Do not go to Service department they are ripping off peoples time and money .It is not my first time getting ripped off there, but let me tell you the story and anyone who is interested i can provide with proof .I took my 2020 Volvo there with head light and rain sensor problem on Wednesday 08/04/21 they were supposed to change my head light and rains sensor, but call me for the price . They never called and I contacted them on Friday 08/06/21 they said that they diagnosed the truck and it would be $1268 to get fix my head light and rain sensor they emailed me a scam pdf with that estimate ( but it was not an estimate to fix the truck it was estimate for me to approve their scam ) . Thinking I would get the truck fixed for $1268 but it was only to check my truck head light .The final Estimate for $3400 I got today Tuesday and when I declined that and asked to pickup my truck they said that I will need to pay $1268 after 2 hours of negotiation they are dropping their scam profit to $650. Im going to end up paying $650 for simple head light problem without probably them touching my unit and with my head light still not working .Let not forget it is 2020 VOLVO VNL 860.
If you want to get disappointed go to this place. Every time I’ve taken my truck here it comes back with the issue not fixed. They need to step up there “Quality control department” double check the technicians work. Truck was here for over two weeks was told no eta do to no oem parts. They won’t tell you they have aftermarket parts which they do.Always missing nuts and bolts broken off just terrible experience. The service rep Juan made things a lot easier, there is a miscommunication between dispatch and the technicians.
Very unprofessional place!!! They lie, they don’t know any time frame, they don’t have technicians able to fix 2020 trucks!!! This place is a total joke, worse then El Paso !!! The manager l/ supervisor won’t return my phone calls, and the service department keep saying we are waiting on the technician, but they don’t tell you if they have a technician on site or not!!! Don’t go to this location….paid 160k for a truck and they have no technician able to fix it

Well we waited all night to get truck looked at only to find out they don’t do diagnostic on a walk in bases. They are over booked so you have to leave truck They said it might be Monday. I know it is a personal issues. The reason I am giving them one star is because they did not communicate with their night crew as to this so we could have known and planned accordingly. Communication is very important. They staff are great as to dealing with. Just no communication between days and night staff as to protocols.
I wonder at first if this TEC location was the right repair place for my transportation needs for repairs,but to my surprise the staff and mechanic s got right on it asap with in reason not only that, they were courteous and honest about the repairs I love transparency and doing business with anyone!! Just another Volvo dealership nothing special other than it was all brand new facility. The drivers area had nice couches and chairs a free laundry room and nice clean free shower stalls. Staff was decent for the most part they just took forever I don’t know what was up but they said their computers were down and put them back 1 to 2 days but I was down for 6 days with my truck in shop for a couple bad parts in the exhaust system stopping the parked regen process. Idk I’d go here again I guess.

The worst repair mechanics in the state, they have NO diagnostics skills at all, even when the codes are on the dashboard analysis menu! My truck has been in their shop for weeks. Their constant reply is CANNOT DUPLICATE PROBLEN ???? it does not need to be duplicated, it needs to be repaired !! WHAT A JOKE

Had a little issue backing up once ina full moon, brought to shop, they said sensor and then they said clutch. Dont know how clutch went out at 300,000 miles. Truck still have transmission warranty. Ended up paying 4k plus after 1 week. Got truck back, hill assist light stays on and not working anymore. Cant afford to take it back and wait another week or 2.Bought a radiator from them, they said after market has 2 years warranty and oringal has 1 year warranty. I went with the aftermarket warranty. Exactly q year and 3 days radiator broke, call them up and they said only 1 year warranty. They gave me the number of the people that sold them the radiator, I called them up and they said only 1 year. They ended up selling me another radiator for $595, the same one that I paid $1,000 to volvo tech. Imagine that they almost double the price on the same radiator. After this review, they will ban me from buying parts. Stay away from this place if you can. So ma y bad reviews in here but management doesnt seem to care about what is going on. Corporate should take at look at the practice of volvo tech of fontana and disassociate volvo name from them.

Went in for one battery and a battery hold down and it took 11 1/2 hours. I was waiting in the drivers lounge and truck was done at 3 pm. No phone call or nothing. Went out at 630 pm and they say oh your here. Go out to the truck and look at battery compartment. Battery was never replaced. That took them another 2 1/2 hours to put that in. After paying 729.00 dollars I finally walk out of there at 930 pm.
What happened to the old days when people helped people out. Wont get that here.

Some of the customer service for parts are great but there sone like the old guy with great hair that is indifferent to the customers with little concern to help thw customers around him. Its like hes there because he has no other option. But in the good side the gentleman that help me thw second time around was great. A little slow and didnt ask the right questions but you can tell he was trying. Thank you for caring.

Worst service department ever!!Had a small issue with my Volvo 2018. Took 2 days just to diagnose the problem and forever to get it repaired. Stay away from Mr. Dan in service otherwise youll be stuck here for weeks! Long story short, long wait times, bad customer service and too expensive to empty your wallet.

I was looking into purchasing a new Mack or Volvo from them. My truck had a check engine light/code and my first thought was to go to the place where Im considering purchasing and after one visit with their shop, I advise any small fleet or O/O to steer away from them. 2 days ($100 hotel daily plus downtime) and they havent even taken a look, havent hooked up a computer to it or nothing. Just let it sit on their lot.Going on day 3 and Im expecting more customer service failed from this place. I already sent my complaint to Volvo. Dealers like this is the reason why Freightliner has the market share. Im going to buy new equipment from another manufacturer based on a poor dealer network like this.

Awesome place. If you get stuck here and you’re a driver. Check out the laundry facilities. Had i noticed it sooner, I would have made use of TEC’s thoughtfulness of adding a laundry room for drivers! Drivers lounge, walk in, it’s the door on the right, next to the Men’s room.
Left my truck there for 2 weeks they said the part was on national back order but our head mechanic found it in 15 minutes and had it dropped shipped to them the next day and when I went to pick it up it had a scratch on the side of the truck and a slice in the tire and they said it wasn’t there response ability not there problem it’s a 2019 Volvo excuse me

It started with good experience but turned out to be the worst place we’ve bought a truck. After they sell it to you - try reaching their finance department. It has been a few days short of a month since we bought the truck and have not received the paperwork for it. Today we finally got an update after calling the general manager. We just have to wait a few more weeks - thats all! The bill payment is due and the equipment has been sitting doing nothing. I would avoid! There are many places that will sell you a truck at a better deal and with better service. Nothing good here. Incompetent paperwork handling.
This Volvo dealership does Unauthorized Work, doesn’t give you estimates in a timely manner. Was directed to do Three specific items and none of them required my Engine to be dismantled and held in shop for one week....Warranted work aside, they still didn’t address the issue brought in .

Well stock parts store with a wide selection of parts that a commercial truck driver occasionally needs to do a repair or upgrade to a tractor trailer. Prices - to be determined - my employer sent me here for parts. He has done business with TEC before and instructed me to have TEC call dispatch for payment. TEC wont accept a credit card over the phone - thats bizarre - this is the 21st Century, who doesnt accept credit cards? And from a corporate account? Strange but they are working with me to arrange payment. So, for that reason alone, 4 out of 5 stars. Because, if they would, I could be back to work now instead of typing this review.
Had the truck in for repair. The first repair was very expensive.Had the truck back for less than 200 miles and we broke down again. $500 to tow it back and another 500 to get the trailer towed.They did not advise us well. All could have been avoided with proper advise. $28,000+ later, and we now have a truck worth $12,000.A new engine for half that could have been an option. But we were not advised, new injectors after the injector cups, not advised. Its the mechanics and his teams job to trouble shoot and advise the customer.
Initially this place got me a little unnerved with their standard 4 hour diagnostic and tool charges. The first result was a joke and an easy way out so to speak. However, I was persistent and unsatisfied and got Greg Ham, the manager, involved. Greg, the shop foreman and myself sat down and I explained my issue in detail, which the service writer wouldnt have any of it, he wanted his techs to start from scratch and find the issue on my dime.After Greg got involved my real problem was found within the day and the truck was fixed by the next day.I had fuel pressure codes, one injector and six cups plus fuel lines were replaced.With Greg in the mix it was a good experience.Lucky 88s LLC

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS FAST AS YOU CAN This has to be the very worst shop I have ever been around it has taken them three weeks to do the work on my friends truck then when we went to pick it up the truck was finished at 00:01 we arrived to pay the bill at 09:00 they havent done the paperwork now its after 13:00 and they are still working on the bill. The whole time the truck is in their shop they had the wrong truck number and Vin number every time we went to check the progress of the work it took a long time to find it in their computer because the never fixed the numbersWe finally got out of there at 14:30It has been a week now and the truck is running fine so the work performed seems okay but I would not ever recommend this business they will cheat you
Theres no parking at all here youre lucky to find a spot out on the street. The lines take forever and its very hard to get what you need. I hope things get better when they open up at their new location.
The ONLY reason for 2 stars is the service desk personnel are pleasant to deal with and the drivers lounge is decent. As far as service work goes this place sucks, been here twice in the last year and both times they kept my truck for at least a week on work that should have been done in 2 days max. The last time I was there it was a blown turbo, they kept the truck from Sunday night til Friday morning and the turbo blew again before I got home to NC. The dealer in NC knew that TEC screwed something up but couldnt prove it. The only saving grace in the whole situation was it was covered under warranty. AVOID IF POSSIBLE

Fast service. My only complaint is unless the space youre choosing to drop your trailer off doesnt have any bobtails in front of it, you will have to back from the blindside to drop your trailer.
We have used this place several times over the last year to get our semi repaired. They have completed repairs that werent needed, and the issue we brought it in for wasnt fixed. We specifically told them not to replace our batteries, because they were still under warranty, but they did it any way, and disposed of the ones they took out. We brought the truck in 12/20 for repairs, and they let so many people leave for the holidays that we didnt get our truck back for 2 weeks. They didnt even look at it the first week. We brought it in again in mid-february, and the item they replaced didnt fix the issue. We brought it in again in March, and it sat for a week without being repaired. We were lied to about when the estimate went out, then after assuring me it would be ready the following day, didnt even touch it. They supposedly didnt receive the authorization, and didnt feel it necessary to call and tell us, they just didnt fix it. Im finished with this company, Ill NEVER use them again. The employees dont care about the customers, and I refuse to give these crooks more of my money.

Spent 6 hours of my day off waiting for them to decide that they dont do the repair that was needed. Even though they advertise that they do.
Worst service.. overfilled my truck by 2 gallons. Extremely difficult talking to a service rep. Will leave you on hold and forget about you.. save the headache and try to avoid this dealership. Wish I bought a freightliner for the service alone. Not to mention build quality fit and finish is much better then Volvo.
Ive been here 3 days. Got my truck back this evening, got in my truck, turned the key. Truck wont start. Same issue i came here for. Of course they found I needed D-rings, valve cover gasket( never had an oil leak or burned any oil). 4 new batteries which tested good on day 1. Im only a driver but I have already advised my company to find someone else to work on our trucks when in this area.Yes they do have a beautiful facility.I feel most of this work was created by a used car salesman called service associate !
Parts dept had what I needed in stock. The parts technician was professional and courteous and offered some money saving information that saved me several hundred dollars!
If you’re an O/O RUN! If you have a breakdown, tell Volvo action service to tow you anywhere else; even if it’s Bakersfield. After the experience here, I cancelled any further Volvo/Mack truck orders; as I refuse any further dealings with any TEC Equipment location.
I called this dealer on Friday 25 October 2019. Talked to service desk and told the person on duty that I had a check engine fault code on dash. Ask if I could get into shop on the next day which was Saturday. I ask about appointment they said first come first serve. Was there first thing Saturday 2nd in line. When asked what I needed I told her my problem and she said no one there that is qualified for my problem. My problem with this is what good is a shop to be open if no one qualified to do anything that might come in. So I cant give this a zero so 1 is what I think about this shop. I should have known better than waist my time trying to get I. There early.
Got the clutch replaced on my truck. Cost a bit over 4,800 and they had it for 9 days they went way over the estimate. I was told it would be about 10 hours of labor to put in a new clutch, they billed for almost 20 hours, new mechanic that needed to use a manual? Apparently a test drive is not part of the check after repairs are done because after I started it and tried to put it in gear it would not go into gear. Night foreman pulled it into bay to check it over, after more than an hour he comes into waiting area and says it is ready. The mechanic that did the repairs did not fill the clutch hydraulic reservoir (a bit hard for a hydraulic clutch to work without hydraulic fluid), he also left a greasy shop towel on the floor, and greasy prints all over the steering wheel, door, and gearshift.Started settling all of our stuff back in to the truck and I can not find 3 bluetooth headsets, and the gps. They are not in the tote that I hide them in under the bed. Tear the entire truck apart look in every nook and cranny in case I put them someplace else. Then I sit in the drivers seat and notice that the gps mount is gone, and I know I left that in place. That is the missing item that tells me the other items have been stolen out of my truck. THANK YOU TEC VOLVO FOR LETTING SOMEONE STEAL STUFF OUT OF MY TRUCK!!!!

Went to check out a couple of new Volvo trucks, Paul, the sales rep. was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product. Place is clean, easy access from main street. I would recommend it if you are shopping for a truck. They also have pre-owned lot rigt next door.

Never and ever take your truck for service to this place especially if you are an owner operator. They will rip you off, your truck won’t get fixed and you will end up taking it to a different shop for more work. Stay away!!!
