After a family members strong recommendation to visit Prestige for all of the maintenance on my BMW 335i I was very pleased with my experience. Professional service, fair pricing, and you can ask them anything and they will provide you with an honest answer. Will be returning in the future.
This is one of the best mechanic shops in ft Myers. Gil,the owner is one the very knowledgeable, ACE certified,Car imports mechanic. He literally knows everything theres to know bout cars.education and knowledge takes time and money, and mechanic time, labor and price is money. This place does great work, with pride. They know their trade.enjoy.
A nightmare of an experience - don’t do it - don’t waste your time or money! This business is unprofessional and the owner is psychotic. The mechanic is nice and friendly (and honestly if he was the owner, I wouldn’t be writing this) - but he’s not - his mother in law is- who I never really saw, except once when she decided to yell at me about something the mechanic and I had already discussed (yes, she was angry and without cause). What happened? We repaired a few coils on our BMW and halfway down the street after paying and leaving, it stopped working (another coil) so I had to go right back and get it fixed - I knew I would have to pay for more parts but of course no labor fees again because I had just paid for labor 30 min ago - However, this mean woman brings it upon herself to start yelling about labor fees while I’m sitting in the lobby, how if that happens again there will be another labor charge no matter what - at which point I’m floored because (1) why was she being so rude and yelling at me (2) who are you because I just talked to the mechanic, who’s doing the work, and everything was fine, no drama (he never mentioned charging again for labor, he actually said I’m sorry you had to come right back) and (3) where is your customer service? Her behavior in those moments was atrocious - but after the mechanic, her son in law, apologized again - I decided to let it go, maybe she had a bad day or didn’t know the mechanic and I spoke... (I actually asked the mechanic to step outside and questioned why she was being so mean to me, he said sorry again and I went back in to finish paying) - BUT the next part is why I’m here reviewing the entire experience - after the last repair the mechanic told us we had a few more coils that may need repair - and we hoped to get that started last week, so we took the car to the shop for an oil change on Wednesday - they did it - then he said they had to order the parts for the coil repair and would call when everything arrived - well they called today, only to say they won’t work on the car anymore because of the “last time”.....well, you could have said that before we did a $108 oil change with you a few days ago - because no one wants to spend their hard earned money at a business that (1) has a owner who likes to scold customers 2) overcharges (3) lacks accountability (4) and is now refusing to repair the other coils because of the “last time” — Did she mean the time last time we had it repaired and had to come back within minutes to fix it again, that time? The last time when she was rude without warrant? That time? — Shame on Prestige for this unprofessional behavior and shame on us for trying them again after knowing the owner was off. If you’re in the Fort Myers area, visit Performance Motor Werks on MLK - no lady behind the counter yelling at customers, better pricing and real customer service!
I have been going to Prestige for about 8 years. I have had several Volkswagen TDIs and it takes a highly trained and competent person to properly maintain and repair modern Diesel engines.Gil is professional, very knowledgeable, an excellent mechanic as well as honest. The work is always done correctly the first time and at a reasonable rate.I highly recommend Prestige without any reservation or hesitation.
Just moved here from out of state was in Florida for less than two weeks before I had a problem with my 04 BMW. I had a great mechanic back home that I trusted and was worried about finding a new one. My old mechanic told me what questions to ask my potential new mechanic P.F.C. answered all questions correctly also they use all OEM Certified Parts which is very important. When I arrived they gave me a no BS assessment on how long it would take to get the repair done and the cost. They were quicker getting it done then they said and had me right back on the road. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff I will definitely be back in the future for all my vehicle maintenance and repairs.
I have been going there for years. They are one of the best...they are very honest and wont RIP you off like almost like all the rest...
Had an issue with my 83 Mercedes 240D, a motor mount disintegrated and was causing insane amounts of vibration. I took my car here after an over the phone estimate which was very reasonable, they replaced both motor mounts and the old diesel rides smooth as butter, just like a new car again. Thanks much for the great service, I will be back if I need a mechanic again!
Gill is honest, hard, working, and excellent Nd what he does. He doesn’t rip you off like the dealers do
I retired several years ago after being a mechanic for the last 25 years . I know what and how I just dont want to do the work any more . Prestige is where My cars go for any and every automotive need . The work is always top notch . Getting what I paid for is important . So is having a mechanic that you trust for both integrity and honesty . Good Fair and Honest need I say more . Wayne Dryden
