I had a useless deck off my bedroom. Called Dan from A to Z and he converted a wasted space into an oasis. I didn’t think I had enough space for an awning. He came up with the perfect design. Good quality, did it in a timely manner and was responsibly priced!

Will not provide a written estimate for a 6 x 4 awning. Seek a more professional company.

I am having a similar experience to the other bad reviews below.I will be happy to remove this review once the company resolves the issues that I’m dealing with.We went with A to Z Awnings for the fair price and quick installation 2 new awnings and some protective awnings to cover our BBQ area. Just to be clear, the 2 installers that installed our awnings did their best and were great. The issue boils down to management and ownership.Issues started almost immediately. The installation guys did not know what the salesperson promised or sold me. They came with the wrong sized awning. They then wanted to charge me to fix and or replace the incorrect awnings. Luckily they didn’t press on the charge and properly corrected course, and came back the next day with the proper awnings. This screamed red alert, especially when they needed a check made to cash for half the balance before they would fix their own mistake.The installers did come back the next day with new awnings and installed the awnings as promised. However, they did not install enough fastening brackets. They gave me some string and told me to just tie the corners to the poles which is not a good solution.u2028u2028About an hour after the installers left the edge of the awnings were tearing from the wind hitting my granite (even while security tied).I immediately sent a txt message with images to Tristan, the sales guy. For 2 days he promised to get back to me, stating that he has a day off. Long story short, by the time Tristan was back at the office, my awnings had real tears in multiple areas. It became a major issue fast. I asked Tristan to call me, but apparently, I was not important enough. u2028u2028I also need a small awning installed and figured I’d ask them for this, and at the same time motivate them to fix the current issues with another sale. Triston txt me stating it would be at a minimum of $350 for them to come back but didn’t say anything about fixing the issues. I asked for a call, and nothing.I called and asked for Dan, the owner. He called me back and had the nerve to tell me that my awnings have some sort of whiplash and for them to come out, I’d have to wait 3 to 4 weeks for them to get the same material and then I’d have to pay for service. I told him that this was not fair but if that’s what I have to do, then be it. He couldn’t even commit to a date. I felt like he was simply trying to get me off of the phone.The more I thought about this the angrier I became. That’s why I’m writing this review. I had to patch brand new awnings myself. I should not be charged for service to fix an improper installation. I should not have to wait weeks for them to address this. When they made the initial sale, they had the material in days. They then corrected the course with new material in 24 hours. But to now leave me hanging with ripped awnings and want to charge me to service and fix them and now know when they’ll come back is not fair at all!u2028u2028I would not recommend A to Z awnings for this backward thinking about customer care and service.If they resolve my issues (without additional charge), I’ll then remove this review. Otherwise, be warned that this company has bad customer practices that should be avoided at all costs.Update: See owner response below. It says it all! Buyer beware! This is not a fake review. Im a real customer that has been totally led on by this class act company. Again, when the situation is resolved, as any reputable company would do, I will be happy to remove this legit review.

I was looking for a patio cover for my backyard. I was not sure what style of awning that I wanted so I called yesterday and spoke with Lori and we made an appointment for 1:00 pm for today. I was on my cell at 12:15 pm when I received a missed call. When I finished the call I called the number back and Lori answered. She seemed aloof when I told her my name and then she stated that she was in my area earlier but now she is headed north. I explained that the appointment was for 1:00 pm and I am home. She asked me what size awning was I looking for and I told her 12 feet by 10 feet. She stated that the price would be $2600.00 and was that what I wanted to spend. I explained that they have many products on their website and I have not decided what product would best suit my needs. She then stated that the price would be the same for all of them, free standing or attached to the house. At this time a red flag went off in my mind. It seemed to me that for whatever reason in her mind she felt that the consultation was not worth her effort. I asked her a couple more questions about permits and maintenance and I told her that I would get back to her if I was interested. Lori, I will never call you back because I just placed an order with another company. It will be installed during the first week of March. For whatever reason that you felt that keeping your commitment to me was not worth your effort. Please remember, never judge a book by its cover.

I love my new awning. A to Z Awning did a great job. Very professional, the owner came the day of installation. I would highly recommend them.

A friend of mine recommended a-z for my huge patio awning replacement . I have to say that the whole experience was pleasant and quality of work done was beyond my expectations ! The price was great and the people who work here are very professional . i would highly recommend a-z to complete your awning or marine canvass needs, thank you !

We arent going to be any where near your area for a while, so you can either wait until we get to it, or I can give you the name of the silicone to fix it yourself.That was the quote from the owner of the company unfortunately after a back and forth about coming to fix seams for the second time after a new install.We had our old awning quoted by 5 companies to replace. We went with A to Z based on time of completion, and they were the cheapest price. First of all, let me say the awning looks great. We are very happy with the way it turned out, and the color. That is the only reason, I have given them even 3 stars. Service was a one.Now the problems....They repainted the frame, and did a very poor job. Especially based on a full day job that took their guys approx 2.5 -3 hours. Still paying for what was costed out as a full day, poor job. We called to complain, and they touched up spots that needed to be redone. That doesnt count for the fact that some spots were not even wiped down, and painted right over the dirt, or flaking paint areas. I ended up touching up spots, that needed it. Unfortunately, 3 seams started leaking the next day after install. I called right away and was told they would get out to fix it the next dry day, and they had a lot of backed up jobs due to weather. It was after many phone calls..and several dry days, when they finally came out two weeks later. Im a business man, and if my client had a problem a day later with my product, I would not only have it taken care of immediately. But would have gone to the job site and made sure it was taken care of correctly myself. It had a very, you guys paid us already, we will get to it when we get these other jobs done and get paid for them. It was also very disheartening to be referred to a fine print contract, by both the sales person, and owner...several times, about replacing an old awning etc. This problem had nothing to do with the replacement and old frame. This was a workmanship issue. This also gives me no confidence, if I have a issue, it will be fixed, and not just referred to a contract. Instead of standing behind your work. After discovering a few days later after them fixing the seams.....there were leaking issues in some of the same spots, to a lesser degree. I called and talked to the owner again, and got the quote from the opening of this review. It is unfortunate, that with the world the way it is right now, were there is a pandemic, money is tight, and this was an expensive job to us, that there was not more effort to make sure we felt taken care of, or happy with their SERVICE.I hate having to write a review. But this is the ONLY way to let them, and people know how our job went.

From the initial phone call to the finished product delivered was excellent ! a-z will be the only awning and canvess company i will use from now on ! thank you dan for making this project of mine easy, and painless .

Dan and his team have been great to work with. We had 3 awnings installed along the house walls and one very large, free-standing awning put in as well. All look fantastic and add amazing style to the back patio and pool deck. The price was extremely competitive but the quality did not suffer at all. The team was able to get us on the installation schedule ahead of expectation and did everything possible to ensure a speedy process...including working weekends. I had an awesome experience with Dan and his son! They came out on time, provided a great quote and got everything installed in the short window we had. When Hurricane Dorian looked like it was coming for South Florida, I called Dan and once again he squeezed us in to take down our gazebo top. He is also squeezing us in between jobs to get it back up for us. Love A to Z awnings. Highly recommend them!

I had to replace an awning after we got hit by hurricane Irma (tornado). All the prices given by other companies were way out of line and over priced. Fortunately, I stumbled across A to Z Awnings, and gave them a call. Unfortunately, because of all the storm damage they were really backed up with orders, but I decided to be put on their waiting list (about 8-12 weeks wait), because their price was more than reasonable and I was willing to take the chance on waiting.Lori (the Office Manager) always kept in touch with me and was quick to respond to my texts. The company was still trying to catch up on orders, and even when bad luck hit them and set them back, she kept me informed.Finally, months later, I got the awning installed, and I’m beyond pleased with the results! It was definitely worth the long wait, and I appreciated Lori keeping me posted. A to Z awnings did a great job in my home about a year ago installing my awnings. Recently they advised me to remove them for the storm and contacted me as soon as they could to come back and reinstall them at a fair price. Dan is always calm and professional and always willing to make the customer happy with their results. No matter when you contact him he always gets back to you.

Got 14 awnings from them for my home and very happy. The awnings look great and provide a good amount of shade on my windows which helps keep the FPL bill down. I highly recommend!

Company promised 3-4 months max to complete job and ended up taking 5 and a half months. Communication on their part was non-existent.They rarely returned calls.We never received updates.Lori, our main contact with A to Z was extremely rude, condescending & uninformed.Only positive was installation went smoothly & never having to deal with Lori again.Only giving this review 2 stars since installers did their job properly and professionally.Zero stars for administrative service and Lori.If you use these people make sure to get completion dates in writing and a discount clause if they don’t finishing when promised.

Had a new awning installed. I am not very happy. The awning is stretched too tight in spots and too loose in others.I was told by sales person this is normal. I was told to look at pictures at their web site. The main issue I have is the awning was installed over an existing frame and the installers dragged the awning over the frame during installation and put six holes in the fabric. One installer put five little patches to cover the holes, one hole no patch.When I told this to the sales person I was told to read the contract, this happens and they are not responsible. So much for their ten year warranty on fabric and ten year warranty on workmanship.Now I have a new awning with holes and patches. Also, the installers left screws sticking out of the metal strip along top of awning that secures it to the wall. That was corrected after three phone calls.Last thing, the installers did not clean up after themselves,they left little pieces of rope all over the pool deck and when they dragged the old awning out they left a trail of rope pieces out to their truck. Not very professional.

This service is horrible and the drawings are terrible and also very expensive! I do not recommend them for any work.

Terrible quality awning and after only 2 years we had to replace the entire thing, the new awning is far superior, it made me realize what a sub standard product I had received from A - Z and when I called to tell them my awning was not holding up they gave me every reason why it was my fault and wouldnt even come to look at it. I sent photos and received absolutely no assistance. I would never refer this company!

These guys are a product of a previous failed awning company... like pool companies... leaving many many residents holding the bag not returning deposits. they have sub par people in the field working who DO NOT know what they are doing. they have sales reps, a warehouse and trucks with signs... that is not enough to make a company competent. check out the owner and see that he owned a prev company that went out of business. they suck

Recently chose them for an awning project installed December 2014. They didnt build it to follow pitch of roofline as agreed, which gave us a much shorter awning and has negatively affected other parts of the project. There also is a very bent metal support beam noticeable from the inside of the canopy.They said they couldnt do anything about building it to the wrong pitch except give us a few hundred off. The owner initial said they would address the bent beam, however, Ive repeatedly called the salesperson and the owner to address this warranty issue -- but the salesperson is rude to me and the owner wont return my calls.I never write negative reviews but Im very frustrated with the quality of our awning. We chose this vendor because they said they do all their own work in house - but it seems like the job got subbed out because the frame person that did the work couldnt identify the company name or owner when questioned mid project.Hopefully this gets addressed soon and I can remove this review. I really want to love my awning but just dont.Dan - please return my calls.______________Update May 2015 - after several calls they finally sent someone to repair the bent support beams but left them unpainted until we called again. After another two calls last week they sent someone to paint the areas affected by the repairs and Dan actually was very nice about this when he called us. He said theyd stand by it moving forward. However, paint job still very bad on the poles (peeling already). Still very upset about the fact that our awning is several feet shorter in height than we ordered and that they subcontracted this job to some unknown from Miami without my permission. If I wanted a one guy and a beat up truck quality out of Miami I would have paid alot less and hired one of those guys myself. Instead I believed Lori and paid extra for A to Z quality but didnt get it.

One of their selling points is that they will come out before a hurricane and remove the awning. As a first responder my time is limited to get my home ready for a natural disaster. I called them on 4 different occasions long before the hurricane came to schedule them to remove it. I spoke to them and they promised they would get out. They never called and never came!So if they try selling you on this service, don’t expect it when you need it.
