As a resident of SWFL for 45 years and a Army Ranger Veteran who believes in honor and integrity Volkswagens of Fort Myers used car department has neither. Sales manager was disrespectful and the GM clearly does not have the time to return a phone call. Car buyers beware if they are going to treat a customers poorly at the purchase wonder what service is going to be like. I guess it’s back to CarMax never had any problems there.

The tenant Erin Greene, only informed me of the the labor fees which summed up to approximately $500. When I got there I was given a (approximate) $760 bill. I explained to them that I was only aware of a $500 bill… I should’ve taken evidence of the conversation, to back my story up. This is highly unprofessional of Volkswagen. Take evidence of all your conversations so u can back your self up and not just go by word of mouth.

We just bought our daughters car at FT Myers VW. We are super pleased. Our sales rep was Gary and he was great! He played no games, gave us a price and honored it when we came in. We have bought many cars from other dealers, and really dislike the game many sales reps play going back and fourth with the managers. Therefore, we are very pleased that Gary respected our time and got us in and out very quickly and with a good deal!

This was my first time buying a car from a dealership. I have to admit that I was really nervous. But thanks to Duante my whole experience was wonderful! He listened to my needs and as well as my parents needs. He was very helpful and not once did he pressure me into doing something I didn’t want to do. His friendliness and insightful ness was a huge help! He also didn’t show me cars that were out of my budget. From now on I will come to your dealership!!
In March 2021 I bought a 2021 Jetta. At first my experience was amazing, but the second I left that turned around. My engine light turned on about an hour after I left the dealership. I went back and they acted surprised and said they couldn’t fix it and it was waiting for an update that will be out in a month from Volkswagen. It’s been three months and still NO update and my engine light is still on. I also got all the service reports and there was one stating there were issues with the engine light prior to my purchase, yet I had no idea about this and they acted as if they had no idea why it was on. Throughout the past three months I have been back 4 separate times other than the engine light issue for different issues involving my oil light, and all my oil was drained from my oil cap being broken the first time and they said it was my fault and I should’ve payed more attention to the lights even though when I called the service department they said they would call me back and never did so I finally just brought it. After this I have been back for the same problem 3 other times. They say they have finally fixed it yet I believe it’s only a matter of time until it happens again. They have been little to no help with rude remarks from the salesmen saying “It’s not my fault I’m just the guy who sold it to you, don’t be mad at me” while I was just asking for him to help me figure out where to put the key for overnight drop offs since service was closed. He acted like he had no idea who I was and when I proceeded to talk to him he revealed he did by that exact comment. I also have heard remarks from the service department saying “well that’s just life” on the fourth time I brought it back. I understand things happen yet when I spend around $20,000 on a car I expect it not to happen. When sitting in the department and waiting for my car a mechanic walked out and talked to another person working and they were saying that they were just going to turn the lights off on the car because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong and give the car back to the women. They have been nothing but unprofessional and absolutely rude to me while I have tried to be patient and understanding yet after the 5th time of coming back it is getting hard. It has been a nightmare to try and make sure my car is safe and I still feel completely unsafe driving it around. Currently the engine light is still on, and we purchased Volkswagen because it is a safe and reputable brand. We are very disappointed.

I was not looking forward to getting a car, as my last experience with a dealership I will not mention, was horrible. At VW of Ft Myers, every single person was kind. The battery died in our 2019 Passat so my husband went and got a replacement. Once the battery was in, all the warning lights were on. We called the service department where we have spent hundreds of dollars overthe years and they told us we had to bring it in, put it on the computer and be charged $40 to reset it. When my husband started it again, all the lights were out except the check engine light. We called them back and they still said we needed to come in for a service call. I called Superior Auto in the Cape and they advised us to start it again. Apparently you need 3 cycles of startup and driving to reset the car. This worked and it saved us a 2 hours and $40 at the dealer. Miguel is my new mechanic from now on.
Eric at VW is absolutely the best salesperson! When I came looking for a specific Tiguan, he didn’t stop until he had the exact one I was looking for. His attention to detail was one of the reasons that I made the decision to purchase from him. He is very good at what he does and knows all the vehicles inside and out. I highly recommend asking for Eric when shopping for a new vehicle and especially if you are in the Ft Myers area!

Dealership was a ghost town. While it was nice to look at vehicles without anyone bothering you, when it’s time to actually look inside one or get any help you are better off elsewhere. Had to go inside and we met by a rude receptionist who had a “Yeah can I help you?” Attitude after hardly looking up from her phone. Was told no one was available and it would be a while before someone could help. To top it off vehicle that was interested in had the wrong price on it completely. Only found this out by looking up the Vin when I got home. Between the poor customer service, mislabeled prices and horrendous website, skip this one and go somewhere else.

VW of Fort Myers has a really great service department. I am sure that everyone there is good but Erin is who Im familiar with. Dealing with car issues can be so frustrating but Erin is patient and so helpful, she is knowledgeable and trustworthy when she suggests what should be done to my car. I would take my car here every time if she is handling it.

Front desk was very polite and helpful,The service technicians did a very poor job washing the car. I went in for an oil change and to rotate my tires. As soon as I seen the poor job that they did washing my car my mind was not at ease. My family’s safety is my number one priority. I knew before leaving VW dealership I needed make sure that the bolts on the tires were not loose I also check for any caps that might been forgotten to tighten or to put back . VW is not keeping up to their standers. And that’s why I’m rating 2 star .Very disappointing
Volkswagen of Fort Myers, namely salesman Michael Itkin, made what is normally a difficult experience a pretty seamless one. There were no high-pressure sales tactics from Michael, just a very informed explanation of the 2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport and its many trims. He had no problem with me needing the day to think over my decision.I came back the next day and sat down in his office ready for any kind of tough negotiation. Again that wasnt the case. Michael and the staff worked with me to get the price down as close to what I was willing to pay. The staff also gave a fair valuation of my trade-in and searched for as many discounts as they could.In fact, as I was sitting in the finance office writing a check for my vehicle another gentleman (didnt catch his name) ran into the office with another $500 discount that was hot off the presses, dropping the price yet again. I cant say thats ever happened before.Mike gave me a great tutorial on everything I needed to know about the Cross Sport. He also offered to FaceTime with me to answer any questions I had in the future.As for the car, I couldnt have asked for anything better from my first Volkswagen. Thank you to the entire staff at Volkswagen of Fort Myers!
Bought a VW Tiguan 2021 three row one at this dealership. Very conveniently located to city of Cape Coral. Got the car for what we wanted to pay for it at terms we requested.Salesman Steven was very courteous and professional... Floor manager Cant remember name was very pleasant to deal with. Finance manager was Dean and he was great.Vehicle itself was what we had expected it to be. It is probably one and only car worth the tag for the three row SUV. I would recommend to stay away from four motion and higher end models: not worth the money. I would most certainly recommend the repair facility as well. Folks there are knowledgeable, most courteous and pleasant.All you have to do as a Customer is treat everyone as you would want to be treated.

Very unfortunate that I have to write this review. We leased a Tiguan in August of 2020 at VW of Fort Myers and brought it in for service and the service advisor Paul had noticed a strong odor of mold coming from our car. He advised that this was a known VW issue happening in Tiguan’s where the roof drainage system is leaking into the rear of the vehicle, soaking the carpets overtime and resulted in mold growth in the car. He said that we would want to get it resolved as quickly as possible so that the mold would not get worse and it would not turn into a health issue. We had traveled to NY and had the car repaired by a Volkswagen dealer and odor treated with a strong chemical, however the Mold/Mildew smell is still present in the car and anything we put in the car, including ourselves and our clothes.After returning to FL I made a follow-up appointment at VW of Fort Myers where the car was leased, and the suggestion was to try an ozone treatment - however the cost would be out of pocket to us even though this all stemmed from a known VW issue that is covered under warranty - I was told that I would have to contact Volkswagen Corporate directly to see if they would cover this cost. I called and was assisted and given a case number and later in the week received a call back from the Regional Service manager that they were still looking into the case and would get in touch with VW of Fort Myers and get back to me. I called VW of Fort Myers on Friday and have yet to receive a call back advising any updates for my vehicle while it still sits not at the dealership, but in my garage potentially growing more mold and creating a massive health hazard to my pregnant wife and our family. Not to mention all the items we can’t get the mold smell out of that have been in the car. I’m very disappointed to have leased a car to avoid maintenance troubles, and now I’m stuck with a car that has a mold/health issue, that was supposed to be covered under warranty to “fix”, yet the results of that fix are becoming my responsibility, and after multiple visits and calls to VW there is no resolution they can provide to get rid of the mold and mildew that is still in the car.I have been getting passed back and forth between the dealership who sold us the vehicle, and VW corporate for what is now becoming a health issue that should be covered under the warranty to be resolved completely, not partially.
I purchased a used vehicle at Volkswagen of Fort Myers on 12/13/20. I live nearly 150 miles away, so my entire interaction with my salesman (Eric) was done via email. Once I found the vehicle I was interested in on their site, Eric was extremely helpful in providing me all the details I needed to make a fully-informed purchase without having to physically visit the dealership until the day I decided to buy. His patience and helpfulness made the entire process as smooth as I could have possibly hoped for. After a week of back and forth emails, I was ready to make my purchase, and I made the drive over to find both Eric and the vehicle ready for me to do one last test drive and sign all the needed papers. The professionalism and kindness of all the staff I interacted with ensured that should I be in the market for a vehicle again, Volkswagen of Fort Myers would be a trip worth making.
Do not waste your time or money here !! All you will get is a new car that is constantly breaking down and horrible costumer service and management with no solutions and a horrible attitude. If you want to actually be able to drive the car you pay for then stay away from this place!
The whole staff at VW Ft. Myers is excellent. I leased a Taos yesterday after finishing a Pasaat lease they helped us with 3 years ago. In between, we purchased a used Jetta for my daughter.Diane Gamfer has been our sales person each time. She is realistic, truly listens to what you want/need, and will take all the time you need to make sure you end up with the car and price you are satisfied with. I drove home so happy and know I will not regret my purchase. I drove from Naples to Ft. Myers just because I have had such great experiences there!

He took the time to go over absolutely everything with me and gave me his honest opinion. I never felt like I was being pushed into something I didn’t want to do. I recently leased a 2020 Jetta R line from the amazing guys at fort Myers VW. They are ALL kind, professional, no games or bs, and all about the customers. I was in and out within a couple of hours driving my new car off the lot. I came for this specific vehicle and they got me into a great lease instead of a larger interest rate loan. Just visited the Service and Parts department of Fort Myers Volkswagen for the first time. For a recall safety issue for my 2016 Jetta the issue is leaking fuel from fuel rail with a potential for a fire according to the recall notice from Volkswagen! Service department was not enough scheduled service for a month away? A little concerned they would take a safety issue so lightly!!! Then when asking about a loaner car for the day. Service department says they are not giving loaner cars out for this issue as it’s not that serious per service department! 2nd concerning issue as I do drive my car everyday about 300 miles for work. Upsetting but willing to understand!However the real issue which has me Never wanting to do business with them again came from the gentleman working in the parts department! I was simply trying to inquire on a roof rack and a couple other parts but the extremely rude and unprofessional sales associate had no desire to help several times stating he didn’t know how the roof racks worked was very hesitant and reluctant to even try and look up prices and help me figure it out, again I find this very unprofessional from a VW parts department. I actually told told him not to worry about it and I will just look it up myself on google. I will never understand why people in a customer service position have no desire no passion for what there doing and I think over time actually dealerships and customer services rolls will simply be replaced by online purchases and google it’s really sad that people just don’t want to help others anymore!!!

Worst experience ever, the Ac of my husband’s car doesn’t work and they make you wait weeks to fix it, worst customer service I’ve ever seen. It’s been less than a year and 2 times Ac broken. Excuses that make us think if the price of the worth it. I don’t recommend at all this place
Do NOT get your car serviced here. I had my VW dropped off for some warranty work. Not only did they refuse some of the warranty repairs, they failed to research certain warranty records, they refused to coordinate with VW about possibly covering the repair, they ignored my phone calls, voicemails, failed to return my emails. The cherry on top, my car now has more problems than before I dropped it off, and they wont respond to me anymore. Ive never experienced anything like this in my life.

Make sure you look over every inch of you vehicle before you take it home. Asked before the sale of the oil change was done and that the tires were not modified with any patches and or plugs. Come to find out there was a plug near the side wall of the tire. Dealership won’t take responsibility and hung up on me when I called based off my concern. Great place... ohh then they asked me to call them after they already told me they wouldn’t help me. So great service yet again.

Super dealership, top to bottom, no pressure, they guided me to my final VW purchase of a 2021.5 Atlas 3.5 SEL Premium R Line SUV. Stephen showed me the full line of Atlas cars in person, and demonstrated all the high tech features one by one. They permitted me to delay delivery of the car for a week until some helpful accessories were installed. I would buy more cars from this team that stresses transparency and being there in the future should any problems occur. Buy or lease a car from VW of Ft Myers, you wont be disappointed by the cordial knowledgeable staff.
Before going to VW I already loved their vehicles. All of the people that helped me with the process were patient and super helpful. I love that they did not push me into something I did not want. Definitely will be going back after my lease is up.
Spent the day shopping for cars with my daughter. We had great experiences at all 5 dealers we visited. Smart attentive salespeople doing their best to show and sell a car. Our stop at Ft Myers VW was because we currently have a Passat and wanted to check out the new Tiguan. We parked in front with no one around and (I’d like to say welcomed by...but) were approached by the gentleman that kind of opened the door for us. He showed us the Tiguan on the show floor. Immediately was argumentative and negative and honestly I wanted to walk back in and start over. We came in with a smile and walked out laughing at what a horrid salesman this guy was. He didnt know much about the car - claiming most come in the see the Altas so he doesn’t know as much about the Tiguan...really?! I rarely leave poor reviews- but this visit and another a couple years ago that was equally as bad has left me to this. With the only goal of hoping management starts training better. There are better dealers out there!! VW is a decent brand...but I’ll never set foot in there again. Two stars because the dealership was clean.

Got a huge runaround just trying to get information on a used car I was interested in. They did not call me back, said it was sold and it wasnt and when I got there it was $2000 more with all their fees even with being tax exempt. Very disappointed.

Hi, Ive tried to get someone from finance on the phone. The receptionist keeps hanging up. I called x3 times back to back, and she has literally cut my calls each time. You cant start a purchase of a new vehicle when the basics on customer service dont work. This is for the receptionist: its very unprofessional what youre doing. The sales people dont deserve this.

Everything was cool at VW of Fort Myers. Seems like every 3-4 years starting all over again with car shopping. But this was the best experience ever and we’ve been leasing since 1989. First contact was Dante. Never got his last name, as he was pinch selling for ERIC WILSON who was off the day I showed up. Started on computer and connected with Eric, but I still want to see, feel, and hear what I want to purchase. Eric was extremely patient and professional with me. Finally a POSITIVE experience with a car dealership. Nikki did an amazing job finding exactly what I was asking for and gave me a great selection to choose from in my price range. She even pulled vehicles from another car lot and had them ready for me to view before I arrived. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend.
Wow! I am very impressed and pleased with the service. Lets start with the Sunday crew. Tony Rice who is a great sales manager, Alex Manyhart in finance dept and Nikki in sales. All made my buying experience great and simple. It was a pleasure working with all of them. I talked to Nate a few days prior but did not meet him. Nate connected me with Nikki since he was not going to be there Sunday. Thank you all for the great buying experience. Ill will be bringing my daughter to buy her Lexus soon from this dealership. This is my third VW we have purchased from VW of Fort Myers. Gary Erickson has been my official sales person every time. He has been great to work with. Too Many Hard Pulls on my Credit! I was told by the Sales Agent that only one pull on my credit would occur in order to apply for financing, yes, I did ask. Instead, there are 3 Hard Pulls, so far, on my credit report. I just received another letter today from Capital One. The finance manager did not state that, nor did he inform me; I was under the impression it would be one pull in order to see you would finance me. Anything to get the deal done I suppose. Head to the credit union or your own Bank first. While shopping for a car, I did find a few dealers in Fort Myers that would no accept outside financing in order to purchase. Shop shop shop!
Walked in and was looking at the black GTI on the showroom floor, nobody came up to me or anything or said welcome, or payed attention to us at all. I was very interested in the car but definitely wasn’t going to purchase one there after what happened when I walked in there. The only time someone said something to me was when I was leaving.
I leased a Passat for 3 years and when it was done Gary was able to get me a great deal and extended warranty that made the buyout option a no brainer deal after loving the car. Even after 3 years the Passat tsi is still high tech and most importantly it has had no issues. Thanks Gary, highly recommend!
