We just recently moved to Florence and our home needed all new flooring. We went to several different places before going to McSwain Carpet & Floors. When we walked in the door Lisa was so friendly, professional and extremely helpful. She went above and beyond the call of customer service. We purchased all of our flooring from Lisa at McSwains and highly recommend asking for Lisa when you walk in. You wont be disappointed. They have a great product and many choices for any budget.
We recently renovated the first floor of our house. We worked directly with Billy Miller. He made great recommendations on the hard wood floors and carpeting we ultimately purchased. Very knowledgeable and professional. The installers were also timely, professional, and cleaned up everything when they were finished! I would definitely recommend Billy Miller and McSwain Carpets and Floors on Mall Road.
Thank you Bill Miller for your great service and pricing.Alex and his installers were on time and completed the job quickly and with great accuracy. My wife and I would recommend McSwain for all your carpet needs. Contact Bill Miller. He is outstanding and knowledgeable.
Thank you McSwain Carpets and Bill Miller for your outstanding service and dedication to our home. We received incredible service from the installers. They were on time and completed the job quickly and properly. I recommend McSwain for all your carpet needs. Contact Bill Miller. He is outstanding and knowledgeable.
Needed a small amount of carpet to match existing for a closet remodel and they were able to quickly source and squeeze in my job to coordinate with my contractor schedule. Awesome customer service - and closet looks great!!
Edit: Its important for people who see this review to realize that after McSwain replied to my review and overall bad experience, they have not attempted to help remedy the situation. My home was only 5 months old when the carpet started tearing and regarding the carpet padding - a technician came to my home (keep in mind I had to come home from work for this), he said I dont have enough carpet padding in my truck to do this, we will have to come back., and McSwain has not even addressed the carpet-tearing issue. A simple sorry this has been a bad experience, your carpet should not feel/look like this after such a short period of time. We would like to correct this would have spoke volumes, but it didnt happen. The quality all around is really bad. Since they partner with Fischer Homes, they are who installed the flooring in my house. Where the carpet meets the vinyl is torn in multiple areas and the vinyl planks have gapping, not to mention the carpet padding has a ton of really rough spots that feels like there’s a rock underneath the carpet. I do NOT recommend using McSwain.
I would recommend McSwain to everyone. From the first contact with Supervisor Billy Miller to the last detail, everyone was courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They sanded & stained 3 of my hardwood floors. The floors look amazing!
The in-store selection assistance was very helpful and the installers were efficient & pleasant.
Mcswain was very helpful in helping me pick out and order my Armstrong luxury tiles. Order came in a week once placed.
This will be LONG.Let’s start with what helped get up to 3 stars: the jobs are done, as far as I know they were done well, the quality and selection of materials is great, and overall- the process was done in a respectable amount of time (about 5 weeks start to finish). And for the rest of the experience... there were SO many minor inconveniences that added up to a lot of frustration. To start, being told you’ll be called the following day to get on the schedule for installation, waiting 3 days before I decide to follow up, then being told “oh yeah, so and so likes to have the physical orders in their hands before scheduling.” Then why was I told it would be the next day? Next- we were told to pick up the toe board for the laminate floor and paint it to match our baseboards. No problem, we did exactly that. Except on the day of the install (which, BTW, they did NOT call with an ETA but rather showed up unannounced), THEY DIDNT EVEN USE THE TOE BOARD THAT WE PAINTED. It sat in that room and was left there. Why’d we make the trip out and spend time painting it if they weren’t going to use it? THEN- when I called to check that we wouldn’t be charged for extra toe board I asked when I would be charged for the job that was done that day and was told it wouldn’t go through until the entire job was done (carpet was scheduled for the following week). 2 HOURS later I was charged. Luckily I had that money in my account even though I was told it wouldn’t be taken out yet.And for the carpet... there was some MAJOR misinterpretation of the pre-installation checklist. I was verbally told contradictory things from what was written and while ultimately the refusal to do the job that day was my fault for not complying to the list, NOTHING was emphasized or stressed in the confirmation call the week prior. Again, ultimately my fault but could’ve been avoided with better customer service. Then when I was told to wait for them to call me, I knew I’d be waiting DAYS for that so I called to reschedule. Was told maybe it could be tomorrow, maybe it would have to wait 3 weeks. I said fine, just let me know which it is. Four HOURS goes by before, again, I call back to follow up. Thankfully it got done the following day, this time they called, and got the job done well. Bottom line: I felt like if I wanted anything done in a timely manner, I had to be the one to call and request it. So many times. Glad the job is done, but would not do again.
We are quick to find flaws, but never that fast to compliment! Went in to check for steps carpet, found 3 people before me, but Lisa Ryan didn’t hesitate to welcome me and ask me politely if she could show me the way meanwhile she finishes with other customers. It wasn’t 3 minutes before she stepped away from desk and showed me some samples! Then 4 more couples get in, the same smile and welcome to all! I left store, told her bringing wife back, then back in store, she managed by herself to assist everyone in store! We decided with her help, and did purchase! She is friendly, helpful and very patient! Great job, and thank you for a wonderful extra!👏👍🏼❤️
I spoke to Jeff and he educated me about carpet options. It was a pleasant buying experience.
We recently went through a home renovation process. Our floors were a huge undertaking for us as we had our entire first floor, second floor and two sets of steps to refinish! Billy Miller was incredibly thorough from the first measurement all the way to the end of the project. The team of guys handling the sanding and refinishing were awesome! I appreciate the instant communication and the fact that there were no surprises. Very impressed and happy with our floors! These guys did a great job!
We love our new carpet. Our basement is so much cozier now! Billy Miller helped us make the perfect selection for our budget. The installation crew was very courteous and professional and left the room in great shape. We were so happy with it, we decided to add two additional rooms.
Had a great experience with David in purchasing some carpet a couple days ago. One of the things I appreciate most in a purchasing experience is whether someone is trying to sell me on something vs. educate me on my options. David was definitely the latter and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need - he was simply there to help me acquire what I wanted. I needed to match my carpet that I already own in my home and David did just that! We matched it and he even gave me a sample from his sample board to be sure that it matched (which it did). I ended up purchasing 800 sq ft of carpet. We had great communication and I would highly recommend McSwain to anyone looking for carpet for their home.
McSwain fulfilled all expectations -from our first visit to installation. Billy Miller was great to work with. He communicated well and followed up to make sure the installation went well. The installers were excellent at their trade. We are very pleased with our new carpeting.
Lisa Ryan McSwain Florence KY) has provided outstanding assistance in providing flooring for our home. She understands the way the carpet will be used in the rooms, and has made very helpful and accurate recommendations for the best option for our lifestyle. We could not be happier with her service, and recommend her and McSwain to anyone who is looking for flooring and sound advice.
There ok
The sales people were very easy to work with and helpful in choosing my new flooring. The installers did a great job and cleaned up when they were finished.
Mcswain installed the hardwood flooring in my newly built Drees home. They did an absolutely horrible job. My floor creaks like it’s 100 years old and has terrible seasonal gapping. They made almost no effort to fix the problem other than sending a rude, condescending “expert” to tell me that all of the problems were normal. They are not. The installer violated the national hardwood flooring association guidelines 6 different times. I ended up attempting to sue both drees and mcswain but unfortunately for me the building contracts and arbitration clauses made a win unlikely. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere!!!!
My wife and I experience with McSwain Carpet was excellent. The sales associate we worked with was great. The installers did a great job installing our carpet. We highly recommend McSwain Carpet & Flooring.
The saleslady Ms King was outstanding and the installers were nice and did a very professional job
Great experience with McSwain! Bill Miller did an amazing job helping us find the perfect flooring to fit our needs. The installation went smoothly. They were on time and did a great job. I highly recommend McSwain for your flooring needs!
McSwain Carpet and Floors installed new floors in our house earlier this month. Billy Miller, the sales consultant, and the installers were great! It was a painless experience! Were very pleased with McSwain.
Have bought from McSwain in the past and am happy with the quality of the product. Installers were clean, careful and did a good job
Love my new flooring from McSwain. Sales associate, Lisa Ryan, always stayed on any snags( house has asbestos issue, which was unforseen) and keeping me informed. Will definitely use them in the future. Very professional installers and installation.
McSwain Carpets -- You can Depend on them. Years and years of dependable sales and installation. They sell the best and employ quality installers. As always, very satisfied with the carpet and installation on a recent room re-do. They try hard at customer satisfaction.
Exceeded expectations! From the moment upon entering store Mall Rd Florence the selection to choose from is enormous, every price range. Jeff the sales rep couldn’t have been more helpful, very patient and offered great ideas when trying to match up color scheme, etc...Settled for the CoreTec LV Planks The installers, terrific, on time, professional and clean. Amazing job installing the flooring, Absolutely Beautiful! Also used Costco Finance (same as cash) & will receive a 15% cash card!
I bought two carpet remnants for my home and its working out great. I would recommend my friends and family to shop at McSwain they also have friendly knowledgeable salespeople.
Very happy with our new kitchen flooring and the new carpeting throughout the entire house! We had great installers and a wonderful salesman, David Rosenstiel, who was a huge help with our decisions. His knowledge and expertise made this an outstanding experience!
David did an great job in walking me through the hardwood choice and installation process of my new flooring. I have been a repeat McSwain customer for over 30 years. Thanks McSwain for another outstanding job!
Flooring looks great. Very disappointed that I could not return unused material. I had 2 full boxes that were not used totaling almost $300. I was told they can’t be returned since they were special ordered (meaning it wasn’t kept in the warehouse). It’s the FIRST TIME I have ever experienced this. I will think twice before using McSwain in the future.
Quality carpet, willing to work with you on price. Ask for their best installer and be willing to wait.
Carpeting was excellent quality and at a reasonable price. Salesperson was knowledgeable and excellent. The installation process was efficient and well done.
We had friendly, professional service at McSwsin. David was great at communicating every step of the order process. Our rugs turned out beautiful.
My salesman David Rosenstiel did a great job in providing options and a great price! I was extremely satisfied with the finished job.
Brian was a lot of help
Two separate times we used McSwains. The first time was great. Good installers. The 2nd time...not so much. Installers are contracted out by McSwains. Could get someone good...might not.
Everyone is so friendly and price is seems fair
I went with Mcswains because they more expensive promised me that I would get guys that worked for Mcswains no subcontractors. Jeff Grome sales guy lied to me to get the sale. I had 4 days for install in Nov 26-29. I hired Interior Decorator to pick out kitchen floor, 2 bathroom floors and carpet for rest of house. First two days hard wood floors were done I asked if they could lay floors in 1/3 in kitchen they did not. They started laying bathroom in wrong direction I caught it early they fixed it. On second day I asked nicely why there were really short pieces in main walk way next to wall. The subcontractor told me that is was done correctly. My other contractor that was in house that was remodeling master shower told me that the subcontractor was lying and I said I know I read installation guide before they showed. Day 3-4 they the installed carpet that went a lot smoother except they damaged two door frames that I had to have replaced and rest repainted. My whole house was painted before the install of new floors. Mcswains picked up the bill for the damage doors which supervisor Matt saw when he came to my house to tell me that the whole kitchen floor would need to be torn out and redone. The short version it took Eight yes Eight more visits to get Kitchen floor installed properly. I had to paint clover leaf myself because they screwed that up three times. The final fun point was I had to have them tear out master bathroom floor and do that over and half of the secondary bathroom. This took three month to get done right end of January I would go with Buddys Carpet on Turfway the had cheaper prices and offered me their best installer if I waited five weeks which would have been better then Mcswains. These are just highlights!!
Purchased carpet for the steps leading down to my finished basement and was told that the ears on the sides of my steps would be covered. The cost of installation was almost as much as the cost of the carpet. The installer did not cover the ears as promised and left the cut edge of the carpet exposed instead of turning it under and stapling it down. Contacted the McSwain customer service who sent out the installer manager to inspect the work. The manager said we got what we paid for(installation cost $211 for 11 steps) and basically blew us off. McSwain has done nothing to correct the problem. Now Im concerned that the carpet will fray because the cut edges are exposed. Will never shop at McSwain again.
Avoid them at all costs. They will charge more than agreed, draft your account before finishing the job, take longer than expected to start and longer than expected to finish, and are the worst communicators I have ever had on a job.
Excellent service!
Very professional!
