Lorraine spoke to my dad and agreed to cancel the midweek stay verbally. Agreed to move 1 day to the end of the week as they were full the next day. They agreed verbally that they owed my dad 1 days stay. They now decide when it comes to trying to book the day that was in credit to refuse the stay. ( there was 1 room available) they are claiming that they never said it. The place is really nice but the two faced attitude of Lorraine and her partner who probably wasn’t all there at the time have really upset my parents. Who now have to find somewhere else to stay after driving from Durham down there. Do not stop there they aren’t interested in customer satisfaction and clearly don’t make a record of their agreements. Professional is a word they don’t know the meaning of. They are con artists only interested in money and that is shown by the fact that they don’t deal with the bookings in house they are all factored to other people.

Amazing little gem! If you have dogs this place is for you! Or even without them. Beautiful little rooms and everyone so friendly. The dog had an amazing stay with the other pups around in a close in safe place for all the dogs to play. Will defo stay again!!

3 stars because it was cheap, otherwise would be a 2. When we went the pub was totally closed with no facilities. Rooms were basically a motel experience with some basic amenities. Would be better of you had a dog as it was dog friendly.

Great for what it is my friend described it as but I think more. Well located for Crewkerne centre with a lovely back field county walk cut through opposite behind the bus stop. Tv was terrible and you need a log in for channels but the shower was described as brilliant. Good job on changing the breakfast arrangements. I thought as first when the inn staff helpfully explained no breakfast. £130 three people in a room. To my surprise we got cereal milk and then later toast.

The gate to the car park is shut, but let yourself in, its only to keep some adorable four-legged friends in. The staff was friendly and welcoming to both me and my puppy. There is a friends and family atmosphere that makes you feel at home straight away. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food (breakfast and supper) was lovely, and the rooms are quaint and clean. Would definitely recommend, whether youre dropping in for a pint or for the weekend.

Lovely little place thats gradually being upgraded room by room. We got one of the newly done rooms and it was lovely. Comfy bed, all new decor, new windows and doors and new bathroom, very clean and fresh. We didnt eat here in the evening so cant comment on the food but the breakfasts were very nice.

Lovely warm country pub filling breakfast with warm country hospitality the owner even ran to the station to give me the charger I had left in my room before our train left AMAZING country hospitality!will definitely stay here again, not for posh or snooty visitors who should at the Hilton in Bridport!

Just called in for a quick pint. Beer was good. Could not judge the food. I parked in front of the car park gates and had to move the car twice. Dog friendly, sat at a table with the dog on the sofa.

Negative points.Old style motel.Very thin walls (I could hear the fella in the next chalet snoring)Shower temperature was broken only got hot-tish despite there being a caution hot water sticker on the shower. Hot water came through basin tap so must be shower mechanism.Something was tapping the front wall all night.Basic construction must be suspect.Bed too soft.Place feels like youre staying at your first girlfriends gran and granddads place. Its all OK when youre 19 or 70 but not for professional people. No soap in the en suite bathroom.I didnt meet the owners but I suspect that although theyre very nice, they dont have what it takes to wrench this place into the post covid world. Time toThey make a big deal on the website about the free full breakfast. When I texted the brief reply told me that breakfast was unavailable. You have to leave the car to open the gate, go back in the car, drive through, get out the car to close the gate, get back in the car to drive to the carpark.Good points.Wi-Fi worked and was not charged extra. The dogs are adorable. There is a Laundry Room with washer/dryer, crockery and cutlery. These are the places that will go under in a downturn. Id rather drive the extra hour and get home.Either lower the price and make it a WYSIWYG venture or sell up to a more energetic owner who can make this place work. The dogs are *really* adorable. Maybe if you have pets then this might be the place for you. It was more like a campsite with chalets than a proper hotel. Still, judging by the other reviews, other people found it worked for them. Best of luck turning it around.
