I dont brew personally, but I make trips for my boyfriend when he needs something. Kell there is awesome. He knows exactly what is on my list, and if theres a question he knows what I can text my boyfriend to clarify. He also has foreseen items I would have otherwise needed to come back for. He has helped me carry my purchase out to my car and made sure the bottles I bought were packed safely in the trunk of my car. Excellent customer service and I like shopping there even when its not for myself.

The have a very wide selection of yeasts for all sorts of brewing. I dont rember the name of the staff member that helped me today but he seemed very knowledgeable and was able to answer every question I had as well as providing tips on various brewing methods. (Im attempting to brew wine with non traditional fruits).The new location needs a bit of work but as I understand it they moved to the spot recently and are still in the process of getting setup. Despite the lack of flashy marketing the organization and neatness of the current setup still makes for a professional looking establishment.Regarding price it all seems reasonable, obviously if you dig long enough on the internet inevitably you can find something for cheaper than a storefront but such is the nature of business. As their prices are fair I would rather support a local business and have access to the on hand expertise of the staff than relying on a faceless shipper.

The staff are amazing. Starting with bartenders to the guys in the back helping out with brewing supply. I made my first brew Erick Red and I could not have done it without the help of Brewmeiste staff.

Ive been brewing for over 40 years so Ive been in a few brew shops. These guys have always been helpful and happy to give advice when asked. Great selection for any grain bill, hops and yeasts required. Super easy to weigh and mill.

These guys are always helpful and its a rare occasion when they dont have what Im looking for. Their prices are competitive, even compared to online prices. I buy base grain by the 50lb bag and Brewmeister is where I get it because by the time I pay the shipping online I havent saved any money. My only complaint would be I wish they stayed open later but its certainly not their fault I start my brew day later than most.

I had a great time browsing the store and bouncing ideas off the staff. Very knowledgeable and had some excellent ideas that I put to use with my home brewing setup. I found the store well stocked with the usual brewing supplies and everyone was friendly and helpful.

So helpful! Worth the drive from Lotus. We went there to get the few items we needed to try our first batch of cider and the girl, (cant remember her name) took the time to tell us a few differences between cider and beer. I then had to call with a question that came up during the process and again, she was very helpful. So knowledgeable!

Now with Red Bus, this is my favorite place to grab a custom brew on a Saturday and shop for my own brew supplies. Good beer, good service, great knowledge about brewing.

I picked up a recipe kit Friday evening at the Folsom store. I think the kids name was Casey who helped me. He did a great job and answered all my questions and was able to make good suggestions on substitutes for stuff that they didnt carry. He was very knowledgeable about beer as well as the product they have in the store. He even kept the store open a few minutes past closing time to help me out

My first review, nearly a year ago read Helpful staff with a good inventory that covers most of the essentials for brewing. Since then, the main guy Kell has moved over to the brewery, and the remaining staff seems to never have a very clear idea about anything. Ive had yeast orders get mixed up, been called that something I ordered is in only to find out it isnt and the person there has no idea that I even had an order placed, called ahead to find out if they have something in stock (I live an hour away from any brew shop, and this is the closest), been told they have it, immediately drive up only to find out they didnt, they just thought they did because theres random hardware pieces on the rack... The last time I went they didnt even have a carboy in stock. And that was the one thing I thought they would never run out of. I get they cant stock everything all the time, but Im better off getting my yeast lost in the mail from an online supplier for a month (true story) than to drive up there again. Previously gave them 5 stars, but down to one until they turn it around.

Its hard to find specialty items as a homebrewer over the counter when in need, especially when you live very remotely like me. I stop by here on my way traveling through to pickup yeasts and other odds and ends. The selection is only limited to the industry homebrew standards and they are open seven days a week. No complaints here, thanks.

Rude and unhelpful employees. Adjunct grains are marked up 100%+, bulk grain 20-30%, and hops are often in excess of 300% markup over online retailers. Expect to be nickle and dimed for everything including grinding grain.This used to be a great local business and Ive been a customer for years but between the recently unbearable staff and high prices I have found online alternatives are better for price and service.

Great place working on third batch now. They help out w any questions. Homebrew outlet has better prices on some items but the owner is a dick

Local homebrew store in the back of a microbrewery. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. If its related to beer, wine or anything in between they are the go to gurus.

They have all the ingredients you would need as a home brewer and very knowledgable and helpful staff. Even when they dont have something in stock, they are willing to work with you. When I needed some clariferm and they didnt have any in stock they were only to happy to order it for me and call me when it came in. I cannot praise these guys enough, a true asset to the homebrewing community.

Used to be a great local business with friendly and knowledgeable staff. It have gone downhill considerably with terrible customer service and monopolistic practices.This company sources most of their products through MoreFlavor Ltd, who sources grain, hops and other basic supplies through a national supplier. Basic grains, hops and general supplies direct from MoreFlavor is 30%+ less then Brewmeisters. The markup Brewmeister applies on specialty gains is well in excess of 100% and MoreBeer is located within an hour of the greater Sacramento area, where Brewmeister operates. As an example, a 50lb sack of grain costs $30 through MoreBeer, $50 through Brewmeister.You are much better off using any of the available online competition for your homebrew needs and wont have to deal with one of their rude employees.
