Carly, Kurt, and everyone was so fun and informative with scuba. If youre nervous or having trouble doing a skill they have the patience to help you through it. The whole class was such a fun time and easy.I will definitely be looking at doing other classes through them.Thanks guys!

It was a wonderful experience learning and completing our Open Water certification with Fisheye Scuba. They worked with us when I had an unexpected medical issue pop up the day of our open water dive. They got us rescheduled and through the course. The shop was helpful in purchasing our gear to get started.We will be planning more dives and classes with Fisheye Scuba.

Awesome owner and staff. Both love diving and helping others discover that love for diving. Very knowledgeable when it comes to equipment and gear. Great prices when it comes to getting your gear serviced. They bring a lot of fun and learning to all the dives and training, from pool to open water.

I needed a mask, fins and boots for my son - he shared his wealth of knowledge and made us feel confident we purchased the best products based on our needs. Got my certification for Open Water diving here in 2015. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Don Sherwood was my instructor and he was great teacher. I had so much fun in Monterey getting certified, couldnt of have asked for a more beautiful location. I would definitely recommend getting certified and checking out life under the sea. Great experience with our open water certification! The dive instructors are great teachers and will work patiently with you until you feel comfortable.We had to reschedule our final weekend open water dives a few times due to personal issues and Carly was really patient and understanding with us.Really happy I chose fisheye scuba for my open water certification.

My first experience at fisheye Scuba today was wonderful! I am not a diver, but I do love snorkeling. I recently lost my quality mask and snorkel that I had purchased 20 + years ago, and knowing how much a good set makes a difference, I needed a replacement. Brandon asked several questions to make sure he pointed me in the right direction, and then answered all of my questions as I was trying on the masks. He even recommended that I not consider the most expensive masks since I am not a diver... a sales person who doesnt push you to the most expensive product? I love it! Very good safety measures, as all masks that I tried on were set aside for a thorough cleaning. Highly recommend this place!

Unfortunately have had to reschedule the open water dive part of this class twice and the instructor has been very understanding and accommodating. Cant wait to get out to get in the water and get certified. Thanks so much Carly!

I couldnt have had a better dive training experience. Not only was my group offered the best location to dive, Monterey CA, I completed my training with a true sense in knowing that I can dive safely from here on out because of all the knowledge Ive gained. Thank you, FishEye Scuba!

I started out servicing the pool for Fisheye Scuba. Ive always been interested in getting certified after diving with a resort in Hawaii 15 years ago. After meeting and working with Curtis for a few months, I decided to get certified with my daughter, as we had a trip planned to Jamaica. We took our online course and did our pool and open water dives and became certified! That was 5 months ago.Since then, our jamica trip didnt happen, however, we have gone diving a ton with Fisheye. I have made new friends through diving who I have met from fisheye, and we go diving on our own together. My best friend who was certified by a different dive shop locally, has switched over his certification to PADI from SSI and is now using Fisheye for his future certifications. He is also moved to Arizona and flies up to Sacramento to continue his diving education.I cannot recommend Curtis and Carly enough!!! They are awesome people and fantastic to dive with!

Back in October of 2020 We booked a trip with Fisheye Scuba in Folsom to go to Cozumel which cost just over $7000. On January 12th of 2021 new travel restrictions were issued regarding travel coming into the U.S. Based on numerous issues including work schedules, custody agreements and the fact that 2 of our children could only travel with one parent, we immediately contacted Fisheye in order to cancel the trip as we could not risk the potential of several family members being required to stay in Mexico for an additional 10 days and possibly longer after our trip was supposed to have ended. Only when we tried to cancel were we told that the trip was non-refundable which was nowhere in the emails or invoices that we were sent. Then we were told that they understood what we wanted and were working on it and to give them a day or so. We have never been contacted and given updates and we can rarely get ahold of anyone and when we do, we are just told that they are working on it. This was the first and last trip we will be booking with Fisheye, not to mention the thousands of dollars we have spent with them in the past for gear and classes will now be going to a shop elsewhere. Warning to everyone planning on using this business, do not book trips through them as they will not issue refunds even when government restrictions make it unrealistic for you to go on the trip.

Excellent customer service. I have been reassured there are no hidden costs here like there are at other shops. You pay for everything upfront and your done. Expect to spend around $700 for the class and gear, then you wont be surprised. The guy who runs the place will be strait forward and honest with you. I ended up not taking the class because the group-on did not grant the discount it sounded like it did, which is the fault of the group-on people.

This place is amazing. Very understanding and accommodating! They are very informative and helpful. The owner of the shop as well as his employees go out of their way to provide best customer service that I have experience. I highly recommend this shop.

Be careful about giving your information to Fisheye. Carly Bradley called me a liar/bully just because I received terrible service. She claims she sued others and won which is a threat. My advice is dont post anything under your real name no matter how bad your experience is. Ive never heard of a company using customer information to threaten them. It is my opinion Carly is very disturbed and this is not professional behavior.

I love the fact that Sacramento (my hometown) offers such an awesome dive shop. Might not be the most sought out location in the world to get certified, but when I discovered scuba world I was thrilled to support my local dive shop.My instructors for both open water (Barry) and adv class (Michael) were extremely knowledgable and because my experience has been so great I am continuing more certs from scuba world.I love recommending friends and building an even closer relationship with the dive community!Thanks scuba world 🐡

Small shop with great, very knowledgeable staff - very hands on owners, who are both great instructors as well. If they do not have the right size for equipment, they will order it for you.

Carly also emailed threats to sue me for sharing my FishEye experience online. She made excuse after excuse why she couldn’t refund me for a trip I paid for that FishEye never booked. The hotel told me they canceled Fisheye months before the trip was supposed to depart due to failure to pay a deposit. FishEye continued to advertise the trip, accepted my full payment after the hotel canceled, made me believe for months that the trip was happening, refused to refund me after the fact, and then Carly called me a liar and threatened to sue me for complaining about it. In reality, she broke the law with her fraudulent travel scheme and I reported FishEye to the authorities. Carly used to manage Scuba World and Sacramento Water Sports which were both suspended and still have piles of unpaid court judgments for fraud, tort and breach of contract. Her other business experience is running a massage parlor. The only liar, bully and con-woman that I see is Carly.

My whole family was certified through Scuba World. There were all different levels of comfort in the water and they did everything possible to make us feel welcome. Right from the beginning everyone in the shop was very helpful and the instructors were great..

Great staff help you find just what you need. Instructors are thorough and help you to become a confident certified diver. Cant wait to take the next step to Advanced Open Water!!

Wow!! I took a moment to read some of the bad reviews and I firmly believe you need to understand the person writing the review I find that these people are generally unhappy people. My experience with this dive shop was all I needed it to be. I have recently experience some physical limitations and was not sure if or how I would dive again being as I have a trip to Maria at the end of the month I needed to figure this out before jumped into the ocean. I was grateful that I had an amazing instructor Scott and his wife who patiently help me adjust all my gear and re-learn how to dive all over again. It was very need it because the new adjustments made me feel uncomfortable and how do I try to do this in the open water my experience what a been catastrophic and I would never have dove again. Thank you for keeping your doors open for us and having the convenience of two locationsYes the prices are higher than the Internet it’s the only way they can keep the physical doors open. This allows us to be able to get the right equipment the first time without having to send it back-and-forth through Amazon until you get the right fit. And personally I want my mask to fit correctly before I am in the open water and realized it’s not sized rightP.S.You are a fool if you Open water dive before you talk to your doctor. It is an extreme sport so extreme that life insurance policies don’t cover you. This place is filled with some of the worst staff Ive dealt with, I waited well over a month for a tank when I was told 3 weeks. No phone call to let me know whats going on either. I dropped three off and had to come in to see what was going on because I got no word. When I came in I was only able to leave with 2 of the 3, and again, well over a month later, I get a phone call to get my last tank. And all they say is sorry were getting in New staff? How does that make it right that I waited from July 24th to August 31st for 1 damn tank? And when Im upset about it, I get an attitude from the girl at the desk? Absolutely ridiculous. Theres been no urgency with this company and staff, going in there is awful because theyre just so unprofessional. A while back youd pay after picking up the tanks, but now you have to pay before hand, and deal with the fact that they cant figure out how to do their own job and if it interferes with a dive trip, they wont care and wont issue a refund though they literally havent laid a hand on your tank yet besides putting it in the back room. And to top it all off, when I came in for the first two, the young guy working was the only one in the store, and told me he couldnt find my tank whatsoever. 10/10 would never recommend this store to anyone that dives. Over priced, understaffed and rude employees? Not worth it.

I canceled a dive trip because of my family emergency and didnt get a refund. Later I find out from fisheye employees that not enough people booked for the trip to go. Instead the owner sent a couple friends for free. My guess is they would have canceled the trip but since I canceled first they can legally keep my money. The shop didnt lose money from my cancellation but they sure gained it since I paid for their friends to take my place.

This is the Madison Ave location and were very helpful when I was there.

TLDNR: Shop is disorganized and is full of surprise fees, TONY IS GREAT, management sucks, new CEO is crazy, rental equipment is old and should probably be thrown away. If you have choices for your PADI Cert, I would go elsewhere and not here.

Dolphin scuba World in Sacramento does not comply with their own procedures to deliver their promises. The second time I took dive gear in to have fixed they did nothing at all. The first time dive gear was to be fixed, it was not completed on the date they promised, then Rick actually broke it worse, and then told me I was responsible to buy the replacement parts, from him.

I am still waiting for a $5741.00 refund for the cancelled Australia trip in December 2018. Was given a store check that bounced and added $12.00 more to the bill. Curtis Wilsons excuse is always its the credit card company fault. Yeah fault for 4 months. Still getting the song and dance.

My son and husband just finished a certification with this shop. My son got his open water and my husband, his advanced. Both of them kept telling me how great they had been treated. So on the open water trip to Monterey we made a family event out of it. I got to meet their instructors and watch what they were doing. Sarah and Brittania were great with my guys, they were patient and got them through the skills needed to be safe divers. They were great to me and the other kids even though we were not taking a class. Absolutely a first rate group of people.

Worst experience Ive ever had. So bad this is the first review Ive written about a place. Started off At the class the day before the confined dive I was told I needed a doctors clearance for my high blood pressure. It was not made clear this was needed PRIOR to confined dive I assumed it was for open dive. Wouldnt have mattered either way I could not get a doctors clearance in 1 day. So showed up at confined dive 7am on Saturday and told j could not do confined dive test so turned around and drive another hour back to grass valley. Was informed I could do makeup in a Thursday evening. Showed up in Thurs for makeup. Started off by with a BCD they had issued me was too small. So it was barely strapped on. Then 1.5 hours into the exercises discovered my BCD was defective. This was discovered when doing the manual BCD inflate and my equipment was missing components. Not only was it missing components but it was also slowly self inflating. I had been struggling the entire time to stay submerged even after loading up with weights. Well the BCD was slowly inflating enough to make it extremely hard for me and felt like a complete idiot that couldnt stay under water. If thats not enough... at 1030pm we had to stop and had only gotten through 1/2 the exercise so were not qualified to do open dive that Sat/Sun. We had planned our trip to Tahoe etc and just cancelled the whole thing.Jus dropped off all the equipment at the shop and pick up our packet coz we are going somewhere else. The owner/ manager and instructor were there. No appologies or nothing from them on their defective process or defective equipment.We will finish our certification in Mexico which is why were we doing this in the first place.Would NOT recommend this shop at all. Its ran like the Mickey Mouse club.
