Got there at 9pm (closing time) and needed 1 item - thanks for letting me run in. Store is clean and well stocked. Lots of sun and beach items.

Nice store. We were there about 4:30 - 5:00 pm. Was able to get right in and out as it was not crowded at that time of day.

One of the few Publix around me with no self checkout. Last stop before Sanibel so expect LONG lines of tourists stocking up for the weekend. Beware of the surly seniors who will cut you off at the pass.

Terrible service. Ive been going here for about a year, and cant believe how unprofessional and rude a lot of this staff is. I ordered a cake for my sons birthday a day ago and they never took down the order, no biggie- mistakes happen. But, the lady at the bakery who does the decorating, could not be bothered. She was ready leave and was quite uncaring about the whole thing. Ive been ording from the deli and had associates talk about how terrible the store is, how dirty, how they dont care about their employees, and then disrespect their supervisor in front of them and customers. A lot of the workers are very nice, and even try to make up for the lack of effort from their coworkers. But, it has been a consistent issue for me at this store for almost a year now. It seems to be mostly the deli/bakery area staff. I dont usually leave negative reviews, but those here visiting or just moving to the area need to be aware- shop here at your own risk. I will not be going back.

I am from Indiana stopped here for groceries. Very nice selection of organic items. The shelfs were all stocked and the store was very clean. Very impressive.

Publix treats you like a first class citizen. Walmart treats customers like roaches.

This is one of the best grocery stores I have been in. It has a huge selection of all kinds of brands, the deli section has many excellent foods, and it has a lot of beach items. Very clean and friendly.

Best place to shop for your daily needs. Its the last stop for shopping before you are vacationing on the Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Very clean store with decent prices

I was on break from work and stopped in for a sub. Someone was ahead of me and a nice gentleman stepped up and made my sub. Already super impressed with the customer service, my cashier, Luke, rung up my sub twice my mistake. When I pointed this out, he swiftly corrected it and apologized. 2/2 Publix! Very happy with my trip. I will return.Very impressed with the courtesy the staff have here. Keep doing a great job, guys!

Publix at Sanibel Place is a wonderful shopping experience! The shelves are neat and well- stocked, it is scrupulously clean and the atmosphere is friendly. Since we go every week, some of the staff recognize us and greet us when they see us. Makes us feel very welcome.s.

Good location close to Sanibel and very well stocked, particularly with produce. Much better than either Jerry’s or especially Bailey’s on Sanibel Island. However, Target at San Carlos offers free grocery curbside/drive-up pickup (your purchases, anything, are placed directly into your trunk). Publix still has much higher labor costs and pricing at Target is much less expensive (a bag of Oreos is $2.99-$3.39 with the same package at least $1 more at Publix; multiply that across a large order for a weeks stay at Sanibel or Captiva, and it’s a huge difference, plus you don’t even need to leave your car and can order ahead). You’ll safe even more if you order from Walmart (2 big locations nearby), but I won’t shop there unless an emergency.

This place is not a Publix kind of service. No one greats you, or asks if you need help. The lady and the gentleman at check out were busy talking about cannabis, that she didnt even make eye contact with me until it was time to pay and all she said it is **.**$

It was closing time and after a VERY long day of travel the manager let me back in the exit doors to purchase a sunpass for my car rental. Customer service desk was equally as excellent for this tired single mom from Ohio who knows zilch about sunpass protocol. Thank you Publix. We will be back this week. ✌️🌴

Prices were good but the employees were even better. All were very friendly.

Love your store but I just left and my bag broke because there was a 4 lb bag of sugar, a 21 oz can, 2 15 oz cans, a 15.5 oz jar and a 16 oz jar in one plastic bag . The 21 oz can hit my foot when the bag ripped in multiple places. I’m a senior. Please remind your baggers, who are usually fantastic, to please double bag and separate the heaviest cans. Thank you! I will remember my cloth bags next time!

Loved Publix for years but we bought a Thanksgiving advertised dinner having no clue that it would be frozen when we picked up. Our choice WBA’s to cancel our guests or stay up all night turning it in cold water. Advertising was not clear, it said just take home and heat and we weren’t told when we picked it up Wednesday night.

Just went to this Publix and the staff get couldn’t be nicer!One huge suggestion ...... during a pandemic when you have only two registers open on a Sunday morning between 7-8 am, spread them out!!!!I couldn’t understand for the life of me why they had to be right next to one another!!Cashiers, baggers and customers on top of one another with one cashier occasionally bringing face covering below her nose !Not cool on mgt part but the staff were super friendly !!!!

Just went to this Publix and had a cashier named Julia.She was coughing, then coughed into her hand and then picked up our items to scan. My husband was bagging our groceries, and we were mortified.When we got back to our car, I called the store manager and told her what happened. She started making excuses for the cashier, and said people are still getting used to having to change habits, during this health crisis.Julia, the cashier, should have coughed into her elbow, not her hands, even in healthy times.Shame on Julia, and shame on the manager of this store for making excuses, and trying to justify her behavior.THIS IS AN ADDITION TO MY LAST POST.NBC NEWS JUST HAD ON THEIR 5PM NEWS THAT 2 EMPLOYEES TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID 19 AT THIS STORE. I watched this evening cashier Gloria perform a great job with a very difficult customer. She was professional, courteous and firm. They were trying to pass bad coupons and try to get items without being scanned. I was very proud of how she protected the integrity of Publix and herself! Good job Gloria!!

Typically perfect Publix

I’ve been going to this store for 20 years but during the Covid-19 virus there are more customers in the store NOT wearing masks. Why does the store allow all those people in the store without masks. I don’t feel safe in Publix anymore. Delivery only.

Publix is always great

I love Publix, generally but have a small problem with their boxed goods like potato or macaroni salad and others made apparently by the same outsource company. I do hope that you will consider the contents of this letter as constructive. I do a great deal of shopping at the various Publix markets near my residence and have almost always been very pleased with the cleanliness of your facilities and the quality of your products. But there is one major exception. I am aware that your company outsources the prepared salads, such as potato, macaroni, and egg salads, and others, housed in clear plastic and generally displayed near your deli area. However, whoever is preparing this product for Publix is doing your stores a great disservice. They are ungodly awful, nearly inedible, consisting primarily of Mayonnaise and little else. They are also tasteless.After my initial experience with your potato salad, and then the macaroni salad, I no longer purchase any of those easily identifiable products. I am aware that it may be necessary for you to outsource because of the sheer volume required, but there must be a way to have the producer make something that is at least edible.I would strongly suggest that you seek another source for these salads, or compel the producer to make a better product, as I am sure there must be a great deal of waste in what they are providing. I threw my salads in the trash after one taste. When I want potato or macaroni, or egg salad, it is inconvenient for me to have to go to a different store to get that item. Can’t you please correct this awful situation so that I can continue to shop at Publix knowing that you care about your customers’ satisfaction?

It was a great experience until we checked out. The cashier gave us a weird look and we had to bag our own groceries because she was not going to do it for us. I guess they don’t get paid for that? It’s bag your own groceries at this publix.

I couldnt believe the horrible service I received (or rather didnt receive) from Nancy at the checkout today. She was standing at the end of the express (10 items or less) lane doing nothing. As I was waiting in the next aisle, I asked if I could come over. I had 15 items in my cart. She rudely stated 10 items or less and practically pulled a lady walking by into her checkout to avoid dealing with me. Not even a sorry. It should be store policy not to make customers wait if someone is available to help. I dont think I should have even had to ask her to help me...especially since I only had 15 items. If I wanted to be treated so rudely, I would go to Walmart. If it wasnt for the absolutely delightful gentleman bagging my groceries, I would never come back.

My 8 year old daughter got lots of compliments from all of the nice ladies working there. She says go there if you want compliments. LolIt was a very nice and clean store and everyone was very helpful.

Very nice store. Laid out sensibly, well stocked, full of fresh veggies and fruits. It was noontime, and the store was not particularly busy. We will be happy to return.

Nicest (most patient) staff anywhere and a GREAT bakery. Selection caters to international tourists and Sanibel crowd. Prices are on the high side, reflecting a demographic that would rather buy there than on the island. Lots of beach/shelling/fishing stuff, if thats where youre headed.
