I brought in the reminder of a coin collection. I was helped quickly and carefully. Needless to say, I walked out very happy. Also, noticed the AMAZING collection of jewelry, coins and art collectibles for sale. Much more interesting than mall and jewelry stores.

I came in for the second time with my Aunt after she sold Garrett some broken jewelry a few weeks ago.He was so knowledgeable and his passion for what he does made us feel so comfortable.My Aunt was nervous about the process and Garrett was so patient and answered all our questions and more.My Aunt has a very large coin collection to sell off and we recently came back to The Coin and Jewelry Exchange. Garrett remembered us by name as soon as we walked in. My aunt brought just a few coins to see what they would be worth.We had a to wait just a couple minutes for him to finish up with a couple (that left just as happy as we did ) but he made sure to offer us some cold water bottles when we waited which we happily took. A couple minutes later he was helping us and telling us what the coins were worth.He explained the difference between the silver and gold value for common coins and the coin value for ones that were better. We had a Carson City Morgan and it was taken from the group and we were paid more for it compared to coins that (to us) all looked the same.Again, we felt great about the experience and will be back soon with the full estate, a couple watches and a diamond to see Garrett. I have sold quite a few inherited items here and as far as I can tell they have always offered me a fair price for my items. They take the time to research the value of things if they do not have a good idea of an items value. Also they are friendly and patient. The ONLY drawback I have experienced is that the store gets cramped if they are busy.

As I was running around to sell my engagement ring and some other items from my now ex- husband. I found myself exhausted and beaten down after being in 4 shops that I felt we’re trying to take advantage of me.I decided to try again the next day but was lucky to pass this shop on the way, and decided to go in. When I walked in, a nice guy named John asked how he could help me.I told him that I had spent the day trying to sell my engagement ring along with other items. He asked if I knew what price I was looking for for the ring. I had said I really didn’t know but the highest price I was offered was 4700 . I said I didn’t know much but I knew my diamond in theCenter was over 2 carrots. I had my old paperwork.he used it to look up some information., . I knew that now I would get a fair offer . He offered me 7700 on my engagement ring alone . And another 1600 for my other items. I asked if he could do 200 more to make it 9500 he said no problem. I have since gone back twice to sell gold silverware. I don’t plan to go anywhere else . Thanks again for being so fair and honest. I send 3 other friends in and they had a similar experience.

This was a very well-stocked neighborhood coin and jewelry store run by its very friendly owner, John Corcione, until...not sure how long ago, exactly - several months ago? a year ago?THEN IT GOT WAY, WAY BETTER! John and his staff expanded and made some drastic improvements.Beforehand, yes, he had plenty of gold and silver, all kinds of top-grade professionally graded coins from American Eagles to 19th century gold, estate jewelry, sports memorabilia, and other things that you might expect to see at your better-than-average neighborhood coin shop. Of course, there were also the obligatory bins of modest-grade Lincoln Wheat pennies that you could buy for a pittance, sorted by decade, even. But his shop was so small and things were so jam-packed that you had to have an extra bit of desire to sift through quite a bit of only barely-organized inventory if you wanted something less expensive or out-of-the-ordinary.But, as I said above, some time ago (several months? a year?), the store at least doubled in size, taking over the next storefront just North of it in the same plaza. And the difference? Oh My Gosh!Now the place looks like a museum hidden in a regular ole neighborhood!This has given John, and his great support staff, enough space to more properly display and highlight his unexpectedly really good inventory.Now all of his jewelry has been moved into the new expansion, with his massive amount of costume jewelry out in a huddled-together group of tables in the middle of the floor, separated from the nicer jewelry, (sterling and even finer, including a little bit in the way of mens), in glass cases along the perimeter of the room.John also has a good bit of military memorabilia in the new expansion, displayed well-enough befitting its importance. There is also a modest, but still eye-catching selection of antiques and other exotics.You can also feel more secure there, as security has been beefed-up, including window screens that greatly reduce visibility from the outside looking-in. He also has divider screens shielding store employees and customers from each other at the check-out point. Of the 4 local coin shops Ive been to, his is the only one that has this in place.John is always buying and selling and seems to be familiar with just about everybody who walks in the shop. Or at least he is consistently that friendly. And he will pay attention to anybody - from the customers who walk in looking to buy or sell a fair bit of gold, to those who maybe only need to fill in a hole or two in their modest collection of pennies.This place gets my top recommendation. It is a worthy place in which to invest a little extra time and money, if you have it, during these brutal Covid times. John & Co. make the dictum Think globally, act locally painless to follow. Check the math and your net cash out with this company. I trusted them until a simple oversight caught my attention and that oversight could of turned into a short of approximate $200. I sold junk silver coins. I was also confused as to who they kept calling on the phone to get authorization from? I was under the impression that they were the owner operators?

I’ve spent several hours during two separate visits looking to complete a nice MS-grade set of Washington Quarters, Roosevelt & Mercury Dimes and Walking Liberty 50-cent coins. I wasn’t looking for “slabbed or PCGS” graded coins, just 2x2 packaged coins in AU or MS-60 grade (or higher) condition.John was very helpful in providing me boxes of coins to look through as well as opting to purchase the coins I was looking to exchange/upgrade. John gave me a very fair price for both the coins I purchased as well as exchanged/upgraded.Although I didn’t purchase any bullion, from the various conversations that I overheard- customers were very happy w/ their purchases/pricing.Definitely worth the visits and conversation/education.

You assumed that I thought the nickel was worth something but again if you would have LISTENED there was something on it that wanted to know what it was. But Gulf Coast Coin and Jewlery helped me with it. THEY LISTENED. Maybe if youre to busy to handle it alone hire someone. Or dont do more than you can handle. While on vacation in Ft. Myers, I was bummed that the coin shop that was recommended to me was closed. (On a Saturday no less), so I looked up other coin shops on google and found Coin and Jewely Exchange. I went in and it was a collectors paradise. I am mostly a coin guy, but an into military collectables and a variety of other things. There was all kinds of cool stuff and coins galore. They obviously do some volume because they didnt have room for all the cool stuff they had for sale. Collectors like me live for places that we have lots of stuff to look through and treasures to find. In the end they gave me some ibcredible deals on sime hard to find coins. John was neighborly, knowledgBle and cool. Felt welcome as soon as I walked in. I will do business with these guys for life. A must stop for real vollectors coming to Ft Myers for any reason.
