I bought a car sight unseen and wired cash from PA to FL! My bank had the willies (because of the internet in general) and I did a ton of extra diligence ahead of the transaction. JJ is proactive, responsive and detail oriented. The car arrived faster than expected with all paperwork and in the condition represented. I appreciated his level of attention and also his responsiveness when I leaned in and asked a ton of questions about him and the business to ensure that I could trust an internet transaction when I had not seen him or the car in person. JJ, was very honest with information on the vehicle I purchased. It took me several months to get the vehicle through an emissions test to get legal in the great state of Ohio.None of the issues were any fault of JJ.Being the straight shooter, JJ, put a new battery in the car and cleared all the data on the five computers so I had to go through a drive cycle.The vehicle is great.Oh by the way its a 2013, Corvette, Model 427Ive never seen one on the road everJJ, is the man Ill turn to for my next high performance vehicle

My experience with South Car Motorsports and JJ Armstrong was exceptional from start to finish.JJ had a 1976 Pontiac Formula for sale on Hemmings and I reached out to him about the car via email and we set up a time to talk on the phone. He told me about the history of the car, how he came to own it and that the 7900 miles on the car was original. This was further substantiated by registrations, titles and other documents going back to the original owner.After having a couple of phone calls and getting comfortable with each other we scheduled a Face Time viewing (I am in Boston and the car is in Florida). JJ dialed me up at the time we set and we spent about thirty minutes going thru the car, every part of the car. He showed me door jams, under the hood, trunk, interior and went out of his way to point out two very minor blemishes in the original paint that is on the car. We continued to talk, he had a ton of patience and we set up another walk around as well as a “virtual test drive” so I could see how the car drove, shifted and accelerated.After I was comfortable with the transparency and honesty that JJ was showing, we talked price and came to a mutually acceptable figure. From there I was mailed a sales contract which was very straight forward which I mailed back with a check for the car and also shipping. The shipping quote that was also provided by the dealer was with his shipping company for an enclosed trailer and probably about 600-800 less than I expected.Once the check was clear, shipping was scheduled. JJ performed a video walk around of the car running and driving before loading on to the truck and sent that to me. He really went out of his way to ensure that what I was buying was exactly what he had portrayed it as.The car arrived on Feb 12, about a month from my first inquiry. The car is better than described and JJ was beyond honest the entire way. He returned phone calls, answered any questions I had and kept me updated on everything that was happening. I received the title in a separate mail with a PHS Document, older titles and maintenance slips that are all part of the story of this 7900 mile 44 year old car.I am going to share one more thing.South Car Motor Sports has over 500 sales on Ebay with a 100% rating as well as reviews on various automotive related sites. I did my research however I did see one review that was terrible…..actually awful. I know that buying a car from the internet can be a tough thing to do, I have felt that burn before though with all of the positive reviews that I was reading about the dealer and JJ specifically I figured there was more to the story. If you do see that review, read it carefully. I assume that person went thru the same process and rec’d a video of the car running prior to transport and I am sure it was in the same running condition when it arrived.What I read into that review was whoever bought the car (a 32 Ford) decided it would be a good idea to beat the snot out of it, have his own “hold my beer” moment as soon as he got it and probably blew it up, that is my guess.Keep in mind that there are bad sellers BUT there are also bad buyers out there and I believe that the ONLY one bad review you will find on South Car Motorsports is that one bad buyer that I am sure JJ wished he had not ever met.

I just purchased a car from JJ this past Saturday. I went to look at it on Thursday and the entire experience could not have gone better. JJ was very pleasant and knowledgeable as well as being very personable. I took my wife there on my 2nd visit and she thought the same. It was nice to feel like you could really trust the person that you are buying from when really you are trusting a lot on what he is telling you when it comes to the history of the vehicle. J.J Armstrong sold me a 1932 Ford Roadster with a bad engine. He told me it was great with no issues. When it was delivered I could tell right away something was very wrong. I had repair shop check it out and they explained two of the cylinders were bad. I had repair shop explain to J.J. Armstrong and he said he would check with his mechanic and call me back. He never did and has avoided all my calls and texts and emails since than. I bought the car on 12-14-2019. He can make it right by paying the repair shop. He will not respond and clearly hopes I just go away and he can keep ripping people off. I have all documentation to prove every single word I am saying. He is a liar and a cheat. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM J.J. ARMSTRONG!!!!

A month ago I purchased A street Rod from South Car Motorsports. JJ sold me the vehicle. JJ assisted me from start to finish he even helped with the shipping. Weeks after I received the vehicle JJ still keeps in touch with me and will answer all my questions with no hesitation.

Where to start? I was searching for a 1955 Bel Air in a specific color combination when I came across an ad. I contacted JJ at South Car Motorsports who told me it had been sold a while ago. He offered to help me in my search. I wanted black with silver trim and a black interior but it HAD to be a hardtop and as stock looking as possible. He called me in about 4 weeks and told me he thought he had found the right car, and would fly out to see it if I was still looking. I was, and he did. He called me when he was by the car and spent an hour going over every part of it, good and bad, and kept making sure I didn’t have any other questions for the seller. Over the next three days he researched values and went over prior sales of Bel Air’s to help me ascertain a value. I would’ve paid more, but he told me to set a cap on the price because of the market changing on them. He asked if his fee to assist in getting it wrapped up was ok with me, and I said NO! You have to take a little more than that! He wouldn’t, and said that for 20 years he wanted to help people get the car of their dreams and wouldn’t think of asking more. He oversaw the purchase, shipping, and took care of printing my states paperwork for me so I could just walk into my DMV office and leave with a new title and plate! The car showed up in about 3 weeks, and it was even nice than I imagined. I can’t thank JJ enough for all the assistance and help and actually offering to help me when I called about a sold car and not just saying it was sold and hanging up like some places did. I hope to get to buy another from him one day, and HIGHLY recommend him! Five star experience from beginning to end!
