Went looking for a little birthday weekend fun and a new experience while we were in Ft. Collins for the day, and stumbled upon this little gem. Such a delightful little restaurant with a cozy, intimate atmosphere! The staff were friendly, and the menu was very well-thought-out with exciting local cheeses and beverages. Lots of small-plate options to share means you can try many fun things without getting too full. Great experience!

Lunch / Happy Hour was great yesterday. Emily our server did a great job and the Chefs Board was wonderful!

This place was so cute. Friend and I made a reservation. Tables were nicely distanced. It was very clean. Waitress was great, but best off all, food was delicious.

The Welsh Rabbit prepared happy hour appetizers for us for 38 guests. They created amazing platters, delivered the order and provided fantastic service along the way. I would recommend them any time!

Wonderful cheese shop if you are in the mood to splurge a bit. Everything I tried I absolutely love 💕! I really love the huntsman, a combo of Stilton and Gloucester. Looks like a cake the way it is layered. Very rich, and only for the fans of blue cheese, but delish! BTW, they give out samples, so you can try before you buy.

Fantastic atmosphere and great wine + cheese. A lot of their staff is very knowledgable about wine and Ive found some of my favorite wines through their recommendations.

Amazing service, the female waitress we had today was very kind and polite, she recomended us amazing food. The 2 cooks brought our food out to us and greeted us as well, they had the most friendlly smiles and were very comforting. The benedict i got was the best ive had!

Yummy... Just yummy! Great with offering samples. Gourmet salami and other options as well. Specialty jellies and gourmet pastas also in the store. Definitely worth a visit.

Disappointing service. We came in to try a few cheeses to buy and make a board at home. We waited in line for 20 minutes only to be told we should go to the bistro that wasnt even open yet. No education about the cheeses or what might go nicely together. Youd be better off going to Whole Foods or King Soopers.

Love the Welsh Rabbit. Best place to get your cheese fix. The Bistro is wonderful as well. A cheese platter and a glass of wine or beer and the rest is up to you. A great place to sit and visit with good friends.

I have been a customer of this shop and their bistro since they both opened - even now that I dont eat cheese! I like how they have evolved over the years and changed up what they offer. We also used them recently for a fun virtual tasting event on our CSU department - the platters created were lovely and had a wide variety of items to try together. They honored all dietary restrictions and created alternatives for this. Our group had a great time and learned a lot about cheese in the process! I recommend them for events like this - so fun and yummy!

No concept of customer service. Boycott this place!!While walking around downtown FoCo yesterday afternoon, my cheese lover wife wanted to try this place out. After spending over 10 minutes, the girl at the counter showed no sign of helping us in any way. Cheese is bought by trying out samples and some education from the owner but not this place. They seem to have a great array of products but this type of customer non-caring attitude must be rewarded by not giving them any business. We have been extra generous over the past year supporting local businesses but places like these so no deserve any help. Boycott them.

The staff was very polite and helped us navigate the menu and ordering. All the cheese, meat and wine we tried were great. They even had gluten free crackers for me! I highly recommend trying the snowfield and moonlight cheeses.

If I lived in FOCO, Id be here every weekend. Amazing selection of cheese, plus the owner (whom we met) was so kind and welcoming. We love supporting local businesses and if youre in downtown Fort Collins, you need to check them out for great cheese, crackers, and drink selections.

Having someone living so far away on their birthday and not knowing what to get them, the Welsh rabbit came they for this momma’s heart to bring me closer to my daughter. Cheese curds. You must get the cheese curds. This place is a delight. Not only are there the most exquisite cheeses, but the woman running the shop had excellent recommendations. Particularly, the cheese curds.

They cater to all types. We went as a family group and they were able to help with my nephews dietary restrictions as well as give all of the adults a wide selection of amazing food to eat and explain hot things complimented each other. They are really knowledgeable in what they serve. We ended the night with their in house made cheesecake and it was amazing. Unlike anything I have ever had. They also offer everything you eat there at their shop around the corner so that you can bring all of their goodies home to have more. One of the coolest places in old town.

Welsh Rabbit is a gem in Old Town Ft. Collins.Its an unassuming little place, but well worth coming in. With an impressive selection of cheeses from around Europe and the US, Welsh Rabbit pleased my mouth.The atmosphere is relaxed, inviting you to stop and stay for a bit. The jazz in the background is the right level, loud enough to hear, but low enough that theres no need to speak loudly.The staff is helpful and friendly, and gives great advice about what cheeses you may enjoy, based on things you like to eat.Cheeses are grouped by type, and there are a variety of each type. None of them are a bad choice though.Welsh Rabbit is a great place for a date, or a low-key group of friends to gather.I recommend stopping in, and trying some new cheeses with someone. Or tasting some new tidbits to make your mouth happy by yourself.

An amazing place to try and buy unique cheeses, I frequent the shop whenever I can to see their rotating selection. Definitely go here if you want to branch out from the standard cheddar and swiss.

This is the first review I have written but my poor experience has motivated me to open a google account as well as write this review. I was very excited to check out this place based on the reviews and the website. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated at the bar. That was the last positive interaction we had. From here we could clearly see that the staff was overwhelmed and understaffed for the workload despite the small space. Two other customers were seated after us, and they received water and menus. We sat at the bar for over 20 minutes and had not been acknowledged since being seated. No menu or water was provided. Unfortunately I cannot speak to the quality of the food because as we got up to leave the person who sat us clearly had not remembered seating us 20 minutes earlier and bid us farewell. This was clearly a disappointing experience for what had held such promise for the evening. I ended up eating a burger a fries for dinner at another establishment.

Oh my goodness what a marvelous, terrific place to discover! The young lady was so knowledgeable, way beyond helpful and a delight. I made 2 trips there in 3 days and was treated to the best cheese I’ve ever eaten and was able to bring the same experience to servers family members who live there. I envy them as I was just a tourist and won’t be back in Ft Collins. I was on the way to the airport and stopped to get some food and not the garbage the airport serves and this same young woman took the time to cut the selections I made into bite size pieces and wrapped each individually what service and I thank you very much. I was so impressed with her and the cheese I never asked her name, I am sorry for that!

This review will be a bit out of the ordinary. Last night, my husband and I were in Old Town with friends when one of our friends had a medical emergency just inside the shop. The folks inside the Welsh Rabbit were so kind and caring, checking on us during the time the paramedics were there, closing the shop to give our friend privacy, and then giving us hugs and words of encouragement and sending us off with a beautiful cheese plate when our friend needed to be transported by ambulance to the hospital. We wont forget your kindness and compassion. Thank you so much...we will return under better circumstances very soon.

Not helpful at all, did not offer any help or samples, but when the workers friends came in she gave all the information in the world to them about cheese and ignored us.

We were greeted by the very courteous owner who after a quick conversation about cheese gave us a sampler plate. The cheeses were unbelievable. I enjoyed how they provided some history about the cheeses. Great variety of sizes to choose from for purchase. We were able to purchase several delicious cheeses at very reasonable price.

I enjoyed my recent visit to the Welsh Rabbit. We shared the Popular Platter and we also tried the buffalo. Everything was delicious. Liked the quiet atmosphere as well. The staff was helpful, friendly and courteous.

We wandered in on a whim, and I’m so glad we did!!!! The owner immediately started helping us with questions and samples, he shared knowledge about how cheese is made, and even gave us personalized ideas for cheese based on our interests! The passion he had for the business made me more interested in cheese than I ever felt possible, and we left with some of the best cheese I’ve ever had! We even got a baguette and had a nice French lunch. I will be getting my cheese EXCLUSIVELY from the Welsh rabbit cheese shop from now on.

I went here for my 21st birthday. I absolutely enjoyed my experience at the Welsh Rabbit. Service was quick and attentive. I had a flight of wine and a variety of cheese and one salami. The serving sizes are much larger than the menu make them out to be. Three types of cheese and a salami made for a decent meal between my girlfriend and myself. Any questions I had were quickly answered by the wait staff and I even received a free dish of fine chocolate on account of it being my birthday. The place is well decorated and has a relaxing, warm atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Welsh Rabbit to anyone looking to enjoy fine food and wine at a reasonable price.

This is a fantastic shop with tons of variety and great staff. If you are looking for a specialty cheese, this is the place. If you want to go on a cheese adventure, this is the place. Hosting a party and want a classy touch of a really striking selection of cheeses, this is the place. I personally went in because I wanted to know what stinky cheese tasted like. It is great, and now I know that - because of the Welsh Rabbit Cheese shop.

I went here first with my friend and really enjoyed it. I took my husband today and he loved it. Nice wine, great service and delicious cheese. Very relaxing. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend.

This is a must stop for everyone in the area. Beautiful cheeses, salami and more. Definitely try the Ski Queen - I cant remember the full name of it but it tastes sweet like caramel and is amazing

One part cheese shop, one part cheese bistro. You can get hunks of cheese to take home, or sit down with a bottle of wine (very reasonable options) and create your own cheese flight (also very reasonable). They have a great selection of cheeses that is always changing. The owners and staff are extremely knowledgeable cheese geeks. Ask about flavor crystals--you wont be disappointed.

Delicious! Smoked duck salad was fantastic. The La Tur cheese is mild and creamy great for biginners. glacier blue is a mild blue. Happy he drinks end at 6pm.

Unfortunately, the Young man behind the counter was answering the phone taking money and cutting cheese and salami and hard meats all in the same gloves. Even without Covid being around, I find this unacceptable. I’m very concerned for customers coming in not knowing that they’re taking precautions.

A hands down favorite...not just in Fort Collins, but of all time. I can only review the bistro side because that is where I went first and now I have a hard time imagining the selections in my home, without the charm of the bistro.So, I can say that I initially went in for the wine and cheese, but the lamb bacon salad, with all of its balance and perfection, brought me back with husband in tow. We have become regulars and have not once had a disappointing experience or a less-than-perfect bite. It is a great place to slow down and enjoy a slice of time with a loved one and a few new friends.Fall in love with todays selections, with the staffs help, and keep coming back to find new loves as the menu changes. By all means, have some cheese and meat, but dont neglect to order from the peasant fare.

Hands down my favorite shop in Fort Collins...and thats saying a lot. The brothers who own this shop are the nicest and most helpful guys and chatting with them is half the pleasure of visiting...well almost half, I do love the cheese quite a bit! I can find varieties here that blow my senses, but can always count on my favorites being there when I need to wow dinner guests.
