On a rating scale of 1 - 5 STARS, I give Fish Tale Marina 15 STARS! EVERYONE treated me and my wife so well - way above expectations! Customer service and care at its finest! We rented a Cobia 22 for a sightseeing trip in the Gulf and it was one of our best experiences ever and definitely the highlight of our vacation in Fort Myers Beach. Our boat was clean and in good working order - no issues. They also have some great looking pontoon boats. If ever in FMB again and in need of a fun boat, I will definitely give my business to Fish Tale Marina - I suggest you do the same!

Rented their 21ft Tritoon for 6 people and all the boats are all under powered for their size. They put 70hp engines on these tritoons and its not fast enough to get it on plane. The other boats were passing us and their wakes were tipping us. We returned the boat 2 hours early because we werent safe and not having fun. The reason, I was told is they want to save on gas. The other guy at the counter asked where was everyone sitting in the boat? really? Shouldnt be a question for a 21 ft Tritoon that is intended for 10-12 people 🙄 . I dont recommend renting here.

Fish Tale Marina Boat rental staff rude over phone. Seamed like they didnt care if they got our business. Called us to cancel our booking at closing the night before due to broken down boat. Didnt offer alternative even though we booked plenty in advance.Glad it didnt break down on us.Ended up booking with marina up the road who had well maintained good quality boats and customer service for a lot less money. .

Being from Nevada Everytime I get near a Marina Im in awe.

Their website says to call them about their availability for same day tours, so I did. The chick on the phone sounded condescending and won’t let you finish a sentence, as she has a answer before you can ask. Maybe the other review on here about customer service is about the same lady. I can’t speak for the quality of the tours as my only interaction with this company was a 30 second phone call which was quite negative

We had an absolutely fantastic experience renting a boat from Fish Tale marina. The staff was very accommodating and the boat worked as expected with no issues. It is important to watch out for sandbars. Really great experience in thanks to everyone working there who helped make our day great!

We rented the 25 tritoon for a full day and we had an absolute blast! The check in process was seamless and the staff was extremely helpful assisting us in figuring out where we would anchor. The boat was in perfect condition and comfortably fit our party of 13 + coolers/toys/towels etc. It was reasonably priced and we will definitely book through Fishtale Marine again the next time that we visit!

We took a Fishing Charter and he was docked here, the staff was super friendly! The manager saw me walking to the strip mall in front of the Marina, stopped what he was doing picked me up on the golf cart, drove me over there, waited and drove me back.Thank you, great Customer service🎉🐟

We had a great trip with Phil of Pica charters and caught a lot of fish with over 10 varieties. Very clean new boat and responsive captain. The gift shop was full of awesome clothing and goods. The bathrooms are very clean. Took a few filets the captain cleaned to a nearby restaurant to cook for us.

Absolute nightmare of a rental! We got the biggest piece of junk of pontoon boat. No radio, the boat launch front end sunk underwater twice and the engine literally was racing the entire time. Fish tale marina ruined our day and even made us pay for the small amount of gas we used In a broken boat. Not even an apology. Stay away their customer service is horrific and at least the boat I used was even worst.The kids were horrified from the nightmare experience. Buyer beware

Unreasonably turned away yesterday when trying to rent a boat, very rude response from the lady in the front, normally someone is apologetic when turning business away due to “Weather” meanwhile no one else on the island stopped renting their boats, but again the lady just kinda shrugged us off and told us we were beat. Like how rude, defanitly will never take my business back here in the future, BONITA BOAT RENTALS IS AWESOME. Go there instead

Nice boat rentals, we rented a boat all day 830am to 430pm, sundays they offer $100 off on the all day rental $275 so very competitive prices,$330 after fuel and prop insurance, great people to deal with. Get the prop insurance if youre unfamiliar with the area the tides change and you never know what you dont know until it presents itself. My family had a great time beach hopping.

Rented pontoon boat best time ever

Rented a boat and it broke down as soon as we got into the back water. Fish Tale brought us a new boat right away and then did not charge us for the rental or the gas we used boating all day. They turned a potentially bad day into a great one. Highly recommend.

We Enjoyed it so much. We got to see lots of dolphins! So exciting! Our second year doing it.

On Tuesday of this week, my wife and I took the sunset dolphin cruise. The captain and the tour guide were nice and knowledgeable. We saw lots of dolphins, seabirds, osprey, a beautiful sunset, and really enjoyed the 1.5+ hour tour! We had a good time, and felt the nominal ticket fee was a bargain. We would highly recommend this cruise.

I really enjoyed my first off-shore charter with Fish Tale Marinas Captain Bill and mate Vinny from the 38 Fish-n-Tails. They provided an affordable and fun full-day fishing experience which resulted in a load of grouper and snapper. They were informative, helpful, and supportive with all facets of the fishing experience. I will definitely do it again. Give them a try.

This is the 2nd time weve eaten here and it will be the last. The food is fine but the menu is unimaginative. Four of us ate lunch here which including one child and we had no drinks. The small portion of mac and cheese for my grandson came to $10 - off the childrens menu. My daughter ordered a market price fish sandwich and was charged $25. I ate the least expensive item on the menu - a $13 hamburger. When the bill came it was $68. The pricing in this restaurant is outrageous. Go to Hickory Grill, Turtle Club or the Lighthouse (all three on the water like Fish Tale). The food is better and far less expensive.

Great experience staff very informative and helpful. Got back a little late because we got lost. They were a bit unhappy but no extra charge! I would definitely recommend .

Great food quick service and beautiful location

The people that work here are great. With that said, their boat choices are rather limited and not updated. We took out a 22 ft. Pontoon and promptly got stuck in the Bay mud. They did not warn us that there was an extremely low tide coming up and we literally had nowhere to go without finding ourselves in 6 inches of water. The boat had no paddle, no pole, no depth finder ... really making things difficult. Also, you are very much limited as to where you can take the boat. You cannot go in the Gulf. You cannot even go under the Pass to the beach. We were stuck about 1/2 mile away NE of the marina and when we called we were told we “were outside the rental area”. What? As I said, there is a very narrow area you are allowed to go, and if it’s low tide 90% of that is inaccessible.

After renting boats from Fishtale for years and always being extremely satisfied and happy, this year was a disappointment for many reasons. We rented a 22’ bot online prior to arriving for our vacation and when we arrived to pick it up we thought something was “off”...they were extremely short handed and the customer service we have grown accustomed to, was no longer. We were met with rudeness and impatience. The boat was dirty and many things on the boat were broken- the inner cabin door didn’t latch (screws fell out) and was constantly opening and shutting the entire day!! We had to prop it closed with our cooler. The center windshield would not close either- it stacked on top of the window on the opposite side. The back door - the same! When we returned to the dock at the end of the day we were met by an extremely rude deck hand!We rented another boat two days later- same short handed staff and disappointing experience. The boat was never cleaned out from the previous renter. We have loved our years renting from Fishtale but wonder if times are changing and if we should look elsewhere. On a positive note, we did experience one pleasant employee. George was polite, kind and helpful- thank you George.

I needed my boat hauled due to dock work at our complex. The yard crew was very helpful with setting the trailer up for the boat and took great care with positioning the boat on the trailer. The crew even gave me a ride back to my complex . Awesome guys and the cost was very reasonable.

Dolphin tour. Captain was sick so we had an inexperienced tour guide. Saw 3 dolphins in channel/harbour. Fun to watch! Our guide was chatty & we learned of his favorite restaurants....humm. He was a sub & did his best. Happy we saw dolphins!

We took a pretty good Dolphin Tour from this Marina. Small, but its a small island. Nice, clean shop, well stocked for fishing gear, as well as snacks. Really nice stuff but no bargains are going to be found here. Nicely appointed restaurants however-always a plus!

Out standing people and the service was dynamite, we (8 of us) had such a wonderful time. Fish Tales is now our go to rental place, we couldnt ask for better service. and ill definitely tell all my friends and relatives and anyone in ear shot just how great this place is.

We went out today with a group of Friends on a trip around the Bay and a seining adventure. We couldnt have had a better time! The crew was knowledgeable and we were really impressed with the Florida native plantings around the very clean, neat and inviting marina. The crew was very respectful of the wildlife we were lucky enough to encounter on our trip: dolphins and lots of roosting birds (frigate birds, herons and egrets of all sorts) on the mangrove islands, and of the species we encountered on the seining portion. I would highly recommend these fine folks for any of your marine adventures.

The cruise around Estero bay was very nice on March 4, 2019 at 1:00pm. However, we went on this cruise to see dolphins and that didnt happen. Captain John amused all on the cruise with background of the bay. But at $27.00 per adult I could have gone to the library and researched that information for much less.

Beautiful and well kept. Have been going to this marina for years and years. This year I would like to make a little suggestion if I may. Weve noticed a fair amount of plastic bags & trash around in the water for the 1st time! Perhaps having some nets available for anyone to use when they see this could help. People cause this so why not have them also help out. ♡ Just a thought

We rented a pontoon on 3 different occasion during our month in FMB. In all cases, the staff was personable & welcoming, providing great guidance. And the boats were in great condition. Highly recommend!

Boat was banged up; cushions ripped, gauges didn’t work, engine when pushed over 2500 rpm sounded like it wasn’t fully in water. Bought a dozen shrimp and so small that they didn’t even stay on the hook...we were told ‘that’s what we get’...no empathy - truly disappointed! Service and products have been going down. Sorry to say...

We bought our 2003 Grady White new from Fish Tale in 2004 and they have always provided outstanding service. Frank, the service manager, is always available to answer any questions and his service writers listen and address any concerns. They have also provided me names for canvas issues and detailing. Five Stars from the Huffman family!

Rented a Pontoon from Fish Tales on 4/10/16. What a great experience. Each person on the staff was friendly and accommodating. Even gave us a few directions as to where to beach and possibly see dolphins. The only complaint we had was the exterior appearance of the boat (Looks like the DVD cover of Finding Nemo) however, the inside of the boat was perfect and ran great all day for what we needed. Would definitely recommend using Fish Tales for your boating needs.

Rented a pontoon boat that was in terrible shape. Gas gauge, Speed gauge, and battery gauge did not work. They had an aluminum danford anchor which would not hold the boat. We were trying to fish and ended up wasting two hours returning to the marina to get a new anchor. They did not believe we had a aluminum anchor until I showed them. Then they replaced it. The manger response, an anchor is an anchor. A boat returned at the same time had similar issues. BEWARE.

We had Jason as our “captain”. Wow. What an awful experience. We lost over 30 Hooks because the fish kept biting them off. We only brought 1 fish in during our 5 hour trip. That actually doesn’t bother me that much as much as his horrible attitude.I’m not a pro fisherman, exactly why we paid to have someone take us out.The first fish that bit I was reeling in and of course the line broke (97% did). I asked him “is there a way to prevent the line from breaking?” His reply was “well the fish have teeth” in a totally smart A manner. Seriously?!A) I’m not a pro fisherman. Exactly why we’re paying you to take us outB) You didn’t answer the questionC) Don’t mouth off to your clients who are paying youWhen I was asking for pointers on successfully reeling them in he continued his smart aleck and condescending manner.Not only that but he managed to accidentally hit the boat on a bridge pillar even with the trolling motor on. The people on top of the bridge fishing were laughing at us.So basically he was terrible and was condescending as hell.Worst of all worlds.Take your money, experience and time anywhere else.

We went on a sunset cruise. The Captain was friendly and informative. He also made sure we were able to see the dolphins up close. For $25 it was an amazing deal.

While searching the internet for a dolphin cruise, I came across the Estero Express II, and Im glad I did! I was able to book the cruise the day before we wanted to go, and we had an amazing tour guide (I believe his name was John.) It was kid friendly, and a very gentle ride. We saw dolphins and manatees, and we learned a lot about the bay. I would highly recommend this dolphin cruise!

Got there at 6:30 pm as instructed, waited until 7:45 pm, no Captain ever showed up to pilot the boat! First mate was sweet and kept apologizing to the 30 or so who were on board! Stay away from this tour!!!

Great marina for Fort Myers boat rentals. We really enjoyed the 22 Cobia dual console with 200 hp Yamaha outboard.The staff is friendly, professional, and proficient at their jobs. Our boat was fueled up, clean, and ready to go for us. The rental process was easy and pain free.

I am happy to say I have been a winter customer of this place since 2002.On an exploratory mission in 2001, I stumbled across this place while searching for a place to store my boat for the winter. From the initial introduction I was greeted with courtesy and respect. (and to the naysayer out there, I dress like a fisherman not a wealthy tourist) Since then I have made many friends there, and always look forward to a wave or a welcome back from the staff who will not only recognize me but get my boat out of the barn without even asking. This is by far the best run marina I have encountered anywhere, not just SWFL. Congratulations Al and Kathy youre the best of the best! keep it up.

These people have horrible customer service! They are super nice when you are going to pull out your wallet, but if you have any issues, they are rude and will not give you any money back. Total rip-offs! Go to another marina and save yourself some grief. They are very dishonest people. I wish we looked up the reviews before going there. Obviously, they have issues from reading all the negative reviews from other customers.

My wife and I stopped in and asked a couple of questions about a charter. We were in old, comfortable clothes and perhaps not the picture of wealth.Our questions were unanswered and we felt ridiculed and treated in a mean spirited manner.To top it off we were laughed at.I can take a joke, but we are both of the opinion that this was a snooty, mean spirited experience.Anyone shopping here might keep this in mind. If you smell of money you might be treated better than we were, but you are dealing with folks who do not have the decency to treat you with the respect a customer deserves. If your curiosity is diagnosed by Fishtail as stupidity or you dont look to have the means to spend money, you might be like us and see the real Fishtail Marina.Dont think its true? Throw on some old clothes and ask a question fitting of a novice. See what happens.

Great sunset tour! We took our 4 girls on a sunset tour and we learned so much! Who knew FMB had so much history! The girls loved watching the dolphins we see regularly from our condo, from the water! We saw a glimpse of a manatee. The best part was when the captain let each and every kid drive the boat. My girls couldnt stop smiling and laughing. It really got all the people on the boat to enjoy each others company. After the tour some of us even went and got ice cream together. We love vacation friends! Thanks for an awesome and memorable evening! We will be back!
