Kurt is a 10! He spent over an hour with me inspecting three guns that I didnt know much about and giving me advice to care for them. He is extremely knowledgeable, like a human encyclopedia for guns. He runs a great small town business. He also builds amazing hunting rifles. Tons of used rifles and shotguns in stock. If there is something you want that he doesnt have he will help you with the process to order it. Even if you dont live in the Forest Grove area he is well worth the drive.

Kurt and his late father Harold (the H in H & K) are the very exemplars of an excellent gun shop. Kurt is straight shooter who gives a beautiful product at a fair price. And if you just want to talk and he has the time, you will always leave with more knowledge of guns and life than when you went in!

I have lived in Oregon my whole life and have visited many gun shops all over the state. I recently moved to a new home, and decided to check out the local gun shops. The owner of H&K guns is the nicest, most knowledgeable gentleman I have encountered thus far. I told him I am primarily interested in guns from the first half of the 1900s, and he proceeded to show me a vast array of exactly what I was looking for.Most of the guns I have are in slightly obscure calibers, and he had ammo for everything I have. He even had plently of .22lr in stock, which almost no one has given the current pandemic. I also gave him my phone number, and asked if he could call me if he ever gets a specific rifle in.I will most definitely be back, and will introduce friends and family to the location.

A good old fashioned gun shop that you dont find around much anymore. The owner is not only knowledgeable about guns but is a skilled gunsmith as well. Good for conversation, and he follows the rules to a T when it comes to background checks and purchases. To me that shows honesty, integrity and that he cares about safety.You may get something a little cheaper at a big box place, but I prefer to go here where I trust the person selling it, and he backs his work.

Mom and Pop gun shop with a whole lot of gun knowledge. Super friendly, Fair prices, great gunsmith.Please support our local businesses so they may not be pushed out by the big box stores. You cant find this level of knowledge at national chain store.

My first time buying bullets and told him I was a beginner and he was cool about it and made some suggestions and got 33 rounds for only $21 and super cool guy coming back again for sure
