I dropped off a couple of Lawnmower blades to be sharpened on a Friday. The guy did not give me a receipt, just stated to come back Saturday by 1pm and ask for my blades. I came Saturday around 2pm of course they were closed. He didnt tell that they closed early. Anyway, when I came Monday to pick them up, they still were not ready. So, I waited around 30 minutes while they were being sharpened. I got a unpleasant vibe from this business. I wont be back.
Just seems like they dont want to work. Decided not to do business here.
Asked about a used rototiller. Had 1-- a Troy Built. Already have 1. Not very good. Looking 4 possible a Bolens or?Possibly a Honda or Suzuki engine. Never another Tecumsee or Briggs.
Took my generator to get diagnosed I mentioned my on off switch was broken. I was told it need a valve job and carb cleaning. They had not even open my generator when I got there. I was told they pulled the cord and charged me 65 to tell me it would be $488 to fix the valves clean the carb and the switch was fine. I told them no thank you and took it to Sierra Lawnmower Service at 7695 Sierra ave. FontanaGenerator only needed a carb cleaning and the switch I thought was broke for a total of $200 half the price and great service
Straight ripoff, The Mexican guy at the counter performed unauthorized additional labor services on my chainsaw, Charged me $65 to clean my chainsaw pully, I took my chainsaw in for a $35 inspection, After I complained about the unauthorized additional $65 he said ok bring cash and Ill charge only additional $50, That $50 was for his pockets, Hes a ripoff and hes probably stealing from the owner, Why would he ask for cash to lower the price
This guy I been here a few times, I bring the part I needed and the guy looks at it and remarks,oh that part is old! I then ask for that part and he goes...Its like if you need a part for a Toyota and we only have parts for a Nissan. This guy acts like he knows what he says but does not treat customers properly. He is really rude, I asked to speak with his boss and he denied me that with more remarks not noteworthy.
This place is a rip off, they scam customers beware. We purchased a saw there which was defective, it stopped working after 1 use, when we went to the store and spoke to the manager there, he gave my husband a million excuses to not honor the 1 year warranty, after acknowledging what he was saying made absolutely no sense the owner an old guy decided to barge in a violent manner and told my husband to leave his store, after my husband called the manufacturer company they advised him what we already knew, the representative said their excuses were senseless and stated they should honor the manufacturer warranty. Here we were trying to help these small business stay afloat, my husband spent $1300 there. Instead of being grateful for customers and providing assistance the owner tells his customers to go screw themselves, horrible customer service.
Took in lawn mower. 2 days later called w a quote. We got it fixed. Next day it was ready. Took it home and mower only worked for 2 lanes of cutting grass. Wouldn’t turn on after. Tried n tried. Took it back. Their guy couldn’t turn it on. So left it. Called a week later and still hadn’t been seen. Stopped in on 2 Nd week they moved my paperwork to the top. No call. Third week moved paperwork up again. Finally got a call claiming it was the wrong gas in tank. Same gas we’ve used for years before we ever took it in and no problems. So we asked an extension on the 90 day warranty. We asked that the 3 weeks they kept the mower to be added on the end. We’re informed that wasn’t good business for them to be extending warranties. Came home. Mower mower lawn once. Tried to mow it the next week and back to same issue.
Horrible people . They will scam u and take your money in a heart beat DO NOT GO HEREPaid 200 to fix my lawn mower. Came back in 2 weeks still broken . Dident get my momey back
I brought two lawn mowers to them. Both were Toro machines and one was a brand new model that was used three times. They purposely made their assessment to help Toro not cover repairs. On top of that, they gave me a quote of $290 and I could buy a brand new one for less than that. This place is out to over charge like crazy. Bring a unit there that doesn’t have anything wrong with it and I’m sure you’ll end up with a long list of repairs that aren’t needed.This place had honesty and integrity, but that has went out the door.

*************THIEFS************This is the worst place to repair a machine, I took my power washer and just to leave it for an inspection they charged me $45 dollars, the next day they called me according to them they had to change the carburetor and filters, for the cost of $ 290 dollars. I told them NO. My machine was less than a year old. Then I took my machine to Home Depot and they charged me only $ 18, and the only reason it did not turn on was because it was low on oil. I do not recommend this place to anyone to get to that store. They practically wanted to charge me for doing nothing. And besides that I lost my $ 45 dollars according to the inspection.
Good selection of stihl products, helpful staff, parking is an issue but overall pretty happy with the shop.
A-1 Garden Equipment. This place has been around since I moved into the neighborhood which is about 15 years now. Called to get estimate and Tony quoted $60 to check and they will call to provide estimate. Got to this place and the person that helped me unload the pressure washer quoted me $40 for the estimate. They wrote it up and charged my card $24 and said they made a mistake. They would call the next day with an estimate. Two days go by and no call, so I called they wanted $171 to put a new carburator, filter, oil, spark plug drain fuel line and all I wanted was to have my carburator cleaned because it would not stay on.Carburator for this unit on Amazon $16 with spark plug, fuel hose, Prime bulb, carburator and gasket. Say $10 more for oil and use YouTube for instructions and your good to go.This place was good and now Tony running the show there lacks people skills, customer service and integrity. The Hamm owners either know this is happening or they are just plane oblivious to how their store is now ran.I use to like this place and was right behind them, way way way behind them.

If i can rate lower i would. Went to pick up my order after 3 weeks and it wasnt correct. Tried to have it corrected with one of the sales associate and he was just unpleasant as they come. Asked for a manager and he sarcastically stated the manager wasnt available. Very rude and unprofessional. Would never come back. Dont waste your time here.

This place Rocks, The owner Scott Came out to my truck and talked me thru the options regarding repairing my equipment, and after I check on the internet he was spot on. his advice was to use it till it blew the motor than get a new mower. He explained that the cost to repair would be greater than the of the value of the unit after the repair was complete. He could have repaired and charge me, However he was honest, a RARE trait in business now a days. i will be back when my mower is dead to purchase a new one.
Poor customer service. Our generator has been in tjeir shop for about a month. We call to ask the status and gwt no answers. They promise to look into the status of our repiar and never received a call back. This happened on two occasions. The owner was one who promised to call back. Will never take any more equipment to these guys again.
Was in today to buy weed killer & weed eater. Showroom was full of customers but was greeted with a smile & provided with excellent customer service. Staff speaks ENGLISH & knows there products. I will return for all my gardening needs.

I used to go here for about 10 years to have my lawnmower and weed eater serviced and got excellent service. I havent been here for about 4 years cause I didnt have a lawnmower . I took my lawnmower in to have a tune up done on Friday and was told that I had to pay a 24 assessment fee and would be applied to the actual bill. Was told that it would be ready on Saturday. Saturday I called and was told that the tech was just finishing and they would call back in 10 mins. 30 mins later, they called and said that the mower only needs a tune up and would be ready on Monday. Wait, Monday? They said Saturday. They also said the blade was damaged and needed to be replaced and I said yes. No call on Monday. Tues came and they called and said it was done. Went, paid for it and took it home. Today, I went to use it and found the blade was never changed. I called and was told since I didnt pay for it and there was no notes, I would have to pay for it. He said that he could give it to me for 18 instead or 23 that they charge. I can get an original for 17. I will be looking at another repair place as this place, even though it is still owned by Mr. Hamm, the employees dont know customer service.
Over priced for a homeowner.Over $500.00 for a tune up and a choke cable.On top of that they wanted $1,200.00 to rebuild the tiller motor.$1,700.00 plus dollars for a maybe $500.00 piece of equipment.Any body want to buy my Roto tiller?
Do not take your lawnmower to this repair shop - They charged to rebuild a carburetor but didnt do the work correctly, we used the repaired lawnmower once and found the machine started leaking gas, their fault but they want to change again to do the same work twice. The guarantee is no good. Im just picking up my machine and going elsewhere. Customer service sucks too. Office is very unorganized.will not visit this place again.

I bought a Stihl commercial grade weed eater a few years ago. I am now on my 4th carburetor and they want to put on another and do other work. I dont know if I got a lemon or that they are not good at repairs. Ive had enough and will go somewhere else and hopefully purchace one that will work on a regular basis. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS BUSINESS.

I DO NOT recommend this place for any of your tool repair needs..Had my Makita cordless band saw for over 2 months ..They say it needed to go to Makita to get fixed.It was still under warranty but still charged me $85...Then the battery that I left with the unit doesnt work or recharge now...They said they Will look into it...yea rt bunch of swindlers if u ask me...

It was lousy I live 20 miles away I had to return 5 times to finally get all my parts. I bought an edgerr(new) it wouldnt shut off then the front tire fell off I had a good edger motor put on a commercial frame they had yet the arm was so loose it WOULDNT CUT A STRAIGHT LINE!! My lawn vacuum SUPPOSEDLY needed a new carburetor 300$ and when I got it back it cut out like crazy once again I returned and they figured out the kill switch wire was shorting out on the handle ba . Hhhmmm did I really need a new carburetor???? BEYOND LOUSY!!!!

I took my electricity plant to fix it because it did not maintain the watts that it always produced for the last 2 years, the air a / c when the compressor entered the power cut off, I told them that the regulator was wrong to change it ... let them charge me 85 dll. To diagnose it the next day they told me that if I wanted to fix it it would cost 480.00 dlls more expensive than the cost when I bought it ... they say they have to accentuate valves, clean the tank, change hoses, etc. etc. but if the engine worked perfectly it was a matter of electricity was the current regulator. Well I picked up my plant !! Oh surprise !!! Now the engine was stuttering, I dont know what the hell they did to the engine, now I will have to throw my plant away thanks to these traces ... do you want to buy there or fix your equipment? ..me? !!! I never return to that place !!!!
