The folks at Twin Screws Marine Service did a complete overhaul and restoration of my 32 2008 Ocean Express offshore catamaran. Initially, I hired them to do a pre-purchase inspection/test of the engines on the boat. After some discussion with Jimmy, it became very clear that he was an expert in his field. He also knew a LOT about tunnel hull catamarans. After I purchased the boat, I had more discussions with Jimmy as well as a few other boat yards about the work I needed done to restore the boat to brand new condition as well as to re-purpose it as a day charter vessel instead of a fishing boat as it was originally designed to be. It did not take me long to figure out that the other boat yards were sorely lacking in their understanding of the issues they would likely encounter when working on my boat. It also didnt take me long to figure out that Jimmy and the crew at Twin Screws were the right guys for the job. In our initial discussions, Jimmy went into EVERYTHING that needed to be done - whether it was on my list or not. He raised my awareness on things I quite frankly had no idea were even issues. Jimmys knowledge of boats is broad AND deep and the more we spoke, the more comfortable I was with the decision I was about to make to hire them. Jimmy was up front and honest with me as we discussed budget and the schedule. He said he would do his best to include anything and everything he could think of and include it on the initial estimate. He also told me that he could do the job fast if I wanted him to, but he would much rather do the job right.This project took about 6 months for them to complete, give or take. I should note that I live in Massachusetts and that we kept in touch via phone calls, Facetime calls, texts, and emails. Ideally, I would have liked to have been close by so that I could stop by on occasion, but Jimmy & Christina did a great job of keeping me in the loop. There was never a time when I felt isolated, in the dark, or uninformed. I never felt like I needed to get on an airplane right away and check on these guys. I trusted them and they trusted me.The boat was stripped from bow to stern. Most things like wiring, plumbing, electronics, vinyl/seats, and engines were pretty straightforward. Then there were a few things I wanted that were custom and its here where Jimmy and the crew at Twin Screws really shined. I wanted a high end audio system with only a handful of requirements. Jimmy took the ball and ran with it and gave me exactly what I wanted and more. He really spent a lot of time on the layout and design and I couldnt be happier. I also needed a custom anchor windlass installed. Once again, Jimmy really outdid himself. He built me a totally concealed windlass system that will allow control from the bow or the helm. The attention to detail on this design is impressive.The decision to re-power was an easy one. Jimmy had a recommendation based on my description of how the boat was to be used and we quickly settled on 2 new Suzuki 300s. You might think that you just buy a new motor and you bolt it on the back - no big deal. Nope. It is a big deal and this is another area where it became clear I chose the right shop to restore my boat. This boat was going to be a day charter boat being used for tours, snorkeling, etc.so I really wanted it to be set up for efficiency, comfort and longevity. Knowing that, Jimmy made me aware of some of the issues and told me his plan. Motor mounting height was important as were the propellers we chose. We also needed to consider the power steering system.  Just another example of the huge knowledge base across the entire team at Twin Screws.So, now the boat is done and it runs, looks, and sounds fantastic. Jimmy & Christina went above and beyond in their efforts to make sure everything on my boat was solid and I was happy before we put my boat on a freighter bound for the Virgin Islands. If youre trying to figure out who to hire to fix, re-power, restore, or do anything to your boat, you can stop looking - Twin Screws Marine Service is the place.

Professional, knowledgeable and honest. When I took my boat in for inspection they did an honest inspection and priced right. They explained what was going on and what I needed and I was amazed at how little I ended up paying. All I can say is wow and my boat Will only be taken care of by the people at twin screws

I called into the area to buy a boat and wanted them to inspect it because I did not trust the person due to a lot of reasons. The inspector showed up on time and did not even have to pull out tools to tell me that it would cost me more than the boat is worth to fix it up. He explained everything to me and the owner. The owner didnt even pay anything but you could tell that he loves boats so he didnt have a problem telling him what needs to be fixed. Professional, knowledgeable, great attitude, great company! I will use them again. The price to do the inspection was great.

I would not recommend this business to anyone. They are dishonest and out to get rich quick.

I meant to post this review months ago but this is hands down the best shop. They are dedicated and communicative. They worked for a year on my boat non stop and didnt give up, complications arose again and again but they never stopped till it ran again. You wont regret using these guys.

I cant say enough positive things about Twin Screws marine. Christina, Bill and Jimmy were amazing to deal with. I live on the east cost of Florida and purchased a used boat in Ft Meyers. Twin Screws did the inspection along with fixing a few problems. Their customer service and communication with me was top notch. Thank you for all your help.

The Technical staff as well as the office staff far exceed expectations.I needed service on my twin Merc 225s. Jimmy (the owner) arrived on time and diagnosed the problems immediately. He assisted in a quick sea trial to assure the problems had been corrected. These guys traveled over 1.5 hrs (3hr round trip) to my home on a Saturday to fuel polish my boat. They pulled all the water and contaminates out of my fuel tank to brand new. Also did a few extra things for me at no charge. Guys we’re polite, very knowledgeable and help full. Very pleased !! Thanks jimmy and gage !!

Called for a Mobile service on our boat located in Napels. Talked to Christina over the phone to schedule who was very nice and professional. We had trouble with our power to the master rocker and called a mobile repair service on Fort Myers Beach. The two fellows that came out couldnt figure it out! We then called Jim from Twin Screws and within 15 minutes he had the answer!! He is a great guy and very knowledgeable! We even tried to give him a tip and he said, No that is not necessary. You pay enough! He charged us $137.00 for finding the problem and then he had to order a part. He came back the next day and finished the job!! We are really happy that we found a reasonable and knowledgeable guy to work on our boat!

After having our boat held captive by Walker Marine for over a month and countless $$$$, We called Twin Screw and they responded in less than 2 hrs! They squeezed us in and came at 6:30 pm because they felt so bad about our Walker experienceChristina Jim and Gage are incredible!They diagnosed the problem and got us on the water the next dayI wish We had found them before we went to WalkerI highly recommend them and look forward to having them continue to service our boat!!!!

My Mercury Verados were in need of annual marine motor service so I scheduled Twin Screws Marine Service to come to my location. They had a work boat so they did the service right at my dock! I am impressed with these guys, great pricing, knowledgeable and friendly.

Honest. Professional. Highly skilled. Master mechanic Jimmy Dailey was critical for the refit of my older sailboat for liveaboard duty. Air conditioning, refrigeration, diesel cooling system, transmission, engine mounts, and more. Options are clearly explained, estimates are realistic, all communication and appointments are timely. TOOK MY BOAT AND TRAILER IN FOR REPAIRS. NEEDED COMPLETE NEW BRAKES ON TRAILER, ONE TRIM PUMP WAS NOT WORKING. AND TRAILER LIGHTS NEEDED WORK. AFTER TEN DAYS OF NOT RETURNING PHONE CALLS THEY CALLED AND SAID IT WAS DONE. AFTER PAYING $2300 I PICKED UP MY BOAT. THEY SAID ALL NEW BREAKS, ROTORS, AND CALIPERS. ALSO THAT THE TRIM PUMP JUST NEEDED TO BE BLED OUT. I PULLED ON TO RT 41 AND ALMOST GOT IN ACCIDENT! NO BREAKS AT ALL. GOT BACK TO HOUSE TO FIND THAT THE LIGHTS WERE WIRED WRONG AND BLEW THE FUSE IN TRUCK. PUT BOAT IN WATER AND ALL THE TRIM FLUID LEAKED INTO CANAL AND WOULD NOT TRIM.TOOK THE BOAT BACK FOR TWO MORE DAYS. THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT FIX BREAKS DID NOT KNOW HOW. COULD NOT FIX TRAILER WIRING ALSO. THE TOLD ME I NEEDED TO PURCHASE NEW TRIM PUMP FOR ANOTHER $2000. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST. ENDED UP WITH NEW MECHANIC TO FIND OUT THAT THEY PUT BEARING IN AXELS WRONG WHEN PLACING NEW ROTORS. NEW TRIM PUMP AND RE-WORKED BREAKS. ALL IS GOOD NOW BUT I LOST $2300 PLUS FURTHER DAMAGE TO TRAILER BEARINGS. $2900 LATER ALL IS WELL. WOULD NEVER LET THEM TOUCH MY BOAT AGAIN!!!!!!

Estimate was 2-3 times higher than other marine repair services. Jimmy was more concerned with charging $100+ to give an outrageous estimate. Maybe Twin Screws Marine makes more money this way? Look elsewhere for a fair repair shop and save your money...
