We had a really sweet experience at Alabama Music. As a Tanner Band alumna, I try to help my high school band in any way I can through volunteering with my time and money. I took one of my band kids here to the UNA campus for the Extravaganza, and our saleswoman was very sweet and knew our band director and we had a very nice connection. I do recommend this store to visitors.

Cool Music Store, great selection of sheet music, which is a rarity. Friendly & helpful staff too. They appear to be an Alvarez guitar dealer, which are great instruments, just not my brand. But, need a Uke? Or drum supplies, guitar strings? They got you covered with great prices.

I loved it! I came looking for a pair of marching band sticks and they let me try out the sticks until I found the right ones for me! I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back in the future!

Researched music stores that buy instruments. This store popped up among others. Called store. A woman answered. She was cold & rude. I inquired & she said No. Their competitor also confirmed that they buy instruments.

Performed for 6 years in marching band, jazz band,and concert band during high school, as well as spur of the moment garage bands and sit in drummer for my buds. alabama music was and forever will be my one stop go to place for anything music related, tips, gear,rental, or just a good ol personal tune up lesson. great selection and even better knowledgeable friendly people.

Service here is usually hit and miss. One day is fine, the next is worse.This store offers everything youd need for band (and some orchestra) including, but not limited to: mouthpieces, sticks, neck straps, lessons, practice pads, picks, amps, music books, cleaning supplies, and you can also (I believe) order instruments from a catalog.To save yourself a lot of time and some irritation pointed at you, try to have a closer idea of what you want instead of just saying I need reeds or I need drumsticks. You will have a much better time there if you do.The here or there aspect of the service as well as some questionable prices on a few items is the reason for my score. If you go in on a good day and dont mind the prices, by all means, this is a 5 star place.TL;DR: Whether youre a band director in need of some instrument repairs before band camp or you need some cool sticks for your mallet recital, Alabama Music has got your back. Just keep on the lookout for good service and bad prices (not saying that it always happens, probably just a fluke)Have a good day :)
