Everything great! Many thanks to Graham at Music Go Round, FT Collins. Saw this online, called the store directly and spoke to Graham, asked for a description of its condition, and happy to say it is exactly as described. Packaged beautifully to arrive safely. Truly couldnt ask for better! Thanks again.
Music Go Round in Fort Collins is always the first place I look for music gear. Their constantly changing selection of unique, high-quality gear consistently brings fresh inspiration. They always seem to have whatever accessories I need in stock when I need them. And the friendly staff is ready to answer questions, yet allow customers time to browse without feeling pressured to buy before they are ready. Everything a music store should be!
We came in as a family to buy our first instrument for sixth grade. School started yesterday, thats our style. Shayla showed us each of their used trombones and shared advice about how to choose the correct piece. Shaylas calm confidence made us comfortable with what could have been a stressful purchase. Great options, honest prices, fantastic customer service. The horn blows, well be back.
Excellent customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. In particular, Kyle and Shayla stand out for their customer service. I regularly go in with questions as I am attempting to learn how to do certain repairs on my own. Thru have both spent time helping me understand basic concepts. When I get backed into a corner they have been able to provide prompt, quality service. GREAT STAFF! Highly recommend
I take my guitar there to get the strings changed because I dont like doing that and they are nice, they polish guitar up and everything. I also sold a guitar I dont use there today and got some quick cash. Was pleased with amount.
Music Go Round is the best! Ive gotten a ton of instrument and gear knowledge from everyone Ive talked to in the store. I just took my stratocaster in for a restring since Ive never owned a floating bridge guitar and I wanted to learn, and I was walked through the process fully and shown all the tips and tricks to making the process easy. Ian helped me out and was super awesome! They made sure I understood everything, and they took fantastic care of my guitar! Thank you, Ian!
These guys RULE. I decided to upgrade from a cheap beginner guitar and have been drooling over the Norman style. Found one here online and it was such a good price and in INCREDIBLE shape. No other guitar deal even came close to this price and quality (and I searched for three weeks before buying). Fort Collins music go round, thank you so much for the great instrument. I’ll be making memories with it for years to come!
Rad place! Great help finding exactly what I needed as a beginning guitarist. Best music shop in foco!
Best shop to go to for music gear in Fort Collins. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.
Best music store in Fort Collins. I just picked up two acoustic guitars I was getting repaired, and not only did it take about 1/8th of the time I anticipated, but it cost about half as much as well. (I should note that depending on the severity of the repair and how busy the guitar tech is, you may not always get your guitars back after one day, but thats obvious.) What I CAN guarantee is that youll be treated well by the staff, pay a fair price, and want to come back in the future. Kyle (guitar tech) is super cool and knowledgeable guy and Brandon at the front is as well! Im sure the same could be said about anybody who works there. Bottom line, shop at Music Go Round.
Came in with my wife yesterday. Picked your sign off the ground on my way in the store... someone thanked me. that was the only employee interaction I had in 10 minutes of browsing. Not a single person offered me help or asked me if I wanted to play anything. I was here to spend money. you have 500$ shecktor that would have been sold. and the 170 bass would have been also. and a wireless pickup system. but i felt like i wasnt valued, i grabbed a couple strings and left. oh well i guess?
This is one of my favorite stores in the Northern Colorado area.I drove most of an hour to get there today thinking I was going to sell something. Instead I wound up buying a guitar.Great selection and prices combined with very knowledgeable staff make a winning combination.
Pricey stuff. But good condition. Great service. Would love to go back and see what else I may want to get in the future
So glad I shopped local!!A great experience! Clean store, big selection and very helpful and friendly staff! I would definitely recommend stopping by Music Go Round for any of your musical needs!!
Brandon is great and also has a magnificent beard.
Great honest, knowledgeable workers. Offered fair/good price on my wifes used guitar.
Owner is hilarious, warm, kind and will always point you in the right direction. For a photo shoot, Scott Free Trades did a collab with Evolve Graphic Solutions and Joe C Cox Photography. Loved every minute of it. The store is clean, neat, and well spaced if you want to try anything. There are private lessons and a repair bench. Definitely give the pianos a try.
Great place to find Quality Used Guitars at a reasonable price they always have an awesome selection and its different every time I go in there
Awesome customer service, Shayla is awesome! :)
Excellent customer service!
Great staff and customer service. The instrument and gear pricing is done as fairly as you can ask, and the folks here will go beyond what most places do to provide you with personalized service. I highly recommend this Music Go Round location.
Thanks to the guy who helped us pick out a Ukulele today! Talking us into the digital tuning device was sooo key. She’s been at it all night and already strumming out her own little songs. Superb costumer service. Thank you!
They sell a great mix of instruments and the service is top notch.
Brandon and his staff are excellent. Ive traded stuff in, Ive bought used stuff, and Ive always gotten super friendly and professional service. They are good folks.
Went to get a guitar repaired and they strung me along with false promises. Said it would only take a week to repair. A week passes and I get no word so I call to check up on it. They lost it and hung up on me. I had to call back and they found it after half an hour of searching. Then they said the repair technician would work on it tomorrow and give me a quote. They didnt call me the next day, so I called them back. Said the repair technician doesnt work today but he would work on it tomorrow and give me a quote. Repeat two more times. So I decide to pick up my stuff after a week and a half and take my business elsewhere. Well, however they were storing it was improper because now my guitar is even more damaged! The wood is cracked around the screws now. I wasnt even offered an apology. Never going here again.
I have bought, traded,a and sold several items over the past few years. I have always found everyone to be helpful and truthful about their equipment and their offers. I love doing business here! Great deals and great people.
Music stores start with a competent owner and the Ft Collins Music Go Round has it! Brandon knows his clients and that reflects in the inventory and his handling of customer relationships. Great guy! The Ft Collins Music Go Round has always treated me great and that keeps me coming back looking for those treasures I sometimes didnt know I needed. Thanks MGR!
Great shop! I love this place.
Ive been a customer for a handful of years now. My passion is electric guitar.95 percent of the time, I find something in MGR that I cant pass up. Im always pleased by the pricing here, whether its pedals, strings, guitars, or amps. The staff is super friendly and the ones Ive come to know, make suggestions on things I might dig.I recently obtained a 90s JCM 900 head from MGR in great condition for the price, the owner had their amp tech go over the amp and tune it up. I find a lot of gems in their store, hopefully you will too. Great vibe, great people, great selection.
I love this place! Always fair prices and amazing customer service!
Great staff, very helpful. Great prices too
Super friendly staff!
Place was so awesome, we met the owner at Tony’s Bar off College in downtown Fort Collins. Professional staff, clean lay out. We actually came and did a promo shoot. Support your local businesses.
By far my favorite music store in Fort Collins! Amazing people, great service, and fair prices!
Asked about where to repair my amp, told him I had it looked at by a local sound guy that has been repairing amps for decades(including four of mine, which I was very happy with) but wasnt sure if I wanted to return it to the factory to be refurbished. The guy behind the counter(the manager) took that opportunity to bash the guy I went to(pretty excessively), and try to convince me his amp guy would be better than having it factory refurbished. It was rude, unprofessional and Im doubt Ill ever be back in the store.
What a terrific experience! Both Brandon and Mark even stayed after closing to help. They where very knowledgeable about the instruments that we needed assistance with and were able to provide advice and recommendations. I have an electric guitar that needs some TLC and I will definitely be bringing it to them for that service! Thank you guys for really making the experience that my wife and I had in your store enjoyable, and thank you even more for your integrity and honesty. It is refreshing and greatly appreciated.
Wow. These folks really know the products they offer! Their salesman Brandon Barrios knowledgeably answered my inquiries to the level of detail I was hoping for. The instrument arrived via UPS in under 48 hours well packed and precisely as described. Bravo!
Mr. Brandon Barrios:I went to Music Go Around today on purpose to give a local business my money rather than Amazon. I left right away, however, as your shopkeeper responded in an unfriendly manner that I was not wearing a mask. I explained that we are an asthmatic family and his ungenerous response was, Im an asthmatic, too, and Im wearing a mask. It is your prerogative to wear a mask and force your customers to do so, but it is also my prerogative to take my business where Im not forced to wear a mask that hinders my breathing and does little to nothing to stop the bad flu called covid-19. You just lost the $500-$1000 I was prepared to spend.
This place is awesome! I always find high quality instruments, gear & accessories, and the best prices around. The staff is amazing! Everyone is super knowledgeable, and willing to go above & beyond to help.
I went in to check if my scarlett 2i4 was working and to sell my korg kaossilator. they gave me a more than fair price on the korg and ran tests on my 2i4 to let me know it worked. they offered to test my microphone for me later on if i needed it, and i did. i went in, and one of the employees checked my cable and walked me through how he checked it and fixed it. upon asking how much he’d cost, he said it was free :) this is a great store with super vibey employees who do a good job, would definitely recommend
Its so great to have a Music Go Round in Fort Collins! Real musicians gravitate to stores where you can find buried treasure and great deals! Brandon and his entire staff are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly! I have bought, sold and traded lots of guitars and gear with M-G-R Fort Collins and always come away happy! Very welcoming environment for seasoned pros as well as musicians just getting started! Check it out!
This is a great store with great employees. I have purchased 2 instruments here for my children over the past year. They have been patient with me and my kids while we shopped. They took the time to teach us about what to look for in used instruments and asked a lot of questions to learn what we wanted before making any suggestions for an instrument to purchase. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who is starting a new instrument as well as anyone looking to improve their instrument collection.
So nice! They showed me how to change guitar strings and gave my guitar much-needed maintenance for $20!!!
This is the only music shop in Northern Colorado that I use. Brandon is a very knowledgeable and fair business owner. Prices are fair, Staff is great! Every time I come into the store the owner and the employees treat me like a professional and a friend. Fantastic network for any level musicians to find yourself involved in. Sometimes I come in just to ask questions, the staff is so helpful and friendly, it is always a pleasant. I buy all of my musical equipment here. BEST MUSIC SHOP IN TOWN!!!!
Great store for the working musician! Brandon and staff always treat you fair and square ...like to support local business !
Outstanding experience! My son was given a trumpet for band and we needed to get it checked out. After calling around, we decided to take it here. Brandon went way above and beyond to ensure my son was all ready for his first day of band, and told him step by step what he was doing and why. We will definately go back and I absolutely recommend Music Go Round!
Fort Collins music go round has a knowledgeable and helpful staff. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly to any musician or someone looking to learn music. From guitars, bass, drums and more, great deals and a large variety of gear awaits each visit. Buy, sell, or trade into another instrument or an upgrade. Highly recommended!
I love this place. They have great instruments, gear, and service for reasonable prices. Each time I go in the staff is always super helpful. My go to shop.
Great knowledgeable staff. I have purchased plenty of quality equipment from them. Recently, they adjusted the truss rod in my bass free of charge! I highly recommend them.
Friendly service, very knowledgeable staff. Call ahead to see if its in stock, and if not they can order it in for you. My first choice for Fort Collins music stores.
I bought a double bass pedal (at an amazing price and good quality) and two vinyls. When I checked out, they made sure the records were in the correct covers, checked to see if any parts were missing from the pedals, and made sure to give me the receipt. I give this place a perfect 5/5. They have everything you could possibly want and great prices along with great customer service.
I was a die hard for one of the other shops around until these guys came into town! Their knowledge, professionalism, and honest sales tactics are more than you can ask for from any other music shop around. These guys themselves are musicians and have never forgotten that along the way. I will continue to support them as long as their around, will recommend them to everyone I know, and if I could I would give them 6 out of 5 stars!
5-star first time experience . They were extremely helpful and responsive at all times, with a primary goal being customer satisfaction and satisfaction with the product . Pricing for the NS electric cello was OUTSTANDING. Will definitely keep Music Go Round in mind for future purchases .
I have bought three ukuleles and a guitar from Music-Go-Round, and the employees have been nothing but helpful and friendly. On top of that, they have the choice of inexpensive used instruments (great shape) or brand new instruments for slightly more. I would suggest Music-Go-Round for anyone looking for an instrument.
Holy hell this place is awesome. Walked in and these guys were hanging hard while also keeping it professional and being super helpful. Great inventory. I fell in love with a tele but unfortunately had to break her heart and go with an acoustic that I could disappoint anyone who hears me at any campfire with. Not only would I buy a guitar at Music Go Round, I will join them in their great fight to spread love and light around this incredible, but flawed world we live in. I will fight the good fight with you Music Go round. What an inspiration. I’m in tears writing this. Love is the answer.
Even though they knew that we werent planning to spend much on my daughters guitar, they took the time to help us and answer all of our questions. They even let us try the beautiful used cello they had. Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and good prices on a good assortment of quality used instruments; what else could you ask for? Brandon, especially, is a real peach.
Bought a harmonica set from here, very pleased. Also bought guitar picks for under a dollar. Reasonably and honestly cheaply priced resales!!
I absolutely love Music go Round. The staff is always super helpful and so friendly! I have found so many amazing cymbals there for crazy cheap! I just bought an amazing Zildjian cymbal from them and they gave me a killer deal on it. Thank you Music go Round!
Very friendly, professional, and have affordable prices. Took my sons guitar in for new strings and they also cleaned it. Looks like new again. Dont waste your time somewhere else, this is a great music store.
On 12/29/17 After searching several pawn shops and other music stores I talked with Brandon at Music Go Round looking for Wedge Monitors. Brandon searched his inventory and found a pair of legion monitors. These monitors made my system sound awesome. I got a great deal and excellent service and will be a repeat customer. If you are into music gear, Music Go Round is the place to go. Thanks Music Go Round for being the hometown community music shop.George Schmitz Jr
Best prices, amazing selection. I brought a drumset here recently and I love it to pieces. Thanks guys! Keep rockin!
Very helpful staff.
Ive been aspiring to learn drums for a few years now and music go round has helped me get my feet off of the ground since day one. The manager has been super helpful and helped me get a used set of cymbals (arguably the most expensive piece of a drum kit) for a killer price. ever since then they have been my go to for anything and everything. Their used gear is always at a fair price and the employees are always more than helpful. They are currently the ONLY shop I trust. And have proven to me they are more about helping the musician than they are about the payout. All in all I could not say better things about this store.
I went in tonight around 6pm to pick up some bass strings. When I walked in, I asked for recommendations on bass strings, as Ive only bought guitar strings before. The man working there didnt even come fully out from behind the counter to assist me and made a rude comment when I jokingly asked What strings does Geddy Lee use? (The bass player from Rush.)Honestly, its not about the bass strings, the inability to walk fully from behind the counter, or the rude comment and attitude. Its the fact that Im trying to support local businesses, and EVERY TIME I go to this store, Im treated as if Im an inconvenience. At Guitar Center, Im always treated with respect and courtesy. Its making it really hard for me to want to keep supporting this business when I know that Ill be treated better somewhere else. A small dose of customer service goes a long way.If they pretended they were happy to see me just once, it would make a difference. I wear the stores t-shirt, for crying out loud.
Amazing place. I havent been this excited about a music store since my first visit to a guitar center when I was 13. I was nerding out over something in just about every corner. Everything is priced fairly and the staff knows what theyre talking about. Wish I lived in Fort Collins. Id be here on the daily. Thanks for the help Daisy. Next time Im in town, Ill definitely be back.
Cool store
Harmony with Customer Service!!Brandon was extremely helpful and went over and beyond what my expectations were helping me tune and repair a pre-owned guitar. I highly recommend this facility for their outstanding focus on giving you the complete experience. As a Newbie, Green Pea, Amateur guitarist, I was intimidated by some of the other music stores in FOCO. But, this place turned made me feel comfortable asking for suggestions on strings, gear and more. Thank you Brandon and the rest of your team at Music Go Round, Ill absolutely be sending your referral business!!!
Awesome job on fixing up my guitar guys. You were meticulous and thorough in finding and solving the issue. The addition of a five stage switch, the rewire and middle pickup has given it a brand new sound that I am ecstatic about!!!! Thank you!!!
Great shop! These folks know their stuff and love what they do, cant wait to visit again and again!
Had good experiences in the past here both buying and selling but chose to offer me $200 for $1500 worth of bass gear. At least guitar center offered me 50% of the total worth. Avoid if you are selling. If you are buying check EVERYTHING over as much of the wind instrument stock has issues.EDIT: Went back last week to trade another guitar. The salesperson claimed that the neck was twisted (so they of course couldnt buy it) which was debunked later by a good luthier. I really want to like this store but they dont employ honest people.
I do not recommend this store. I have been a faithful customer for many years and tried to support local business, however this particular Music Go Round is by far the worst. I have brought in guitars and basses that I have played for years only to be told they have warped necks or something else is wrong with them. I have brought these same instruments to either Guitar Center (Fort Collins/Arvada)or the other two Music Go Rounds in Denver (Littleton specifically) and they had no issues and said all they needed was a little set up. While the owner is a good guy, the manager is completely un-knowledgeable and very rude. Also, their return policy is completely different from the other Music Go Rounds only allowing 7 days and in store credit only, and while they claim its stated everywhere it is not musician friendly as sometimes we need more time to see if equipment is going to work for us. Guitar Center is a much more musician and user friendly store, and I would highly advise taking the trip to the other locations to be treated fairly.
I wanted to upgrade my hi hat stand and was looking specifically for a DW3000 (2 leg brace) stand. They did not have one in stock but they checked around and found one in the Wisconsin store and had it shipped to Fort Collins.I went back in again looking for Roland parts for my V-Drums and they had exactly what I was looking for and were very helpful, even looking through bins with me to find clamps, brackets and anything else I could use.Bottom line is they have a friendly, knowledgeable team working there and their prices are very fair.
These guys rock! Knowledgeable, very easy to work with - a great place to geek out!!! Everyone there wants to help, and if they dont know something, theyll go out of their way to find you the answer. Rock On!!!Cudos to Brandon for developing a great shop!
Good deals and knowledgeable staff .
Hear ye! Hear ye! Come one come all to the best music store in FOCO!!!! Seriously If youre your new to the game, a local musician, or just passing through this is your place.
Do not sale or buy equipment from these crooks. I came down from Wyoming to sell my speakers which they said on the phone they would make an offer. They offered $5 for my speakers which sell for $400 new a piece. When I said that $5 wasnt a real offer I was cussed out so I left and ended up buying a guitar at Guitar Center instead of one of theirs. I have since sold my used gear online for way more than $5. These people insult your intelligence so they can rip you off for their benefit and cuss you out if you disagree with them.
Great Service and Fair PricingMy guitar was out of commission and I needed it ready for my upcoming gig. The staff at Music Go Round were Rockstars, helped me troubleshoot my guitars issues, and got me back in action in time.
Very captivated for how the owner runs the business. Our deal unfortunately did not go through, but the honesty, support and patience of the staff and especially the owner are making me strongly recommend this store. I will keep looking for used gear at their website as they just won my trust for business (very rare these days, especially for online stuff).
Awesome used gear for really reasonable prices. Excellent staff and very knowledgeable.
Great customer service! I came in today due to a sound system issue I was having at my business. Kyle helped trouble shoot my system and diagnosed the problem. I was sure I’d have to replace at least one component of the system, but thanks to Kyle, I figured out the real problem. Most amazing of all, Kyle knew that I wouldn’t need to purchase anything from the store and he still helped me out! Thanks!
They replied to my email questions in 30 minutes. Excellent sign of good service.
A little pricey for used
Ive bought and sold gear at music go round.it is a great place and all the cats there are very friendly and knowledgeable. check it out youll love the place.
These folks are always so friendly and helpful. I am a total noob and I constantly come in to pester the employees with dumb questions and they are a classy bunch. They have some great instructors also.
I purchased a Marshall 18 watt clone amp from Brandon through the Music Go Round website. Not only did they pack and ship the amp quickly to New Jersey but their customer support and service has been unparalleled. Thank you so much for everything!
Fun place to hang out and try some music equipment!
I needed an IEMonitor system. Branden helped research it and then ordered two systems. I bought one for a great price! Best deal and cool people. go here.
Great customer service. Can’t be beat!!!!!👍
Every time i go in all of the staff is so helpful and friendly! Their stuff is so great and affordable too. Thank you Music Go Round!
Incredibly friendly. Staff is enthusiastic and I was ecstatic about the amount of used, character-rich guitars. I settled with a crybaby pedal but fell in love with a couple of guitars. My new, go-to shop.
Very informative on trombones
Nice service, but if it wasnt clear enough yet its mostly just used gear and selling used gear, nothing else really.
Great customer service. Very happy with transaction!
Very helpful, friendly staff and a great selection of used instruments for students
Good music store but dont sell them your musical instruments - they value everything on ebay and offer you less than 10% of its value. Offered me $50 for a very old German violin which I sold on craigslist for $800 which was about the value of the instruments I could see them looking at to compare against on ebay
I purchased a used Tama snare drum over the phone from Musicgoround in Ft. Collins and had it shipped to Connecticut. I dealt directly with Brandon Barrios who went and got the snare for me and answered all my questions over the phone. He gave me a fair price and was both helpful and professional. The snare was shipped quick, well packed and the shipping costs were fair. I rebuild older Tama snares so when this one came in I took it apart for inspection and cleaning. It was at this point I noticed that the lugs had deformed under years of tension and would have to be replaced. This is an issue that could only be noticed by disassembling the drum. I called Brandon and explained the situation to him and he made things right then and there on the telephone. Well done and thank you for the good work.
The store has a wide selection of guitars, basses, drums, amps, and effects, ranging from ragged vintage gear to cutting edge new! The prices are hard-set and middle of the road, but unlike your average pawn shop, the products are very clean, and they all work!
Very impressed with the knoledge and professionalism of this shop. I brought in an autoharp that I aquires and they were quickly able to tell me about the model and the manufacturer. Although I choose not to sell it to them at that point they did recommend some awesome instructirs outside their shop..(which to me seemed weird because most places want you to use their teachers) but I really felt that they caref about me and my interest. This is the place I will be going to from bow on for all of my music needs....Thanks Guys!!!!!
Super helpful staff and lots of interesting gear for decent prices.
