I made my first trip to Moodys a week ago, and I will be going back often. The Indiana raised NY strip and ribeye I purchased looked great and tasted even better. They also carry a small selection of beers from Three Floyds, along with their wines.

Food was delicious, prices were great. Disappointed that whomever was in charge behind the counter didn’t wear a mask during the worst time this pandemic has seen, disregarding the safety of his patrons (and science). Will go elsewhere from now on.

I love this butcher shop! I love their steak burgers, shrimp, chicken bombs, ground beef,steaks, bacon, and chicken. I dont buy meat from the grocery store anymore, you can definitely taste the difference. The customer service is great. I order the steak burgers every two weeks :) theyre better than any restaurants! Ive been there and theyll make them on the spot for me- where else can you get fresh made steak burgers on the spot! I called earlier today to place my order, theyll have them ready today! LUV IT!!!! Please support this local butcher shop, you wont be disappointed.

5 stars out of 5! my son and i went, he was acting up as all 3 year olds do and they were so sweet and friendly. they let me take my time due to him acting up as well as when i was trying to call my husband to see what he was ok with me getting they did not hurry me then either. the discounts were amazing. as well as the meat looks so fresh and beautiful

This is a favorite of mine. You can find what you need or they will do a custom cut. I have had Picana, Tritip, veal shanks, short ribs and many custom cut standards. They also have some hard to find craft beer and other goodies. Definitely recommended. Join their VIP club if you are a returning visitor. I have had a couple of surprise rebates.

High quality meats for great price, their sweet bacon is incredible. Honestly the best bacon Ive ever had, their pepper bacon on a BLT is phenomenal.Moodys reminds me of an old school butcher brought into the 21st century. Custom cuts and meats easily ordered with some craft beers on the shelves. Cool little grocery section with some choices you wont find normally.Overall pretty cool place to shop at.

Decent meat but way over priced. Charged over $70 for 12 burgers that were poorly packed and very uneven. Wings were better but I won’t be going back.

Have to give one star for this butcher shop due to one of the worst customer experiences I have had. We were there to pickup some nice steaks for grilling. Looked over the seafood and it looked very good. They had some good looking grouper. The steaks looked good but the selection was below average for a butcher shop. Bought 4 filet mignon steaks that were reasonably priced at $29.99 per pound. The woman that waited on us was horrible. Was not helpful at all as we were trying to pick out our steaks. Was throwing the filets on and off the scale. Truly acted like she hated to be there and hated to help customers. I wanted to walk out without buying anything but did not have any other options.

Hands down the best place to get meat in the whole city. They pull stuff from their local farm, raised right, and delicious. Im talking orangey melt-in-your-mouth fat on steaks and appropriately-sized chicken (not those distended water-and-salt stuffed broiler chickens from grocery stores). The bacon is good, the pork is good, the lamb is good; Its just all good. They offer 15% off for veterans discounts and on Mondays you can get 20% off basically anything frozen. You can custom order. I just cant stress how much better your quality of food will be to eat here. They are also one of the only places here where you can get fresh-caught fish from all over the world. The fish selection is smaller than an actual fishmongers, but were not talking about frozen chain store cod with cornmeal. By the time my discount hits, or if I buy on specific dates, I get meat for the same-ish price as the organic stuff from the chain stores but that tastes infinitely better. I have ceased buying meat from basically anywhere else unless its a necessity.

We just happened to check this place out after getting coffee in a nearby shop. The selection and prices were very good. The service was friendly and helpful.

Meat in case looked delicious. Didnt have the ground veal i needed but they were helpful to order it in quick. I made the mistake of grabbing some of the center cut sweet double smoked bacon and now i wont be able to have any other bacon. Its maple sweet and smoky delicious.

Open the doors already. Several people in parking lot waiting for 10am to roll around. My bank has better hours. Customer service outside smoking a Cigarette...wouldnt let me in 10 mins prior to pick up a Turkey for Thanksgiving. Come back at 10am mentality just creates a queue when the doors open.

The prices are NOT on dis[play. i guess the sale rep names the prices based on the customer look (too high in my case).

The quality of the meat here is outstanding. From the seafood to red meat, everything is fresh and tastes fantastic in any dish we have prepared. The services from the staff is as good as it gets. They really take the time to learn what you want and will get it in stock if they dont have it.

First time shopping here...got some Faroe salmon....melt in your mouth...excellent salmon...will be back...thank you

Gary and his team really helped me out. I had called ahead and was told they had some ribs available. However when I got there they were sold out. Gary however found some for a future order and assured me they would have more in in time to backfill that order. He went above and beyond and saved me from having to go look for ribs somewhere else. He also had a whole chicken which I needed as well. This was my first time at Moody’s but it will not be my last. This is now my go to butcher shop.

My son loves this place, I enjoyed the chicken salad it’s yummy, me being only one that likes it (chicken salad) much better to buy a little than making to much at home . Everyone is friendly and helpful . Gotta check this place out for your BBQ s

The only place to buy meat in northeast Indianapolis.Folks are friendly and, most of all, know their meat prep.

There is a reason some places charge higher prices. Not all meat is the same! They have really good steaks, and seriously great sausages. It is not cheap, but they offer email coupons which help a lot.

We get all of our meat at Moodys, I absolutely love them. The difference in taste between their meat and grocery store meat is astronomical. Its always fresh and looks bright and healthy. They also have raw bones for my dogs!! Customer service is great and they also have lots of other local and artisanal products, including farm fresh eggs! The eggs are twice as big as any other eggs Ive ever bought, including organic free range eggs from the grocery store. And the yolks are a darker orange-yellow than regular eggs. You can just tell that all the chickens that made them eat well! I love knowing exactly what farm the meat comes and that the animals were treated well, instead of living in the horrific conditions of factory slaughterhouses. I am just so happy to have a local butcher like them, idk what I would do without Moodys!

Their selection is much less than I expected to find and prices seem to be about $1.00 per pound higher than other butcher shops. For the sake of Moodys, I wont post where to find better bacon OR better prices. Youll see when you walk in. Staff is also inattentive. Had to wait a couple of minutes to pay for one item.

It was a bit hard to find my 1st visit. The GPS went crazy. But the meat was great here.
