We were new to the area and didn’t know which contractors to use for the multiple remodeling jobs we needed to do. Luckily we were happy with all our choices except the granite contractor, D& R Granite. It started with a polite and knowledgeable representative coming to the house to measure and quotes price. After picking out the slab of granite we first chose to go with another contractor that was a bit less expensive. When we found out their lead time was 4-6 weeks we ultimately went with D & R who were able to complete the job in 2 weeks(red flag #1-not busy when all your competitors are). Next was going to their “showroom” to sign a contract. The office was in a rundown building and hard to find(red flag #2-can’t afford a decent office/showroom or doesn’t have enough pride to want one). A 50% deposit was required which made me uncomfortable but they insisted(red flag #3-don’t have enough working capital to wait until the job is completed to get paid). The job was completed timely and pictures of the job were texted to me along with a request to call their office to put the final payment on my credit card.At that time I explained to the owner(I assumed he was the owner) we would be coming back to Florida and would like to look at the job before making our final payment. That’s when he became rude and threatening, calling me a liar and talking about putting a lien on the house. I told him I would send a check which I did and post dated it with a date that would allow us to stop payment if the work was unsatisfactory. Upon inspection of the work once we were back in Florida, the 2 bathroom sink tops looked fine. The walls around them, however, were damaged from the installation. The countertops in the kitchen had 4 chips in different areas on the underside of the front edge. The stone is also cracked in the sink area. Unfortunately D & R was able to cash the check before the date which leaves no other options but to use the legal system to recoup damages. There are so many granite contractors in the area there is no reason to take a chance with this one.

We are extremely pleased with the quality of the work performed. Ronald is courteous, as well as a true professional. All the appointments were kept as scheduled. We highly recommend this company!

Such a refreshing experience compared to other granite installers I have worked with. Elizabeth was so kind and informative and helped us pick the perfect granite for a small kitchen. Communication was awesome throughout the entire process. The granite was perfect and exactly how we had communicated we wanted it cut, and the install was a breeze and very professional. One of the installers is also a plumber and installed sink and plumbing in no time. The entire install took maybe 3 hours, and no problems. Extremely impressed with the entire process and the timeframe was accurate. Thanks to all involved for a wonderful and very professional experience.

I ordered a small section of black galaxy granite for a bathroom vanity. I called lots of places but these guys had exactly what I wanted and their price was very reasonable. They made it within the time frame they advised and seemed very helpful throughout the process. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this company to others as well as use them again. All I can say is OMG, D AND R is best contractors I have ever worked with, their work is excellent, cant beat their prices. We picked our granite out and the very next week they installed it, and did a fantastic job. Look no further go with D and R and you wont be sorry
