The eye doctor was attentive, however the staff on the side where the script is filled for the eye wear rushes you. It caused me to pick a pair of glasses that not only was I not happy with, I hardly wore them, however noticed the frame became discolored. When I returned them the staff told me “ your skin caused the discoloration on the metal’ . I told her I rarely wore them, how could that be? She said that’s what happened and walked away rudely as if that was it, too bad, take your glasses and be gone. A definitely unpleasant experience! Also even though my insurance supposedly covered eyewear, they offer cheap ones but still cost me over $200 dollars.PS; a day later after posting this, I received a call from management that they would replace my frames. The lady was very cordial and I appreciated that my explanation about the frames were understood and new ones will be ordered for me as promised by her. Thank You.
The day of my eye exam everyone was very polite. Then I picked my glasses up. The arm broke 3 days later. When I returned to the store to see about fixing them the girl toled me it would cost full price again. Then recommended I go to Dollar General to see if I could find a frame that would fit my lens.
I havent had eyes checked by anyone in years. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and patient with me as Im sure I took longer than normal picking out my glasses....which I love!
Harrington vision center has the best customer service around. I’m always greeted with a friendly welcome when I walk in the door and the staff is so helpful. Highly recommend them!!
I was at this store two days ago for my annual eye exam. Every person in the store was polite, responsive, and showed sincere interest in serving my eye care needs. I am a professional pilot and have unique concerns. Dr McElveen listened carefully to my comments and asked questions regarding my work. Her attention to detail was exceptional. I felt she genuinely heard me. As for picking out new frames, every person in the store offered honest input because my wife and I disagreed on which color (yes, this is funny, but it is true). I walked away feeling that the people in this store genuinely care. I will be returning and I will encourage my friends and family to do the same.
I go here, because they accept my insurance. Everyone is very polite and helpful, but I had problems with my prescriptions and had to have the lenses made again. They also are not set up to send you a copy of your prescription. If you need one, you have to physically go into the office. They say they dont have an email setup and I guess they dont want to spend money on a stamp.
My husband and I found amazing customer service at this location. The staff is very friendly and also very helpful. We have left each time satisfied with the products and services that we received from this store.
My visit was very positive. Dr McElveen was very kind and thorough. She explained clearly what the problem with my eyes are and the course of action needed to help me. I felt Dr McElveen went beyond her call of duty to help me and it is appreciated. The manager and other ladies were great in helping me pick out my glasses. It was a positive experience all around. I have already told others to go there.
Harrington Vision Center (Cheves Street) is the worst!!!!!!! I called this office for help because I was a patient their and have been for some years. I accidentally broke my eye glasses during Hurricane Dorian and called them the next day to see what they could do for me. When I called them about 2pm yesterday, the office assistant asked my name and type of insurance I had. I asked her if they accepted my insurance and she said yes. She scheduled a 4 oclock appointment for me that same day. When I showed up for my appointment, the staff said they didnt take my insurance, turned me away and told me to have a nice day......HOW PATRONIZING!!! By then it was to late to check anywhere else for glasses. So I was stuck with no glasses, no solution and no apology. I will never recommend their services to anyone......not even my worse enemy.
Poor customer service. The big tall girl was more concerned with her cell phone than the customers. There were several people standing around waiting for someone to help them. The real short young girl stayed on the computer and never tried to help anyone. This place was not professional at all all the way from greeting customers to their unprofessional appearances. I am fairly new to the area, but clearly I have taken my business somewhere else.
Very disappointed! Called on behalf of my Lions Club in order to strike up a business relationship in which we sent clients to them for services and and the Lions club pays for the services. The manager wouldnt even come to the phone discuss this with me, but would only send word through the receptionist to say they had never worked with any Lions club and she wasnt interested. Just a note to people who care about community involvement and good will, this business obviously doesnt.
Your hours on google say open until noon on Saturdays. Might want to correct this since some people work hours that make it difficult to pick up contacts during the week. I just drove across town only to find out that you’re, in fact, not open. Don’t advertise one thing and then not stick to it.
I have been a glasses wearer for years and decided to try this place since it is close to my work. I was very happy with the eye exam and received my glasses later that same day. Needless to say, I have never seen better and they gave me an extra discount for working at McLeod. Thanks!
Appt time was roughly accurate. Examination was way more in depth than my last clinician. Frame selection is better than others in Florence. Friendly and helpful staff.
The staff and the doctor were nice. However, the doctor got my prescription COMPLETELY wrong. My left eye was prescribed a lens three times too strong. I didnt realize this until two years later, when I went to a worthy competitor (at the Belk end of the Magnolia Mall) and the fantastic doctor there put me in the right prescription. My eyes were damaged because of this.He also told me after my daughters exam that she could see perfectly, when in fact she was in desperate need of glasses. Also, their selection of frames is very poor.
Friendly helpful staff. have been going here for a few years now.
My son saw the doctor today he has ADHD and he was treated with kid gloves and I am so happy to know that I will be able to tell other people where they can take their young boys and girls who have this problem
Could not get the eye glasses right, two different Doctors gave me two different prescriptions . Will not use again.
Great people!!
