Service, and there willingness to help is horrible.. I will never return to this store. Browns do it center in Goodrich is far superior of an archery center, I will never step foot into Sunrise again

Im very picky about who works on my bow. Everyone of them guys are very knowledgeable on ALL brands. I recommend if you want work done on your bow and done right take it to these guys. They are the best around!!!

Great shop. The staff is super knowledgeable and willing to answer questions for beginners. They have a great selection of bows, targets, accessories, etc. Also a great boot shop next door.

Took my perfectly-functioning crossbow in for a new string. I feel that I way overpaid, and my crossbow was quasi-dry firing with the new string. When I took my crossbow back to correct the problem, I was initially told that I did not load the arrow properly. They replicated the problem on the spot. I was then told that they knew what they were doing, they used a string that met Tenpoints specification, and that I should buy new arrows with a different style of nock. Alternately, I could call Tenpoint to get their input, as they had never seen this situation before. I would expect that a dealer and authorized repair center would be horrified that they rendered a customer’s crossbow useless, and that they would take it upon themselves to work with the factory to fix it. Not so.UPDATE- After the initial interaction, I discovered that the limbs were cracked. I returned to the shop and they agreed to replace the limbs and string at no charge. The manager was totally professional, and they took care of me. Excellent recovery!!

Sunrise is the best bow shop in southeast Michigan. The staff are true professionals and really “know their stuff.” They seem to always have everything I need in stock which is quite impressive. Bows, crossbows, accessories, targets, Sitka apparel- you name it, they have it.

Ive been here 5 times. After they tuned up my bow it proceeded to explode in my face after shot it.The service is stinks. You stand at the counter and no one helps you. The inventory stinks. Didn’t even have a range finder.

First time visitor, staff was kind and more than accommodating, beautiful store inside and out. Will be a repeat costumer for sure!

Came in today to get my new Prime setup and the guys were awesome! Prime recommended seeing an authorized dealer for arrow rest and arrow selection and I can see why, these guys know what they’re doing. An older gentleman helped me select arrows and a rest, and a younger guy tied in my peep and D-Loop, when I asked him to paper tune the bow, he happily obliged and we shot through paper which led to some minor adjustments. I took the bow home and straight down to my basement range, and as soon as I had the sight dialed in, I was throwing out sub 1 inch six shot groups at 20 yards.

Great shop. I have had service work done to my bow, purchased lots of arrows, purchased a youth bow and a Genesis bow all with solid service from the staff.

Went in to start learning about what bow to buy. This place is excellent. I had stopped at a big box store (Bass Pro) and they treated me like an inconvenience. At SunRy, Jeff treated me great. We talked over what I was hoping for and he walked me right over to 2 great choices in my price range (they have a large range of bows from less expensive to top of the line). He set them up and let me try both. I need to finalize my choice but I will definitely be buying from them.

The guys were the best. Bought a craigslist special, bought it in...they cleaned her out and got her firing again, and provided great info about the xbow. Took care of me and I know if I need anything, Ill be stopping back by SunRys

So i bought a ravin r20 xbow from sunrys.paid almost $3000 on it.The string broke after only 2 seasons I took it in today thinking they could put the string on and send me on my way.Instead i was told I could drop it off and they would call me when they could get to it.Well its November 6th so with only 9 days left of bow season before fire arm starts not to mention the rut is just starting. I offered to pay extra if they could do it while I waited.The bow tech said it was not happening.I said ok I will just buy the string and see if I could find a near by shop to put it on for me today.He seemed agrivated that I would ask that.HE said again he could get to it in 2 or 3 days.I asked again to just sell me the string.He threw the string on the counter and charged me $190 bucks.Wow $190. I paid the high price.Then I went to Browns do it center in Goodrich.WIliam the service tech jumped rite on it and had me on my way in 15 minutes He also told me $190 was way way to much for a bow string.I dont do google reviews as a matter of fact this is my first.But after how I was treated at sunrys I will never go back.Do your self a favor an buy your bow from Browns do it center.

Good place to get your bow fixed up. They were able to get my Excalibur crossbow fixed up with a week of me bringing it in. Even reached out to Excalibur to get my warranty to cover the parts.

These guys are the apex of the archery game. They have sold and setup numerous bows for me and without failure. Every time they provided the attention necessary to fully tune the bows and answer all of my questions. If you value good old-fashioned work ethic and quality then these are your guys. I cant say enough good things about them, too bad there are only 5 stars available as this is definitely a 12 star shop.

Just want to share my experience as it was very positive. Needed the string and cable replaced on my Diamond bow thats a few years old. Took it to them and had the work done, no troubles. Price was good, took about a week. Shot it afterwards with no issues.Shop was very nice/clean with good inventory and I was treated very well. Received a phone call promptly once the work was done. String looks really nice and the bow shoots great.Pretty much a prefect deal, in my opinion.

Awesome bow shop! My first time i went in there to get a 3rd axis sight leveled because other bow shops said they couldnt do it, so I took it there and they did free of charge since it was an easy job. From then on I get all my Archery equipment there and service done, and Ill defiantly be buying my next bow from them. Great group of people there and are very knowledgeable with what they do!

Which ever female employee drives the new blue chevy silverado with this companies logo on the back should probably retake drivers ed because going 90+ mph in a 70 mph zone on US-69 with brights blazing doesnt reflect too well on this company. Please be safe on the highways.

I purchased one of their raven crossbow‘s a month ago. This past week I noticed while practicing that the crossbow was not functioning properly. I brought it back to SunRy’s the owner Ryan inspected the crossbow and noticed that the scope mounts were off just a little bit. He figured it was something in the Manufacturing process of the rings. He took a brand new set of topend scope mounts off-the-shelf and install them on the crossbow. He then checked the timing of the crossbow told me to take it home shoot it and see if replacing of the mounts solved the problem. That night I went home I shot the crossbow and it was not shooting the groups it was capable of. I then brought it back thinking that Ryan was going to send it back to the manufacture and get it repaired. At this point Ryan pulled a brand new one off the shelf and handed it to me. In my opinion not only did he go above and beyond trying to fix the crossbow, But knowing that I had a upcoming hunt in my near future he replaced a bow no questions asked. I have been in archery shops all over the country not only does SunRy’s Archery have an amazing selection but as I stated above their sales and service goes above and beyond.

I stopped into get my bow looked at (new string and timing). It was a older bow 15+ years old, but all I could afford at the time I purchased it. They did what they could never trying to sell me something else or telling me how I needed a new bow cause of the age of mine like some places would. Just got me fixed up so I could get back into the woods. Next year I went in looking for a new bow, I knew the exact bow I wanted after days of research and shooting different bows. They never tryed to sell me on something I didnt want. They told me what they liked about it and what they didnt. Very honest. I purchased the bow i wanted an they set it up to me. That day took it home and destroyed 4 arrows in a good way. Next week my father bought the same bow from them and a friend a few weeks later. Would recommend Everytime

I found SunRys on google after having a poor experience at a different store around Royal Oak. Being new to the south eastern MI area, I took the drive and found the store itself to be quite nice. Spacious and new, but thats all that I can say positive about my experience. The staff didnt quite pay attention to my needs. Constantly trying to up sell (which I understand is part of a sales job) while ignoring my specific product requests. A few times in which they appeared to humor me while insinuating I didnt quite know what I was talking about. The 2 stars given were for the store itself, not the staff. This experience alone would cause me to question having my bow worked on by them.

Glad I went to this store. Helpful staff that set up my first compound bow for me. They gave me some pointers as a first timer, had me use the bow, and made some adjustments. As a first timer, I made first timer mistakes fairly quickly. They helped and fixed the mistake I made at no charge.

This shop is definantly the place to go weather you are looking to buy a new bow or crossbow or get the one you already have tuned. The shop itself is a very cool place to visit for your archery needs. My bow was not shooting very accurately, >6 inch shot groups at 20 yards. I emailed Sunrys and asked a few questions about a tune up. They very politely told me that a basic tune would cost $40 and I could bring my bow in any time. I left the bow there over night for them to work on and they got in done within 24 hours. When I picked it up they even gave me a deal on the purchase. My newly tuned bow now shoots

I just bought a G5 Torrent from Sunrys. I had went to 3 other local bow shops before finally deciding to buy here because of the helpful staff and selection. They earned a lifelong customer.

I took my daughter in for the first time for the both of us,a guy named Jim took really good care of us,not only explained to my daughter but showed my daughter how to properly shoot an arrow for the first time,she hit the bullseye on her second try! The joy on my daughters face was priceless,get knowledgeable staff,alot of cool stuff,plus great work boots section also.

Brought my bow to them just after Christmas for new strings on the recommendation. Its a 1.5 hour drive each way, but figured that it would be worth it. Dropped my bow off and they said with the holiday it would be about a week. A week for strings? OK, theyre being made to order, but a week? I already drove out so let them take my bow. A week goes by and nothing. I call them and my strings arent ready. I dont know if theyre making them their or ordering from somewhere else. Some excuses made, but promised in the next 2 days. Two weeks from dropping my bow off I get it back. Strings look great and I get home to notice the timing is way off. Im not driving another 3 hours total to have them twist the cable. I fix the timing issue and the Sunrys installed d-loop comes undone mid-draw. Thankfully I had an arrow on the string in front of a bale rather than using the draw board otherwise it would have been catastrophic. Called the shop and they said to bring it back to the shop and they would take care of the loop. Needless to say, I didnt go back and ordered a set of strings from 60X online. They arrived within a week and after installing them, everything was spot on. If Sunrys was 5 minutes from me, they wont ever touch one of my bows again.

Picked up my first bow from these guys and they pretty much exceeded all my expectations. When I went in a week earlier before my purchase I let them know I wasnt ready to commit to anything that day and they still took care of me and let me shoot several bows and even encouraged me to shoot more. I came back a week later to give them my business because I found that NO ONE in the area holds a flame to Sunrys. If you are thinking about stopping in Whitmore Lake, dont waste your time. Sunrys is the best shop around, hands down.

I took my crossbow for a new strung, cable, cam. They had it for 2 weeks and i got it back the evening before deer camp. I got to camp and loaded a bolt and immediately noticed that my new strung was shredding with each load. I did not get to use my bow for a hunt. I took it to another shop for an inspection. I was told and shown that the wrong string was put on byt the string guides that keep the string straight and seperate were completely missing so the string was binding on the rollers. I have to restring it again. I will never go back to this business and i have told everyone i know not to go there. They were nice but that doesnt bring back missed hunts.
