My concerns were addressed and the process was put in motion. Once the headstone was completed I was notified when it would be installed. Everyone I spoke with at this company was nice and caring. We were so excited to learn we were going to have our first grandbaby. Our daughter just glowed. We began helping her make plans; you know the ones that involve painting a nursery, looking at nursery themes, shopping for furniture, strollers, car seats, and cute clothes. Everything had to be perfect. When pink balloons emerged from the carefully decorated box, we were overjoyed. But weeks later, the doctor discovered there was a problem. Our baby was underweight. Development was delayed. Worry and uncertainty was a part of every conversation. Our daughter was in and out of the hospital, and we prayed she would make thirty weeks. It was not to be. Our Baby Kate could fight no longer. She was born sleeping September 28, 2019. Time seemed to stop.We contacted Brown Memorial to honor our precious Baby Kate. Because of pandemic restrictions, the headstone was created and finalized through phone contact and email. Bran Oswalt, the designer, took copies of Baby Kate’s foot prints and a hodge-podge of our ideas and drawings to create a beautiful memorial. There is a sadness that accompanies the task of selecting a memorial. Initially that sadness was compounded as I had contacted another monument company in a town close to Florence only to find them unresponsive and seemingly uncaring when I did receive a reply. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Thank you Will Brown and Brown Memorials for the exemplary fashion in which you handled all aspects of my purchase. You graciously made time to meet with me without an appointment and every subsequent contact by phone or email the responses were timely, professional and demonstrated genuine desire to help me. Lois talked with me several times to arrange installation and she was absolutely wonderful. Picking out a monument for a loved one isnt on most peoples bucket list. However, should you ever be burden with that task, I highly recommend Brown Memorials in Florence, South Carolina. From the moment that we entered the showroom and until the day that the stone was installed we were treated very kindly, the process was made as easy as possible and our total satisfaction was the end goal. We have used Brown Memorials twice, once for my grandparents monument over 53 years ago and now for my parents.
