I was cheated by the SHOP on tires. I was billed full price when I have a national acct. I was tokd they would re bill it because there system was down to bill it thru the national acct. Robbed me of 800. Pure THEIVES and LIARS. Lots of choices in Florence go somewhere else.

I stopped to gas up my Harley today and had a temperamental pump, I went inside and spoke to the manager, who then called Dell from maintenance. What we need is more people like Dell. This gentleman not only took the time to resolve my problem, but also spent some of his long day to speak with me and make sure that my experience at this Petro was satisfactory .Customer Service is something that is a lost art, Not at this Petro, Thank You Dell... for making the rest of my trip home a good one

Sunday stopped for food restraunt closed fuel island closed. Used to be worth stopping at a gem of truckstop. But apparently like allot off the rest of them were aint worthy. Wont make that mistake again

Had to get a few things worked on..well Mr Ervin in the shop is one of the best. He not only took the time to listen to what I was saying and showing him but went well above and beyond to diagnose and fix the problem others couldnt. So if you have issues come in and get it fixed. However they are a busy shop so be prepared to wait but its worth it I promise!

Its like most Petros across the country. Theres a restaurant it is open doctor office chrome shop i believe,its kept cleaner then most.laundry rooms, game area,have theater but closed,have 2 wear masks unless in restaurant. Huge parking 4 rigs an a whole section jus for bobtails, little gated dog area no point not were for ur dog to really run its a tiny square.no u dont have 2 pay 4 parking I went inside about 1 am for bathroom. N drinks one person at front I was jus standing there watching the employee jus talk away to restaurant people y I waited for her or him whatever it wS stop talkingOther then that it nicely kept cleanBarber shop, pool table, drinks not much food in store,showers,fedex,postal service box, message. CHairs, clean bathrooms as well

Got here at 6:30pm on Sunday just to find out the restaurant closed at 3pm, if I would have known that I wouldnt have stopped. This will be the last time here, no reason why they should close that early.. lost business from me permanently.

Sunday afternoon 6:30 pm, stopped here to eat at the Iron Skillet, do laundry and get truck serviced. The restaurant closes at 6pm! Note to manager, 6pm is when most folks like to eat dinner. There were many of us truck drivers that showed up to eat. Its pretty sad when GA and SC Wal Marts wont let us park just to go in and buy groceries and now your restaurant wont stay open for us to eat in. This is the only Iron Skillet that we have been to that does not stay open until at least 10pm and opens at 6am. Not good management choices being made here.

Full service truck stop. Very clean overall. Showers rooms were very nice....no issues at all. Several washers and dryers, barber shop (limited hours), massive parking area, workout room, etc.....couldnt ask for more.

The black female cashier wants you to pay more, so check you recite-we said we get hot water in our cups, she still charged us $2.39 for each of the 2 cups!!! Why??? If you don’t trust-we can show the inside of the cup and don’t you see how old our cups!!!

Thanks to all the good people at Florence s c petro. Super job short time in bay.I had no a.c.. been trying everywhere between Florida into Carolina up into Georgia. No tech or days to fix. Damn good kid. If I have issues on the roadYou can bet Ill be there. Thanks again

Pretty decent place, but nothing to write home about.

Worst experience ever.After driving an 11 hour shift, with no food all day came here for dinner.Sat in the iron skillet over an hour and a half, watching one customer after another come and go, never received my dinner, finally I had to get up and leave to try to at least get some sleep before my 10 hour break was up.Several customers had verbal arguments with the cook yelling back and forth.The whole staff at this store should be fired.Complete mismanagement.Will never come back here again.

Stay away from the restaurant the food isnt good its overpriced and the waitresses all they care about is talking with each other and ignoring the patrons.

Wow! This place is great! Stopped here going from Florida to Massachusetts. Needed gas and a clean bathroom. Bathrooms are very clean, store is open and stocked well. Gas is wicked cheap. People were incredibly nice. ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE was wearing a mask. They even put a mask on a cardboard cut-out of Chuck Norris! Nice work!

Odd hours for the restaurant & barber, but otherwise top notch!

Do not get any service done here. I called in 9hrs before I got to the store to have my trailer brakes replaced. Waited an hour and a half, got pulled in then was told they didnt have any brakes and wanted to upcharge me to have some delivered. Bad business. This is why I dont do business with TA/PETRO.

Paid over $400 to get PM done, my truck (DD15) and I got a permanent scar... as well as scare.Guy worked on my truck tried to put on water separator without the rubber gasket (ring) around the filter. He replaces all the fuel filter and oil filter at the same time, without priming the engine he asks me to start the engine. When I refused to crank the engine in horror, his co-worker (another tech) comes over and starts F-bomb raid and verbal assault on me because I refused to start the engine.Where did TA/Petro find people like this to ruin your truck?

This place has gotten bad. Make sure you eat between the hours of 11:00 and 1700 because if you come after that time you wont get anything after that time

Had one of the nicest and cleanest bathroom stops I’ve ever seen on the road. And I’ve driven to Alaska so trust me, I’ve seen road bathrooms and this was so nice I had to show the world by writing this review which on its own is pretty weird. THATS HOW NICE IT WAS.

I arrived at the shop 10:45 PM and asked to get 2 new tires put on my truck. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and then she came back out to tell me I had to wait until the next shift came in. There were 4 guys working at the time and no one wanted to do their job. Poor service I wouldnt recommend anyone who is on a timely schedule to stop here.

Specifically stopped here at 3:15 pm to get a much needed haircut... Barbershop was closed... total waste of time

Food was good, service was very good. Drink refills was done in a timely manner. Was greeted & received service immediately after I sat down. I stop here at least once or twice a week. The fuel is good price compared to surrounding states. Usually no wait to fuel either. Coffee area usually clean & well stocked. Plenty of parking. All in all a good truck stop with about everything a driver could want.

Went to rest only 3 customers n sat down freaking waitress walks by me a few times n after 10 minutes looks at me n tells me its going to be a few minutes 20 minutes later still waiting so I left that old fat waitress is rude n unprofessional Imagine when full of customers

Visited the barbershop/salon inside the Petro. Clean facilities, cute restaurant, interesting knife shop, and etc.

Without iron skillet restaurant Ill rarely stop here anymore, Ill go to TA in Florence where theres food choices. I just needed shop repair only reason I went last night. Plus showers are always available and clean. But please open iron skillet, being closed still is ridiculous

Worst experience at a fuel island bad news for truckers

Wow this place is great if you are just a 4 wheeler passing through! Drivers should all just stop filling up at petro and ta.. they shut the restaurant down and the manager Robin went home at 3:30 in the afternoon so that she wouldnt have to listen to us whiney drivers about not having a hot meal. Shut these people down stop buying there fuel!!!!!!!

Lots of semi truck parking, food was delicious.Plenty of room at the fueling area.Truck wash next door.Everyone working here was friendly.Clean inside and out.Nice place.

Called the inside store at 5:30 am, to ask what time the restaurant open, all I ask if they were serving breakfast, in a rude and hateful answer, she said they open up at 11am. I dont mind getting an answer, but not in a rude and hateful manner. This is not the only truck stop around, I dont have to put up with such behavior.

Im really getting tired of seeing Petro and TA iron skillet and country pride restaurant closed when it clearly says 24hrs EVERYWHERE! Instead of changing the road signs out lets post maintenance signs at the entrance. This sux being in a rental and running the night lanes all to avoid the steering wheel,middle lane,dont look out the mirror guys that someone give them a CDL because they went to a truck driving school.

This place has gotten so bad you fuel and not only will they not print a fuel receipt they flat-out ignore you that some employees they are hiring here

If I could give this restaurant a -5 stars, I would. My husband and I just had the worst breakfast we can remember. The service was incredibly slow in getting the food to the table, like 20 minutes, and when it got there it was both undercooked and cold. Fried eggs over medium isnt gourmet cooking. The egg whites were still clear and snotty whites were pouring out as soon as I put a fork to it. The eggs were already cold. Obviously been sitting there a long while. The bacon was half cooked, also cold. Home fries usually come with some flavor. They must have left that part in the kitchen. Waitress was among the missing. Im thankful that its nearly impossible to screw up hotcakes or I would have gone hungry paid $24 for a piece of cold, half-toasted toast. Skip this exit and go to Cracker Barrel 4 miles south!

I havent been to a Petro in years, so I was shocked to see how good their breakfast choices were (in the fuel island store. I didnt go into the Petro proper). Smoked sausage, sausage gravy, corned beef hash...I was amazed. Who knew?

Nice place to park for the night, but seems petro and TA have pretty much given up on food. Make sure you have food on your truck.

Watch the shop and make sure you get quotes before they start. I called ahead to quote a tire and when they was finished it was 70.00 more than quoted. Then I get on the phone getting itemized bill. They told me they are like we put this tire on that was almost 100.00 more. Come to find out they put the correct cheapest tire on and tried to charge me for a different tire that was 100.00 difference. I mega company would have paid and went on.

Highly recommend for all travelers cuz this place has everything u need and dont need. I highly recommend 4 everyone traveling to wherever. Ladies, they even have a hair salon, movie theater along with a laundry center 😉👍

Great and clean truck stop. Plenty of free parking.The buffet is my only complaint. Let it run empty and dried out food.$15 for a buffet and the food is pitiful. I see why the full service restaurant in Petro and TA are going to fast food. The restaurants are over priced and the food quality has went down hill.

Was going to get a PM oil change was told it would take 2 hours 30 minutes (Great) Tina in the shop called me I was told to pull to bay 3 so I did. Next thing I know the mechanic comes out with a bad attitude yelling at me bay 4 very mean spirited. Very unprofessional. Left will not get service at petro TA again

Your employees need to train for customer service at Loves or Pilot and Flying J. Rude and unkind, unfriendly. Truck stop lanking; Loves> Pilot, Flying J>TA, Petro. Thats why they open new shop every month. Your truck service takes more time and more burden.

Why do you charge local truck drivers $100 per month to park their vehicles in your parking lot when they are the people that continue to help you remain in business? Everyday there are tons and tons of vacant parking spaces and empty land available for them to park on, so that reason you give them as to why you have to charge them is dishonest. Honor and appreciate the men and women truck drivers that have honored and appreciated you and have been a financial blessing to you over many years! Please reconsider your decision. If you still choose to charge them a fee that is your decision to make, but can you find it in in your heart to reduce the amount you charge?

Had little items but good service and clean restrooms

Youd think that if you buy over 600.00 in diesel you could get 2 free drink refills and a shower for free. Not sure what the deal is with that, but had to buy drinks at the fuel desk, then have the clerk put a shower on the card to get the code. It was a hassle. Then the bathrooms werent clean. Anyway, it was the first time I have ever been to the Petro and got parking without any problems. Good luck and be safe

Spent 2016 Labor Day weekend here ... Its comfortable, with sofas in the hall and a great movie theater (lots of free movies to choose from). Had lunch at the restaurant 3 days in a row, and most of the time the lunch buffet was excellent. Parking lot is much bigger than at the nearby Pilot and TA (x. 164). 5 stars!

Well it happened again another very satisfied visit to a Petro Iron Skillet Restaurant I am on a roll this is like five in a row!! However it was midnight and I was on my 30-minute rest break but my server Donnethia was fantastic what a super nice lady, I asked her to prepare my blackened chicken and sauteed vegetables to go and I ate my salad while I was waiting and everything timed out just perfectly so I highly recommend this Petro to anyone out there listening!!! Had only choices from a limited menu, but everything from the soup and side salad that came with the meal was delicious!

Stopped for PM service. Given 1.5 hr wait time 4 hrs later and 6 trucks later gave up. This is the second time this particular Peteo has done this. There wont be a third time. Ill just go to Speedco from now on. Must be the flavor down here.

There is a lot of good things I can say about Petro.. Your Family and you need to stop by and try some of their food.. The Truck Drivers might get mad with me for putting out their most hidden secret.. Its really for them, but take the Family anyway.. Find one close to you...

We had Iron skillet for lunch I ordered NY strip dinner and the steak was tough and had absolutely no flavor. I told our server and all she could say was hmmmm. That weird they normally season them. The salad and the soup was the best part on my meal. I brought my steak home for my dog.

I came to shop to get trailer repair was told it would be a hour. Waited 4 hrs. It was only one truck in the shop other 3 bays were empty. The technicians were all standing around the lobby. I guess they didnt feel like working. Bad business.

Im a travel nurse all over the country by myself and I often eat alone. I enjoy coming to this place and sitting at the bar area where the truck driver sit because the conversation is always interesting and engaging. The food is fair to good dont order the eggs they cook them too hard too fast theyre scorched

This use to be such a great Restaurant. Had the buffet at 4 pm and there was no food on it. Everything was empty. I asked when they would fill it so I could eat. The food they put out was all dried out. I was charged for it but didnt eat anything. Corporate Petro food is disgusting. Have they ever even tried the green bean casserole? Such a shame this fabulous little mom and pop place turned into garbage.

Clean efficient gas prices are great get these large Fountain drinks for 99 cents how many huge fountain drinks has all kinds of different things in there has hot dogs has fresh donuts sandwiches break for truck drivers also if youre not great hurry this is the voice to go

One of the better Petrol. Plenty of parking, and good food. Barber shop, like store, laundry, store is small, but they have almost everything I needed.

This review is in regards of the Petro shop. I have a carhauler needed an air bag replaced on the driver side rear of my trailer. Labor was $120.00 which was fair. No complaints on the mechanic he was great. No problems at all. My issue was that they charged me $293.00 for the airbag which at freightliner the part was$ 145.00 or at this Pee dee trailer was $180.00. So Petros part mark up value was over 60 %. This is straight robbery. I Will not come here give them my money. Be aware of this shop their % part market value is a rip off. They over price there parts over 60% mark up.

I gave this place 5 stars because of the truck shop. Their tech are very capable in truck repairs. Art was one of them. Not only did he do a good job repairing the A/C issue I had with the truck I was driving, but he was very confident in doing the work. Other TAs and Petros need more techs like Art.

Swapped trailers and went to the fuel island. The woman working the deli was very nice and helpful. She got my unusual order right and it tasted great. Thank you.

There is no more Sunday breakfast at the truck fuel inland any more, you will have to go the front bldg and get take out or dine in there, other then that always a great place to come to to rest and get showered up, at least for a truck driver

Used to be the Iron Skillet Was a pretty decent place to eat. As of late however I can honestly say there are only a handful of them left worth eating at. Dont know the reason for the decline but as a patron it really is irrelevant. Either youre good or youre not. Sadly the nots are winning.

Best Truck Stop On the East Coast. A Truckers Dream. Great place to stop for ANY travellers, not just Truckers.

Large parking lot, once you find your way in. Lighting on entrance makes it difficult for first time visitors to find entrance to truck fuel and parking. Of course the road construction in front doesnt help. Maybe the street lighting will change with the completion of construction. Rare that I pass this way, but will provide an update when construction is finished and hopefully have more time to check out the main store.

Every other ta/petro on the east coast has a price for just salad bar or soup bar but not this dump in other words it is 10 bucks for a single salad because you have to buy soup and salad what a scam.I used to stop every week but I wont ever spend another dime there.

Overall great place the food is always fresh . ton of parking space too
