Very good higher-end book store. Great selection and music too! Great for those who like to browse before buying.
Called ahead and they had my book waiting for me. Guy on the phone was courteous and helpful knowledgeable. Girl at counter was nice also.
This is a great place to browse when you need to kill an hour or two while the old ball-and-chain is out trying on dungarees or buying a new uPhone or checking out the latest whositwhatsit. It’s a smaller footprint than the other B&Ns in the greater Sacramento area but what it lacks in square footage, it more than makes up for in atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.Pro-tip: books aren’t the only thing at this place worth checking out, irrespective of which direction your tastes run.
The best place to buy books. Staff is always friendly and helpful with suggestions for current titles.
Surprisingly alot in this Barnes and Noble store! Complete with the basic book store along with a Starbucks and a Cafe. Its one of the more affordable Palladio stores/restaurants. Although this BNs Starbucks is a little overpriced, if you have a membership card you get 10% off everything in the store! (the Starbucks and the Cafe included). Its has a wide selection of books that are frequently updated, along with a nice place to read in the Cafe. The Cafe also is a great study/date location. Foods good! Nice overall! (The membership card is 25$ so you have to come frequently to get good use)
Who doesnt love a good bookstore, Am I Right?! And this one has the added bonus of a Starbucks cafe and a small restaurant for noshes.
Good selection. Clean and modern. Nice, helpful staff. You can often find better prices elsewhere though.
Nourish your mind, eyes, ears, palate, and other senses at this beautiful strategically located treasure. Now that theres time enough at last for such mesmerizing titles, a man now wonders if he stars in a remake of that timeless series. There are so many incredible things here I want to read that I have to record them to remember them all. Crazy, Right?
The staff here is always super friendly. I have been ordering books for pick-up here for a while and the order is always ready within an hour and Im always in and out super quick. I recently started their membership to get the discounts on hardcover books, sale books, and the café. I went to the café for the first time and I just have to say that the gentleman who was working on 04/13/2021 around 05:02 PM deserves a raise. He was super sweet and friendly. I really like this location and all of the staff here. Never been in the store when it is busy, but I can imagine the service is the same.
Great place to relax, have a coffee & read a book🙂
Clean and modernized version of B&N; the adjacent cafe and kitchen make for a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Generous seating throughout the store, which is a rarity these days.
Very helpful staff. One book was out of stock so they are shipping it to my house for free. Great displays of books!
I may be bussed to this place simply because this is the spot where I went on a date with my partner. It has a variety of books. There’s also a Starbucks inside. Everyone is always helpful here and if you need help they have a desk area where you can ask for help looking for a specific book.
I always love a bookstore. But I was particularly pleased with this Barnes and Nobel location. It has an adorable cafe that looks cozy but is unfortunately not open due to COVID. The square footage here is a bit smaller than some Barnes and Nobles but the selection seems well-curated and high quality. As usual when Im in a book store, I found far too many things I wanted to take home with me, but I managed to exercise a little restraint.
Very spacious and inviting sitting area. I miss all the bargain books they use to have.
Nice to still be able to go to a book store😊 still good selection of books but somehow it doesnt seem like it used too. Still found what I wanted 👍
Didnt have the latest magazines in stock. Was a bit disappointing. Otherwise great store
Ive been going to the Arden location for years but I really like this Barnes & Noble. Great location in the Palladio. Their books are laid out differently than the Arden location but still logical enough to figure out. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The restaurant and cafe are excellent but thats a topic for another review.
Gdaughter found her book series, not much in the music department. Nice size Sci Fi section.
They had a very wide selection. I spent a considerable amount of time holding myself back from purchases exceeding my budget. They also have great, but limited, Studio Ghibli merchandise for any collectors/enthusiasts.
So nice to be able to go into bookstores and just wander around until you find an interesting book to read.
This is quite honestly one of my favorite places to shop. Barnes & Noble has such a wide variety of books, causing me to have the (good) problem of having 20 books to be read but still buying 2 more. The atmosphere at this specific location is very airy and spacious, and it is very clean and organized. There is also a cafe with some great food options. Its a place that I love to study at, spend free time, or search for my next great read. The customer service is impeccable; they never fail to answer my questions or offer a good book suggestion. I look forward to visiting again sometime soon.
Clean most of the time but gets bit messy when busy.
Its a very Good store. Helpful staff. Parking not great, especially as all the ones in front are designated for curbside pickup .
The woman knew what book I was looking for.. a gift and took the time to show me where it was. This store moved from its previous location. It is a nice layout with a lot of room and light. There is a coffee area as well. Unfortunately, I didnt have time to check out the store.
Pretty cool place with books and graphic novels, highly recommended for people who enjoy reading and spending money on books.
Terrible workers, constantly pressured us (4 young girls) to adjust our peaceful working environment. Not polite or respectful at all, and closed off any outlets to prevent us for charging our laptops, without giving a reason why. I am deeply upset at the the male staff in the dining area, they are not polite in any way. One staff, after my friend accidentally spilled a drink on their couch, rudely told us that the couch was now ruined completely. We apologized, and when we went to check, the couch was completely fine. I would give this zero stars, but the book area staff are nice. So upset, and never visiting again.
I could spend hours in here. Cant wait until this pandemic is over and we are able to sit, drink coffee and enjoy looking for a good book
Super helpful staff and good selection of books
Nice place to walk around and look at different books. they also have a little Cafe inside for coffee and snacks
Really love this place! so cute!
Books and games, really do well to stay around in online order world
Nice, big, airy store with all the latest books. It no longer has the depth of selection that it once had, and the newsstand is a faint shadow of its former self.
I love reading and I love spending time in a book store. Barnes & Noble makes it easy to do. Comfy chairs to sit in while you compare items, a nice coffee shop. Nicely organized and laid out. Love going in when I have time, but prices are higher than you can get books online. However, if you love browsing, this is a great place!
This is my favorite spot to escape. I love going in the restaurant and the waitresses and waiters always seem to have a good feel of when you want to be left alone to read and when you need assistance. Theyre avocado toast is to die for and with a glass of wine after a long work day over a good book... Who can beat it?
Love it here!
I enjoy this store. It has a wide selection of books and great gift ideas. The staff us always pleasant and helpful.
Very friendly helpful employees. Didnt care too much for the layout, and it was small, but all bookstores are awesome. It is in a nice open air shopping center
Amazing selection, extremely kind and helpful staff, clean and spacious environment.
Super quiet, many many books, and super friendly staff!
We always have so much fun here! Whether inside or out! There is a great kids area with an awesome LEGO table. Fantastic selection of books and really great cafe and restaurant. Prompt and kind service. Always so kind to the kiddos!
Clean, quiet, and cozy. I just enjoy coming here to read on my days off and it is very relaxing especially since they also have a coffee shop. Cant wait to go back soon!
The Folsom Paladio is nice!
Cafe is good and indoor setting is really nice as well
Old people, like me, be warned!! This place has all the things you want AND all the things you didnt know you wanted. The store is well organized and staffed by friendly folks. Can never seem to get enough of this place!
Big, open, clean store. This location also has the new restaurant feature where you can have a nice dinner and some wine with a book. Definitely going to be coming back!
Love this place! A book lovers paradise. Parking leaves a little to be desired. Staff is always ready to jump in and help with all your book needs. They are knowledgeable, and if they cant answer your book questions, (which is very rare) they will find someone who can. I highly recommend this Barnes and Noble. I could easily spend my whole paycheck there!!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Nick, Steven & Eric for a private event. There professionalism and attention to detail alone were amazing, however, the food and service was exceptional! I highly recommend if you are looking for a larger group space.
Always clean, quiet, and there are lots of friendly people. The bathrooms are single room lock and key like God intended, and there are plenty of them so you wont need to wait. Great store to kill some time or find a book
Its a Barnes and Noble. What more do you need to know? The staff was helpful and I found exactly the book I was looking for. The parking isnt easy to make this a quick stop. You are going to have to walk to find this place after you park, so bring some bread crumbs!
Love the cafe
Awesome service, even 10 minutes before close!
Beautiful book store with a wide selection of books. I especially like their business section. Lots of great stuff there.
This place is AMAZING and one of the best ones I’ve been to. It wasn’t crowded at all, I didn’t have to wait in line, and they actually have a restaurant! I was very pleased, I found exactly what I was looking for. I can get lost in there forever.
So happy to have a Barnes & Nobles near us! I miss bookstores and am so happy to have one! I love books and Barnes & Nobles and Borders were my favorites. Glad to have this one still around! This Barnes & Nobles is beautiful with a cafe !
It is a good book store. Might want to check online to make sure you can get your book reserved. Also, the cafe is really good. Id definitely recommend visiting.
Yesterday I came in your store to buy a magazine. The cashiers name on the receipt was Donna. She went above and beyond the call of duty, in providing great customer service. She even smiled when she rung up my transaction!
Great place. Amazing selection of books. Real clean, friendly employees. Bad side is very hard to find a parking spot outside the store, but you can park and walk short distance. Has a restaurant with pretty good selection.
Go for the books, stay for the food. Well... when the cafe is open.
I love coming to Barnes and Noble. Coming from a time before Amazon it is great walking in to a book store and getting the fresh book smell. All the Employees are very nice. I was asked if I needed anything within minutes of walking in. We were just browsing this time but in the past the didnt have what I needed and the store employee took her time to call the other stores to see if they had what I needed. We have stopped by this location in n the past before a movie started and had a nice glass of wine to relax and waste some time.I highly recommend coming to this Barnes and Noble. Clean, relaxing and great atmosphere.
This location is entirely different from any other B&N Ive been to. It is quite open, clean, organized, and has a well appointed cafe. It even has a wonderful resident dog (extra point 😉) and helpful staff. So why only four stars from me? To me a book store should have lots of book shelves, be cozy (but not cramped or cluttered), and inviting. I didnt feel that way here. Its like modern Scandinavian furniture - clean, functional, and without frivolous ornamentation. But that can also be taken as sterile and souless. Thats the way I felt here. This review really is purely based on my personal feelings and should not prevent you from checking it out yourself.
Ive been to this place a few times. Very nice selection of books, however it is smaller than other local barnes. This one however Also has a nice place for young children/toddlers to read/play. Great environment as well. Friendly and courteous staff as well.
Our B&N at the Palladio is a great place to hang out, browse, have coffee or a meal. A great selection of books. Good food. Small menu, but that is fine. We are happy to have them in Folsom.
Always lovely staff and great atmosphere.
I dont really believe book stores are good places to buy books but if you are the sort of person that goes to book stores, this is a great example of one. The cafe is noteworthy and it has a huge selection and a nice open feel. I didnt eat at the cafe but it looked quite nice. And of course i didnt buy a book, because they cost like 20% more at retail stores. Anyway, it is really nice store at Palladio which is a great shopping center.
I love this place! My 18 month old does too. She will run around looking at all the books and extra stuff. Shes another bibliophile in the making with this place. Plus, you can walk around with beer or wine or coffee or other drinks! Awesome.
Everything about Barnes & Noble is great. The restaurant is superb. Mouthwatering meal, wine, dessert. Dont pass it up!
This is probably my favorite place to relax in public. Open and pleasant environment. When its not a peak time you can find seating pretty easily, and the restaurant food is delicious. Bookstore staff and wait staff are super friendly and helpful.
Love books. This place has everything
Can always get what I need.
The Barnes & Noble at Palladio is great! I love the integrated cafe/restaurant. Where else can you go to chill out, have a read, and grab a drink, snack or even meal at the same time? Not too many other places, thats for sure. I sure hope B&N is able to keep brick and mortar bookstores alive and well!
I have always loved book stores, but this particular chain holds a special place in my heart because I use to take my kids here when they were really small for story time. As much as I love my phone, my tablet and my laptop computer. I just feel like those things are no match for an actual book! So happy Barnes & Noble is near me. If you havent gone to this location in Folsom, your missing out. Starbucks restaurant is a part of this store and its fantastic as well. The food and service were very good too!! Go check it out one evening youll be happy you did.
A nice, clean B&N nestled in the Palladio shopping center. Its part of the trend toward smaller shops, so dont expect a traditionally huge stand-alone store; the footprint is a lot smaller and therefore, so is the selection. You can still find a lot of titles, but not as much as youd find at a flagship store elsewhere. This B&N is definitely trying to be a community center of sorts, as it has a large, brightly lit coffee and wine bar integrated into the store with lots of seating. The atmosphere is just right for working for a few hours or getting started on your new purchase.
Ambience, ambience....this place rocks. Love its cafe that serves Starbucks drinks and snacks. The sofas and chairs are so comfortable I saw a few dads literally fell asleep. A great place to hangout with your kids.
Very limited selection of books, all things relative. You would do better in a used book store, and definitely online. Also Im not into the fact that they try to push books to you semicolon as Im not a big fan of reading the things that other people want to read or that are popular. However, if you do want to go mainstream with your thought process and your knowledge intake, this is the place for you.
Very clean, a wide variety of books. They used to have a handy book tracking device in the store, but for some reason they got rid of it, which kind of upset me, as Im not fond on interacting with people to ask about a book. Allows dogs, which I find nice!
We’ll organized book store with a very pleasant atmosphere. I was able to find hay I was looking for in less than 5 min and staff was available for further questions. Good service and great selection of books
Great store, I love books. But help is sometimes hard to find. And they reduced their calender section. Bummer, just the typical stuff now. But I like that I can buy a coffee and wander the isles
Beautiful store. Easy to navigate layout. The B&N Kitchen looked nice, although I didnt go over there. Staff was very friendly, and they had a large selection. Store was well organized.
Great atmosphere. Modern (just built, and it feels hip) with a mini restaurant inside. Staff was really helpful and happy to check stock in their back room when they didnt have the magazine issue I was looking for on their shelves.
Very impressive. Love the ambiance. Restaurant food looks delicious but rather pricey for a bookstore. Always enjoy Barnes and Noble - I love books not nooks!
Love the cafe
I really like this Barnes and nobles because theres a lot of seating. It’s a great place to grab a coffee and read a book. The lighting a great! It creates a very calm atmosphere. Staff is friendly. Also I was surprised to see all the cool notebooks they have! Seriously if you’re thinking about journaling look at there notebooks they look very cool. Another tip is if you’re running late on holiday gifts you can almost always find something there. They also have toys and card games. I few party card games from them.
I always find more than I need. Convenient location, very tidy and there is a fantastic cupcake place right across the street. Win!
Great spot to have a snack, coffee and study. Service is good, and after a long study sesh, beer is available to top off the experience. Book selection is a bit low, but their ability to order for you really opens it up. Highly recommend.
The store was bleak and not carrying a good selection. Kinda sad.
