Been to this location multiple times and have never been disappointed. They have great flavor options for their donuts, and if you follow their instagram account you can learn beforehand what their flavors of the week are. They have recently started to make bubble tea as well and it was great. My favorite donut flavor has to be the Strawberry Pebble or the Ube.
I’ve had different mochi doughnuts before and by far this is my favorite. If you’ve never had one of these then you have not heard of the hype. The doughnut is chewy, pillowy and soft. The different flavors give the doughnuts its own personality. I haven’t had anything bad so far, all the flavors they had is delicious.Overall, come in and taste the hype. It’s not your typical doughnut. This is something different, texture and flavor-wise.
Corn dogs are really big - worth every dollar. Tried the ube bubble tea - very good. All the mochi donuts are great.
Love love love these donuts! Such fun flavors and they look really cool
Mochi donuts are so yummy. Always get 12 when I come here.
I’m not too crazy about the donuts, especially its high price for a dozen of mochinuts. Mochinut has a different consistency and very chewy compare to regular donuts due to it’s rice flour based. Would I come back for it? Maybe not. The staff were very rude, considering that we got close to 6 dozens of mochinut.
Mochi and donut in one! Best combination ever! That chewy donuts top with your favorite flavor is what you need with your cup of coffee or tea!Location: It is located in Fort Lee. The store is small, there is a great display of available donuts at the counter! You will want to buy everything!Service: no interaction, just buy and go!Food: Everything was so delicious! Omg thinking about it I want to come back! All the flavors are to die for, it has its on uniqueness! Flavors from left to right: Coffee, Matcha, Black Sesame, Taro, Strawberry Pebble, Mango, Milk Tea, Cookies n Cream, White Choco Raspberry, Black Sesame, Nutella and Churros. Buy 1 dozen so you can try all the flavors!!Price rating: 7/10, the price matches all the deliciousness! Not bad for all the goodness.I will come back here definitely when I go back to Fort Lee! Try all the flavors because they are all good!🍡➕🍩
My experience here started off terribly. Not only are they rude (there is one nice lady), the food is a little over priced. I dont mind the donuts because theyre good but the Korean hot dogs are something else. They tasted so bland and the hot dog was overly beefy thats really all you can taste, even with the flaming hot Cheeto part. I really thought that from all the hype it would be good but its not even a 1/10 for me.
Given that I love chewy desserts it’s not a surprise that I really love these mochi donuts!Note that they do not have ALL their flavors available at one time. I was disappointed by this deviously brilliant tactic because this meant that I’d naturally have to come back to try the flavors I really am curious about like the taro, ube, etc.FLAVOR: Not too sweet, which for in my advanced age I’m coming to appreciate.I particularly enjoyed the black sesame and matcha ones.I didn’t know mochi donut providers had become a thing until just this past weekend. From a quick Google search it looks like right now there are only two Mochinut locations in NJ, with the other being in Norwood.Given that they’re franchising and mochi is finally becoming mainstream... gets a guy thinking haha.In sum: these are my new favorite donuts. If you like chewy desserts that aren’t too sweet, give them a try!
I discovered this new Mochinut bakery a few days ago on Instagram and I am so happy we took a trip on New Years Eve for 1/2 dozen of sweetness. The drive was 15 mins away. The store officially opened up in September 2020.Lots of parking on the streets and on a side parking lot.We read some reviews before hand and had some hesitation about the quality, but definitely more excited to try this out first hand to be my own judge since Ive only dreamed about it when my friends were posting about these sweet treats from the West Coast.1. The donuts were DEFINITELY fresh when we visited on 12/31/20, 2:30pm. I highly recommend checking on their Instagram account for when they release the new donut flavors for the week to ensure you get the freshest mochinuts!! Some reviewers even mentioned about stale donuts. Not sure why?! The oil used for frying wasnt stale and each bite of our selected donuts were soooo chewy.Their baker was still taking out pans of donuts for replenishment.2. Due to the nature of the chewy mochi-like texture, this dessert will retain oil, similar to a sponge, during the deep frying process. So I understand why some reviewers commented on this being a greasy donut. TBH, I am not expecting a Keto donut. I expect there to be lots of calories per serving and this is definitely NOT a healthy treat. So I didnt mind the grease. This is a fried donut, not baked. There were excess oil when I intentionally squished the donut. Fine by me and we will return again :)3. Be expected to pay $3 per donut. Its expensive, but ideal for those once-in-a-while visit on special occasions. My flavors:blueberry, red velvet, cookies & cream, ube coconut, raspberry, matcha.I recommend all those flavors lol, so delicious. Cant wait to visit when they have the taro flavor again. I am a big taro boba fan, so a taro mochinut is a must try.
My husband and I stopped in one day. We wanted to try 1 donut and buy more if it was good but we realized they had an order minimum! They make you buy at least 3 for $8.85 which I have never heard of. The lady behind the counter was a little pushy asking us how many we wanted-how many each? I need to pick the right box when we were the only ones there. Whats the rush? Anyway we decided to take a chance and ordered 1 yuzu, 1 fruity pebble and 1 churro flavored donut. I would expect for that price that the donuts would at least be warm but they sadly, were not. We ate the fruity pebble one and thought it was just good. We saved the other two until we got home and threw them in our air fryer (350° for 3 minutes) and that was a GAME CHANGER. They were reallly soft and chewy. I was expecting them to be crispy on the outside but they turned out soft and I actually liked that texture. I think the shop should get a warmer and keep the donuts warm if they have them already made and people would be addicted! I would come back if I am in the area.
Donuts look cute but an unpolite cashier who is a kind of old woman seemingly like the owner of store. I feel offened when she got an order. I asked one extra bag to split half dozen with my friend but she said no bag! In korean. Besides she taps taps taps table during I was opening my wallet. Very irritated. Also they sell donuts before drying flavors on the top. When bringing those donut it was ruined. Bad experience. I wouldnt be there anymore.
I usually don’t like donut. American dessert is often overly sweet and lack of creativity. Only traditional donut I liked were voodoo donuts and doughnut plant and if they are freshly made on the same day. I had mochi donut 8 years ago from Thailand Bangkok that time it was trending there. Now it finally made it to US. I Love the chewiness of mochi but it’s not like your are chewing gum it’s more the Al dente texture which is lovely. I was unsure about the flavor glaze cuz they all look food coloring and pastel tone. but surprisingly every flavor was spot on!! I went on Mother’s Day, there was a short queue, but worker was efficient, and all donuts are freshly made on the glazing rack. I got Oreo, mango, red velvet, yuzu, sesame and ube taro. My fav so far from the half dozen was sesame, mango was delicious too. The sweet and tart glaze offsets the greasiness. I don’t mind the price. Also easy to share with others with the ring beads design and small portion less guilt.
Very interesting and delicious donut place but super expensive
Been to NYC East Village location. Good korean corndogs.
We got there a little before noon but they were already serving donuts. They sell them in 3, 6, 12 (and I assume singles). The website says they typically have 21 flavors, for the soft opening, they only had 4 and 2 of them werent on the list. Today:-Black Sesame-Churro-Matcha Oreo-Strawberry PebblesThey are described on the website: Mochi donuts are Hawaiian style donuts that mixed with Japanese mochi and American Donuts. We had to get 6 since we wanted to try them all! My favorite was the Strawberry Pebbles, my daughters was the Churro. We have no comparison of these since weve not tried them before but we did enjoy them. The design of them lets them be pulled apart easily making them really good for sharing. They had a nice crispy outside with a chewy inside.
Not the most obvious place to find but definitely worth the search!Mochinut is located inside the DuPan bakery. The donuts themselves are crispy on the outside soft/ chewy on the inside and are not overly sweet which I totally appreciate.I expected to find pieces of mochi inside a donut batter but the dough for these Mochinuts is smooth and very pleasing to the pallet.
Yummy donuts with great flavors. My favorite are the matcha and oreo.
Great donuts with beautiful presentations. Staff was very nice as well
Donuts were good but the older lady had a bad attitude. It was my first time going in there and I asked what kind of drinks do you have and she told me to turn around and look for myself. (I didn’t know there was only canned drinks) the website says they have boba. I also asked if I can get a hotdog she said “no.” I asked her what do you mean no? And she just ignored me. I still got 6 donuts because I really wanted to try them but your better off going somewhere else because this place lacks customer service. Cross the bridge and go to NYC.
Theres definitely variety, but it feels very rushed and social media driven.... I prefer Kai Sweets Mochi Mochi in Mitsuwa instead because they cater more towards service than trying to sell the donuts out asap.
Awsome yummy doughnuts 🍩 best around, love their bubble tea
Mochinut opened at the end of September. We were excited to try Mochinut’s donuts. It is inside a Korean bakery.Although Mochinut menu shows tons of flavors (24 flavors!), but they only offer a handful of flavors a day at this location. I don’t know if this is how they are planning to operate, as they are small shop, or they are just testing out different flavors until they can get all the flavors sorted out? It seems that they offer different flavors at each location, which is fun!We got there when they opened, and they didn’t have any mochi donut… We asked the staff, and she told us they will be ready in 30 minutes. We decided to take a walk for 30 min to kill time. After 30 min, we were told they will have all the flavors ready in another 30 min… So, we killed time for total of one hour, and went back. They finally had five flavors, plus “plain”. And the flavors were different from advertised on their social media. Two of the flavors they advertised, Black Sesame and Matcha, were not available, which we were very disappointed about…Well, what can you do? We got all the five flavors that they did have for this day. They sell them by three, six, and a dozen. They placed the mochi donut in the plastic container, which are more of less airtight. With the heat and steam coming out of the donut, I don’t recommend the container to be closed for too long. Otherwise, they get too much moisture from the steam, and get soggy quick. The coating was more sugary than anything, without big flavors. The donut itself was good, fluffy and chewy in a good way. Not as chewy as other mochi donuts places. The only one that we really liked was Coffee donut. The flavor of the coffee was really present, not bitter but not overly sweet, just right.Overall, it was not worth waiting around one hour outside in the cold for...I prefer the ones from Mochimochi inside Mitsuwa much better.
Absolutely love their mochi donuts. Best to get it when it is fresh!
If you want something new, this is the place to goto!Get yourself mochi donut, which is not typical donuts you will get from bakery. And also now they have special corndogs!! you wont regret the visit
Great alternative to regular old dunkin’ donuts. I tried almost all available flavors and my favorites were mango, coffee and milk tea.
Its really tasty when youre craving sweets, but I feel its a bit more expensive than it should be.
Mochinut in Mitsuwa is still the best I thinkbut this one was not bad too
Unique twist on a donut with awesome different options of flavors
Kind of overpriced for what you get. Which is a very cute but overly sweet(for a donut) pastry that is basically a soft wafer.
So good always go here when Im close to it. Always a hit when I bring it over someones house.
Donuts were okay. Super pricey and kind of basic for what it’s worth.
Great donuts! The prices are up there though, so be aware of what youre getting into. Worth it for special events, but maybe not a regular thing.
The donuts were super chewy and sweet. The Nutella donut sent me into another dimension. It was so delicous. The employee was also very kind and explained to us each of the donuts. 100% I will definitely go again.
The food is good, rude lady ruined the entire experience for me.
Mochinut are absolutely delicious!! I unfortunately have found them to be addicting.. Lol
Yummy donuts awesome crispy outside perfectly chewy inside. Friendly staff too. =]
The food is 5 star for me but the cashier was rude, impolite, and impatient! I took stars off because of the lousy customer service, but I really enjoyed the food!
Great alternative to the donuts were used to. The dough itself is really chewy and the toppings have the actual flavor of what youre ordering, so if you have a mango mochinut youll actually be tasting the mango which is a personal favorite of mine.
False advertisement. they said that they had Korean hot dogs which we were really looking forward to... and we were so disappointed when they told us they don’t have them. i have never been this disappointed in my life. i wanted those dogs so bad. i hate my life.
Love the donuts little pricy but has natural
The donut was very oily and the flavor tasted very artificial. Recommend the one in mitsuwa more.
Mochinut in Fort Lee is amazing! I heard about this place and drove an hour just to try them, and they exceeded my expectations! The donuts are deliciously crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Highly recommend!
My wife likes these better than the store jnside Mitsuwa. A bit on the chewier side but thats how we like it. Flavors were very good.
Delightfully soft and full of flavor
A little bit pricey but definitely worth it. Usually not a big fan of donuts other than Krispy. Kreme. These donuts on the other hand are an experience of their own. I’d recommend the fruity pebble donut. really changed my life.
Korean bakery has variety of mochinuts. I ordered 10 donuts and paid almost 30$. Prices are very high. My kids love them, however service is horrible. There are 3 ladies who I always see at the store and 2 of them are very rude. They expect you to make decisions on your donuts fast and are very irritated when you ask questions. They will rush you even when there is no line behind. I will try to avoid this place and revisit in a couple of months. Hopefully things will change.
The best.
Expensive doughnuts but really different from others. Its nice to have once in awhile.
Very delicious donuts. Various flavors, always fresh.
I went in there was no greeting by the employees. The service was terrible I went today a got three boxes and asked for a bag. She denied in giving me a bag saying there are none while right behind her she had bags. She’s a very stubborn lady. The prices were outrageous not that I can’t afford, the service, the interior being very dirty, and the flavors they offer are not worth the money. All in all, go to Mitsuwa for mochi donuts. 110% do not recommend this place.
Didnt expect the donuts to be quite this good! They are delicious
These are expensive, but absolutely worth it. Amazing donuts, the bread was like a thick zeppole and I got the tarot icing which was thick and rich and amazing.
A bit expensive but definitely worth it
The dough is much closer to what Im used to in my childhood than to what is currently being sold as donuts by major chains. We also felt that it was too wet and cold, so one has to warm them up or bake a little more.
The black sesame flavour alone is worth buying the 3 minimum order.
Donuts are good but service is terrible. Im sure the service isnt always this bad but the 2 guys working didnt say one word to me the entire time I was in there. Flavors are okay and the best flavor I tried was the ube but the next time I want mochi donuts Ill just go to mitsuwa in Edgewater for better service and better flavors.
The male staffs service is so rude and terrible service.
Great mochinut, nice veriaties.
Donuts are not sugary, just the right amount of sweet. Indulgent flavor options.
Fanatics flavors and experience. A must try if in the area!
Amazing and unique flavors never thought possoble but here we have it...they are delicious!!! They are located in Dupon bakery in Fort lee, NJ. Great bakery by the way with one of the best coffeee i tasted. Love them!
Great glazed donuts. Bit pricey but worth it.
My sister brought some doughnuts from here home and they were delicious and baked perfectly!
Such fun place and delicious donuts
Rude, rude, rude.I don’t want go again.
Awesome donuts and coffee.
Nice people
Its more than a donut... ü
Great selection of Mochi donuts
Amazing food!
The donut is really good!
Pricier than I thought it would..
Not worth the price
