Everything is amazing about this store, from staff to service to collection (bikes as well as accessories/tool and clothing).Very reasonable prices, have updated inventory on their website also.Located on 9w a very popular stretch among the cyclists, shop has nice outside sitting area and a cozy café.Most of my interaction was with Zaire, However other members are nice too.

I have repeatedly tried to contact this store regarding an overhaul to my bike after the week I was told it would take to complete the work. It is now the end of the second week. I have attempted to contact the store 4 times via e-mails (two from my google address, once using the stores own e-mail system and once using the stores chat account) and have yet to receive an answer. Calling the store has been fruitless. This is a far cry from the service I used to get here when I thought it was one of the best stores in the NYC Metro region. Perhaps the store has simply become a victim of its own success and no longer feels the same need to provide service to customers.I see the owner provided an update. Tough to call the wrong number when you use that provided on the website (which had an automated response that no one was available to take my call -- although, to be fair I did dial 2 for service and not 1 for sales) and left unanswered is why no one responded to my e-mails other than to say that I would get a response the next day when the store opened (I did not until I posted my initial review). However, as an update, I dropped by the store today, picked up my bike (which had been immaculately overhauled) and got the same 5-star service I was accustomed to getting there (I had a new saddle installed and the staff went the extra mile in doing so). My takeaway? Show up in person and you get phenomenal service. Otherwise, it is possible that things will fall through the cracks...I am revising my review from 1-star to 3.

Super rude staff! I called the shop to ask if they repair my kid’s bike and the staff who answered my phone was very blunt - his answers were all in one word like, ‘yes’, ‘20’, ‘2’. I went there and no one greeted me. A couple of people were chatting at the cashier, so thought they were a cashier and customer. The guy who was chatting with the cashier turned and just grabbed my bike without saying anything. When I asked if he works there, he said he was the one who received the call. I told him the front tire was flat and he took it to the basement (again he didn’t say a word). I followed him through the stairs, and he put his hand up to me without saying a word. I figured I wasn’t supposed to go down there, so just waited until he came back. He dropped my bike near the cashier and disappeared without saying anything. Even the cashier didn’t say a word until I asked how much it was. What kind of customer service is this???? Why are you treating customers like this? Because it’s only kid’s bike repair for only $20? Because I’m Asian? What is it?

I bought a bike from them, actually ordered it in November of 2020, the bike didnt come until May of 2021, but it is the best bike I ever owned. The bike shop was very courteous and helpful throughout the whole process especially because it took so long to get. Now less than 90 days later, I was in a crash and the bike was destroyed, Nelson reports he say the video, thanks to all the Dominicans on the ride!!. I called specialized for a crash replacement and told me to deal directly with SB. It was impossible to get through to Specialized to confirm, but Nelson spoke to his rep and was able to confirm for the replacement. This shop is excellent and really goes over and above to help. I have nothing bad to say about these guys, and if you are in the market for a Specialized Atheos S-works, this is the place to get it. Thank you so much Nelson and Strictly Bicycles!!

I just want to say a huge thank you to the entire staff at Strictly Bicycles for always taking care of me!!!!! I went in today for what I thought was a flat. The staff checked my tube turned out to be a loose valve stem and they also noticed my saddle was loose. They corrected both issues on my bike. I have only been there 3 times but every time I go they always make me feel like family to me customer service goes a long way an extremely long way and these people it goes much farther!!!! Shoutout to C.J., Nelson and Joanna and the rest of the staff. I wouldn’t give them 5 stars I’d give them a million if I could!!!

After placing my bike order with Strictly last Nov, my bike finally arrived. Dealing with Nelson and Xavier (and everyone else here) have been a great experience. Also purchased a bike rack and it was assembled for me so I could transport my bike home safely. But the customer service AFTER they sold me the bike is what sets a bike shop apart. And they didnt disappoint. Had to bring it back in for a fit tweak (and other questions Ive had) and everyone here has been supportive and friendly and knowledgeable. They have a customer for life.

First person from Strictly that adjusted my bicycle overlooked a chain link issue that caused an accident, broken derailleur, and dented frame.Owner seemed understanding and agreed to fix my bike and correct his shop’s error since his work is “guaranteed”. Two weeks later I called the shop and was told the work was completed. I went to the shop to pick up my bike and noticed they had done nothing to the frame and didn’t even replace my chain. I asked why no work was done on the frame like the owner had promised and the response I got was, “we don’t have enough time for that.”On top of that, my front derailleur wouldn’t shift from the big ring to the little ring after their “completed work”. I had to do my own research and set my own limit screws after this professional bike shop worked on my bike.I wanted to like this shop but I will never go back there and I highly recommend taking your bicycle anywhere else - couldn’t be more disappointed with everything about this business.

I had a great experience from the very beginning to the end. Ordered a Pinarello bike through there website which wasn’t in stock (Website did specify out of stock) but after speaking with a rep through chat he mentioned it would be back in stock in 2-3 weeks. I placed my order for a specific color and frame size and 1 week later they told me shipment had arrived with the new bike. It would take them 1-2 days to build since they had a lot of orders. Before the end of the day I received an email notifying me that my order was ready for pick up. Upon arriving at the store, I was greeted by Nelson and other staff members. Within 10 minutes I was on my new bike getting fitted. After mechanic made some adjustments, I also upgraded ny wheel to a new Enve wheel set. From Pricing to customer service to online experience I must imply, these guys are the real deal. Benjamin was beyond helpful and patient with all the questions that I had. They also told me if I ever needed any adjustments in the future to stop by and they will take care of it. Will continue doing business with these people for the years to come. Thank you Nelson, Benjamin and staff.

This is a great bike shop, but the only problem is they lack some of fundamental bike shop accessories like ULocks. But they have a great selection of bikes. First time visiting strictly Bicycles, read really good reviews so I stopped by today. Wanted to see how much $ it would take to get me into a decent road bike with all necessary clothing, shoes, helmet, etc...Admittedly I was a little taken back by the price of some of the beautiful bikes there. After speaking with one of the sales person, they provided me with so much information that I knew I made the right choice in going there. I was able to get the right bike for me especially the right price. Amazing experience! I could definitely see myself really getting into riding. Not to mention how good it is for me. At the end of my experience I find out the person assisting me was the owner! Want to thank everyone on helping me today. I’m sure you were tired of all my questions. After my bike was assembled, one guy actually rode it in the store towards the counter and gave me to take it. So I asked if they arent going to fit test or adjust the bike for my height, and the guy just looked at me for few seconds and lowered the saddle without any measuring involved. I had to adjust the saddle height again because it was too low for me. If you are getting into cycling, I would not recommend this location. Not recommended for newcomers.

Very poor customer service. If you are not a hardcore biker in an outfit who came to buy a $3,000 bike, youll be ignored. I came 6 years ago (not in an outfit) to buy 2 things: a bike for my 8 year old daughter and a hybrid bike for myself. We spent at least 30 min unattended. Then, finally, I said that I came to spend over a thousand $ here but if they preferred me to go and spend it eslewhere, they were welcome. Then one of them reluctantly went to show me bikes. In reality, he was either unable or unwilling to provide answers to my questions so that the general feel was: buy whatever you want. I was very disappointed and we didnt buy anything from them. I heard similar stories from others: if you are not a regular who hangs out there, you are ignored. That was 6 years ago. Had to deal with them again now because of a recall. Nothing changed, unfortunately. They had me wait for almost two weeks in the middle of a summer. Then forgot to call me to tell me the bike was ready. And didn’t even offer physical help to my wife when she came to pick it up.

I have read their reviews most of which are pretty good. Our experience was awful. I own two Parlee bikes and know a little something. We bought an entrance level for my 35yo son with Ultegra. I asked for 11/28 and they installed 11/31, maybe that has a higher profit margin. On asking for the cassette exchange the owner stated he could ride in the alps with the 11/31...he is riding however 9W and hills in Maine. We rode together yesterday for the first time in Maine and his saddle (he is 6 I am 56) was lower relative to the frame than mine. We switched bikes (we have the same pedals and shoes) and I was amazed at how off his saddle was. Was this a custom fitting??We will go to the local bike shop up in Augusta Maine to get this corrected. They also did not install the trip computer or tires (Vitoria) we had requested.A sour taste for trying to use a local NJ shop...will return to my NYC store next time.

Wow!! I started out looking for my first road bike at various bike shops in North Jersey. Most shops had good customer service, specific bike brand selections, and a mom and pop appearance. Strictlys just took all those attributes to the next level. First impression was that strictlys was a high end bike shop in Fort Lee that a beginner cyclist like me should only be window shopping at, but the reality was much different. As I entered strictlys, i instantly felt welcomed and greeted by multiple friendly staff members. Besides the cappuccino machine, snack bar, modern appearance, and amazing broad range of bicycles, it was watching all the other customers interact like family with the staff, that made me realize the nature of this place. Cyclist obviously go to strictlys for way more than just buying or maintaining their bikes. Its a social place of gathering for the community, and international cyclists alike. To keep this short, since my first visit a couple of months ago, i am super happy with my assisted selection of a first bike. Nelson, Malcolm, and all the other staff members are awesome, attentative, and knowledgeable. I have been go Strictlys like 10 times since, just to hang out, acquire a few upgrades, and attend a few cycling events. It has become a part of my life. Thank you Strictlys for delivering a culture of cycling that is second to none. Oh, and what you all really want to know is how are the prices, right? The owner is fair on pricing. Discounts from MSRP on last years models, and he will throw in a few discounted items with a purchase of a current years model. Overall, good value and bang for your buck, it really all depends on your overall cycling goals.

A few weeks later against my better judgement I returned. This time I was looking to get sized for a bike. Now on this day (Monday) the place was completely dead. 4 employees and 1 customer not including me. So I figure cool Ill definitely get service this time, boy was I mistaken. I was not acknowledged when entered and walked in past three employees. Again I made sure to seem very interested in buying a bike (feeling the weight sitting on them etc.) One employee was helping the guy that was already in there and the other three were doing absolutely nothing. This went on for about 20 minutes and again I gave up. What really irritated me was that on the way out one of the guys was chatting it up with what seemed to be his buddy that arrived while I was there. They were standing in the doorway. I walked right up behind them and made sure my presence was known. I expected him to slide over but nope he just kept on chatting. Dude! Youre in a doorway! So finally I said excuse me and he managed to move like 5 inches to the right. I basically had to turn sideways and squeeze out between them. Again during all of this time on both visits I was never acknowledged once. I highly recommend not visiting this bike shop...

You should never lie to a customer! These people told me they would sell my bike for a small fee, witch I agreed to.They kept my bike there for 6 months and kept telling me that no won was showing interest. So I sent my friend in to ask for the used bike selection specifically asking for a road bike witch a had. My friend said he showed him all new bikes and did not even show him my or anyones used bike. After my friend came out I went in and asked where they showing my bike.It was down stares for six months. When I got it it was filled with dust. When I asked the owner about why my bike was down stares he just lied right to my face and said we just put it down stares. These people are dishonest and way over priced. I put my bike on Craigslist and sold it in two days. I was told that the owners do not care how they treat the people because of the location where they are at. they will have three more customers for everyone they lose. WHAT A THING TO SAY. To all my fellow bikers stay away and safe ridding.
