Very good local Italian food. I came here for lunch and ordered a cappuccino and a prosciutto de Parma sandwich. The sandwich was very delicious and so was the cappuccino. A good little spot for a quick bite to eat and to grab a coffee. The service was excellent as well. I will be back here again for dinner and I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area.

I thought I reviewed this spot already but Google doesnt agree...Apologies for any duplicarion...😊Food was definitely delicious. We had the meatballs (OMG) and a pizza to start before our meals. The meals did not disappoint. I assume everything is either hand made or made to order.This spot is tucked away from all of the crowds of Los Olas and at the bottom of the apts I stay in when Im in town. Only thing missing is a cocktail menu...wine was the only adult beverage option and most of us dont drink wine.

I picked this place based on it’s wonderful reviews for my 38th wedding anniversary. We were a total of 4 people dining. Immediately we felt an unwelcome feeling and experienced a very cold service throughout our dining experience. The table directly behind us were definitely treated with a very warm service so it was possible for them to provide the same for us. It’s truly a shame because the food was great and the place though very small was cozy. I was hoping to enjoy not just my food but my dining experience for my special occasion. However the management seemed indifferent towards providing this positive experience 😏

I have to say, this family owned business demonstrates what real and traditional Italian food is all about.The restaurant/café is somewhat small, but it is clean and comfortable. The service is great, and you feel like you’re almost part of the family.I can easily say, their Homemade Tagliatelle Pasta with Bolognese was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. You could tell there was much care and passion that went into making the dish. Furthermore, their special dessert, a Torte with Marscapone, Slivered Almonds, drizzled with Caramel and Chocolate was out of this world; Homemade of course.Come check this restaurant out. You wont be disappointed.

Got lucky, sat at the bar because I just walked in without a reservation - make a reservation its a small intimate place and they fill up fast! Food was excellent - had the spaghetti alla carbonara - was homemade spaghetti and wonderful! Wine and service were great! Crusty italian bread with olive oil/balsamic vinegar with grated parmesan and fresh pepper! Panna cotta and expresso to finish! Magnifico!

This is by far the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in the area. It deserves to be well-known!I had the Spinach & Ricotta ravioli and you can taste the homemade pasta, which is perfectly cooked.The spaghetti Vongole, which my friend had, was served on an actual pan still sizzling and very flavorful.

A mere few blocks for the tourist haven known as Las Olas you will find Sapido. This very small but comfortable restaurant is owned by a couple who previously lived in Rome and gained an understanding of true Italian food. They focus on house made pasta and offer some wonderful wines. Great find off the beaten path. Worth a look.

Me and my husband would come here for dinner, and always gets the same unwelcome feeling,, it was never friendly—- specially if we have to ask questions, it’s like we are bothering them from asking about a certain item in a menu just an example. Food is oky.. simple Italian. Nothing crazy. Love the small cozy feel of the place. I just wish that they are more welcoming, not feeling that vibe.

I ordered the burrata salad and spaghetti alle vongole, I loved that the chef limited the sauce, instead of allowing the real flavors of the ingredients to shine.This is not at the place if you want Americanized Italian food. Here its about quality, not quantity.

Bread wasnt even fair. Ordered lasagna that came in a bowl that was soup and salmon very well done. Paid the bill without eating and walked.

We have lived in FT Lauderdale for 5 years and had no idea about this place . It was amazing, it’s family owned and the customer service is amazing . Our server was the owner’s son and he was very attentive even though he was serving most of the tables in the restaurant . Fresh food and great quality . We will be back !

Lovely neighborhood restaurant. We started off with the caprese salad. It was phenomenal! My Spaghetti Carbonara was delicious. My husband had the bolognese and the tiramisu he was super happy with his meal. The service was also very good! Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Had the pleasure of being there for dinner with my children. I had spaghetti Vongole and it was the best clam sauce EVER, and the clams were cooked perfect. I had it medium heat and it was perfect. I order this from time to time at other places and get disappointed with the over cooked and chewy clams. SAPIDOs does it to perfection! Thank you to the owners and staff. Our family enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this restaurant on our last night of our vacation. The host/waiter accommodated is even though they were full. We sat outside on a beautiful evening and served us the most delicious spaghetti meal I have ever had. Food was amazing.

Small family owned Italian restaurant located just of the beaten path in downtown Ft.Lauderdale. homemade everything. 2nd time i ate here. Lets just start by saying I traveld all throughout Italy and can happily say that there food is as good as back home. Mom dad daughter son all work together harmonisly gathering and placing food down at your table as we indulged in the night. We live in downtown and ate at all Italian restaurants in the area. We are lucky to have some really great ones. Sapido ranks in the top 3 for me. We are lucky to have such good Italian food considering south florida is such a touristy place. Also considering how restaurants are losing this covid shutdown or should I say showdown. Definitely worth a try and supporting local mom and pop restaurants. Cant wait to return here for another meal. All I can say is never try never know. Prego

Hidden gem in Ft Lauderdale.By so far one of the best Italian restaurants that I tried in Fort lauderdale.

Recently had dinner at this gold mine of a find! We had a wonderful cheese and meat platter with a wonderful salad and main meal that consisted of pumpkin ravioli and spaghetti al pomodoro. Add to it an amazing bottle of wine and the whole experience was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Fabulous food, exceptional service and priced right! We were staying at the Fairfield by Marriott (just a block away) the night before and the night after a 14 night cruise. I can’t believe that dinner at Sapido was the best meal we had in the 16 nights away from home. We looked forward to having dinner here WHILE on the cruise!!! VERY reasonably priced as well. Two of us split a Caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, I had one glass of wine. The entire bill was around $25!!!! The owners were just lovely as well. If you’re lucky enough to be in the area, go there. If you’re lucky enough to live in the area, go there often.

Really good homemade style Italian food.

We came in yesterday for the boat show and we were lucky enough to eat dinner at Sapido.The food was fabulous and fresh, the service was excellent and you can’t beat the atmosphere of this wonderful restaurant. Food wine beer, everything was true authentic italian and delicious! We highly recommend this gem and would give it 6 stars if we could. This will definitely be the first place we would come to when we come into the area.

I am very fussy when it comes to eating Italian food out because I make it myself . Their lasagna it’s so amazing I have to have it at least once a week . I make an incredible lasagna but I do traditional . They do it with a béchamel sauce, no cheese. It’s different than mine but delicious that’s why I love it so much . Cathy is So Welcoming that you feel like you are family! She makes me a special lemon vinaigrette dressing Gorgonzola cheese and Romain lettuce Salad with tomatoes onions and cucumbers that is to die for.

I adore this restaurant! They have splendid dishes, their menu is decent, The chief cook in that restaurant is well trained, I love very much eating all their dishes. The food is consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the clients is helpful. I often go to this restaurant and I not even once was disappointed. I recommend it to all.

Terrible customer service. I arrived with reservations on a rainy night on time. An empty table inside was available and the manager refused to allow us to sit because our reservations were for outside. She has an attitude and when we decided not to eat at this establishment anymore she decided to walk outside to confront us more on the empty table inside. Terrible terrible experience, I felt judgment walking in the door very unwelcoming...

Literally the worst delivery experience of my life. They forgot half our order, I called the restaurant, the staff were rude and didn’t even know about the delivery app we used (Seamless, owned by grubhub). They hung up on us the first 3 calls, then they tired to blame the delivery guy and told us that the missing food would be delivered, which never delivered it. Never got a refund either.This is a joke of a restaurant and am surprised they still operate with this level of customer service.

Almost all food imported from Italy. Best owner, Chef and staff. You honestly are treated like you’re in their family and their best friends. I have never tasted food so desirable and delicious. I literally crave it always and I have never tasted such authentic Italian cuisine. They teach me the Italian language and their true hearts are in their homemade meals. Lots of love here!

Really wonderful experience. My husband and I popped in early on a Saturday night, around 6pm. They sat us right away and we ordered 2 apps, glasses on wine and pasta for our main course. All the wonderful reviews got us here. Within 5 seconds I was pulling out my phone to see if we were in the right place. Ive never seen such cranky, unwelcoming staff. A man who was obviously stressed and a teenage girl who is in desperate need of proper training. We were one of many upset tables. I saw one table walk out and the waiter never even noticed. I held out hope for the food but... It was only ok. The Mediterranean food board was a complete waste of money. Ugh. Oh well.

Decent food, terrible service. How do you make gnocchi so well and then serve it with a flavorless sauce!? Lasagna was great besides the lack of red sauce. We had to bully our way to get a table, to even be acknowledged by the staff. The place was not that busy. Order an appetizer and it came out with our entrees. Garbage

What a chic new Italian place. It looks like a small spot in Miami. Very tastefully done inside. From what I was told, one of the main owners sold his part of the business and moved on. So now the food/service may be different than I went last. Most of the food was B, B+ to me, but I have friends from Italy who were obsessed with it until the new owners took over. They havent been as frequent since.

Now open under new management - So if you like the American Version of Italian Food you should stop reading now. This is an Italian Restaurant serving real Italian cooked by real Italians.It tastes like what you find in Rome and it is awesome! I had a huge salad and my wife had a thin crust pizza. The food was delicious and the owner came and sat on the steps and talked with us for 10 minutes. He was super nice and passionate about his new restaurant.I highly recommend this to foodies who like authentic food.

Good quality ingredients. Had a problem with paying the check. I got someone elses tab. They had to retrace my card and prepare the check again.

Went to checkout this place because it had such a good rating. Its a really nice and cozy place, but the service was disappointing. We were 4 adults and 2 kids. They brought half the order and totally forgot about us. One kid did not get his pizza for a whole hour, and the rest of us were sharing the cheese plate we ordered as an appetizer. We had to tell them about our order 3 times, and not once did they apologize. At the end we got our food and I can only say that the food was ok except for the carbonara, which was too salty and all I could taste was the pepper.
