admitted they had stained it the wrong color and had to restrip it again, and thats why I took so long. The set did turn out beautiful and I was just grateful to finally get my set back. Seven months later I noticed the original glue had dissolved where the chairs are glued on the back rest and the top veneer of the table was lifting. This dining room set was made in the early 1900’s, a beautiful antique set. I called Bob back to see if he could look at what was going on and if he could fix it. Promise after promise of I’ll be over next week to look at it. Week after week has gone by and I have left messages and no return call. Will now use another company to fix it. So buyer beware of this company, they have zero customer service and they lie. Don’t use them.

I finally received my chair back after 12 WEEKS. I was promised it would be done in 2 weeks. We have made several phone calls, most of the calls unanswered, when they did answer seems like we had a new excuse each time. Although the work appears to be good I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Their customer service is lacking to say the least.

This place is a joke! They are extremely rude. They didnt put enough stuffing in the couch and there is two large holes in the middle of the couch. We tried to contact them and they will not call us back. The owner tried to tell us to quick fix it because he is too lazy to fix HIS mistakes! My grandpa sits on the couch and it is really hurting him now after they did whatever they did to it. They are EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!
