I called and sent pictures of job I needed. They texted back: We dont work on the board, We only do re upholstery, Price starts front $4500.I texted back : ok, can you recommend anyone? he texted back: No, Id(I left the spelling errors in)Well To quote an astronomical $price, and then not even send a customer to another upholsterer, is just poor business ethics. He obviously does NOT care about customers and ONLY money. I DONT recommend at all. Take your business somewhere where you are valued.

I had Rick and his company do a new cover for my 26 Pro Line. They did an exemplary job. The quality is the best Ive had in several boat covers and Ive had boats for years. The attention to detail was also excellent. When they say that they would show up to do work, they did so on time and completed the project on schedule and on budget. I recommend them without reservation.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE - over-delivered on my expectations!!!! - I was looking for a boat cover and found Canvas and Upholstery USA on craigslist. My initial contact was with gentleman named Rick. He had me take some pictures of my boat and send them to him and he gave me a very fair quote over the phone. When he came to measure my boat, his pricing was so good, I ended giving him my second boat. His communication was excellent and he always picked up the phone every time I called him and he was on time to the appointment. He gave me an estimated time for completion (much faster than anyone else I called) and he was actually ahead of schedule!. The quality of his workmanship and materials used was outstanding. This company went above and beyond my expectations (customer service, quality product and great pricing). I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and will use them again!

Rick did a great job on our canvas for our 32 ft Cruisers Yacht. We were pressed for time as our boat was being shipped up to Canada. He completed the job on time and on budget which was very important to us. When Rick completed our project he sent us lots of pictures so we could see it was done properly. We had a complete dodger with markolon windshield, camper enclosure with strataglass including all the stainless hoops made. It looks beautiful and I love the color. He then stowed everything safely inside the boat for transport.Rick was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him. Rick does awesome work. I couldn’t be happier with this boat cover. My old cover was made by someone else and it was time to replace it due to its age. Rick was very responsive to my initial call and eagerly met with me to discuss what he could offer.His covers are made with durable materials and impeccable craftsmanship. My cover was Sunbrella. The bottom hem area for the attachment points are double reinforced and the loop straps are very well stitched with backing material. The area of the zipper is also double reinforced and he incorporates a Velcro flap that completely covers the zipper to further protect it from the sun. The Velcro flap also serves to take some of the pressure off of the zipper. Rick also attaches the cover high on the T-Top so water easily runs off and has no chance to pool. Lastly, the cover goes all the way down to the bottom of the hull sides so the entire sides of the boat are protected. These are all of Rick’s standard offerings. I did not make any special requests.Price is always on everyone’s mind and I can guarantee that no one will beat Rick’s prices - period. You will be amazed and the quality of the cover Rick will make you for the price.Rick, thank you for the amazing work! I will be coming to you for all of my canvas and upholstery work. If anyone wants to see your work, feel free to bring them by. I’m sure once they see the quality and craftsmanship, they’ll know they’re in good hands.

Horrible experience. Do not use this company. Rick will rip you off. Was quoted a price of $2400 TOTAL reupholster my 24 ft center console. I asked Rick if that was the total cost to do all the work and his rely was yes. Was sent an invoice to this effect. Rick took the entire upholstery off and took it to his shop to do the work. 17 days later he calls and says that the job is finished and he would like to come to the house to install the new upholstery. He shows up at my home and informs me that he wants $250 to reinstall all the upholstery on the boat or he will just leave it in the yard. We spoke and texted back and forth several times during those 17 days and not once was there any mention of an additional installation charge. He said he forgot to mention it to me until he got to the house. After a heated debate on the ethics of this and how he never told me there was an installation charge i had no choice but to pay or he would have left the upholstery. This is totally unprofessional and unethical. Do not use this company. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Rick and his crew did an amazing job on my covers and sunpad. The fit, workmanship, and quality were 100%. Showed up ontime, returned calls, answered all questions. Customer service again 100%. Highly reckoned this great company.

Have to give credit where credit is due. I was looking for a full boat cover and custom T-Top cover for my Shearwater Bay Boat. After receiving 3 quotes from other folks in the industry, I found Canvas & Upholstery USA on Google. Did some research and read several reviews on this company. I wanted to get 1 more quote and gave Rick a call. From the moment he picked up my call he was extremely professional, answered all my questions, and we set up a date for he can come out and see the boat. Needless to say, out of the 4 folks that came to give me quotes, he was the only one that showed up on time. Every other person that showed up took no more than 10 minutes to measure my boat with a tape measure and immediately gave me what I considered to be a pretty expensive quote. Some of these other folks even told me they used Sunbrella but showed me a book with some other fabric manufactures name. Once Rick showed up, he greeted me with the same professionalism he demonstrated on the phone and proceeded to measure the boat. He was the only company that actually did a template of my boat to the exact measurement and length I requested before providing a quote. Rick took his time to make sure all my request were met. Clearly showing me how much pride he took in his work but most importantly showing me true customer service and attention to detail with all my request. When Rick, gave me the quote not only was it more reasonable than the others but also gave me a shorter time frame for the job to be done all while using the best boat cover fabrics in the industry. As he committed to, he came the day he said the cover would be done and gave me an overview of the finished product. He then gave me a quick training on how to properly put the cover on and off the boat, made sure the cover fit exactly as I requested, and also some basic instructions on how to care for the cover in the future. I am very satisfied not only with the quality of products used to make my cover but also with the attention to detail and customer service provided by Rick and the folks at Canvas & Upholstery USA. Totally satisfied with the service, a couple of days ago we requested an appraisal for our Yacht, we tried to contact a couple of places but this undoubtedly had the most timely response and in addition to by far the best price, once we agreed the conditions began the work and even finish 1 day before the agreed, totally recommended, in addition that it is managed by its owner which ensures maximum effectiveness and quality, if you need a Canvas job do not hesitate to contact them.
