Feels like home away from home. Have all my hard scape needs. Same knowledgeable staff call me by name. They also have a large clearance area that rotates items from connecting pavers to steppers and larger items.

I ordered top soil--twice. As it turns out, this is not top soil but clay soil, full of weeds. Terrible quality and poor value. Also, when you order, they ask you when you want it delivered. I said morning and had a helper waiting with me for the soil to arrive, which finally happened around 2 pm. I had to pay my helper for hours of doing nothing. Will definitely not order from them again!They say its silt loam but the photos speak for themselves. Heavily crusted clay.

Signage is not great so this place is a little difficult to find but they have a great selection of stone and prices are reasonable

Good selection and good service but Im not pleased with the product delivered. I ordered 7 tons of 1-1/2 American Heritage and it was delivered promptly. I realize that this is not washed stone, but I believe the amount of dirt and rock flour in the load was excessive. The idea behind landscaping fabric and rock is too minimize weeds in your landscaping beds, but with the amount of fine material going on top of the landscape fabric it defeats the purpose. Im also paying for rock, not dirt.

This was my first time to order mulch and landscaping stone, so wasnt sure what I needed. Sheleece took my call and was incredibly patient (during what must be their busiest time of year) in helping me figure it out. When Alex made both deliveries (exactly when Sheleece had promised), he made sure he knew where I wanted it on the apron of my driveway. He couldnt have placed it more precisely if hed used calipers. Really great service and excellent prices. I appreciate that they dont treat you like a dummy if you dont know all the lingo. Additionally they will let you come load your own vehicle, which is great for the DIYer. Delivery was relatively cheap for quantity as well, which was a life-saver for some landscaping we did.

This is my go-to place for landscaping materials. Good selection of stone, gravel, boulders, sand, base course, topsoil & mulch. And much more...You can get a little or a lot, load it yourself, get help on site, or have it delivered. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They even handed out free bottles of ice water on a particularly hot & humid day. Nice people!

Excellent service here, better prices! I have spent way more on cool pavers, steps, and stones than I thought I ever would. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The owner instantly impressed me with her passion. Its a busy place, but I got what I needed, and my landscaping looks so much better now! Between the service and the selection, I dont think it gets any better around Madison.

Top notch service with a family atmosphere, if they dont have something on site theyre incredibly expedient in getting it to you. Always friendly and on top of current trends and materials. And you can always count on John to tell you when you parked in the wrong spot when he loads your truck. I highly recommend them.

Got some soil delivered, but I do not believe the amount I asked for was delivered. About 0.5 cubic yards too little. I measured the raised bed garden dimensions that I needed to fill and my personal measurements matched the stated measurements from the manufacturer (was a kit), so I know my measurements were correct. I then input those L, W, and H dimensions into a website that converted to cubic yards, so I know my stated cubic yards was correct. I ordered enough soil to fill the garden to the top and then have a little extra, but after using all the soil delivered, the soil was still 5 inches from the top. Since I know the measurements were correct and I used a website to convert to cubic yards, I have to believe the error was made when measuring the soil into the delivery truck.Giving 3 stars and not 1 because customer service when ordering was very responsive and delivery was quick and the truck driver was very nice.

I had a bad experience with this family owned business. The son is allowed to treat customers with an attitude, completely unprofessional and disrespectful.

I checked out flag stone steppers for a fire pit/ patio and found the perfect rock for my project (calico steppers) back in August. I went back a month later knowing what I wanted and set up the order. Meghan was very helpful in setting up the order to have the stone and locking sand delivered. I marked the pallet that I wanted with tape so that they could pick it for delivery. I received a call from Meghan letting me know that some how the tape was removed and they were unsure of which pallet was mine. We discussed approximately where it was located and she set up the delivery for the next Monday, which I live in Cross Plains and it was only $40 for delivery (great value). I knew right away when I saw the truck pull up that the pallet was not the one I had picked or stone had been removed after I had marked it. I informed the driver right away and he was very courteous letting me know the would send another pallet to finish the project with no delivery charge. He also gave me some great advise in the application of the locking sand. I come to find out that the driver is the owner of Midwest Decorative stone. I ended up ordering additional stone to expand on the project and I cant rave enough about the customer service. This is the first review Ive ever written for a company. I really appreciate the extra mile they went for me, even though I was not a very large order you made me feel like a valued customer.Thank you,

Very helpful while looking for landscaping stone to replace mulch. Prices were reasonable and the surprisingly inexpensive home delivery saved a lot of hassle that I would have had to deal with if I had gone with a big box store. Ill definitely keep these guys in mind if I need to do more work around the yard.

Genuinely helpful for the patio project I want to DIY - didnt make me feel less of a customer than a professional. Answered my questions about all aspects of the project, not just the aspects they would provide materials for. Prices are good too! I will update the review if I use them for the project.Updating to five stars. The project went well and the staff was incredibly helpful at all stages of work. My stove was delayed in being shipped, but they were able to get it delivered the same day they received it.

Called several days in advance for Saturday morning delivery and was told I was on top of the delivery list. They opened at 8 am but it is now almost noon and I was just informed my order is being loaded now...very unimpressive delivery scheduling. In addition, I ordered soil and rock and they are charging me for them to deliver each of these on separate trucks. The reason is they dont want the rock to get muddy if it rains; however, they dont make soil deliveries if its raining. Sounds like an easy $40 to add to my bill. Ill be looking elsewhere next time.

Excellent for the D.I.Y. We have used Deb & Pauls landscape supply business-Midwest Decorative Stone & Landscape Supply for over 7 years for our own yard. They are very helpful. Little by little we have built up our yard and it is simply beautiful with decorative boulders and pavers. This isnt for the light at heart hard landscaper, they do not supply flowers etc etc this is no nonsense. To make sure you do not look like a novice, you pick out what you want, make sure you have your measurements, make sure you weigh your vehicle first and then you are off. For more products, go into the office they will explain what to do.
