As a life long comic collector I value service probably over everything else. I know I can get most of my collection by subscription, but I choose to keep coming back because of the excellent service. I also am impressed by the smart pivot they made during the pandemic to online auctions and such, continuing that was a smart business move. Highly recommend to new and old collectors.

Nice employees - answered all my young sons questions and took the time to show him examples. Cool merchandise even if youre not a comic book fan or gamer. My kid loves this store. He got some Pokémon cards and accessories like card cases.

This is a good comic book store. The employees are always considerate and welcoming. If you have questions, dont be afraid to ask. Ive bought comics all my life.. and have a pretty big collection. The store is small-ish, without many back issues, but they will be moving to a bigger location soon. If you like comics, then definitely consider opening a subscription saver box (its free)! New comics are released every Tues/Wed, the store will pre-order any books you request, and then they will be available for you to pickup anytime. Its a great way to make sure you get the books you want. Ive shopped here for almost 4 years now, and theres always turnover at any location but the new manager Jason is doing a good job. Hes always happy to talk shop so to speak. The store also has a great selection of trades, collectible cards, or card games, along w Funko Pops, and a few statues and figurines.. Regardless of what you like... check em out.

Doesnt have mich alien or predator atuff at all.....not the place for AliensvsPredator alien or predator fans! Other than that its koo if ur into other things.

There used to be another store in town and the guy didnt know anything about comics and was grumpy, like a late 1990s comic book store owner. These folks are more like early 1990s comic book store owners. They seem to enjoy the job (who wouldnt?) and the people.

Awesome store, one of my favorites, always leave with something in my hands typically Pokemon cards, market value all items and dont sale on hype prices. Awesome rewards program too for the more you buy

The customer service at A-1 Folsom is not as consistent as the other locations. At least they got a good variety of items in stock.

Great comic shop. The location is cozier than their other locations, but the selection is really good, and the employees are great. It is totally worth getting your comics and games from them.

A1 Comics Folsom is my go to. I love going in, I always feel welcomed. Joe, Jess, Sophie, and Noah (sorry if I missed anyone else) are always willing to help me and are genuinely awesome people. Always super helpful. Smaller store so not a whole lot of back issues. But they have a good mix of items. RPG, cards, Manga, figures, games and of course comics.

So many cool boardgames and figures

The other day I came in looking for Magic singles and looking at expanding into different formats such as commander and modern. I only play standard and kitchen table magic. Greg helped so much explaining the different color variants and play styles. He helped explain commander very well and was helpful with directing me to cards that fit my play style. Im looking forward to playing commander. Now that I know Tuesday nights is commander league. Joe was very nice and helpful as well. He helped my kids with any pokémon cards they asked about and he knew all the answers. This store is by far the best out of the A-1s for customer service. They hire the best of workers for their knowledge and it shows. Theyre staff members are beyond helpful and extremely nice. Ill be giving my business to them more.

Over priced.. But decent rewards..

For a game shop they are small however they do have a decent amount of product and selection for their small size. The employees i have dealt with have so far been friendly and welcoming. There is no area, because of the lack of floor space, to have tables to play at, however this is not against those who put the store at this location. Excess floor space is a commodity that is sometimes unavailable.

Got some good Pokémon sleeves

Staff was very cool and helpful (Greg). Had a large selection of Magic and where very knowledgeable. Also carried hard to find Katana Sleeves and had a large selection of goods for any nerd. Only complaint was lack of table space and large markup on sealed product.

The old staff at a1 Folsom is much better in my opinion

A great little comic book store. The staff is super nice and always accommodating. It is a small style, so they dont have a ton of stock, but I wouldnt say that they didnt have enough. For the size of the sure, they pack a lot in.I order comic books from than that they have in stock at other locations and its there within a few days. Great turnaround time. I love this store!

Every time I go in I feel so welcome by the staff and they are always more than happy to help me. Its not the closest shop to me but I prefer to drive the extra distance to come here.

Been going since opening always had a blast play magic the gathering and had plenty help from the staff in terms of learning about comics I discovered I love batman comics because of this store they are amazing and knowledgeable about most topics 100% satisfied see yall real soon

I go there for MTG. They have good rates on cards, and very helpful people both work and shop there. D&D books are still cheaper on amazon, but in terms of paper MTG it is a really good store.

Not really into a lot of nerdy things, but my friend suggested I go with him to the opening of this new store. It was really cool. Didnt smell funny or look really dirty like other stores Ive been to. I was helped by a really nice tall guy who seemed really cool. 9/10, great place!

I went to a1 comics and the youg guy and the asin lady stole my charizard card and grydonAnd traded it with fake ones i would like my original cards back at police department making a report i put ultra violet pen mark on backs of all my cards and those two had none i eould like my cards backi was their at 3 to 5 on the 30th of last month so yea they have my real cards and they didnt wont to give me eney prices he was to worried about stealing my cards you two think i dindnt see you trade tje cards out when you two bump into each other oldest trick in the book but thats what happens when a1 comiks hire thieves boycott a1 comics in folsom 900 by baskin robbins only thieves work thier

Great Customer Service, Owner seems to really care about the communities his businesses are in. Free BBQs, Silent Auctions, very competitive prices, charity events and much more. This location does not have as much inventory as the Owners Sacramento location, this is similar to his Roseville location. More inventory in the Sacramento location, likely due to being in Sacramento since 88. I have been and will continue to be a patron of this store (since 92) unless they are unable to order something I need for my collection, which would be a rare situation. A-1 sets the bar high for its other competitors.

Organized store something for all staff is very noligable helped my son make a very powerfull blue artifacts magic deck. Not as big of a store as others but way better staff.

Cool comic shop that has plenty of variety ranging from comic books to board games and Dnd. they got a good selection of miniatures which is what I come for.

Ive been waiting for a decent card shop in Folsom for a while and I have been nothing but happy with the customer service and helpfulness from this store. I cant wait until they hold FNM and tournaments at this location.
